I’ll be the whistle blower. I worked for this company for over two years. The Doctors at this location are wonderful, they are knowledgeable and kind! However, management was poor. I quit about two months ago because of over booking the Dr.s and having a minimal patient to staff ratio. Management was aware of this situation, but still looked the other way. We had applications for employment to help, but the company wanted someone bilingual. They also wanted to enjoy their weekends off and not be bothered. Management knows about the staff to patient ratio, but simply doesn’t care; or at least while I worked there. Owner is Dr. Robert Lewenson.
I Dont understand the LOW rating that people gave. I would recommend them to everyone. The staff was courteous and knowledgeable they were professional. 5 stars here
I scheduled appointments 2 weeks in advance. They confirmed my appt a few days before. Then the day of my appointments they want to reschedule because they dont know whats going on. They tell me ins takes a week to come thru they had 2 weeks to do that Im only am home a few days a month. They need to figure out there stuff.Would not recommend.
Poor customer serviceand incompetent employees!Had appt made appt was told they didnt take my insurance but didnt bother to call me before hand.Nextday get one of their advertisements and first insurance company listed as being accepted was EyeMed my insurance!
Wow, what a circus. The doctor was robotic-- the only time he showed any emotion was when he got snippy with me. He told me my eyes were okay, then he writes me a prescription for glasses. So if my eyes are okay, why do I need glasses? He never showed me the numbers: I have no idea if my eyesight is 20/30 or 20/100. Worst of all, he dilated my eyes and did not give me one of those cheap, throwaway shades like every other eye doctor who has ever dilated my eyes.The staff wasnt much better. There were about 4 or 5 people sitting around spilling tea about who-knows-what while I awkwardly waited to be called on. The doctor, staff, and interior felt alien, like another species trying to replicate human decor and behavior.The one upside is that the place is cheap, but I think Id rather pay extra so I can deal with carbon based lifeforms and get a somewhat decent quality of care. Idk what it is with Zephyrhills and people working in medical fields, but some of yall need to go into business or accounting or STEM and stay away from people because you obviously cant be bothered.Its called healthcare not healthindifference.Its sus that there are so many 5 star reviews that say nothing in detail about their experience except that it was awesome. I think the 1.5 star rating on Yelp is more deserved than the 3.8 star rating on Google reviews.And please dont respond to this comment with corporate schmoozing. Just try and be better.
Best experience and staff, especially Amber who was very patient and knowledgeable. If it hadn’t been for her being so helpful on the phone I would have gone somewhere else. So glad I didn’t, best eye doctor experience I’ve ever had!

Every business has an off day and it is how they respond that shows a lot about the companies integrity. My initial visit on 8/26/2020 was one of those visits where if it could go wrong it did. Over 2 hr wait times, angry customers we have all been in a situation like this. When I told the employee at the front I could not wait anymore and left she apologized and I thought that would be the last time I would hear from them... I was wrong. The district manager called me and apologized and explained what happened that day and how things spiraled downward that day. I decided based on this conversation to give them another chance, and I am glad I did. The staff was on point, friendly and extremely helpful. Its amazing the difference when you do not have angry customer berating you to the point of tears (which is never acceptable BTW). The doc was on time, professional and seemed o have a good sense of humor. The office is laid out with chairs spaced far enough apart for social distancing and everything is wiped down after use.This is a fine establishment with good people working here.
Customer service was bad.. only to people where working at the time definitely not going back. My appointment was at 12:45 and its now currently 2:54 2 hours later and Im barley leaving 😠
Very nice young lady took care of me, and in just days I had my glasses, I just wish I would have got my sun glasses also.
The optometrist was hateful and rude. She obviously hates her job. The office staff is no better.
Extremely unorganized staff. Arrived for my appointment 15 minutes early as instructed. 30 minutes after my scheduled appointment time I was advised the staff couldnt find my insurance provider information based off my insurance card and the doctor couldnt see me. I immediately got on the phone with the provider and two minutes later the OO employee advised me they have found my information. At this point its 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment. When I asked when Id be seen by an eye doctor in informed the doctor is now at lunch and will not see me for another 30 minutes which is over a hour after my appointment time. I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Edit: Since Christina, the District Manager responded, I followed her direction and called Dailin, the store manager. They had already placed an order for an entire new pair of glasses for my son. Those glasses have already been delivered. While my intention was not to get an entire new pair of glasses for free, I appreciate Christina and her customer service. I have changed my review to 3 stars from the original 1 star. I will say that my conversation with Dailin was less than pleasant. She was quite short and rude and only seemed interested in proving that she was right and not apologizing for her employee’s misinformation that was provided to me. I have spoken with several people that have had the same experience. I appreciate Christina going above and beyond to correct said mistake.My son broke his glasses and I called the store to find out what could be done. I was told that since it had been less than 30 days, the frames could be replaced for free. I asked the person on the phone if he would be able to keep his glasses while we waited for the frames to come in. I was told yes he could and to come in and speak to the manager. I just left the store frustrated and angry because I was lied to. The person that I talked to in the store said that because it would be the free replacement, they would have to send the glasses out and it would take 2-3 weeks before they would be back. I was informed that had I purchased the replacement plan he would have been able to keep the glasses while we waited. I’ve bought 3 pairs of glasses in the last 3 weeks and have never been offered a replacement plan. How is one supposed to know this is an option, if the sales people don’t bother to offer it?? I have spent years in retail and service. If something was told to a customer over the phone, you should honor that. How is it that if I had paid them even more money, they would actually let a child keep his glasses while waiting for new frames? These purchases were my first and last time I will ever be using this facility.

