The donuts were really good! We got cinnamon sugar, maple and a salted butter. They were really good. The outside was crispy, and the inside was soft. My partner got a coffee and said it was good. The staff was very friendly. The woman who was our cashier was sweet, knowable and helpful. The donuts and coffee were a little expensive. We got 6 donuts and a small coffee and it was $20 before tip. When we went the selection was very minimal but we also went around 12:30 so it was to be expected and our fault. All in all I really enjoyed this cute spot.
Let me start off by stating this: I have never left a review for doughnuts. . . Until NOW. A total diamond in the rough! I left there spending more than expected, but I wanted to treat my sons academy staff, which a dozen of these delicacies did the trick. I couldnt resist getting me a Cinnamon Roll and him a chocolate sprinkle doughnut. I left his academy 5 minutes ago and had to post this before starting my day at work. I have had ONE bite of my fresh Cinnamon Roll (pictured)..... WOW! I thought Great Harvest was the best in town... NOT A CHANCE!!! They have the cinnabon frosting taste, and the flaky yeast texture that grandma used to make for special occasions... they are -by far- the best I have ever tasted. Grandma would be envious of these, rest her soul! Thank you, Bristol!! These are my new bi-weekly cheat pastry on my Keto diet!
Probably one of the best donuts Ive ever had. I would love to try their espresso but their machine was down. The cold brew coffee was excellent though. I will be returning.
Wow!! The cinnamon rolls are out of this world! Great little shop, super friendly staff and great prices. Will definitely be going back!
Nice place, decent coffee and donuts are good. A little expensive for my taste.
I am so happy to have found both gluten free and vegan donuts here. They were yummy and I will be back....even though I live on the other side of town but this is worth it.
I have gone so many times and I am always impressed by the quality (and size) of their donuts. The regular flavors are good, and they always have several exciting new flavors per month. The pictures below show some of the summer flavors - watermelon, chantilly, and honey/lemon/lavender. Hope I got the names right. Anyway, Id highly recommend them!
I review places that make an impression on me. BDC is baked with love and I have just enjoyed the family time so much I forget to take pictures and review them. That should tell folks alone how dope this place is.This is an awesome family business. Owners who care about the ingredients and the products they produce are fresh daily. We started with BDC when theyβre in the double decker bus on Nobhil. This is our Sunday hotspot with our children. A perfect cheat day spot. When you cheat might as well do it with quality fresh baked stuff.I always get something different every time. Never disappointed! My new favorite is the chocolate Gluten free with nothing on it. Itβs like a warm fresh baked brownie. Itβs like a corner piece also. So freaking good and almost guilt free. Iβm a Keto head and this is my cheat.
Great donuts, cool little shop & bus. Very friendly staff. Highly recommend checking them out.
Order ahead, or your flavor will be gone due to popularity
We will never go back. Very disappointing. We got a maple donut and a coconut mango donut. Both donuts tasted just like a sugar donut that you could get at albertsons. Theres nothing special about these. WAY OVERPRICED. Ive had way better donuts just from Albertsons or Smiths. Zero maple flavor. Zero coconut or mango flavor. Coffee was pretty good but took a long time to get it.
Not worth the price. We got chocolate icing w sprinkles, blueberry cheesecake and a cinnamon roll for $11 plus tax and tip.The chocolate one was unbelievably greasy. I could see the grease sitting at the bottom of the doughnut.Blueberry was just a plain doughnut with icing that was okay. At least it wasnt dripping grease. The cinnamon roll, for us, needs to beat the amazing Frontier Roll. While good, it was smaller, the same price and, as stated, simply good.I liked that the doughnuts were crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Thats a rarity. The selection is limited to about 9 options that vary. The gal at the counter was very friendly. All said, not special enough to take my patronage away from other competitors.
