Wendy and her staff were incredible, from the start of the dress purchase process, to finish. Attention to detail, fun, and professional are what immediately come to mind. I would highly recommend this store to any and every bride looking for an amazing experience and great dress selection!

I would not suggest doing alterations here at all. I brought one dress in that needed extensive alterations and was told $300. That dress fell through, so I got a more simple dress that only needed the hem and shoulders fixed and I was told it would be more than the more difficult dress. Didnt make sense, but I had to have my alterations done so I paid it. It took 5 appointments to do what was supposed to be simple alterations because it was not done right the first time. The first HUGE mistake after the first appointment, was that they sewed each side of the dress unevenly (notice gap in pics 2 & 3/4). One side, the front was sewn all the way to the back of the shoulder while the other side had an inch gap in between. How do you sew sides of a dress and NOT make sure that they are even??? Luckily, after I was the one to point this out, they did fix this issue. I ALSO told them NOT to take the dress in (side seams) at ALL because it fit my torso perfectly and they did anyway, making the dress too small. I kept telling them to fix it each fitting after that (took 3 appointments) and they did not listen to me and fix it until the 2nd to last appointment, which was 2 days before my wedding. I didnt trust them to finish it well, so I had to buy another dress the week before (got extremely lucky, $100 off the rack) and do MY OWN alterations. When I went to pick up the dress at final alterations at For the Bride, it had several threads hanging out and even a distinct place where I could see it wasnt fully sewn (photos 1 & 5). She told me I was wrong and it just needed to be ironed a little bit in that area and took it in the back. When she brought it back, it had been sewn up the way it should have been, which showed that I was right that it wasnt done. Extremely frustrating experience because the owner seems very nice and understanding, but then will argue with you and make you feel like you’re wrong. I ended up paying almost $350 for alterations on a $200 dress and ended up wearing my other dress that I paid $100 for and did my own alterations on, because I did a better job. This is NOT how wedding dress alterations should go and I wish I would have taken my dress somewhere else.

I could not recommend for the Bride, more! They made my dream dress come to life. There was “something missing” from THE dress that was causing me to be hesitant. The owner, Wendy, asked what it was, and I said I wanted a dress with a deeper V back. She immediately started showing me how we could make that happen, and brought in Miss Carol to confirm she could make the alteration. The finished product was beautiful, and just what I imagined. I have brought multiple bridesmaid dresses there for alterations, as well, and you cannot beat the price. I look forward to continuing to use For The Bride for years to come.

We absolutely love this place. This is the place to go for your wedding dress, mother dresses. Stacey was my daughter in law’s consultant.she calls herself the fairy godmother. Well she is one. She makes the bride and family feel very comfortable and welcoming. She was an absolute inspiration to my daughter in law. She lifted all her spirits and made her feel like a queen. She made her look so happy and beautiful that she said yes to the dress. She cries tears of joy with you. Stacey not only have you gained customers but a friend. We love you and don’t you ever change. You are motivational, charismatic, energetic and very kind hearted.

They had a variety of wedding gowns. I was searching in the discount rack and they still made me feel like I was a valuable customer. I found my dress and they gave it to me at a discount on top of the clearance. It was a steal! The alterations were not overly expensive and they helped make me into a beautiful bride for my wedding day! I would highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a wedding dress!

I am SO happy I ended up working with for the bride boutique! I got married on December 4th and I have never felt so beautiful than I did in my dress from For The Bride! The dress selection is absolutely unbelievable! The trains, the lace, the simplicity, the princess, everything! There is a dress here for everyones taste! Not only is their dress selection off the charts amazing, but the service was impeccable! The girls there are always ready to help with anything thrown their way. I wasnt very happy with one of my dress fittings (my dress was fitting weird to me) so the owner Wendy took on the task to help me and made sure I was the happiest bride ever! Go to every time for event dresses, more than just bridal. My high school girls found multiple dresses for homecomings and proms. I also found my wedding dress many years ago. A gem of a store with a wonderful owner that treats you like family. Highly recommend!!

