This has been my go-to for local meats, dairy, and produce for the past few months. The employees/counter attendants are always extremely knowledgeable. In addition to how their customer service is at an exemplary level. The owner does a lot to accommodate the needs of customers, as well as going beyond to try and keep up with local supply/demand chains (which is not easy whatsoever). The shop itself is conveniently located. It’s small but very well organized, and feels extremely covid safe. It’s rare for anybody to be there besides myself and an employee. You can even purchase pantry staples like locally milled flour, vinegar, spice mixes, etc. Try the fermented goods. Try the tortillas made by one of the best tortillerías in town. Get those fresh, nutritious bags of rainbow chard, red spinach, carrots, and fresh herbs. Get the oh-so-tender harvest moon potatoes. Get the eggs and pork sausage— you WILL have the best fried eggs, sausage, and potatoes for breakfast. When they carry DeSmet Dairy milk— grab a half gallon. The in-house made dulce de manzana is sooo addicting. By shopping at Tiny Grocer I know I’m in turn supporting local farmers, sustainable agricultural practices, etc. Lastly, make sure to get a coffee or tea latte when you’re there and leave a good tip— you will not regret it!
On my 3rd day of living in Albuquerque, my dog Toro and I happened upon this beautiful place. What a gift. We love the friends weve made there and the nourishment we find when we visit. Check out their community events!
Popped in while we were waiting for our table to be ready at High Noon just up the street. Had a peppermint hot tea with honey. I dont like peppermint tea, but this was sooo good! I will definitely be back! Heck, I will make a special trip just for that peppermint tea. It was so warm, soothing and comforting.Their selection of groceries was pretty good considering the store is so tiny, looked very fresh, too, and locally grown and raised. I plan on making a grocery purchase, too, next time I go.
What an amazing shop to have in this great neighborhood. You can get a great coffee or tea (I had a chai latte that was one of the best Ive had) and your groceries! Their produce was VERY fresh and they had a surprisingly good selection for being tiny. This is the place to go to get all your basic groceries and be able to reduce your trips to a corporate grocery store.
Came in during their opening weekend and I couldnt be happier! The Grocer really is tiny, but theres a great selection of locally sourced necessities (eggs, milk, meat, and chilies of course). I came in looking for a new coffee shop to try and I got a great cortado and a dark chocolate cinnamon scone. I also left with some eggs and veg for the week. The barista was incredibly nice and baked everything herself. Its a wonderful little addition to Old Town that I hope sticks around!
Great space, friendly staff. Had exactly the breakfast meat I was looking for.
Such a great little find! I love that they sell local foods that are organic and that are made and harvested with care and respect. On top of that they also have a little coffee shop
Sweet, well stocked tiny grocer has all the things we love! They serve breakfast, coffee and tea. Really pretty, shaded patio area. The coffee is scrumptious!
The best!! So happy to see a great little local grocer in this area, it was so desperately needed. The locally sourced roast from here was exquisite, also purchased a bag of salad greens and maybe the tastiest vinagarette Ive ever had. Long live the tiny grocer abq!
A gem! I found a delicious pastry, kind people, and hyper-local staples. They know where their flour comes from!
So excited to see local meat available!!!
