Love the place. Is really nice to stay in or outside. I used to go very often but they are always making the wrong coffee, sometimes it looks milky you cant even smell or taste the coffee. I pay extra 0.75 cent to make it little bit sweeter still not and this is not the first time that happened. So disappointed because i like the place and is close to my house.
Ive been frequenting this establishment at least weekly the past couple of months. After todays visit they have lost this customer for good based on the attitude of the young woman working the counter. In short, was not service friendly at all, borderline rude and just shows how your employees can be your best assets or your worst nightmare when it comes to repeat business. Too bad. I liked their donuts.
Ian is so kind. I arrived late in the afternoon during a road trip. So, there werent many donuts. Ian provided drinks and donuts for free. I will never forget his kindness. Thanks 😄
Wow amazing donuts and coffee! I had the mocha frapp and paired it with the peanut chocolate long john, delicious!!! On top of that wonderful customer service. This was my first time here and I will be a frequent customer!
They have a nice selection of donuts and good fresh brewed coffee. My long john was very sweet with a dusting of sea salt on top. It had a nice balance. I also tried a bit of the cinnamon roll. It wasn’t the typical tall roll that you’d find at a church breakfast, it had a bit more mild of a cinnamon flavor and was thinner. Ride and Roast is a pretty good bakery and is locally owned. I’ll definitely swing in again. They also have a cool pick-up box where you place your order online and it’s in a box/shelf thing by the door.
I havent actually tried their donuts yet but their espresso coffees are surprisingly good.
I really like this coffee shop. They have a delicious oatmeal and can make a delightful americano.
We were looking to buy some donuts for carry out. We were standing looking when a young girl working there told us masks were required. We politely told her we just wanted donuts for carry out and we didnt have masks. She said they would not serve us if we didnt wear them. She was very rude so we left. Its a sad day when a business openly discriminates against people wanting to give them money! And guess what!? They were not refusing service to those in the drive through not wearing masks! How hypocritical as they breathe right into the window and the restaurant. Not to mention there is a large open window in the front of the place where people were sitting and eating without masks on! This is a disgusting way to treat people and I will never visit this place again. ** Response to owner- Firstly, a MANDATE is not a LAW. And nowhere in the mandate does it say that you have to REFUSE SERVICE to anyone. Secondly, there are LAWS against discrimination. Your fluffy response is not appreciated.**
Excellent donuts. Frosted chocolate donuts are simple, but the best. The filled donuts are very creative and good, but overly sweet filling keeps them from being truly great. The sweet filling combined with icing is a little bit too much. Service is always top notch, and definitely one of the best donuts in town.
You guys just lost a loyal customer. I used to come here about 1-2 times per monthI got up early to drive out of my way to pick up a couple dozen donuts from a local business for my weekend crew. After I park and am getting out of my car someone runs up, locks the door, and points to a sign that’s says “new weekend hours 7am - 2pm”.I understand you are probably short staffed and had to cut back hours. Everywhere has been doing this. However I showed up at 640 am, 20 minutes before the new opening time. You have three employees standing around talking inside. The donut case is already fully stocked. I could understand if you have one person running around trying to get things ready before opening or if I showed up 2 hours early. What’s really inexcusable is to make this change and not update the hours on your website which still states you open at 530 am on Saturday, more than an hour before I showed up.
I went based on a recommendation of a coworker. She was right. Rise & Roast has great donuts. Very light but fresh. Fast and friendly service.
This is my go to coffee spot. Doppio (double espresso) and a dark Mocha nearly every morning to start the day off right. Friendly staff and quick service.
I came in looking for a traditional maple bar and a mexican mocha. I had to explain that its just half coffee and half hot chocolate.Once that was sorted out, I picked out the maple bavarian and asked for a recommendation. I was recommended to try the glazed chocolate. Both were delicious. As was my drink. Its a great location away from traffic and the building is really open and inviting.Be sure to bring your pet with you as the staff love dogs.B was the best and Im sure glad she came out to chit chat about our pitbulls. It was a delightful conversation.
When they first opened everything was great. But my last few experiences have not been so good. The specialty coffees are poor quality for the price and customer is service lacking. 4 stars because the donuts are really good and the manager made it right and Corrected mistakes.
