Employees of all levels are always really helpful and nice, despite this location serving rough neighborhoods. BEST chance to find bottled water before a Hurricane, long after Walmarts shelves are empty. Low prices really stretch my limited budget for meats, canned veggies, and staples like pasta, rice, and potatoes (fresh or boxed instant). Not great prices or selection on cereal, though.

Great store to shop with nice staff. It was not that clean and organized few years ago thats why I quit going there. Started going back a little over a month ago and was impressed by the big change! Also, they used to have a very unprofessional female security guard at the door who was fired later on who likely turned the place into a jail house, a prosecuting center and thats why I quit going there so do others!!! Sav A Lot is a groceries store where you can save at least 10% to 15% on your weekly or monthly shopping. If you dont mind other than name brands you can save money. Just about all your staples are hear and a few of the treats . The ethnic foods are well stocked and the meats and happy as well. Not every cut is available and some are prepared a little thinner than the other grocery stores. All in all I like it, the people are friendly and its local for me. One other point, they dont bag or provide free plastic, but you can box up after checkout or purchase bags for 10¢ each ( good bags). Similar to Alfred or Sams. Try it for a small order and see.

Great location with much inventory and good prices. My only complaint is that they will lie to you and tell you the bathroom is out of order. A friend works there thats how I know this. And allow people to hang out out front asking for money

I still write checks, as they help me manage my cash. It used to be a struggle to find a cashier who could get them to work and have a machine that would take them. I now go in less frequently because of this. I will try (and try) again, but its disappointing when it doesnt work and I dont like to hold up the line.

Good selection and stock. Got what I needed and a few extras for a good price. Name brands are limited, but Ive tried the off brands which are good quality. Friendly cashier.

Decent produce and meats. Canned goods mostly off brand and dont keep stocked well. Weird stock selection and definately a discount store not top notch. Cashiers not friendly, never a thank you.

Keep an eye of what you buy there. Milk expired Almost two weeks and a half. Milks date 02/07/2021. Todays date 02/22/21.

Usually good prices. Good quality fruits and veggies. They even have a good selection of fresh meat.

Very sketchy place, some of the prices were good but I dont like feeling like my safety is at risk, the customers there start shouting at the employees for no reason and they didnt have a enough items at that much less of a price for me to go here instead of target or publix. I will not be returning here ever again.

Mostly good staff, the meat selection is sliced Way Too Thin hard to find New York strip a lot of the time and it seems every time I buy potatoes there theres one or two that are run in the bag at least otherwise a lot of great deals help you save a lot of money on food

Nicely laid out for the room they had. But it was clean & always busy. Nice produce dept & a beautiful meat dept which was almost the length of the back wall.

I dont know of anywhere that you could go to get quality food at a better price, whether it be name brand or generic. I always spend more there but I get a hell of a lot more there. It is the place to go the stock up on canned goods and the stock your freezer and refrigerator whether food or drinks.

Terrible experience, Rude cashier and SLOW, thats why they call it SAVEA LOT because you waste more time in line waiting to check out than you do in the aisles shopping. I wouldnt reccomend this particular store to my worst neighbor!

The cashiers here are awesome and deserve a raise, speeding through the high customer traffic at this location. The prices are good, even better considering you dont have to drive all the way to the Walmart.

Prices are too high for this chain to be my go-to for much of anything. I will stick will Walmart as Walmart has the best prices overall. Not to mention, you can get so much more than food at Walmart.

I do like this place but there are some downsides to it. For example, they dont have many name brand items, which is ok but they dont taste very good. Specifically the Mac and cheese. It was pretty bad. It was a great price but tasted bad. There is also a security guard, which is nice but you know hes there for a reason. Lastly, sometimes the lines are long, but this can be expected with any grocery store. One more thing, to keep the prices down they dont have bags, you box your stuff. Which Im glad about because it saves the environment from all the plastic that could be thrown away.

I really hate to have to write this review bcuz we love the employees there and it is a nice store. But lately the meat hasnt been very good. I was there in Sunday 7-7-19 and bought chicken. I put it into freezer bags when I got home n froze it. I just now thawed a bag n opened it n it was the most foul smelling chicken I ever smelled. It was spoiled. I am so disappointed. I really didnt wanna write this. I took pics that day of some of the beef that was clearly spoiled n shoulf have known better then to buy the chicken.

Save-A-lot here in Fort Myers has really good prices on canned veggies, fruit and other goods. If youre not hung up on buying name brands, its the place to buy your groceries and save money.

Fresh produce isnt the greatest, but prices are good. Sales are good and worth the trip. Neighborhood is a little rough.

Nice clean store and the help there is good.

Cheap place for groceries but the produce section detoriated a bit, not as much variety and the quality is OK but the prices increased so much you can actually find better veggies and fruits at a better quality for the same price at other grocery stores and supermarkets. Also, the parking lot smells terrible, I know its not the stores fault but it really smells bad, especially when its hot and humid. Sometimes, I make a U-turn and dont shop because the stench of foul garbage, workers chainsmoking right in front of the entrance, the fumes and exhaust of rusty, old cars and the chemical vapors from the laundry nearby simply make me sick. I also dont go with friends from out of town there because they always ask me how on earth youre not ashamed to set foot on this parking lot worse than any ghetto on earth. OK, what I want to say is that the store is alright, just use a gas mask and dont get bothered by the filthy surroundings outside.

(Technically I give three and a half)There are pros and cons about Save A Lot First sometimes Floors are cracked so you might fall over the cracked tile. Second the prices are very high for (example: batteries or little toys like water guns are $8 bucks each) but, for food its $3-$4 for a steak. Speaking of meat at the freezer section theres this weird smell of meat so, if you going to a party after you went to the store you going to smell like dead cow with flys going around you. So if you came here for the population part well here it is, I would say on some days its theres a 8 people per line on most days theres 1 or 2. Thanks for reading my post and thats my opinion

I shop here quite often but the last couple times that i bought the ground beef my family and i ended up with major stomach issues. I called to notify then and the only response i got was thank you sir. Nothing was said about looking into it. The response was very disingenuous. I think i will drive the extra 7 miles and go to Publix..