UPDATE March 12, 2020: The operation has moved into the building next to the double-decker bus (which is the easiest landmark for finding the parking lot)! They stay open until 4pm and make fresh new donuts on-demand when items get low in the case. We devoured a thin-mint (dark chocolate with light glaze and minty flecks--cake type with fine crumb) and Bombolini (wowowow: delicate sugared crust surrounding a pillowy soft interior bursting with just-sweet-enough coffee-flavored cream filling--yeasted type). Sensational texture and flavor. Heavenly! Definitely the *best* handcrafted donut I have ever consumed. They had some vegan donuts, too.Bristol is Nutfree!!!!--ORIGINAL REVIEW: My friend and I enjoyed todays last two donuts: classic cinnamon sugar. Scrumptious. They were the cake sort with a dense, even crumb, and coated uniformly on both sides. We each paired them with a cup of regular brewed coffee (no decaf) then sat on the top floor of the double-decker bus to consume and chat. We liked it. Regrettably, donuts were sold out by 10AM: the special pumpkin flavored donuts were long gone. After we finished, the bus closed for the day and turned away disappointed customers. The friendly young lady behind the counter told me today was unusual, because of Halloween (donuts go to office parties).NOTE: This was a credit card-only venue (no cash on-hand). When its your turn to bring the pastries to the party, dial-in your order, pre-pay, and select the desired varieties so no one becomes disappointed.
A once exciting find, turned disappointing. The first time I tried The Ruby (their baked, gluten-free donut), I was blown away by how delicious it was! It was so compact and satisfying, covered in a perfect blanket of icing, and had a wonderfully dense texture and flavor in the cake from the gluten-free flour. I could barely wait to come back for it again, so imagine my disappointment when the next one I got (despite being the exact same order) was completely different. The cake wasnt as dense and felt more like a muffin or bundt cake, and the icing wasnt even glazed on top, just a sad drizzle leaving it almost bare (people- this is a donut!! A full coat of glaze is just a basic essential!!) A few days ago I gave it another shot in hopes that this was just a fluke. Unfortunately, it was the exact same thing as before, with the same barely-there icing. I will also note that this is nothing like how they advertise The Ruby online, with all the photos showing it fully glazed. Consistency is key, and Iβm still dreaming about that first Ruby donut!
Please everyone go snatch up their bombolinis before I buy out the stock ππ theyre to good to actually exist in this reality. Seriously faltered hope after we lost our beloved maple bacon donuts, but these babies are revolutionary! ππ€€ definitely worth the buy!
Coffee is always good and the pastries are always different but always always delicious. The only thing I would change is me getting up earlier to get a better selection LOL. Come in eat and leave with a smile but dont forget to go out to the gym after. π€
Update 2 (Sept 2021): Every time I return here the product is consistently good, still the best donut in New Mexico.Pricey ($3-4 per donut) but worth every cent. The dough has a wonderful fullness to it, soft on the inside and a perfect crispy crunch.Highly recommend the prickly pear donut, their flagship product in my opinion.
Gourmet quality and one doughnut is the equivalent of two anywhere else!
Just stopped in for the first time and it will be my last. I wouldnβt have minded the exorbitant price had the doughnuts been fresh and delicious. These seemed to have a hard staleness to them. The orange blossom and lemon curd filing tasted reminiscent of an ointment of some sort and the cinnamon roll using brioche, although sounding like an elevated version, was anything but. Just save your money and go to Dunkin Donuts.
My favorite donut shop in the city! Its on the opposite side of the city from where I live but i still try to drop by. Its delicious and they are friendly people!
Amazing doughnuts try the horchata one also the cold bruh will put hair on your chest very good and nice people
My second time here. Tried to be a repeat customer. They have great donuts unfortunately the customer service is hit or miss. They literally treated everyone in front of us like kings and then us poorly. Assumed my $.99 change was the tip and kept it. so i kept my actual tip. Did not make my coffee right and walked away when i asked for more cream. But they had 10 minutes to care for the family ahead of us while we wait. I guess my 7 door order is not adaquate
Update with new location! Now located at Comanche and Morris. In a double decker bus!First I have to say that the double decker food truck/ bus is a fantastic idea! Itβs creative and unique, and all around super cute. They have refinished the inside so that the bottom is where they sell the doughnuts from (and coffee) and upstairs has seating for you to enjoy your tasty treats. The doughnuts are still the same, and delicious. The premium ingredients shine and make them exceptional. The bus is heated and cooled, and decorated! They are hands down the best doughnuts in town. They only take credit cards, and they are not cheap- $3-4 each. But worth it. Oh, and the original Spur Line location sitill carries a small stock of the doughnuts each day. So does Little Bear Coffee.Original review:Bristol Doughnuts. First visit here. Very different atmosphere. They are located inside another business, which is a very eclectic collection of things. There is even an airstream trailer inside the building. So from the outside itβs not well marked, there are a couple tiny folding signs. Once you find the building and go inside you have to walk through the other business and they hidden in the back corner. The owner is super sweet, and she told us all about how they make their doughnuts. There isnβt a huge variety of them, but they are very gourmet. We picked the salted butter cake, bomboloni, cinnamon roll, and prickly pear. There is seating inside and out, we went outside since there was no one there. The salted butter cake, their best seller for good reason, was excellent. All the flavors came through and the cake was light, moist, and rich. and the salted butter is TO DIE FOR good, The cinnamon roll was delicious, and with the salted butter instead of cream cheese is very unique. The prickly pear was tasty, very mild, it definitely could stand to be stronger. The tiramisu bomboloni was also mild and not overpowering.
