My fiancé and I bought our weddings bands from Zales and the process couldn’t have been easier. Dana helped us out, and was beyond patient and extremely knowledgeable! Her sense of humor definitely eased some of the stress about making the big decision!
My experience was not a good one at all. The store was supposed to open at 9:30. But the manager Dana Crump was out. The rep that was there was unable to open due to only one employee. The second employee came in at her scheduled time at 11. So at 11:10 the store opened. I was trying to exchange a broken bracelet I received on Christmas. I was first in line due to being there so long. The rep went to see if they had another bracelet for an even exchange. Which would have been great. There was not an exact bracelet there so I looked for a similar item. I choose a very similar one. Same carat weight. But it was $400 more. I asked why and the rep could not tell me.So I was going to just return it. Now the system was down and could not refund the item. So the rep called Ms. Crump and she recommended leaving the bracelet and the will mail me a receipt. I was uncomfortable doing this due to all of the things that have happened at this point. The manager offered nothing for the inconvenience of the store opening so late or getting a broken bracelet. No sorry nothing.The rep recommended I contact corporate so I did. Now they are mailing a return label. Did not seem interested in the store opening so late.I spend 2 hours trying to just get myChristmas present right with no results. I still have a broken bracelet. I spent my time and gas thinking it was going to be simple. Just to be aggravated with the entire experience. Stay away!!! To top it all off there were others waiting experiencing the same situation.
The service is so inconsistent at this store, I have had to repeatedly send out the same piece for repair. When I call to inquire if the piece has come back in I am met with rude employees that are frustrated that I am calling to ask if its ready to be picked up. I call only after the date given to pick up has come and passed. Some of the associates are kind in person, others are rude over the phone. This store needs better management, and the employees need customer service training.

Sara the ASM was so helpful and sweet when she helped me on 11/29/19. The story was pretty busy but she was able to answer all questions I had I was in and out with no problems
My husband purchased three items from this store and I really liked two of the items but one pair of earrings didnt come with any backs and the other earrings didnt latch right and pinched my ears. He had lost the receipt but we thought the store would have their own records so we went to return the second pair of earrings. The sales lady was rude and seemed bothered that she had to get up to help us and wouldnt accept the return without the receipt. Hopefully we can find the receipt so we can return all three items and never shop at zales again!
Store will be closed until January 4, 2021 sorry for any inconvenience but the safety of our customers and team members are what is most important.
I walked into the store with the intention of purchasing a wedding band (exact ring already picked out), but because I came in with my female friend and not my husband, I was ignored. I guess I wasn’t seen as a money-making opportunity. A saleswoman was available when I walked into the store but I was not greeted or acknowledged, even though I had made eye contact with her. Two other couples walked in while I waited for assistance and they were happily greeted. I walked across the hall to Littman’s and was treated wonderfully.
I bought my fiancé’s anniversary gift years and years ago and had a good experience. I was recently shopping for an engagement ring and I bounced between a few places before I ended up here and found exactly what I wanted. The woman who assisted me was very kind and she answered all of my questions and gave me plenty of options.We had to go in to get the ring sent off to be sized and we spoke to another associate who was also very kind and helpful. When we went to pick it up the same associate immediately recognized us and also assisted us with some options for a wedding band. I frequently shop at plenty of places where the employees wouldn’t know me from a stack of paint cans and the fact that she knew who we were and what we needed is an example of top-tier customer service.Also: get the warranty. The peace-of-mind is worth every dollar.
Do NOT I REPEAT DO NOT!!!!! Purchase anything from this place. Definitely DONT use the credit card from them!!!! I wanted to get married and didn’t have cash for rings. so I applied for the card. I was given a 4000.00 limit. They sold me a ring for a 100.00 It was to be my everyday wear work ring. It was black with a blue carbon middle inlaid. My wedding band had diamonds. I didn’t want to mess my 1500.00wedding band up which being the reason I purchased the black band. So I go on eBay. And happen to find the same exact ring for ( black band w/blue inlaid)10.00. I purchased what I thought were nice rings(NOT) around 3600.00 total! Diamond fell out of my band within a couple months. Although they replaced it. I’m scared to wear it any place other then dinner at the most. I paid my bill for almost a year and a half. I admit I was late a day or 2 twice. I called in today 1-20-19 to make payment.The amount I owe is now 5246.20. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS PLACE!!!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED! Take it or leave it.

My husband and I were celebrating our 20th anniversary and thought we should commemorate our day by upgrading our rings. We traded our present rings for more expensive set of rings, and was told we will size and clean it. This process should take about a week or two. Two weeks had gone by no rings, so I called the store to find out the store lost our rings. I was devastated with the lack of responsibility the store shown. Then the salesperson repeatedly apologized stating not only were our rings lost, but there were others. I will NEVER do busy with this zales in Dover again. I suggest you all take this as a warning sign when you think about purchasing something of value.

Definitely buy the warranty with your jewelry it is so worth it to be able to get it cleaned and repolished and fixed. This particular Zales is the one that weve been using for years, most of the employees are super kind and helpful there is one particular lady that must be a manager of some sort because shes been around for a long time- she is really good at making you feel like an idiot and is especially prone to making contrary remarks to whatever you say. Generally speaking the service is really great, she would be the one exception to the rule though.
