I really enjoy going to Zendo. This coffee house is like no other in Albuqurque. Zendo has a great selection of coffees, teas, espressos and lattes made with their locally roasted coffee. They also make some unique iced drinks. Among my favorites, the sparkling lavender ginger lemonade. So refreshing slightly peppery sweet, top this off with a hit of lavender and you have magic. It’s heavenly for my taste buds. They also carry a nice selection of fresh baked goods from Witching Flour a local bakery. Kudos for supporting other local businesses. Zendo has amazing amazing natural light from their huge skylights, which creates a calming and relaxing state of mind. The staff is friendly and professional, who can ask for anything more.A bit of goodness in all they do.
Okay okay, absolutely enjoyed this spot. They had many different names for coffees. I had asked the barista a few questions of what they are & how they taste. She was so helpful & I didn’t feel rushed trying to order. Great coffee & customer service! When the food/drink & customer service is good I always give a 5 ✨oh and the vibe is so great! It’s an open space with plants :)
Nice little spot. Looks cool inside (due to Covid-19 not able to go in). I was greeted nicely at the window by a young lady. I ordered a breve latte. Shots tasted delicious and smooth. The steamed half and half they came in was okay. Overall the taste and presentation of the beverage was good. Price point for my beverage was high average. I like supporting local so I hope to pay them a visit again to try other espresso beverages.
Absolutely in love with this place! First time coming here today and I ordered a Turkish latte oat milk and I couldn’t believe how smooth the espresso was and how nicely the flavors went together, been a really long time since I tried a coffee that made me smile just from trying it and it just brightened my day. The staff is so lovely as well! This is a great environment to just sit and relax or have a coffee with friends. Can’t wait to come back!
Best coffee shop we found in a week of poking around NM.We spent a week all over NM and every morning found a local coffee shop to get a cup. My friend likes really strong coffee (Americano with a shot) and Im a regular coffee sort of guy. This place was our favorite stop of them all. Great atmosphere and the breakfast food was both southwestern and tasty. All in all, highly recommended.
Cute spot to work out of and tasty espresso drinks. They sell out of the vegan pastries quickly so go early of youre hoping to snag one! Loved all the plants inside. Great music and friendly, efficient staff.
Best coffee ever and such a cute atmosphere. Try the Zia latte, it is amazing!
Great little coffee house. Even has vegan & gluten free choices on menu. Although, that GF donut was quite the sugar bomb! I wouldnt normally eat that much sugar in a month or two! LOVED the London Fog tea & they had plant based milks!
Good coffee selection. These guys bring in different coffee to try from other states . Enjoyed a medium to light roast from Utah called la Barbra.
Great atmosphere, great service, and amazing coffee, I go back often.
Been here on a Friday and set with my laptop. Ordered cappuccino which was good. Great ambiance, friendly staff and spacious place. Most importantly, the music was awesome. Will definitely come back!
If you like the Seattle hipster and Seattle prices vibe then this is the place for you. I prefer the Java Joes Burqueno vibe. Were all different.
Pilar who owns and runs this shop is a beautiful person!! Coffee is on point every time. Love Zendo
Loved their zia latte with oat milk! Highly recommend!
Love this place. Great coffee, staff, patio and overall vibe. Wish I could come here more!
Great coffee, great vibes, lots of plants, nice patio space to hang out, and the food is fantastic as well. Check it out if you havent before.
I’ve been wanting to visit this place for a while and finally got a chance to today. This place is wonderful. You walk in and there is a very communal and relaxing atmosphere. I ordered the Aztec Latte and it was one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. My cousin ordered the Turkish Latte and it was equally as delicious. She’s lactose intolerant and they easily substituted with almond milk. Great coffee, great atmosphere. I can’t wait to go back.
Friendly staff, fast service even when they are busy, delicious chai, strong coffee 😉. And everything is sparkling clean.
This is our go to coffee shop when the kiddos want to have a nice weekend morning with us. The coffee is always good. The local baked goods are great (partial to the sticky bun). The ambiance is enjoyable, and you can check out the revolving artwork displays. New pieces from new artists all the time. Check this place out.