Not any different then Dunkin Donuts 12 donuts was $25. A bit too much for basic quality.
Absolutely first class. Donuts made on site with care. Phenomenal combinations
Super donuts - huge, tasty and not too sweet. VERY expensive :(
First time in Bristol and I must say I was impressed. Great service, great donuts!
Huge donuts with unique flavors like prickly pear. Extra friendly service. A few tables outside for sitting & enjoying a yummy treat. They are quite expensive & so huge that its hard to enjoy more than one variety. Also, the yeast donuts are sometimes clumpy like they didnt rise enough. Not my favorite donut shop, but I love supporting local & Ill stick with the cake donuts & cinnamon rolls in the future.
Overpriced and average quality donuts. Also really slow service.
Fantastic donuts and coffee, love this place
Best doughnut ever! So big i got full on one.
So good... The cinnamon rolls are especially good.
Excellent donuts. They are more expensive, but worth every penny. Where I might eat 3 donuts from another shop, 1 donut fills me up here. I recommend the apple fritter. Nice and crisp. Not too sweet.
Hands down the best donuts I have ever had. Awesome customer service. Whether youβre from Albuquerque or just passing by, I highly recommend making a stop at this donut shop.
I tried Bristol for the first time about a week ago. My sister and I came later in the day so there was slim pickings. Still, I walked away with 8 pastries. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. Every item was delicious! Im a fan!!!
Wonderful pastries, and they even have a dairy free option you can choose the icing for!
Excellent flavors.
Always unique. Very special donuts!
Great place for gluten free/ dairy free doughnuts. Awesome!
Not your standard donuts. Huge and specialized kinds of donuts that you can share one donut with your company. Delicious, flavorful fresh donuts. Will go back again but dont make a habit of it.π
Well made pastries and super friendly staff.
Went at around 4 and there was still plenty of options the doughnuts itself were great.
Amazing doughnuts. A bit heavy sometimes but theyre worth it. Coffee is good too, try the Americano.
Walked here on a pleasantly warm November morning. I was pleased by the kindness of the employees and the taste of the donuts.
DISAPPOINTED! I donβt mind spending money on high priced food, but this was so βnot worth itβ! You could taste the heavy oil in the donuts. Wasted our money!
Best donuts in Albuquerque!
Had a pretty good donut.. wish they made French Crullers... They are my favorite kind...
Donuts are cakey but not too heavy. One of the best chocolate donuts Ive eaten!
Donuts are great! Some of the donut toppings are very creative. The Bristol Donut company needs more tables outside.
LOVE this place. Awesome staff, probably some of the best tasting doughnuts Ive ever had and such a unique variety. Cool location. Get there early, we got there around 12pm the first time and they were sold out. Highly recommend to anyone.
Delicious donuts, moist and cakey! Even my picky husband enjoyed one of their tasty treats, so I would say a win on that front too!
Best doughnuts in ABQ.
I was there around noon, they had about 15 donuts left. Either theyre extremely good donuts or they dont know how to manage.
By far the best Gluten free baked good in town! The chocolate GF cake donut is comparable to a wheat based product.20/10 would recommend, thought I was eating a regular donut at first!
Good gluten free donut, not so good service!
Great donuts but a bit pricey for one donut.....not used to that. Great service and very clean
Truly delicious gluten free donuts! While the flavors are limited, I spent the years after a single tasty dafe donut. I think the chocolate is the best but everything was delicious
Bristol is premier donuts of Burque!!! Now good selection all day in house or they will make bacon maple fresh for you π. You rockπ
The best doughnut π©
The banana stuffed donut is to dieeee for
The atmosphere here is incredible and the donuts are delicious. The biggest problem is the cold weather turned the donuts slightly stale. Take them home and pop them in the microwave, or wait till the warm weather comes around again and eat inside the bus!
