Triple vaxxed, double covid infections past year so my immunity is the strongest. They still required me to wear a mask and I have a medical exemption for masks, they didnt care. This place is trash.
Super friendly staff. Great prices on filtered water. Good selection of local organic produce. Become a member for additional savings. I like knowing Im supporting a local business with my dollars.
Nice friendly staff. Clean store. Good selection.
One of the best places to find good food for my diet. Just wish I didnt get looked at like a criminal just because I open carry. Hey if you dont appreciate your 2nd amendment that is fine but why would you ostracize your customers for protecting themselves and you? (To clarify they only give me dirty looks when I carry so it is not some misconception of reasoning like liberals so commonly do)
So disappointed! Requiring a mask for the fully vaccinated? Come on man! Stop being science deniers! And when youre cashier makes snide comments about forgetting my cloth grocery bags? Im done with you lunatics.
Real good Products, very clean store. And a Hidden ATM 🏧 Machine in the back of the Store.
Awesome place. Healthy food and nice and courteous staff.
Stumbled upon this gem today. Excellent products being sold there and prices are reasonable too. Customer service seems to be a high priority as I was treated with dignity and respect. . . And with a smile too. I will keep going back and recommend you do too.
Well established local grocery store. Super friendly staff and customers.
Delicious chicken breast purchased in the deli!!! Sooooooooo juicy!!! Needed a protein boost!!!
Very nice Co-Op! Service is great!
Its wonderful. I love the coop, and of course they are practicing safe protocols. The 3 star, not 5, is because it is expensive. Extremely expensive. I am a long time member, have been shopping there for over 35 years and have been in different income brackets. I do not think they offer enough sale items or even very good sales when they have them. Right now, pandemic times, I am only purchasing coffee because their bulk coffee section is wonderful. When my income is more steady I do purchase organic vegetables, raw cheese, nutritional yeast, and bulk stuff. Im not a vegetarian but even when more flush/non pandemic times I do not purchase meats from the coop specifically due to cost. I am glad they are around, though - especially after a hard fought battle from a corporate hostile takeover! I will continue to support the coop as much and as best I can.
Good supply of Gluten free quiche crust.
While I do like the large selection of quality local items the coop offers, the customer service skills of the staff leave more than a little too be desired. Today, Joan, the checker asked for my member number and when i tried to give it huffed and said I cant hear you just give me the card. in a pretty nasty tone when they could have just asked me to speak up. I dont expect customer service people to pretend to be in a good mood if theyre not, but they should be professional enough to not project that bad mood onto their customers. If I have any advice to the management, its to either retrain your staff on customer service, urge them to go to therapy, or replace them.
Been shopping there for probably more than 50 years. Because I live out of town and because of the pandemic, I dont go often anymore, but I stock up big-time when I do.
I had a very friendly experience with alm employees. The food was fresh. There were interesting selections for each type of food on my list. I found some excellent crackers, chocolate, and tea.
Always friendly and lots of good food. Coop member discount is well worth. High quality products.
I do enjoy this place and it’s more of a convenience more than anything. I’m happy they have a water dispenser and adequate fresh produce. Things are a little over priced and I find natural grocers more affordable. I understand this can be a stressful time, but it’s not like the place is packed or super busy that people are overwhelmed. They have friendly staff but on the other hand you won’t know who you’ll get. There are days you’ll run into rude & condescending people. I don’t get it. I just go, buy my items, and leave.
Try the green chile croissant! Lovely place...... I felt like I was hanging out in Switzerland or Germany.
Great produce and high quality meat. Fresh salads, sandwiches and various entrees to go.
Best source of organic local food and an important community resource for many
Fun grocery store! Too expensive for regular shopping but great for a quick neighborhood walk or a specialty/bulk ingredient!
La Montanita. Fun place to shop. If you have SNAP they will double your bucks on all New Mexico produce. Spend $10 get $10.The produce is very nice and fresh. Many organic products to pick from. Many New Mexican produce to pick from.
Without a doubt a gem of a grocery store/market.With bulk foods, fresh organic produce and awesome snacks for all ages, this place is has almost everything you need.Bring your own bag and a smile. Plenty of local, organic and. Foreign brands will keep you scanning the shelves. If you are a local to NM then become a member!
Your Deli has 0 focus on members. They would rather argue with members and give members an attitude instead of making it a win-win and doing what theyre there to do which is to serve members and customers. You can keep it theres funny places I can spend my money
I love the place nice people
Extremely rude employees! All with a chip on their shoulders. Will not be shopping there again. Apparently customer service is dead. Loved the westside location. They were actually nice there. Too bad they made the poor decision to close that location.
Got some good cold press smoothies for breakfast
Great place, Covid aware, great staff. Best Veggie section in Albuquerque. Fresh, local, beautiful.
Great produce, great staff
Very awesome place to shop if you like organic.