Im not sure why they are always out of every donut I seem to want. I went on a Friday morning and they were out of glazed! Not sure how or why a donut shop runs out of glazed donuts! I love them, its always a disappointing experience though. Great donuts, but dont count on them having what you want.
Came here before the show at the Air Force Base and I loved it! I just took a quick coffee to go but they gladly poured the coffee in my own cup (helping with the waste problem!!) and their donuts were the fluffiest, smoothest and freshest donuts I had ever had. Everyone had a smile on their face and it made for a great coffee and donut experience. Thank you!
I never used to drink coffee in the morning before I discovered this place. Their coffee is amazing and their staff is very friendly. This is the only coffee shop Ill go to now (not even Starbucks can top this - you didnt hear that from me though). ;p
I’ve been driving past this place for awhile and finally stopped in. I don’t regret my decision at all! I asked for a recommendation and they helped me choose a drink that was perfect for me. I also couldn’t resist the donut selection. Delicious! Will definitely be going back when I need a coffee and donut fix. Starbucks who????
Excellent! I love local coffee spots and they always make it so tasty here 😊
This place used to have the most amazing donuts I didnt mind the price but the past 4 times on a row they have gone way down hill what ever they changed they need to go back to the old way the donuts were way way better!
Delicious, just try it, we did and now Ive found my donut shop. I always eat just 1 sometimes 2 but this time I kept going back and ate 5!!! Soon good I love it.
Looking for the best donut in Albuquerque. This is the place. Stopped in today to grab donuts for my kiddos and support this local business. You can still go in and pick out what you want as long as you want wear your mask. They have a great assortment of different beverages and honestly you cant go wrong with any of their options. Today I tried out their chai latte and it did not disappoint! Make it a point to stop in! 🍩 ☕
Visiting from out of town. Please dont advertise cold brewed coffee on your menu. If youre just going to serve 6 hour old coffee over ice. Coffee was burnt and overly watered down due to all the melting ice. 24 oz for just over $4 is reasonable for cold brew.. not iced coffee. Would not recommend.
The absolute BEST donuts, anywhere! Yummy! We have visited Rise & Roast 5 times& each time...regardless of the size of our order...the cashier makes it a point to ask if we would like to add a tip!! The last time we went through, the young lady still asked if we wanted to leave her a tip even though we paid with cash! I again agreed but this time I only said 50 cents... the look on her face was priceless. I feel uncomfortable when this happens, it’s awkward. This places the customer in a position they shouldn’t be in. Are they servers, what I mean is, do they make less money than minimum wage? Is that why the request tips?? Even at the nice restaurants, I’ve never been asked to tip. It’s just done, and a much larger tip when the service is exceptionally well. We don’t get it.
First time visitor. Delicious iced latte, and the peanut chocolate long John was amazeballs.
Eh its alright. My bf loves the place but i cant order my drink here. They use instant chai tea granules and they just go down to the bottom of the drink. Will change to 5 stars from 4 if yall ever change that. 🖤
Very rude service. I was looking excited about trying out this place my mom recommended. I go in to order and it’s hard to hear or order with coffee beans being grounded. When I was having to repeat my self or ask the cashier to she was as getting very impatient and yelled the order back at me for not hearing her “again coffee beans being grounded” I canceled my order and left. Don’t know if the donuts are good or not but I simply won’t return because of rude service
I enjoy your coffee and donuts…but I have to say you drive-through is crazy slow! Unfortunately this keeps me from stopping in as much as I would like to.
Friendly, helpful and efficient service. Delicious donuts and coffee. They even give pup cups for your canine passengers. The only thing I would change is more of my friends need to know about this local gem! Thank you all for brightening my day ☀️
Fast service, good doughnuts, and a nice drive through. You can order ahead of time and get loyalty points, but sadly I fail to plan ahead when I want a sweet treat.
I get donuts here often, they are always delicious and their specialty donuts that change monthly never fail to disappoint! I also appreciate how clean they seem to keep their frying oil, it has never tasted bitter or too used.