I was visiting from Dallas and needed to find a great coffee shop. This place was totally the best in Albuquerque! We obviously didn’t get to go inside because of the pandemic but the atmosphere in there looks so amazing! Definitely want to come back and sit in there one day when I go back to New Mexico. The barista who took our order was so nice and she gave us some fun recommendations to do in Albuquerque.
A nice place to chill & read while enjoying a tasty beverage of your choice. The food
Great coffee and place to talk! The workers are all accommodating and kind. While price is always a factor in coffee shops, you should definitely go to this place if you are looking for a coffee date!
This coffee place is absolutely amazing! I love trying a new coffee place at least once a week and this shop is one of my favorites so far. The reason why I give it a four star instead of five is because the prices are a little high for the amount you get. This coffee shop only has one size for all their drinks and its pretty small. I wish they had different size options. But overall the coffee is amazing!
Coffee and the barista were great but the croissant was stiff as a rock.
Great shop to work from as well as excellent coffee 🤠
They have nice staff. the food tastes good but they missed my order once.
Great coffee and tea! The staff is friendly and professional. The atmosphere was awesome.
Really great atmosphere and staff. Equally great coffee!
This is such a cute place with amazing decor, plants, etc. and really nice employees. I really really wanted to like their coffee, but it was just okay and my milk was burnt.
Its just cute.
Zendo is one of the best coffee shop I’ve been to. What an amazing selection of coffee beverages!
The egg burrito is to die for. Over the top amazing. Well worth the $5 or $6 they charge.
Best London Fog Ive ever had.
Great vibes & great coffee! Iced Café con Leche is my favorite ☕️
I used their online ordering system to get a drink to go. It was easy and they were ready super fast! Such original options available on their menu. I feel like Ill need to return a lot just to try everything! When Im back in ABQ I definitely will!
The staff was super kind and very careful about keeping Gluten Free people safe by keeping their (very gf) Planty Sweet treats separate & using dedicated gf serving utensils. Both the Turkish latte with macadamia milk & the orange creamsicle gf donut were delicious.
Just a window on the street- hows that a gallery? asked about the outdoor seating -informed it was at brewpub next door but it is not open- it opens right when Zendo closes
The atmosphere was warm and cozy. The staff was welcoming and friendly. I inquired about a coffee they are making and the gal willingly explained the process and ingredients. I regret not getting her name. 😔 The burrito was delicious and I appreciated that it was not warned in a microwave. The gluton free, vegan donuts were amazing as well. We had the red chili burrito served with a side of salsa. I had a black coffee which was very tasty and my friend had a Zia Latte with white chocolate and whip cream. Out of this world for the taste buds. Sat outside on the patio. Beautiful morning! We will definately visit again when back on Albuquerque.
I sampled two items over the course of 2 days. Was so good I had to try something different before I posted this review to be sure! The drip coffee: dark roastThe Cold Brew: tastyThese are very good drinks and they have super friendly staff and baristas. Theyre pretty quick, even when I saw it get a little busier in the late morning. definetely recommend this spot. Downtown, park away and walk though. parking is off the street only and succeeded once of my two tries.
Amazing coffee and staff!
They knock it out everytime
They have the most amazing pastries!!
Coffee was good and their back patio is great.
Love this place full of wonderful drinks to fill the soul
Always a favorite of mine. I love how the 2 ladies that were working were friendly to myself and kids. Always great coffee! I love supporting love businesses 💛
Best coffee your hard earned money can buy
LOVE their creative mixed coffee drinks
All I had to say was that I had allergies and they accommodated them very well, I got the London fog tea, it was delicious! Absolutely worth the drive
The interior blends a clean, modern look with some New Mexico influence and just has a sleek vibe to it. And theres a nice outdoor area, too. The cold brew is delicious and the people are great. Zendo is centrally located and theres usually ample street parking. The bathroom, while out in the open for everyone to see you going in (lol) is clean and spacious.
Great place and great drinks.