Employees are always friendly and produce and meats are generally really good quality.
Love the selection of local produce, bulk coffee, and great deli.
This is a pretty good co-op. Its the only one in Albuquerque but it does have two locations. It has all the staples of the vegan, vegetarian, organics lifestyles. Plus it has plenty of local fare when available. It has more seasonal items than a normal supermarket so it has less items readily available but more variety overall. Ive been a member for years and will keep shopping for years to come.
Best local and organic food in town. Clean friendly with an attentive colorful staff.
I used to go to this store all the time and not sure what happened. Perhaps I am spoiled by Wholefoods awesome customer service. After coming back to this store a while back, I was shocked how this store has gone downhill when it comes to customer service. Some of the people who work there are just rude, condescending, and obnoxious. The prices are also outrageous, and I am wondering how they stay in business. I am so happy there are other awesome health food stores in town where they make an effort training their employees, but at the La Montañita Co-op Food Market - Nob Hill, it seems like the employees see themselves way too good to perform customer service for their customers.
The staff is always so friendly and helpful! I love how much local organic produce they carry. Shopping here helps support the local economy for real! And I love that. 💖🌎
Great selection and great staff!
I really like this grocery store. They have a wide supply of natural and vegan products. They have a large section in the back that is only vegan meat substitutes and products. They also label which products are local. BUT The main reason I wanted to shop here was because I was lead to believe by employees that they supported a zero waste lifestyle. They have a huge section of bulk items and I was elated to find them but when I came and brought my containers ready to shop I was told that was not allowed. I had to use a plastic bag. The whole point of ALL of this for me is to avoid plastic bags!!! It just is not worth it to get in my car, drive 30 minutes, pay for parking, and pay their super high prices just so I can use plastic. I can do that at Walmart for like 1/3 or 1/4 the price. Staff is super nice and I love their Strauss milk that is packaged in glass. I verified they still recycle the glass bottles. Their local soaps are a good price. But everything else is a no. I understand a lot of people are worried about COVID which is why I’m not angry. But COVID is a level 3 concern for me while the environment and saving money rate much much higher. So if I have to use plastic I can go elsewhere and save a LOT of money.
Love the variety and support of our local business suppliers and farmers. Thank you for providing healthy food choices, always available to our community. 🤗👍
High prices...service and ambiance has deteriorated...
Great local grocery chain co-op of medium- size. A bit pricey but more perks for members and the membership fee generally pays for itself. If you have cash this is a great place to support local, sustainable, and ethically sourced conventional and vegan food. No alcohol is sold here.
A little small, but it has a great selection!
Great service
I love the fresh local produce! Amazing deli. A place to feel happy and healthy and hopeful of the future.
This Coop never disappoints! I especially love their gluten free/vegan pastries and juices from the deli area as well as the lush variety of greens and alternative milks on hand. Prices are unbeatable for such good service and location.I do wish they would bring back the discount basket from the produce section though, didnt see it anymore the last two times I was there!
Love this place. They have a great selection of fresh produce, plus plenty of other organic & non-gmo foods. The staff has always been helpful in finding what I need. They often have sales too! Yes, many products are more expensive than traditional foods, but I expect to pay a little more for quality.
I go in regularly to buy CBD oil for a client. The older woman is usually very unfriendly and impatient and frankly it ruins my experience when I go in the store to browse products because when you ask a question or want information on a product the answers are short and pretty rude. I have even turned around and left when I have entered the store and I see her. I have not had any problems with any other staff. I love the store and the products.
Great market. On this day, however, there was a very minimal meat selection.
Wanted to order a sandwich but unable to get waited on in the deli even though person knew I was there. After being ignored for a period time just got a cold burrito in the fridge case. When I explained what happened to the cashier, that I couldnt get waited on, they didnt seem to care. When I asked if they had a microwave he said, in the deli. I told him I already tried that route. So I ate my burrito cold.Obviously Ill live but kinda of annoying neither the deli person or the cashier seem to care about customer service. They also dont post any prices on their sandwich board making one have to ask for each price. Making one hate to put anymore on the deli person than they apparently already have to do.Been shopping in coops since the 70 s.Think you guys can do better than this. Wondering if Ill even come back to their store.
Great staff. Good vibes. Great cake, deli items and fresh juices. Good value on sale items, AND they are worker owned and operated.
Love the organic succanet and soft cinnamon they sell in bulk there.Remember the hard cinnamon they grow here in the US is not healthy for you. The soft cinnamon is worth buying.
Nice store but high prices. The highlight for me - Chocolate Maven burritos and many items in the bakery are heavenly! They dont seem to have the gluten free baked goods quite right though - they usually have the texture of a kitchen sponge.
Generally pricey but good selection and good staff. Location is difficult to get in and out of...
My favorite place for organic, locally sourced produce and meat. Great service - efficient and friendly. On the pricey side, but joining as a member offsets some of the costs. Plan to park on side streets unless you get there before 9am, which is when the neighboring businesses open.
