Biggest disappointment & overpriced meal I have ever bought in my life. As you can clearly see there are two chicken bones and a container filled with rice. It is clearly obvious that meal sizing and customer satisfaction is not a high priority for the owners of this establishment. After further inspection of this local community business I noticed that following guidelines, regulations and laws pertaining to the sale of food and hygiene are also not a concern to the proprietors.ATTENTION Spices of India EppingWhen the health department come knocking on your door, please know that I sent them. And just because I’m a nice guy I’ll even give you a heads up to why?1) In Australia, selling food prepared in a home kitchen is always illegal unless the kitchen has been inspected and approved by your local council.2) You need to acquire a Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene for Catering certificate if you prepare and distribute the food yourself. Even if youre selling pre-packaged food from home. This certificate needs to be displayed in clear sight at all times.3) Ensure that the handles of serving utensils do not touch the food as bacteria can be passed from the customers hand to the utensil to the food.4) Use lids or covers on each food item where possible, and always use sneeze guards over the food area to prevent bacteria from sneezing or saliva reaching the food.5) Ideally all food items should be displayed in hot or cold displays outside of the Temperature Danger Zone (5°C to 60°C).6)For items being held in the hot or cold food zones, check the temperature every 2 hours with a cleaned and sanitized calibrated thermometer.7)Use labels to show how long food has been displayed for, and when the last temperature check was performed.8)If you must hold food at room temperature, be sure to discard of any food that’s been on display for 2 hours or longer.Note to owners:After reading only a small portion of regulations set out by the Department of Agriculture and the NSW food authority I hope you have realised that you are in violation of all of them.Hopefully you realise your efforts to make a quick buck has endangered the community that supports you. My hopes are that you are dealt with severely in order to teach you the lesson of “NOT TO BITE THE HAND THAT FEEDS YOU”.

Biryani !!!!The chicken biryani at this shop is one of the best I had in Sydney. No, it’s not the one that they have in boxes with date on it but instead the one that they sell fresh and is available in the afternoons of Thursday, Friday and Saturday. As a bonus point they fill it up to the top.Grocery items are so so and not that great and I do prefer the neighbouring Indian store for grocery and it’s just for the biryani that I keep coming back to this shop.

Ive always found that the ready made foods like samosa, dhokla are already off. Not recommended for the ready made meals.

Although the shop has good variety of Indian stuff, the arrangement is horrible. There is no item that has been kept matching its price tag on shelves. In fact majority items dont even have price tags in shelves. While scanning the owner/cashier wont find the item as probably its not catalogued, itemise it in generic category and will put a price as he wishes. Not sure if its a business tactic to price gouge or genuine laziness for proper categorising of items, but ultimately customers pay more. My bill was for $114 of which at least $10 was unjustified (if I compare price to other shops for similar items), meaning I paid 10% extra. Would avoid this shop in future

A very bad experience with the biriyani. I took a mutton biriyani box for dinner and when I heated up, it started to give a very bad smell. Rice was sticky. The best before date was given 3/7/21, and some didn’t have date on it. I’m sorry but you ruined my dinner. Thank you.

Literally after the guy handed me a bill, I said I dont want 1 particular item and the response that they dont accept returns...go figure this out!! Im never going back to this place

Have been there only once and the shopkeeper showed strong preference for cash payment and when I insisted on card payment, I was charged additional 20 cent for $3.99 item.

Just below average because sometime shop keeper does not know the actual price and charge any price that is too expensive. Few products are good. Not much cooperative as well.

Theyve got decent collection of vegetables/leafy veggies on sat/sun, however overall they managed to get basic stuff an Indian store needs, but limited brands. Plus the guy at the counter, busy on his mobile, never care if the customers get what they are looking for.

Very bad customer service. Went there today to buy a bottle of drink. As I entered the shop, a man was in the counter busy with his phone without even caring a customer in the shop. Couldn’t find the drink that I was looking for and went to the counter to ask if they have that particular drink. He asked me to keep quiet ‘shhhh’ as he was with his earphone engaged with his call. That was completely embarrassing. Learn some manners. Will not recommend anyone

Please avoid this shop. I went once, he added extra items that I didnt bought. He even didnt refund it rather told me to buy another items with that price. Also, one items I found was expired a year ago. It was ridiculous. Please dont go to this shop.

BEWARE everyone, Business do not keep 0.10 cents and 0.05 cents change and do not return the correct money with this excuse. This is my 04th experience in less than 6 weeks. It includes 3 people including his wife, Shop owner thinks you cannot buy anything with 0.10 cents or 0.05 cents, so he has the right to keep them. Lately i bought something of $15.95 and he asked me to pay him $16.00 which i did and ask for the receipt, thats when i caught him 4th time. ASK for the receipt and ensure you have got the right change. I will go to Fair Trading.
