This place is wonderful! Pulled up to the shop 3 minutes after they had closed, not knowing that they were closed because it was my first time, and they opened the doors and let me in and shop. No pressure to rush and they were very sweet and asked if I needed anything in particular. I didnt even realize they had been closed until I saw the time on the door when I left. Not only do that have incredible fabric and a lovely feel to the place, they have wonderful customer service!! Will definitely be back!
Gorgeous shop with high-quality, modern fabrics. The staff were very friendly and ready to help. The shop was clean, tidy, expertly decorated, and a comfortable shopping experience. Highly recommend.
Wonderful store, fabric, and staff. Visiting from Florida and loved all the different fabrics. Staff gave a tour of the store and very helpful. Clean, bright, and cheery.
I visited Stitchology for the first time last week. Needless to say it was wonderful! Melissa the owner has a fabulous selection of both quilting and garment fabrics which can be very hard to find. Her pattern selections are top notch for both quilting and fun garments. The employees are very kind and giving of their time and experience as is Melissa. The store is beautiful on the inside and the outside. If you are traveling on I 40 you must stop. If you live around or in Albuquerque you are very lucky to have such a great shop.
This is a great little fabric store. Theyve recently expanded into this location, and I love the wonderful selection of fabrics and notions. But the best part is the friendly, helpful people who work with you to make your project a success!
Very friendly staff, incredibly smooth ordering process online and picking up. Super-duper cute Japanese fabrics from a local business to keep me occupied during quarantine life. Wonderful selection of quality fabrics to choose from!
Lots of fabric to choose from! I have no idea if its more or less expensive than joanns, but its local and the lady there is really nice
Stopped in to check out the new space... lovely... well lit, well supplied, friendly care for covid protocols... a carefully curated selection of good stuff, not an overstuffed explosion of too much. looking forward to taking a class when that is once again possible.
The people at Stitchology are so nice. I shop online from Rhode Island and I love their selection and they are always so helpful. I wish I could go there in person, but this is the next best thing!
This lovely store has a great selection of garment and quilting fabrics, notions, and interesting patterns. The owner and staff are quite friendly, and have made extraordinary efforts to produce and distribute cloth face masks during the Covid-19 pandemic. I have been able to order fabrics online, and the owner has been responsive to emailed questions. Curbside Delivery.
Lovely store! (In new space) Spacious, friendly staff, extensive selection of unique garment and quilting fabrics.
When I walked in I was truly surprised at the selection in the store. By far it’s the beat fabric store I’ve seen in a long time. I’d love to take a few classes there soon
Stitchology is a wonderful fabric store! It carries a large variety of fabric, notions and sewing supplies. The front window is always decorated with an imaginative theme like Octobers Day of the Thread . The owner/staff are knowledgeable and helpful. Its a joy to shop in an independently owned fabric shop that offers service, product and SMILES.
Stitchology is my favorite store for all kinds of reasons! The atmosphere in the shop is fabulous and inviting. The owner & staff are part of the experience! Stitchology has an exceptional choice of up-tempo fabrics that suit my every need, from quilting and home dec, to garment sewing. The store owner has an amazing ability to combine fabric brands, design lines, patterns and color in ways that make my head spin, and her skill is simply admirable. I have partaken in several classes and find the store owner’s teaching ability on par with her design sense. Wonderful! There is simply something for everyone here.
Really tired of places like these being closed. Its time to open up again...
Small but mighty! I love the quiet atmosphere full of really lovely and adorable prints. I just leveled up to a new quilting machine and I am really looking forward to taking a class here.
This is the best place in Albuquerque to buy all types of fabric. The owner, Melisa, carries so many unique and beautiful fabrics that I am always in awe when I walk in the store. It doesnt matter how many times I go in, I know I will find something new that catches my eye. Melisa is so knowledgeable and can answer question I could possibly have. She has helped me make bags, a zip-up hoodie, pillow cases, and my favorite, a blouse made from her wonderful, adorable Heather Ross snail fabric. If you love fabric and love to sew, Stitchology is the place to go!