I highly recommend this place for all bridal/special event needs! Wendy and her staff are completely hands on, easy to communicate with, will make sure that your dress is PERFECT, and everything I felt was very fairly priced. Loved For the Bride. My little sister bought a dress from them in 2018 so I decided to go to them when I needed a wedding dress. I went to 5 other places beforehand that were all meh. I am plus plus size 😉 and all the places I went to made me feel meh but Wendy was amazing. She made me feel so beautiful even though most of the sample dresses didnt fit. She said it doesnt matter we will order your size and I bought my dress on the spot. It just came in and I tried it on and it actually zipped and it made my mom cry. As a plus plus size woman I was so nervous it wouldnt fit but it did and it was amazing. Totally recommend!!!

Wow what an amazing experience I had with Wendy. I brought 9 girls in to her boutique and she was so sweet and welcoming to every single one. The dress selection she has is impeccable. Best experience ever! Had to find a flower girl dress for my 3 year old and looked everywhere but couldn’t find what I was looking for until I found For The Bride! They had a ton of beautiful options and the staff was so wonderful in helping us find the perfect dress which we did that same day and her size was ordered and sent to the shop in less than a week! The woman who did the alterations on my daughters dress was so kind and patient and completed the alterations so quickly and did an absolutely incredible job. My daughter was married March 31, 2017. She tried different stores to find that perfect dress. Wendy, owner of For the Bride, was always so encouraging and worked with us on styles and design to find what my daughter was looking for. For the Bride has a beautiful selection of gowns to choose from but what my daughter wanted was to wear my dress which I wore 33 years ago. Yikes!! I encouraged her to keep looking but she always came back to the one I wore. So alterations were necessary, she had the puffy sleeves removed and had it hemmed, she was absolutely gorgeous. Wendys staff did the alterations for us and even though we didnt buy a dress from her we did buy the veil and slip and now having the dress cleaned and preserved through For the Bride. Wendy knows her business and makes sure you are happy. Customer service is important to her. If youre looking for a wedding gown, mother of the bride or bridesmaid dresses, For the Bride has it and more.

We had a beach wedding in fort Meyers last week and were still scrambling at the end to find the perfect dress. Wendy at For the Bride was amazing and saved the day. We had been to many other shops without success. Wendy was so helpful, flexible, accommodating and knowledgeable. Although they are open for appointments only on Sundays, Wendy answered the phone and accommodated a last minute Sunday appointment. She had pulled seven dressed that she thought would be perfect for a beach wedding in the half hour between our phone call and arrival and her selections were all very affordable and beautiful. She was supportive, honest and yet not pushy in viewing each of the dresses I tried on. She listened to what I wanted and made the alterations happen in just over a day. Additionally, Wendy recommended an amazing florist who made me the most beautiful arrangements also in only a day. My overall experience was amazing. It is so wonderful to find someone who is so passionate and knowledgeable about what they do. Wendy truly saved our wedding day.

My daughter purchased her dress while living in Texas but needed a fitting after moving back to Naples. She took the dress to For The Bride on a friends recommendation and had a very good experience. The dress was fitted to perfection. Also, a bustle arrangement was designed for the train and it didnt interfere with the lines of the dress, which had been a concern of mine. My daughter received excellent advice and service and all work was done as promised and on time. The owner and staff members we worked with were all very gracious and helpful and we couldnt be happier.

Had such an amazing time here! I didnt find THE dress but the associate was so helpful and understanding! She helped me figure out the exact TYPE of dress I loved! My only down side was I just didnt have the budget for the dress that I thought might be the dress. Other then that GREAT Place!

