This is the best and safest eye clinic i have been to. They are so nice and welcoming. Customer service is great. Dr John is so helpful and listens attentively to everything and even helps out in picking out the right frames. I feel comfortable here. Would recommend this clinic to everyone.

This is one of the best eye care facilities I’ve visited in recent times. since my first visit there, I’ve been back there several times. Customer service is apt and and the eye specialist (Dr. John) is just the best. They respect appointment times and wait time is never over 5 mins. The ultra modern eye equipment at this facility blows my mind. The clinic has some of the best frames there are in the market and wait time for glasses is hardly over 10 business days. I’m definitely going back there anytime I’ll need eye care services. I recommend this place to anyone needing eye care services. I wish I could give it a 10 star rating; unfortunately I am only allowed a 5 star rating.

I have been a customer of Galveston Eye Care since 2004. I have also taken my two boys here. But today will be my last time coming here. The young lady they have answering the phones doesnt know her information I called twice and both times she informed me that an eye exam for contacts was $75. I go in do my eye exam and order a box per eye to find out I am being charged $150 for the exam, and I am told the $75 is for glasses and i stated I told her contacts twice. Then Im told well you have been here plenty of times to know. Not a good way to do business and if you know I have been a good customer why not honor the amount I was qouted? Need to train people better probably why theres such an high turn over rate with employees. Wal-Mart does exam for both glasses and contacts for $120.

Very friendly and professional staff.. They go out of their way to be helpful. The Dr. is very professional and patient and takes his time at engaging with you as he goes through consultation and examination.. Highly recommended

I have a pretty unusual vision issue (lazy eye in one eye, good near vision in my good eye, need intermediate vision because I work on a computer all day, need both contacts and glasses). i recently moved into the area and needed a new optomotrist.Dr. Ngala was attentive and creative in finding a solution;that worked for me which was better than what I have had over the past 30 years.I can see. Close. Far. I can see. Give him a chance!Truly excellent work.

If I could give a 0 I would. The worst eye care facility in Galveston. The doctor is extremely rude, puts little to no effort into his exams. The girls in the front gave me misleading information pertaining to my visit. The doctor did not try to come up with a solution to misleading information that his workers gave me but instead almost ripped my contacts out of my eyes that I already used to keep them.

The staff is very cordial and respectful. The doctor is very knowledgeable and professional. He takes the time to explain your condition and give you options to help with decision making. My wife and two kids have been clients for 10 years. This is a family friendly clinic.

Only place in town that would do a same day appointment when my sons girlfriend tore her contact lens and needed a new one. Seemed like a no frills office, but the Dr was very nice and staff was friendly. Got what we needed.

Galveston Eye Care is a great place for examinations and have a great selection for eyewear. The reception, processing, and testing with Ms. Claudia and Ms. Samantha was efficient, kind, patient, professional, and understanding. Dr. Ngalas evaluation and diagnosis was efficient, kind, patient, professional, sincere, and understanding as well. Dr. Ngala and his staff showed me the same sincerity during my follow-up visit for my eyewear fitting! Thank you everyone for a great experience. See you next time!

The selection of frames are worse than Walmart. The staff is unprofessional. There was a 12-14 business day wait for the glasses, which was fine. I never heard from anyone after the 14 days so I called them. It turns out there was an insurance issue and the glasses were NEVER ordered. Instead of calling me to let me know, I found out when I called them. The glasses are for my 9 year old son who needs them for school. So now we have to go back, pick a different frame and wait the 12-14 business days AGAIN, hopefully.Their communication skills SUCK!Very unhappy.Please consider some place else for you eye glasses!

I was not impressed by the quality of service. The staff was extremely unprofessional throughout my entire experience. They lacked any kind of professional customer service you would expect. I was new to the clinic and when I was asked to go into a room to wait they just pointed down the hallway and said wait there. I had to remind them to sanitize the equipment before my examination. They did not explain what they were doing when examining my eyes. I was taken a back when I had puffs of air shot into my eye without any warning. And communication on the phone was horrible from setting up my appointment to asking questions about changing my prescription. It was not until I was able to talk to the doctor did I get the help I needed. The staff here needs to attend a course on customer service for their patients.

Seemed unprofessional, I needed my prescription rechecked the day after my exam for contacts, because my vision was blurry in one eye with the new contacts and new prescription, they couldnt help me. Wanted me to make another appointment for next week. So I cancelled my order of contacts, because it does me no good if I cant wear them and now I have to spend money out of pocket, because my insurance wont pay for another exam in the same year. What ever happened to customer service? Especially when it comes to someones vision......Do yourselves a favor and find another eyecare facility thatll actually help you....

I have been going to Dr. Koyob Ngala, Doctor o Optometry, for a long time. He and his staff have taken care of me. I recently had to have cataracts removed from both of my eyes. He referred me to Dr. Milstein. After all procedures were completed I returned back to Dr. Ngala for the follow ups. I was very pleased with the results.I would certainly recommend the Galveston Eye Care to anyone who may be looking for an eye doctor.Thank you Dr. Ngala for your excellent service.

EXTREMELY and unnecessarily rude. I would never refer this place to anyone. They made me feel stupid and unwelcome. Just because they know all the answers does not give them the right to be condescending. AWFUL!!

Do not go here. They would not give me a written RX for contacts or glasses and would not quote my contacts unless I was Paying now. Also they charge $50 extra for services other doctors include, contacts exam was $109, but not worth the price if they will not do good business.