Customers are cherrie pick if you are newcoffee was cold and zero customer service i will not go back
OMG GREAT DOUNTS. CANT WAIT TILL THEY OPEN UP HERE
Its my first time visiting Rise + Roast. I like the inside of the place - specious and cozy. Although they were not busy, I was greeted with a smiley face as I walked in, which was nice.As for the doughnut selections, a few options were missing from the case because I was there later in the afternoon. Since its mothers day, they have special shaped doughnuts - MOM - which are very cute. I told the person who took my order that it was my first time here so I wanted some recommendations. The other server and he told me that they would eat everything there, which I took this as a good sign for the quality of their products. I ended with a regular doughnut and a Bavarian cream filled doughnut. I came back home to see how they packed the doughnuts, they were separated by wax papers. Good job!!The texture of these doughnuts was very satisfying - chewy but soft. The taste was very sophisticated. The Bavarian cream might be my favorite because the contrast of sweet cream and bitter flavor of chocolate. The coffee was fresh and good as well. I could tell that the coffee that they brewed had low acidity because there was no sour taste in it.
Holy cow! My best friend and I did the drive thru and asked for the Donut of the Month with 2 black coffees. We both chose the Banana Pudding donut and I have to say, I wish I had taken a picture. Just thinking about it makes me salivate. And the coffee was amazing too! We will be back. 🤤
The food & service is always great. Even if theres a rush of people like today.
Me, my husband and my step daughter tried this place the other day and we cannot wait to go back. It’s a very cute little space, with very friendly staff. The donuts were amazing, so soft, and great flavor. The regular cup of coffee is a little more bitter than I’m used to getting at coffee shops, but still really good. We each tried something different and everything we ordered was so good. I can’t wait to try something else from the menu, and love that they have a drive thru.
Best coffee and donuts in Albuquerque, worth the 20min drive from my HM...
Great coffee at a good price. Their cinnamon rolls are also delicious and HUGE! I was very happy with my experience there.
Traveled through ABQ several weeks ago and needed to get gas at Costco and saw the other reviews, so we had to detour across the street. Excellent donuts, good coffee, great service. Ot is now a required morning stop when in ABQ.
Good prices, quick service. Ive only tried the dark roast but it has a good flavor!
More customers lost. Choosing to not supply another east mountain coffeeshop just because they already serve one in a neighboring town. Thats a shame could have made good money on that.
Wonderful little coffee shop. Saw them on Instagram and had to try them out! The house is a bold and full flavor coffee (didn’t catch what it’s actually name was). The caramel latte was sweet but not overbearing. Staff was fantastic and so helpful to us newbies not knowing what we wanted. Donuts were absolutely delicious and enormous. We wished there was more seating (only high top seating available) inside.
Delicious donuts, and fast drive thru service.
Best donuts I taste in a long time very soft chocolate was perfect
Great coffee, service from kiyana is poor.
Favorite donut shop in Albuquerque. Never disappointed.
Great serviceBest donuts in town
I think the best donuts in Albuquerque. You should stop by
Amazing flavors and try the chai frap it was spicy and full of cinnamon.
I love their donuts and their cold brew and the people who work there are very nice. However, please dont try and pass off the teeny tiny lemon lavender donuts that I received the other day without disclosing their minuscule size! I have ordered these before and have received normal sized donuts. This time I could tell as soon as I was handed the bag that there was hardly anything in there. That should have been half priced or something. When I went back through to order another donut, they offered to give it to me for free which was nice. I still paid for it to support a good local business, but I was just irritated that they didnt tell me how small the donut was the first time through! Still an amazing 3 or 4 bites though ;)
Great donuts. People are friendly and coffee is great. Drive through window, too!
Great people, great doughnuts
I love these local coffee slingers and donut pusher.
Very seldom do I leave 1 star reviews, but my experience left a bad taste in my mouth. The morning drive thru attendant was very rude and it is unprofessional to beg for tips at the window. If I feel like leaving a tip, I will leave one. I hate posting this review because the coffee is good, but I feel the management deserves to know who is causing unpleasant interactions with their customers.
The doughnuts are absolutely the freshest and the coffee was excellent and I didnt have to wait long at all..
Excellent donuts and great service ... but VERY pricey at $18.33 per dozen, a 15% increase in ONE DAY. Never going back. It didnt take long for CORPORATE GREED to choke its (former) customers.
Delicious latte and matcha at a fair price. Great service as well.
Everything here is delicious and the girl at the counter was super nice, helpful and friendly! Will definitely be back!
