These have to be some of the nicest people working here in Albany! The service was fast and extremely friendly. The Salted Carmel scoop was very refreshing on a hot day. I only got a single scoop which was plenty for me. Make sure to bring some wet wipes because it will drip on a hot day.

I never took a picture because the hot dog was so great that it was gone in 30 seconds! The owner of the establishment was super friendly and even offered help for my business. All around great experience and I cant wait to bring my kids by for some ice cream

We took our 3 boys (under 3) here and the guy was VERY nice! He was patient with our boys choosing what they wanted and the whole experience was our favorite part of visiting downtown Albany!!! We will be back for sure.. JUST to visit Cool Scoops!

Great location. Down the street from a gorgeous hotel - part of Ray Charles Plaza, the Veterans Amphitheatre, the Flint River Park and Walkway, the Aquarium and other restaurants in an historic downtown Albany. Albany kept their (originally well-built) historic buildings in tact and recently renovated them and are occupied by great local businesses. The man who served us - pretty sure hes the owner - is classy and friendly. This place is not just charming and locally owned, their ice cream is made locally up the street in Thomasville, GA.

I enjoyed my service. My cousin and I had a great time with the kind gentleman Mr.E. The loaded hotdog was delicious 😋 and the ice cream variety was awesome! Thank You so much 💗

Cool Scoop is a nice quiet place to enjoy dessert and lunch. My son and I order an orange sherbet and butter pecan. It was good. We was served with a smile and a Sample for the little one. We promise to come back for a treat.

We really like going here. The owner is nice. I really hope he doesnt go up on prices anytime soon. Could keep the restrooms a little better but over all a nice place to cool off and get a treat.

We went into Cool Scoops today and it was a great experince. The guy at the counter was very polite and told us to make ourselves at home. Change the channel on TV, order after we eat and are ready to leave, ect. The ice cream was great and I also got a soft pretzel with cheese, it was made fresh and brought out hot!! I will for sure be going again!

Pretty similar to 2 Scoops and a dog and Blue moon. It was an ok visit.

My daughter and I came by today (a Monday). On Google it states that they open at 11am which is incorrect due to the fact that they were closed. There was also not a sign posted to let patrons know the hours of operation

So, I’m usually not one to post these, but this is ridiculous.. my aunt Dawn and I went to Cool Scoops after being in the hot sun for an hour or so at the park. My Aunt Dawn has a little service dog, Faithe. Sweetest, smallest thing that is super trained. We walked in and the automatic response is the owner telling us “no no no, no dogs in here.” She responded calmly, “oh, she is a servic dog.” Then he continues to say no dogs allowed, she repeated but she is a service dog. Then he asks for proof, so she shows it to him then says “you know I can deny you service because of your attitude.” She wasn’t giving him attitude until he gave her attitude, which is justified due to him not letting us get my daughter ice cream. So we walked out frustrated, Fay gets sad and confused on why we are leaving. So I go back in with her without Dawn and Faithe. As soon as I come in he yells “I’m done arguing!” I said well I’m not here to argue, I am here to get my overheated daughter an ice cream. Then he continues to try to argue to get me to get an attitude so he can tell me he can deny me service. Which he did when I called him and a**hat, which I admit I shouldn’t have but he was antagonizing me. I left before I let him get to me more. Then we went to Freeze on Westover to get ice cream.Never going there again.

Online it said that this place was open until 6pm, I went to this location at 2:45pm on a day that they say they’ll be open and the location was closed.

I am very dissatisfied. I was charged $6.95 for a receipt of my purchase. When I tried to call and inform the manager on what occurred, I could not get anyone to pick up the telephone.