I liked the store and the products. However the staff was extremely rude and judgy. I would rather go to sprouts or whole foods.
Great co-op! Fresh produce and some nice prepared options at reasonable prices. And in a cool neighborhood, at that.
Great customer experience.
La Montanita has great produce, deli section and health & beauty sections. If you are looking for local, healthy food, this is a place to go.
Pros:Friendly staff!Great selection including only clean food (not alot of unnecessary additives/preservatives in the food hereUnique liquid bulk section where you can stock up cheap on any liquid - from hand soap to apple cider vinegar. Ive never seen this before!Great food, juice, and smoothie options made to orderCons:This is still a health food store, so the prices on most things cant yet compete with your everyday grocery store
Lousy foods at SKY HIGH prices. They also put out misleading ads then do the BAIT AND SWITCH. A fancy name does NOT mean good foods.
Great place. Great service. Friendly staff. As I am vegan, only wish is they did not serve meat but I understand the market economy.
Great spot considering all things and for supporting local business. Ive noticed sometimes the drink selection is just a bit lacking compared to the Rio Grande or Santa Fe locations.. but the deli kills it.
Great store
I like this place...its conveniently in my neighborhood. Prices are high and the deli can be really slow if you order a wrap. They need to carry beer and wine if your going to over charge on everything at least make it convenient.
A great place to shop with all your specialty food needs. vegan, gluten free, organic. they do accept EBT. you dont have to be a member to shop but it is affordable. kids get a free piece of fruit.
If you like being waited on by rude, smug, self satisfied, PC yuppies and paying $2.50 for one donut!!!, you will love this place. I wish I could give them 0 stars because I hate this store. Prices are truly a rip off. Having lived in San Francisco, New York, and Hawaii, I know a good co op from a bad one, and this one fails on every level. The Walmart in the war zone is preferable to this place. Ignore all the fake reviews (that were probably placed by co op staff).
Best lavender white chocolate gluten free scone ever 🤩 crumbly and sweet and addictive.
If youre looking for excellent organic produce and products, this is the place. My first choice for groceries.
Shop here first for everything local.Great vibe, fresh hot food, insane cheese selection and nice people.
I love the Co-op! Fresh organic local produce! Great healthy fast food for lunches on the go!
Lovely people great location. The sunset is very nice on silver. They support lovely businesses. A lovely selection of drinks, ice creams, and pies.
Great knowledgeable staff that helped me find a supplement I was looking for. An amazing diversity of products.
Love the vibe. Farm raised eggs are a bit less here and just as good as buying direct.
My favorite market to shop. Super convenient to stop in for a few groceries or beauty products. The staff has always been friendly and helpful.Ive heard rumors they are transitioning all staff to full time hours. I think that is a bad idea. I hope customer service does not falter when people become burnt out. Resist the hype of the 8 hour+ workday.
Constiantly great produce, hot food bar and sandwiches. The service is always great and very helpful I love shopping here... And Im an owner hahaha
Awesome organic grocery selection. A little bit on the pricey side.
Fast checkout and great variety of food, snacks, drinks, and natural products. ATM at the back door is super convenient!
My grandpa goes there alot and the employees are very helpful
Small local co-op with locations in Nob Hill and on Rio Grande Blvd. . Natural groceries, products, and deli. Bulk foods, bulk spices and teas and a few bulk liquids like honey, soy sauce, dish detergent.
Low on stock convenience location
Was near there but not there.
This location is good for the basics, but dont expect a huge selection of organic/fair trade/local options. Service is usually really good and the membership is definitely helpful.
Went in yesterday morning Sunday March 11 2019 me and my friend were treated terribly by the lady cashier who was rude as hell and mean. I almost expected her to say what do I want when I went to pay for my groceries. thx montanita for reminding me why I don’t come here that will be the last time Ever set foot or my friend in such a rude over expensive racially charged place
Great place. Highly recommend it
Great service
Interesting vibe, mix of industrial and natural styles. Very cool location
Best bulk in town, and they give you 5 cents back for reusable containers.
Helpful staff and well stocked! Offered options that covered a wide range of needs: low budget, vegans, wheel chair accessible through front entrance.
Beautiful clean amazing idems
Great store. All is organic. Great deli. Great staff.
Love this store. So many great brands you cant find just anywhere.
First stop for fresh locally grown produce, and other locally and regionally produced items. If you cant find it, ask :)
Great staff, good prices and loved the smoothies!
I would give five stars because I love most everything here...the local, organic food choices ❤ etc and the deli/bakery is superb but they have some really grouchy upper management staff, particularly in whole body. Its rather frustrating, but overall its a quaint store with amazing options!
This is such a cool and quirky local grocery store!
Fabulous service, cleanliness, and supply.
Great optiobs with. Great organic foods