Had great coffee at this place while passing through Albuquerque! The beans are locally roasted and the staff saw we were from out of town and were super friendly giving recommendations on what coffee to try and nearby places to eat!
Very good coffee, and pastries. Simple, local, and not overdone like many coffee shops can become. Will frequent since moving into the area, hopefully.
I came here to get some late breakfast, and I got a green chile burrito as well as a chocolate donut. The burrito got heated up and served with some salsa, and it was quite delicious although the paper wrapping the burrito was stuck to the burrito itself. The chocolate donut wasnt too sweet and was almost like eating a cake; the consistency was interesting and good. All this came out to be around $10 post-tax which is a bit pricey. Due to covid, theres no seating indoors but theres two tables outside to enjoy the good weather and eat some good food!
Very nice staff and great coffee.
Best flat white I had in Albuquerque!! Fantastic!!
Absolutely love this coffee shop. The Aztec iced coffee is my go to.
I was hesitant to write this review because I love the coffee at Zendo. However, every time my boyfriend or I go in the experience is never great. Prior to the pandemic we always felt out of place and didnt receive great customer service. Each time Ive visited since it seems as if the customer service has gotten worst and worst. There little to no communication from the baristas and anytime you show up to order or pickup an online order you get the cold shoulder. Its hard to want to return when those that are serving you are rude and unwelcoming. For this reason we will not be returning to Zendo and will be picking up our morning coffee elsewhere. Hopefully this is something that changes soon so that other customers dont receive the same treatment.
Its okay. They make good lattes/drinks and some employees are very kind. The beans they carry arent great, and some employees can be gruff.
Communicative, community concerned, caring staff & ownership. “Wowed” on multiple occasions by the menu items and variety of alternative mills offered. The coffee is delicious of course!
Zendo is the best coffee in town. Cool atmosphere, lots of people studying or working, and well made espresso drinks. Try out the Aztec Latte for something spicy. They serve Burque Bakery pastries - which are amazing and normally only sold at the farmers markets. Also, if you want to switch to beer, hop next door to sidetrack.
They are enforcing masks which I love. They have pastries from local shops and some really awesome lattes. Very friendly and kind
Just passing through. Great coffee. Specialty drink was just a tiny bit on the sweet side.
Amazing place! Just moved from California and I was missing that artsy vibe with a great social place to chill at. This place even has delicious coffee to go with it.
I love hipsters and weird coffee. All jokes aside, great atmosphere, great staff, personable, and of course the best coffee in Albuquerque.I come back every week for the staff and the coffee. Try the almond and pecan pastries!
First time going here. It has a very relaxed atmosphere and the art on the walls is beautiful. They also have outdoor seating; after entering towards the back. The staff is very friendly and helpful. When I asked which had the most caffeine the staff right away responded and include some of the ingredients. Overall a very enjoyable atmosphere for coffee and pastries.
Great delicious caffeine options and pastries and nice people
My favorite is the Zia latte with dark chocolate and a pastry from The Witching Flour
Really good coffee! Nice people, great environment even if were not allowed inside. Ill be trying there beans next visit 😁
Love this place. Best iced coffee Ive known thats locally served. They have special lattes that are delicious as well. Their location is always composed nicely with ever changing artwork on their walls. They have a nice patio in the back thats connected to a brewery. Best of both worlds I guess you could say. Theyve always had sesame bagels when Ive wanted them. Wish it came with more cream cheese, but you should go there for their coffee not their cream cheese :p.
Hearty vegan breakfasts like sausage tofu. Macadamia nut milk.
I love the location, it’s downtown while also close to the freeway. I really like that they serve interesting drink combinations like coffee with chili in it. The environment is usually bustling with people who seem to be regulars but it’s never overcrowded. The baristas are always very kind and welcoming. When I need to meet a client or have some time to work on my laptop Zendo is often the place I choose because the vibe for that is just perfect.
By far my favorite coffee place in Albuquerque. Great atmosphere, friendly and talented baristas, and great baked goods. There is not much they arent doing well.My biggest complaint? More wall plugs so I can hang out longer (and buy more coffee and food).
Fast service and nice workers
