We bought two homes earlier this year and have been very impressed with the entire operation. Tarrance, the owner, came out a month before delivery to make sure the location would accommodate the homes. He came out immediately after delivery to make sure everything was installed correctly, to include bringing his own nail gun to do some touch-ups himself. He has followed up several times to make sure we are satisfied and the housewarming gift was a very personal touch! We purchased our home several months ago and the process was great. Austin and Sammy were transparent with pricing and nothing was hidden from us. We purchased an Energy Smart home and true to what they say, our electric bill is half what is use to be. We would highly recommend them..

Austin was a great salesman and got everything done quickly and Vanderbilt financing was great. Those are the only positives I have. The quality of the home is terrible, we have crooked walls and door jams, uneven ceiling and the list goes on. I BEGGED to have Austin or Tarrance come see the house because I was sure it wouldn’t meet their standards but unfortunately they weren’t able to or wouldn’t I’m not sure which but we are located 3 hours away so it’d take a lot of time and gas. Steven that was sent to make some repairs was great and did all he could to at least trick the eye so you couldn’t see some of the defects. The brand new septic tank that was put in smells terrible and someone is supposed to be here this week to try to fix that. The skirting was installed today and looks horrible. Seams dont meet up and are crooked, it just sits on top of uneven ground and could easily be dug under by an animal if they can’t go thru one of the many gaps and apparently an animal had been underneath but Austin was able to tell us how to take a piece down to get it out before it died under the house. The skirting goes up and down and in and out from the edge of the house. I am very disappointed. I also find it odd when I scroll thru reviews and see several five star reviews submitted from employees. I keep hoping it will get better but so far I don’t think it will. Everything we had has gone into this purchase and we will make the best of it but I honestly could not in good conscience recommend anyone to go thru the same experience. I hate to have anything negative to say about anyone but I just can’t sugar coat this one, I think there are very wonderful people that work for the company and I hope they are doing their best. Its not personal because I do like the people I’ve dealt with but I guess my standards or expectations are too high? I can’t give a higher rating in honesty.

Tarrance and staff were very responsive to our questions and kept us updated on the progress of our home during the construction phase and delivery phase. Mark is an exceptional driver positioning the home exactly where we want it. His team was focused on the home and setting everything up readying it for us. The modifications we wanted were complete from the factory and yes there were a couple of repair issued that Tarrance and his crew quickly resolved. Definitely would recommend Clayton Homes. Thanks

Salesman was very kind and easy going!We were interested in purchasing a home at a different dealership but they talked bad about them (RED FLAG) and how they could beat the prices for a foundation, septic, etc (Definitely as high as Titan(highest) or any other!!!) (LIE)We almost went through the process but some friends told us their horror story of the LIES of Clayton in Abilene. Great homes but literally once they get your money they are DONE with you.If you want honest and factual information I do not recommend Clayton in Abilene.Somebody else is getting our business!!

The most frustrating experience I have ever had. Two years now and my home is not complete. Terrance will sell you a home and then disappear without a trace. Do your home work on who you chose.

Ask for Austin (Jumper)! Not only did he walk us through the process, step by step, but he had the answer to EVERY question we had. He always answers the phone, returns text messages and kept us in the loop on everything from the financing process to the installation process. We had a problem with our hot water heater and I sent an email, at 6:30 at night, explaining the problem. He, personally, called about 30 minutes later and told us he knew a great plumber. About an hour later he sent me the plumber’s contact information and had already made an appointment for the next day for us. Not only did Austin get us into a great home that we love but he didn’t just write us off after the deal was done. I wish I could give him more than 5 stars.

The sales process was great and our sales man was super attentive.Once we got the home on site it was one issue after another and very difficult to get help. They got their money and were done with us. We were treated like an inconvenience for their mistakes. Two years later and we still have shoddy underpinning, leaking toilets, a door that won’t lock, a fridge and air conditioner that freeze up, a window that leaks and a door that leaks. Go somewhere else if you want good customer service past signing the loan documents.Yes we have contacted them numerous times and even called headquarters for help so there was appropriate effort on our part. They just didn’t want to deal with us.

