This was a great shop with a variety of fabrics and quilting items. I was especially interested in Route 66 and balloon fabrics which they had a good selection of but ended up with digital prints, national park and sale fabrics as well! Great stop!

I love shopping at hip stitch. They have a great selection of fabric and the employees are all very nice. My 7 year old often goes with me and they remember her and talk to her about our projects.Ive gone for their open classroom designated sewing time and enjoyed the instructor. I lived in a 2 bedroom apartment at the time and didnt have a designated sewing space so I appreciated the large tables and areas to baste my quilt along with the quilting pattern advice. Plus it was an afternoon of me time with no household interruptions.I love the safety measures theyve implemented during these difficult times. Im so lucky to live in Albuquerque where there are such great local independent quilt shops to support.

Hips Stitch is my neighborhood fabric store. The service is amazing. I needed to sew a specialty item with zero sewing machine experience. I took some lessons and was able to complete my project. The store crew is very supportive and helpful. They have a large selection of the most unique and beautiful fabrics, plus so much more. They provide fast order processing and shipping. The curbside service is amazing too!

I have shopped Hip Stitch since they moved into this location. I find that the staff is cheerful, knowledgeable and helpful. As for Jeremy, he has taken good care of my Brother and Elna for many years. I have always been surprised with his affordable and speedy care of my machines. I was visiting Albuquerque from out of state and came across Hip Stitch, so naturally I had to stop in. This is a great little shop with a wonderful variety of fabrics, especially for quilting. Good pricing and friendly staff. If youre in the area, I would highly recommend giving them a visit!

We were making masks as quickly as we could. My machine began breaking the top thread as it was going thru the bobbin area. The local dealer gave me. 6week estimate for service. I dropped it at Hip Stitch and it was back in less than a week good as new! I’m so glad to have an alternate for repair service. 1700 masks finished! Thank you!

Jeremi tried to fix my 40 year plus Kenmore. Within 3 days he did let me know that it was toast! He was kind and did explain to me what the problem was. The staff is exceptionally knowledgeable, caring and efficient. Store has the best inventory of all types of fabrics. I just wish that you were on the West Side. Gem of a fabric store!

Dropped off my Janome for service last week, using the safe, convenient, friendly, and easy curbside service Hip Stitch provides. Received a call from Jeremi the following day. My feed dog switch was flipped the wrong way...problem solved and there was no charge! He also had great advice on the best type threads and needles to use. Because of the wonderful service I received, I went online and purchased thread and needles from Hip Stitch, which were ready for me when I picked up my machine! Hip Stitch is a 5 star, first class local business I highly recommend!

Hipstitch is by far the best quilt shop in the state of NM. I feel very fortunate that I live in Albuquerque, very close to my favorite quilt store. The staff greet you when they see you, with a smile that shows me that they are sincerely happy to see me. I think the number one reason why I will always be loyal to Hipstitch is because the owner and staff gave so much back to the community Through mask-making in those months before we could buy masks anywhere. Think about that for a minute.

A favorite shop when I visit from out of state. During my last visit I was disappointed that a kit for a store display didn’t have fabrics I was hoping for that matched the display (it was a small pincushion kit) and the gal who helped me cut a new kit for me on the spot to include the color away from the display I had been admiring. That’s customer service worth coming back for! I also love the m as my refurbished featherweights on display.

This is my favorite store to take classes. I dont know most of the proper sewing terminology and they are always so patient. They have a great selection of fabrics and people willing to help. Ive been in other quilting stores where they only pay attention to the customers with the biggest purchases but hipstitch will answer your question no mater the quantity of your purchase!

A friend found out I was going to be in town visiting family and suggested I visit this quilt shop. My sister and I went and both of us had the same thought- we felt so welcomed! The ladies there were so helpful and made us feel right at home. I have visited a lot of quilt shops during my travels and I can honestly say Hip Stitch was one of the friendliest stores ever!! Thank you for giving us a great memory of Albuquerque!!

I took my Bernina in for a cleaning and adjustment, plus it needed a light bulb. I called a week later and talked to Jeremy. He said he read the work order and decided it needed parts, seriously, a light bulb? He told me he hadnt even looked at the machine only the work order. I was told a message was sent to me. I had given my landline number. I realize my tech knowledge is not up to date, but to the best of my knowledge you cannot send a text or email message to a landline. If they had bothered to actually call and for some reason I was not home they would have gotten an answering machine and could have left a voice message. So much for the statement that a machine is repaired to often sews better than new. So much for Hip Stitch. I will return there and recommend them when pigs and donkeys sprout wings and fly.

Visit and shop at this wonderful store! These are the most knowledgeable, caring and customer focused owners and staff. Their fabric selections surpass many other shops. Classes offered are skill enhancing, budget friendly and attended by some of the nicest and most fun folks. Do I love Hip Stitch??? Absolutely! And Im not paid to say these things.

I have enjoyed numerous classes at Hip Stitch, especially with Julie and knits. One thing I enjoy is their assortment of fabrics for not only quilting but also fabrics for apparel. I am taking classes in making tops, dresses and jackets. I am very happy with the sales personnel and their expertise.

Hip Stitch is a fun shopping experience every time I go in. I love their new location with a large classroom and many more bolts of fabric. They always have something new in projects, books, fabric or notions and their sales are irresistible. I live an hour away but its always worth the drive to shop for my favorite modern fabrics. This shop is not to be missed whether you are passing through Albuquerque or are fortunate enough to live nearby. Staff will happily answer your questions or help you select just the right fabric for your project. It isnt the largest shop in the world but that is actually an advantage as the fabric choices are carefully selected and I never fail to find many fabrics, patterns and notions that I need. The shop also benefits from having a very skilled technician (Jeremi ) and your sewing machine will be tenderly cared for him!

I love Hip Stitch. It is always a fun place to visit even if I am not ourchasing something. I have found the staff to be super friendly and down to earth. I can only afford to purchase a couple of times a year, but, so worth it when I can.

Can’t say enough good things about Hip Stitch and the people who own and operate it! Just purchased some beautiful, unique fabric for a special project for my daughter’s upcoming wedding. Not only was it a great price, I got specific instructions on how to pre wash it and when discussing the project I got additional tips on how to take on the extra details of the project. No matter when I go in, there is always someone with direct experience in whatever it is that I am working on and they freely give their opinions; happy to contribute to my sewing process! To top it off, Suzanne and Steve give us the bright, large sewing space, that is adjacent to the store, to sew in for three hours twice a month for our charity sewing group, Women To Be! Their generosity is so appreciated.

Visiting Albuerque from out of town and saw a flyer for this warm and inviting little sewing & quilting store and thought we would stop in and check it out. Glad we did, the owners and staff were all very friendly and pleasant to talk with. They were having their businesses 10th anniversary of operation celebration party that day. The fabric selection is terrific and I love being able to see the lines and the independent patterns in person instead of relying on the internet.
