Wow! I thought I knew what the best donuts tasted like. North Hill donuts truly deserves the recognition of being the best donuts youll ever have. Im new to Ohio and the Akron area and honestly, this is the best thing Ive eaten (not just sweets, but everything) since relocating here. The owner was truly a delight and sweet as could be. I hope soon patrons will be able to dine in so I can have a proper conversation with the man.

Love the donuts here and the owner is the most wonderful man!! He is full of life, knowledge, humor and good advice. I see him twice a year usually and always on New Years Day morning 1st thing when he opens.

Great donuts! Fresh made, so not like the dry donuts you get at Giant Eagle and Dunkin. They cost a little more, but youre supporting a local business and its so worth having a great, fresh, delicious real donut. The coconut is probably my favorite- so freaking delicious!

Amazing. Such a sweet, genuine owner, what a nice guy. The creme sticks are unbelievably good and have a slight buttery creme taste which makes them amazing! The donuts here are always so soft and fresh its unreal how much better they are here than anywhere else. I tell everyone I can to stop here and support North Hill Donuts. Stopped by for the first time Sunday morning since I had cash and Ive heard good things.The gentleman was so nice & when I told him how much money I had, he told me how many donuts I could pick.I ended up eating 3 of the varieties (the rest were unfortunately shared lol).The blueberry cake was AMAZING!!!! I also had the double fudge and a powdered Kreme stick which were just as delicious.Definitely a little gem with far, FAR superior donuts to the standard Krispy Kreme or Dunkin!

Mid-century digs hint that North Hill has been around for a while. Its clear why - the donuts are fresh and delicious. Cream filled was recommended and I tried coconut on a whim. Staff very welcoming. Ill go back for sure.

My husband bought some for me this morning and ohmygod, the best doughnuts (havent tried alllll of them...yet) I have Ever had: the pastry for the chocolate filled and Bavarian creme, light as angels wings, melts in your mouth (very nearly). Getting pastry to hold up and behave like that after taking a hot bath in a fryalator is a beautiful thing. Cant wait to try the other flavors my husband got: lemon filled, strawberry glazed, maple glazed, etc

Their cream sticks are better than Dunkin donuts...

Freshly made donuts with love. Seriously the best donuts I’ve had in a long time. All my coworkers loved them as well. I called on my way to work one morning and this wonderful gentleman took such great care of me and he had my order ready and waiting for me. They also are home of a “huge donut.” It’s a lovely little place with great donuts and the most wonderful staff. Stop in and taste the difference.

I absolutely love these donuts! The workers are also super amazing! My family was craving donuts for the first time in a while but we have been very hesitant on where we go because of covid-19. Unfortunately, while the worker was picking out our donuts, I noticed they weren’t wearing their mask properly. After a long discussion, we decided to throw away about $15 worth of donuts. Again, I love this place! But for those who are being careful about the virus, you might want to come back after the pandemic is over.

I’ve been meaning to stop in here since moving in the neighborhood months ago, a work friend had suggested. Finally got the chance to and mad at myself for not doing it sooner! Fresh donuts, lots of options, and great service!! One of the best blueberry donuts I’ve ever had. The owner was so kind. He was excited for me to try their blueberry donut as I told him it’s my favorite kind of donut, he even warmed it up for me to eat on my way to work! Will definitely be back !!

The worst donuts ever! So disappointing. If you love stale baked goods this is the bakery for you. I was misled by the great reviews. I will not be returning. Not worth the $15.99 a dozen.

Great donut shop like you would find 20 years ago. Classic flavors and selection you would expect. Great krulers. Down side is it is cash only, so be aware. High rating simply because places like these are dying out to the chains. If your looking for a large selection, consistent products and good flavor - shop this local business.

Great donut shop that alot more people should visit more often. A small business that is very much under rated. Only downfall or CON is its a CASH ONLY business since we are living in a world of google pay/apple pay or debit/credit card so often we dont carry cash on us. They do have an atm machine onsite. Their prices are very fair. Great FRESH cinnamon rolls and other types of donuts. They also offer a GIANT DONUTS (pre order required) for like birthdays or anniversarys or even a Friday at the office. Great and friendly staff there. Good location if you are on the Northside of Akron and looking for a sweet treat to satisfy that craving. I give this business a 9/10.