If you are looking for cool cotton prints for quilts or like me going for science is awesome fabrics for my kids back to school clothes look no further than this tiny shop stacked wall to wall and floor to ceiling with amazing finds. While you are looking through the endless prints you might find a great pattern or some sewing took you have ne er seen before. I especially liked the locally crafted sewing kits. Be warned, however, this is not a bargain store. The fabrics are new, high end, and on the pricey side.
Another great trip to visit my favorite Stitchologist!Always unique, designs found no where else, and very knowledgeable advice.Would not dare come to ABQ without a visit. Also most convenient to I-40 for travelers.
I always enjoy the classes I have taken here. I love there fabric selection. I think its very important to support small businesses for our community. I feel you get excellent customer service. If I have a question or in need of sewing tips or technique they have always answered to my satisfaction. They are always knowledgeable unlike chain fabric stores. I dont think its fair to compare small businesses to a chain establishment. This local business is purely Americana and I will always support .
Always a treat to come shop and browse at this store.. The owner and staff are knowledgeable and pleasant to be around... Melissa carries an outstanding variety of cottons and other fabrics and her selection of indie patterns is unbeatable... The inspiration abounds in this shop.
The young women really know their craft and can answer so many questions!! The class I took was amazing and we did leave with something finished I could wear. Their fabrics are a bit pricey but they do have ones I have never seen before! Please bring your business to this amazing store, they deserve to be in business here in Albuquerque for a long long time!!!
Good local sewing store. I went for the Tom Hirt hat-making class which is first-class.
I really enjoyed my experience here. Melisa was extremely helpful. I was trying to match/coordinate fabrics to go with panels I had purchased a couple of years ago. She helped me find what I was looking for and select the final products. Great store, with a great feel just up the street from Old Town.
They took the place of the goat of toy stores so not a fan
One of my happy places! Im new to quilting and the owner/staff are patient and helpful. Beautiful fabrics that warm the soul.
Beautiful fabric boutique. Was just popping in to pick up my Home Sweet Home row - fell in love with all the patterns and luscious fabric selection. Got the heads up on an upcoming fabric release party in 2 weeks too.
The store is full of great fabric and sewing notions.
I especially like the kid fabrics and she carries a nice selection of fancy buttons.
Stitcholgy is my favorite fabric store. Melissa and her employees are friendly and help me with questions regarding sewing tips or about fabric. I love to go in to see what is new and just like being in the store.
Great quilting fabric shop. Have fabrics here that are not like other fabric stores. Owner is very nice and helpful.
Ive taken two classes from the owner- Melissa. Shes only 30 and has owned the business for five years- what a success story. Im a 100% beginner sewer and took the Sewing 101 class and the Introduction to Garment Making class. Ive been completely satisfied. The classes are small, she is able to give the needed individualized attention to each person, shes patient (Im sure she gets frustrated, but she doesnt show it and never makes you feel like a fool), has the materials that you may need even if you dont have them with you. The store is lovely and has gorgeous, inspiring fabrics. I will continue to get instruction from Stitchology as often as I can!
As my mum said this is a “real” fabric shop with a great choice of material, all the trimmings and great service.
Jo-Anns gives you a more generous cut than this place, and thats saying something. I purchased the end of a bolt, there was barely an 1/8 of a yard left and it had a sample cut from it. The owner vehemently insisted she was not going to give me an 1/8 of a yard for free. I told her to just give me the 2 yard piece and keep the 1/8 yard. After re-measuring twice, she decided I could have the piece for the price of 2 yards. I already had two 4 yard pieces that I was purchasing. When I paid with 2 $100 bills, the employee yelled to the owner who was out of sight in the back of the store, Do you have a counterfeit pen to check these bills? Despite the nice fabric, Im not going back.
Great selection of cloth, and very friendly and helpful staff.
Amazing fabrics and the owner is fabulous
Love this shop and staff
Wouldnt really recommend this place. I stick to hobby lobby and Jo Anns fabric. She didnt know what she had in stock. And she seemed like she didnt want us in the store. If I could give this place a half a star or no star I would.
Unique items!