We love the vegan Ruby Doughnuts. I wish the had more vegan options.
Great donuts and rolls. Wonderful service
Holy moly. Amazing donuts, doing a great job during this uncertain time. Really keeping it up. GIANT, flavourful.
What an awesome place. We had to get a box with one of each.... they were all amazing. Cant wait to go back!
These doughnuts are the best in Albuquerque by far. Bristol offers a superior quality local product. Yes they may be slightly more expensive than the other doughnuts around here but they really are worth every penny. Quality over quantity! Iβll definitely be going here as often as possible.
Fantastic donuts, great coffee, and such a cute lobby
The doughnuts are delicious and dense. Best doughnut in Albuquerque.
I really want to love this place! Love the business concept. Tasty doughnuts with a great view and fun music. The needle to the balloon was the employees working had short, vague answers and were very unwelcoming. Upper level floor needed a good sweep.
Good donuts, highly recommend salted butter. Location is in a cute, cool, and funky store. Staff is always friendly. Donuts here are on the pricey side, compared to other shops but itβs well worth it. Go now! :)
I had the apricot doughnut cake for my wifes first mothers day, and it was amazing. Will be coming back for their doughnuts a lot.
Seriously. Best donut Iβve ever had. I like heavy, bready, rich donuts, and thatβs what these are. Substantial. If youβre looking for air and sugar, you might not be so impressed. But if you want a truly unique masterpiece, youβve found it.
These are the best doughnuts on the PLANET. Its easy to tell theyre made with superior ingredients. They cost a little more than other doughnuts, but very worth it! Im anxiously waiting for their permanent brick and mortar store.Support local!!!!
Biggest, best donut ever, and all I had was a bite of my granddaughters! Grandson declared cinnamon roll not his fav. Darling bus, nice folks. Go check it out!
Quirky but awesome and unlike any other donut shop youve ever seen My favorite is the chocolate glazed...the quality, taste and texture of the chocolate glaze are unbeatable and unlike any other donut Ive had. The yeast donut is also just incredible. Friendly service. Theres a gorgeous patio for outdoor seating, or a charming indoor table, as well. The package deal of 2 donuts plus a coffe drink is definitely the way to go!
Stopped by this place when they first appeared by Monte fire house, and found there chai was perfect. Also the.belly bisquits (aka) donuts were a bit pricey, but is real bakery. So this is a nice different spot when the bus was around.
I first found this place a while back when a coworker brought one if their doughnuts in. Its a conversation starter because of their size and the quality stands out. I eventually made my way to old town when they were back there and was hooked with my first bite. Their double decker bus alone is an experience, not to mention their ever changing menu. Im very happy to see a permanent location that is a comforting and relaxing environment. Some of the best local doughnuts and service in Albuquerque
Amazing!!!!!! Delicious texture of the actual doughβnot to mention the out-of-this-world filling!!!! Keep it up!Also- as a working mom who completely understands the importance of having your children be a part of your life- and the absolute necessity of having them close by when they are infants, keep it up and pay no attention to people who say otherwiseππ
This place/bus could easily be a 4 or 4.5 if someone made their coffee stronger.
GREAT DONUTS NICE PEOPLE!
Vanilla bean and Prickly Pear glazed doughnuts today....oh my they were darn tasty! So many choices, so little time π! Looking forward to coming back soon and trying their gluten free options.
Best coconut cream doughnut Ive ever tasted.
I love that this business is family owned and friendly to people of all ages. I felt welcomed and enjoyed the atmosphere. I also appreciated seeing the owner work with her kids as they helped her sweep the store. I admire hard work.
I went online searching for a French Beignet and the only thing that came close to it was the Bomboloni. So I gave them a try and they are amazing! Fresh backed everyday and I am sure that they sell fast. They dont take cash because of being isolated in the bus, so that is okay. These are probably the best donuts I have had since I was a kid in the early 1960s and went to a German Bakery back east. As for the person who complained about gluten free being sold out, get over it and get there earlier the next time. I will be coming back soon with a friend or two.
Great doughnuts! Love the sour dough. Nice and clean!!!
Probably the best donuts in ABQ, will be back to gather more data...
Really unique double decker bus with unique donuts and very tasty coffee. Highly recommend.
GREAT PEOPLE, GREAT DOUGHNUTS AND COFFEE. THE BRISTOL SALTED BUTTER IS A FANTASTIC TREAT!