Good quality homes and they tell you the price up front. I shopped a lot of places before I decided this was the place I was going to buy from. I got everything I wanted and more in my home! Also the staff was so friendly. Our salesman made us feel super comfortable and I would trust him to sell a home to any of my family and friends. So if you do go to Clayton Homes go talk to Austin! Super friendly honest fellow he will take good care of you!

I went and looked at homes and by far Clayton had some of the best Ive seen. They are beautiful inside and out and well constructed. They also had some of the best layouts and I loved that I could choose things to do to the house to personalize it for me. The service there was also great. Very knowledgeable and friendly people! I definitely will be recommending to my friends and family in the market for a new home!!

We had the worst experience with clayton homes of Abilene. Both our back doors poor water in when it rains.they have been out multiple times to fix the problem and have never gotten it fixed yet.we have bad places in our flooring that are not fixed yet either. I would never purchase from them again.

My wife and I took a road trip to go see some homes in Abilene, TX. I told my wife to search for the one with the best reviews. Surely enough it was Clayton homes.From the Minute we walked in to main office we were greeted by a gentleman named Josh. Josh was very courteous and understanding I told him I had the money to put down but I didnt have the credit score just yet. He understood our situation and didnt rush at all or push us to buy a home like some other places Ive been to here locally ( Titan Factory Homes ) . We didnt even go to his office to sign anything or talk more about numbers or check my credit (which I didnt want to)My wife and I made a decision on the home we wanted and we received pictures of it via text from Josh.We will DEFINATELY keep in touch and buy a home from Clayton Homes due to the Excellent service that was provided just to pick out our home.Thank You Josh !

We were treated so well by everyone we met. The homes were beautiful and not like regular mobile homes. These were built much better than the other dealers we saw in Abilene. Plus they were not pushy and took as much time as we needed.

We had the worst experience with Clayton Homes in Abilene. As soon as they had it on our property they were done and were unwilling to help us further. We repeatedly called for assistance and they were slow to even respond. Then when we found out that they demolished part of our property they offered only a small portion of what it would cost to replace/fix the damage. They fully admitted they did it but didnt care. Looks like the only way we are going to get even close to what it will cost to fix the damage done is a costly and lengthy court battle.Bottom line, poor customer service with no satisfaction guarentee.

I must brag on the guys from Clayton Homes. They took the time to answer all of my questions and didnt use high pressure tatics. My home was delivered as promised and they followed up with me to see if I need any service. I love my new home.

Sammy was so patient with me! I looked & couldn’t decide the one we wanted. Looking for the 5th Time we found what we wanted but needed the bathroom door widened for my handicapped mom. I hate to do it but, HORRIBLE!!!! I have NOT been in my house more than 7 months and it is just falling apart!!! I had to be away from my family for 9 months to make enough money to buy my family a home that we thought was grade an A quality home we were told that the kitchen cabinets were real wood when it is compressed fake wood, that will not even hole my silverware without the bottoms of the drawers falling through! There are knots all in the floor where they left things under the carpet and kitchen floor before they laid the carpet, tile work that is uneven and some without grout at all!!! windows leak, trim work that even a donkey couldnt make straight, drop can light fixtures that have a 1/2 inch gape to being flush. carpet that dont even reach the wall tile in that doesnt have grout . Go to hang TV mounts and no studs to put them in should I keep going or you should just call me Ive sent them email and no response so this is the only way that maybe I can get their attention! must I also say they have been here 3 previous times and is still messed up!

Snakes! They were so worried about my credit and did not let me tell them I was paying cash. These guys just want to put you in high interest financing, stay away! I have a friend who purchased from them and it was not a good experience. Horrible service if you have issues.

We drove for 2 hours for a lousy Im sorry. According to their website, they advertise modular homes. It happens to be a lie. They dont!! If there was a negstive # I would rate them at a -5. False advertising is bad customer service.