One of the staff members (Amber) was very rude to my 13 year old son. She spoke with a lot of attitude, a very commanding tone, and aggression with regards to telling him to put on his mask. Theres a much nicer way of asking someone to do that.
Had an appointment at 12:45. Walked in and was completely ignored by 2 employees and there was nobody at the front desk. I had to interrupt an employee to ask about their intake procedure/ where to sit. Her response.... “yeah I guess so”. The manager should be ashamed of the lack of customer service at this store.

I usually have a good experience until i went to an appointment with my daughter. There was a gentleman that works there, his name is Jose. He was very kind as always and very helpful. As he was helping me with my daughters glasses, his supervisor came out and started to yell at him in front of all the customers, because she said he wasnt greeting customers as they came in, while he was assisting me and my daughter which I thought was very unprofessional. She could have spoken to him in private. That was the first time that i have ever experienced that.
Tiffany was awesome with customer service! I went in to get a repair on discontinued frames that I love and she went out of her way to locate them for me at another location. And also helped me get a deal on 2 more economical pairs for back up.
The doctor was nice and listened, it was quick and the worker, Tiffany, was super nice and patient while helping with contacts. It was a great experience! Thank you so much for the help Tiffany!
Just left Optical Outlets and Tiffany was awesome..She worked very hard to help me get the perfect glasses and a good price.. I would definitely come back again and again. The Optometrist was also great, he did a really good job..tThis is a great place for glasses and I definitely recommend that you see Tiffany...
My experience with Optical Outlets was a five star. Everyone that work there was doing the best they could by helping everyone. Tiffany was my assistant and she did everything she could to please me.And yes she did, thank you very much to Tiffany and all the Staff at Optical Outlets.

Dropped off a prescription on 3/6/2019. The guy told me my prescription would take 7 to 10 days. Its been 11 days and still my glasses are not ready. I strongly recommend that you dont go to these people. They lie about how long your glasses will take. Unfortunately, there isnt a rating low enough.
The manager Diane was by far the most Unattintive, rude, just trying to hurry you out or the store. Doesnt give any details on anything. Very vague. Pricing? Just the up charge no details. Nothing. Not Even a smile. Horrible customer service. They should be ashamed of themselves. Or just quit. .never will go back or recommend.
Nice building, good location, service is fair. The quality of service is nothing great. I can’t understand why you can go to any department store and purchase a $5.00 pair of glasses and they fit you comfortably, when you come here to purchase a $500.00 plus pair of glasses and they never can make fit comfortably. I was in recently for an adjustment and told the young lady all I needed was the nose piece tightened a little. I specifically told her that the bows were good and to please don’t try to adjust them. The bows were the first adjustment she made. I must say, I am not satisfied at all.
Not up to par. Very unorganized and unhelpful staff and Doctor. Nearly impossible to reach the store by phone. Staff insisted that I would receive a call when contacts were ready. Never received a phone call. Took time off work to drive to the store. Doctor and staff acted as if i was invisible when inquiring about my experience. Will be changing to a different optometrist for my next eye exam.
I was a little Leary when I looked at the reviews on whether I should go here...but was very impressed...the doctor was great...professional...the workers...were great...I had a great enjoyable visit....Tiffany was excellent...very attentive to all my needs.
Everybody was fantastic my mother was treated very well fast and efficient and friendly she went to another rival eyeglass place and was treated rudely and ignored and mafe to wait about an hour to be seen so from now on optical outlets will be where we both will be going thanks for the great service a special shout out to tiffani