Ive been meaning to write a review since the beginging of September when I had homecoming. I got my dress from for the bride boutique for homecoming and had a wonderful experience there. Not only did my dress fit amazing the employees were extremely helpful. Working 2 jobs my self, I almost never see my bosses(the owners). I got married this past weekend and my dress was purchased from For The Bride. When I purchased my dress, veil and hairpiece this past August, I did not realize the seven layers of my gown would require so much work and dedication. Wendy, the owner was present at all three of my dress fittings, sitting on the floor and pinning each layer of my gorgeous gown. I could tell that Wendy truly does care about each bride that comes in to her shop. She wanted the best experience for me as a bride. She was nothing but helpful to my mom as well as my mother in law and matron of honor. One week before my wedding was my final fitting and Wendy listened to each and every one of my critiques as I had as I tried on my dress. Needless to say, my dress fit perfectly and all NINE of my bustles were pinned. I had the most amazing wedding day and I am so glad I had the perfect dress to compliment the day. Wendy has made my dreams come true finding a dress here. Wendys staff was so kind and helpful. Wendy and her staff treated us like family. She went out of her way to make sure myself, the moms, and my girls were set. My matron of honor wasnt in town till Thursday and my wedding was Saturday. Had a good experience when we went in but I felt as soon as I bought the dress they were done working with me. Especially when it came to alterations. I went in for alterations three times and I felt like the seamstress was annoyed with me every time. It added stress to a brides big day. With a lot of convincing to alter it the way I wanted, my dress turned out nice. I just wish it was a better experience being in such a big customer service industry.

EXCELLENT!!! Love For The Bride. Everyone, including Kaylee and Wendy have been so helpful and sweet. I tell everyone I know to go there for bridal wear. I bought my dress at a trunk show and had the best time. Kaylee was very sweet and made the expierence very nice, being a bigger bride, I was terrified that not a single dress would fit, but they not only had dresses in my size, but the dress I fell in love at the fashion show in my size. We recently got our bridesmaids dresses from there as well, and the girls were so helpful and had great input for what we were looking for. We also got my moms dress there recently and Wendy was so helpful and attentive it was really great for both my mom and I!

Rude, undereducated, unethical owner. Seamstress has no clue what she is doing. You never get to see her bad reviews because Wendy the owner disputes them. She is the most disgusting business owner I have ever dealt with. The fact that she can treat brides, their mother s and bridesmaids the way she does is completely unacceptable. I have my full experience in a word document that I can easily send any bride, if they are unsure of using this business. Unfortunately it is to long to be posted on this website. Trust me, there are many more businesses out there that are willing to help you instead of leaving you high and dry. Please do not go through the torture I went through with this bridal shop. No bride should be subject to this kind of treatment and while standing there in their bridal gown.

I would highly suggest this small bridal boutique to anyone, I had a great experience working with the owner Wendy and Alisha. Upon entering the store I had envisioned me wearing a lace dress and nothing else. Although, after trying about 10 lace gowns on and nothing looking right I tried on what Alisha and Wendy had picked out for my body type and it was perfect. I went to another bridal store and tried a few things on but nothing compares to the service you recieve at this store. I ended up buying my gown that day on the second trip to the store! Heading back soon to look at the bridesmaids dresses!

We went there to try wedding dresses on. The associate or clerk that was working, Kaylee, was extremely rude to everyone in our party. Our opinions did not matter nor did we. She was quick to shoot down every question or idea we had. When asked to stay within a certain budget she continued to pull more expensive gowns to pressure us into spending more. When we reminded her of the budget, she simply scoffed that a few hundred dollars more shouldnt matter. I highly recommend going else where. Not what a wedding dress shop should be. They definitely judge their customers when the ones being judged should be them. They are tactless and have no class.

There just isnt another bridal shop that compares to this one. Wendy is a pleasure and really cares about her brides. She takes her time to make sure things are done the right way and her selection of dresses is amazing for lack of a better word. My wife got her dress there and had nothing but problems, one of the employees was extremely rude towards her and told her that she had to wait. Absolutely THE BEST BRIDAL in all of SWFL. As they say, happy wife, happy life Im so incredibly happy and satisfied with my wifes experience! The wedding WAS PERFECT, and right in the center of attention was my BEAUTIFUL BRIDE looking STUNNING in her gown from FTB Boutique!