I drive 1 hour, from Wooster Ohio, to buy donuts from this great shop! The owner is passionate about what he does and it shows in the great looking and even better tasting donuts!! I will be there on 12/24 at 4:30am to get several dozen donuts for my coworkers, this Christmas!!!

My first review was about the pricey food. I didnt notice they are handmade, not factory made. Theyre delicious and worth every penny. Forget Dunkin. This is a must try place.

I often stop here to get donuts for my coworkers and they absolutely love them. The donuts are large and delicious. Every time I go the people are extremely nice and very personable. Often I walk in and there are people sitting at the counter drinking coffee and just talking to each other. There arent many places like that where you walk in and youre greeted by name and feel welcomed. I always reccomend this donut shop to large chain stores.

Excellent donuts, fantastic coffee, and owned and operated by one of the nicest people Ive ever met and a friend of the family for decades. Louie runs a great shop here and has some awesome employees today and over the years. It used to be good when it was a Dunkin Donuts franchise, but is even better now as North Hill Donuts because theres more liberty to do right by the customer and make it a greater experience every time. Thanks Louie! You and your crew are fantastic as always.

Sorry for such a late review but better late than no review at all lol. My family and I are new to the area, we recently moved here from Lorain County. One morning last month the kiddos wanted donuts for breakfast so I googled a location for Dunkin Donuts near us. So we got ready to head out to the closest Dunkin around. Well on our way I happened to glance over and seen North Hill Donuts so I told my husband lets check it out before we go to Dunkin. Omg it was the best decision Ive made since we moved here lol such a huge variety to choose from and if u want a fresh donut this is the best place to go to in town. Not just the variety but the service we got from the very nice lady working that morning was wonderful. So we paid for a couple dozen and as we were leaving I asked the sweet kind lady what here name was so I could give a review lol come to find out she wasnt just a regular employee she was the owner. Now this is how u get returning customers and 5 star reviews and they are very well deserved. If ur in the area stop in try the donuts u will not be disappointed. Make sure u have cash on u if not no worries they have an atm in side. Thank u North Hill Donuts we will be returning soon. Very nice gentleman waited on me at 8 pm and told me of the 3 freshest hot donuts that had just come out! I chose the crueller and peanut donut and oh my goodness - they were THE BEST donuts Ive tasted! So glad I decided to turn around and head back in when I first drove past it. Im not from the area so I love trying the local eats as opposed to the chains!

Mom & pop atmosphere 👍1st visitEverything was fresh and she said made there daily. They make a giant donut for like gatherings which I do plan on trying one day after she described it haha. We just picked a mixed dozen for today.. definitely satisfied! Pleasant, patient service with us and she even took time to explain some of the menu items in detail without us asking. Honestly it was a breath of fresh air compared to the other donut shops in the area. Tim Hortons is hit or miss, what even happened to Dunkin?, and Krispy Kreme is always super slammed. She won our business!

The donuts have a strong variety, and some unusual options. 12.99 for a dozen is pretty good when you consider how great they taste. Its a cash only business, but theres an ATM in the store.The experience and service was fun since you can sit at a long counter and order that way. They also offer a 14x14 donut cake.

Great donuts fresh and soft. First time there. Cream sticks are amazing. They even have jelly filled sticks. Will make it my new place to go since my old one closed awhile ago. Dont like chain donuts because it is like eating a cardboard box. Friendly staffing there also.

Their old fashioned donut has just the right crunch and perfect flavor,. Also when having ladies over and dont want to serve large portions of cake they have a giant donut which you can decorate just about any way you want it is perfect perfect perfect awesome 🤩🤩🤩🤩 cut into small slices and you can serve up to 20 people

I have been going here since it opened as a dunken doughnuts with louie and all the way to now with louie.only thing is he closes way to early now.but if i was making doughnuts that long i might want to get out early too