😐 The McDonalds of the Optometry World :: This is a high-volume/low-quality outfit. Understaffed, inadequate parking, Oriental Trading Company level product, and the optometrist we just saw a) gave us a script inadequate for 21st century students who need to work with finely detailed user interfaces and other instrumentation, specimens, etc.; AND b) failed to do a glaucoma test on a minor patient when her just-written med history form indicated a family history of glaucoma, & we had explicitly asked his assistant to have the doc do the glaucoma test after anesthetic drops... By that point, Id pegged his services as useless and did not interfere with his incompetence and low/lack of medical standards. I took his card and we left, to seek out a professional optometrist worthy of their credentials, and with at least the basic ethics and discipline that their chosen profession demands. Now to call our insurance company and intercept that claim...Stay clear.
1/4 star!!!! Waited 2 hrs with an appointment. Son got his ok. But I have to take a day off get his prescription from them because he wants some off the internet. Ridiculous! I never got my contacts (after 4 exams) due to them not informing me about things! Horrible place. Wouldnt recommend it to anyone!!!!
I went today with my husband to do the year. Dr was late then exam it was very quick he didnt even put the eye drops for the dilate our pupils. Is our very first time that this happen to us I dont know why he did that honestly. Anthony Ferris was the Dr name
The eye doctor is good but the rest of the staff is slow and not very helpful. Last year they had to adjust my glasses 3 times with lens corrections and wasted so much of my time
I took my prescription in very easy fast service I got my glasses today I am not sure what everyone else is having issues with but I was pleased.

Awful customer service. Employees have no clue what goes on in this place. I was going to get new glasses there but will now go elsewhere.They made a mess out of husbands new glasses. Say one thing do another. Not a good look.
On 6/4/19 I walk into this place of business, there were two customers being help after they leave this place I am still sitting there while everyone on their phone. After I being ignored for sometime I walked out. I will never go back there bad customer service.
This place is so unorganized. I don’t know if it’s lack of staff, but it’s just ridiculous. You wait forever to get seen even with an appointment and now I’m here just to pick up and told it’s going to be awhile because they’re busy. Ok understand being busy but why don’t you have someone that only works the pickup counter as we have already waited hours beforehand to picking them up! Don’t have time to wait over hours just to pick up already paid for glasses!! Ugh... if that isn’t even enough to be aggravated I also had to have my daughters exam done elsewhere because she couldn’t even see with the prescription written for her. Our family won’t be back!
With so many choices to get glasses now a days, we highly recommend Eye Doctors Optical Outlets. My wife is very happy with the contacts and prescription she last received and I love my glasses and sunglasses that the associate helped me pick out. And I am not easy to please! For the best in optometry, it’s a no brainer. Optical outlets is our favorite place to go! Ken and Satsha!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! if I could give negative stars I would. Overpriced, completely incompetent, rude manager!!!! I paid approx $650. For an eye exam and one pair of glasses!!! My first appointment was March 10th.....Well today is April 10th and GUESS WHAT?I STILL HAVENT GOTTEN MY GLASSES!!!!Multiple complaints, I even called and left a message explaining the situation with a Carol (regional manager???) No return phone call.This company has made my very first eye exam and pair of glasses a complete nightmare! Save yourself the trouble and RUN!!!