Called 2 weeks in advance to set up an appointment with Wendy since she came highly recommended by another satified bride. We arrived early since we were coming from out of town. We did acknowledge we were early and were very happy to look around while Wendy finished up with her current bride. The lovely Rosie did say that Wendy would be with us as soon as she finished. She also stated for us to pick out some gowns and that Wendy would assist us in narrowing down options and help us find the perfect dress. By this time our appointment had started 20 minutes after our scheduled time and still no sign of Wendy who had already finished with her previous bride. Rosie by the way was phenomenal but not the one we set up our appointment for. After trying on a couple gowns there still was no sign of Wendy. At one point my daughter fell off the pedestal and finally Wendy shows up while talking on the phone and says you gave me a fright never asking how the bride was, or if she was injured. Still Wendy, never acknowledged us as her prospective customers and never came out for her appointment. By this time after being pawned off to Rosie, appointment starting late, Wendy bailing on us, we decided to call it a day and foregt all about our disappointing experience at For the Bride becuase they are clearly not For the Bride. We would have loved to shop local and support a local shop for my daughters wedding dress but it clearly was not meant to be. I do hope that other brides have a more pleasant experience at this place of business.

I had an appointment today and was so excited to go. However, the woman who greeted us was extremely rude and uninviting. She offered no guidance or direction. We walked out without trying anything on and I will not be returning.

My daughter bought a wedding gown at this boutique a few months ago. The experience was disapointing due to the lack of care put into the alterations the gown needed. All i can say is that if you buy your dress from there you have to make sure they do what they promise and you have to make sure they do it professionally. An example of our experience : the thread they used to do the alteration of the shoulders was WHITE, while the fabric mesh was beige (nude)color. And this was on Top of the shoulder on each side you could see the white thread from 5 feet away! I could not believe the seamstress didnt care to make sure she did a pro job. Iam still in shock and thats only one issue, we had a few....we got a partial money back and went to a professional Seamstress. Another thing worth mentioning, the owner has a smartmouth when things dont go her way....conclusion for me, they are rude. Update, january 10: My daughter went there today to request a total refund due to the fact that we went to a real professional samstress and she has to redo the hem, it was crooked, shorter in the front of the gown, she also has to redo the bodice on the sides, because at this boutique they only did one side of the bodice so when she put it on, the gown looked crooked on her bustline. You are suppose to take it in both sides. At this boutique the seamstress took the easy way out . I guess she didnt feel like doing it the hard ( right)way, maybe too much work, maybe she was in a hurry.... I dont know, the results were horrible looking bodice that looked crooked. The owner, Wendy, she screamed at my daughter a the store and said that she would not refund any money after reading the review I left her. WHen I heard over the phone how she was screaming at my daughter, I was so upset.... The owner is lucky I live over three hours away...

This is the place to go for a wedding dress in Fort Myers. Forget the retail bridal stores, their customer service is no where near what you will get here.After accompanying my friend to a common retail chain for her dress I knew I needed something different. They were so pushy and its hard to feel like its your day when there are 3 or 4 other brides sharing the same platform. I ran into the owner of For the Bride Boutique at a bridal show and you could immediately see the difference in her dresses. They are unlike any other dresses in the area and she guarantees that no other chains will carry her dresses. You dont have to worry about seeing your dress on facebook before you even get to wear it on your day.I made a Saturday appointment realizing that it would be likely I would be sharing the spotlight with at least one other bride since Saturday is usually the most convenient day for people. I was wrong! I was at my appointment from 12-3:30 and had the owners full, undivided attention the entire time.In addition, there was no limit on the number of dresses I got to try. I didnt have to hurry and I was not pressured to choose anything. In fact, she even brought me dresses to try on that I didnt have any interest in just to make sure I was 100% certain that nothing would top the dress I finally decided on. She was so thorough in making sure that I found the best dress for me and my body type. We analyzed every detail you could imagine in order to find a complete picture of exactly what I wanted.I am now waiting on my dress to come in and I am 100% certain that the alterations part of the process will be just as thorough as the selection part.She also carries bridesmaids and because her customer service was so great we decided to get the bridesmaids dresses from here as well.You can tell that the owner is passionate and knowledgeable about her work and truly feels that, in order to make her business successful, she must make sure every bride looks amazing and is satisfied. If you want the complete bridal experience, this is where you need to go.

I bought my wedding dress back in October and it was a great experience . I came all the way from California and am glad I made the trip ! These people are so disorganized. Weddings are stressful enough...I had the most terrible experience here. When I went in for my fitting, the seamstress scarred me with pin needles. They didn’t even have slips to offer.Find another seamstress.