So happy I found this place! Absolutely delicious donuts and very tasty coffee. The drive thru made maintaining distance super easy. They had run out of one donut I had ordered online. I happily chose a different flavor (equally as tasty). I was surprised to find they had given me extra complimentary donuts. So kind and such a positive experience. Cant wait to go back and support this local business!
Very friendly highly recommend it In-N-Out within seconds in the Drive-Thru.
The donuts and coffee, lattes and mocha I’ve had here has been fantastic. Worth the trip and easy to get to.
I enjoyed my oatmeal and the filled donuts were popular with the coworkers
Its a lovely little shop with delicious donuts! Highly recommended!
They changed their donuts. :(
Staff was not friendly...robotic.Donuts were expensive and not to the staffs liking.2 stars for presentation
I love trying new local places, unfortunately I was very disappointed this time. My friend ordered an Apple fritter which had all of two pieces of apple in it. I got a London fog which was just so mediocre and boring. Not worth spending money here.
Great donuts but TERRIBLE customer service. Every time I come here they act like its an imposition to take my order or cash me out at the window. But, the drinks and coffee cant be beat. Soooo you win some, you loose some.
Very nice! Grabbed a dozen donuts and I loved the variety of donuts for the cost. Great prices compared to some of the other Donut joints in Albuquerque. Makes it work a 15 minute drive for sure. I love the Maple Bavarian!
Great little coffee donut shop! I really like that its an indoor / outdoor space and very modern. I got a tea latte and it was excellent, as were the donuts. Definitely top 3 donut places in Albuquerque. Ill definitely be back!Update: you must try the apple fritter 😍
Awesome coffee and doughnuts and always friendly service! Thank you
Good donuts, wide selecton, fair prices. Good to place to stop on the way in to Kirkland Air Force base for donuts and a coffee.
Ive been in Albuquerque for work for the past few months and this has become my go to morning stop, Great coffee, smoothies and donuts with a friendly staff.Wish I had one back home
Awesome doughnuts, well made lattes and drinks, with lots of options if you want your coffee special. All of the food is good and consistent. The website allows easy ordering and has rewards that add up pretty quickly. My co-workers have made R&R part of our regular routine.
Great coffee and service but the donuts are just OK.
I just ate the Maple Glazed donut and oh my goodness it was amazing. I took a bite of their Peach Cobbler donut and I am in heaven. These are the best donuts Ive ever had! I had to resist getting in my car and driving back over to buy a dozen. I might ask for these instead of a birthday cake this year :P
Mmmm, doughnuts ....Oh, you wanted more than that? Okay, fine.Rise and Roast has a great selection of doughnuts. A nice mix that includes both the traditional classics as well as some unique offerings and a cinnamon roll that is the size of your head. All are fresh and delicious. Their drink offerings include coffee and smoothie products, and are equally delicious. The drive through is efficient and has always gotten my order correct, and the online ordering pickup boxes in the front have proven perfectly suited to some larger orders and getting in and out quickly. The staff have always been pleasant also.
I wont make this mistake again! $4 for 2 chocolate cake donuts that were worst than Dunkin and an absolutely rude clerk.
My husband works near hear, and one time he bought me a smoothie. And oh my goodness it was amazing! I have had the ice coffee and the traditional hot coffee and both taste great. My husband and I come often and we love doughnuts too. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. We love coming here for coffee and a doughnut.
Very good donuts, insane coffee (and I mean that in a good way). They have many options for donuts, many of them with goop inside. Goop inside is just the best. Their coffee is nuts. It made me jitter in my office chair. Wow. I must have it again!
Best doughnuts in town! Like eating a cloud!
This place has the very best doughnuts and coffee in Albuquerque. The staff is friendly and attentive to the customers and the manager Ian is one of the best Ive ever seen. He and his staff have definitely risen above the rest. Id recommend this place to anyone looking for the best doughnuts and coffee in town.
Such good coffee and donuts! Locally owned and they really take care of their customers.
Always very fast service, good prices, but they got rid of their coconut milk option.
This place is good, you guys should check your dozen boxes though, the one I got was ripped almost dropped mine lol good donuts tho
$2 per donut and they werent any better than donuts anywhere else. Krispy kreme is definitely better. Girlfriend didnt even like the coffee that much, either! I guess they can afford to overcharge cause theyre so close to Sandia.
