Came to this shop today to see about adding a sight on my smith and wesson M&P 9mm. The guy there was so knowledgeable about what i could do to have a sight on my pistol then i seen this beautiful 9mm Canik firearm that just called my name.. the guys in the shop were awesome cool people and they will see my face again for sure

The guys at RTBA are awesome. I visited RTBA for the first time last week to get my 1911 looked at by their gunsmith and to check out their gun inventory since my wife & I are looking to buy some conceal carry guns. Shawn, Mike and Jason were so helpful and provided such great customer service that it made our experience enjoyable. The plunger pin on my 1911 kept preventing my safety from disengaging and these guys were able to look at it and fix it on the spot. Talk about great, fast customer service. And Shawn took the time to share his extensive gun knowledge and show my wife & me several guns that well definitely be back to purchase. So thank you, RTBA!Im glad you guys are in the neighborhood.

From the moment my wife and I walked into the store, we knew we were in the right place. This is our first gun purchase. The staff was amazing! They made sure that we selected the correct firearm for what we needed it for (Home defense). Since this was my wife and I first gun purchase, we had a ton of questions. No matter If you are a novice or an expert, The staff was beyond knowledgeable, patient and overall great at pairing the customer to the right gun/accessories. I will ONLY shop for my guns at this place!

These guys were so cool as I brought in an AK from out of town which they had dealt with similar problems with other AKs. Fixed my canted sight on my AK and didnt even charge me. Definitely getting my side arm from them soon. Well informed and professional. Definitely recommend.

My 1st experience at this shop was today -**When you leave this shop it will make you want to go grab some beers and come back to hang out with the friendly staff and fellow customers**Looked around the shop as my transaction was being processed and noticed one of the ladies behind the counter going above and beyond with a new gun owner. Explaining safety, parts, and handling procedures in great detail with a friendly tone, I’m sure this will be another customer for life.Called before I came in to see if they had what I was looking for. The lady on the phone was super helpful so I made the trip to the shop. As soon as I walked in a gentleman behind the counter asked if I needed anything. I explained what I was doing and he helped me compare and make a decision best with my budget. While waiting for all the paperwork the conversation was casual and relaxed, the energy in this shop is super positive. This was my first time in the store and it will not be my last, I can’t explain what a relief it is to find a local down to earth shop.

First time coming to the shop after using a different one for years and getting tired of the poor attitudes at the other one. Tom gave me a call in the morning right after my order arrived to let me know I could come pick it up. When I got there I had to wait outside for a couple minutes due to Covid restrictions but Tom came right out to find out what I needed and by the time I got inside a few minutes later he already had my order ready for me. He was very pleasant and the store was nice and bright and spacious.I have definitely found my new favorite firearm store here in town. Will definitely keep coming for my future needs.

Staff was very professional, knowledgeable, patient, and helpful to a first-time buyer looking for a basic home defense tool. They stock all the essentials, such as the safe and cleaning kit I purchased in addition to a handgun, and ammo. They recommended an instructor who was outstanding. They dont try to sell you stuff you dont need. They use an electronic background check application which had some glitches but I got a printed copy in the end. These guys are first class. I highly recommend them.

Having recently visited nearly every firearms dealer in ABQ, I can say with confidence that the guys at Right To Bear Arms are easily the friendliest of the lot. Like any gun store staff, they obviously know more about the topic than most of their clientele; unlike some of the other places, they use that knowledge to actually assist customers. If you ask a question you are likely to to receive a helpful explanation, instead of a dismissive one or pressure to make an uninformed purchase. Found what I was looking for at about 65% the price I would have paid at two other local dealers who had the same item, and they even allowed me to start my purchase 5 minutes before closing on a Friday. A+

Im extremely disappointed in this place. Ive purchased a weapon from them in the past, so I thought theyd be my first stop for my next. In the past two weeks Ive stopped by twice ready to spend my money. They barely acknowledged me on both visits and made zero effort for a sell. I went up the road and was happy to do business elsewhere, which Ill stick to in the future aswell.

My husband and I went to 2 different stores before coming here and we should’ve just came here first! They are amazing. They helped us find a gun that was perfect for my husband within our budget range. Very nice a professional environment. Would highly recommend them to anyone.

The people in here are very friendly very knowledgeable. I needed some information on handgun safety lets just say. They treated me very well they were not snobby or Upper Crust being in that neighborhood. I will do business with them again like I said they treated me very well I have nothing bad to say about the people in there and I will be back again.

Called to ask about ammo and female was rude over the phone over a few basic questions. Went in to buy Ammo and not one employee behind the desk was wearing a mask or social distancing. Sportmans warehouse employees are wearing masks and not pretending that there isnt a Pandemic. The tinfoil hats were hidden under the counter.

We went in and got my wife a .45 Hi Point and were totally impressed by the guys in there who know what they are doing, and are good Patriots. Wound up buying a hat as well!! Thanks so much, will be back again!!

This is by far the best place in town. The staff is extremely helpful and very friendly. Their customer service is the best I have experienced of many of the shops in ABQ. Ive only been in once, so this may evolve, but based on that one experience, this place is great. The staff (Gayle and John) were amazing. Answered tons of questions and shot (pun intended) the breeze with me for ~1 hour. They were very knowledgable and offered me a lot of help on a variety of topics (ammo, ranges, laws, slings, optics). Gayle even offered to call some friends to get better answers on some things we were unsure on. Their prices are great. As a certified Vortex dealer, they offer the same low prices on Vortex gear as you can find anywhere online.My only complaint is selection. The store is relatively small compared to my favorite stores of the past, and they have a rather pitiful selection of ammo. Id love if they had more bulk ammo (a whole wall of it if possible) as thats the thing that brings me back to stores most often. They only have about 12 guns on the wall but lots of handguns in the cases. They offered to order anything Id like, but Id love if they had a much larger selection of everything. Hopefully theyre successful and can continue to expand. Ill definitely go back.

This is my goto store. They are friendly and knowledgeable. I go to them for everything. I would recommend them to anyone. Their prices are fair and competitive. All of the staff is knowledgeable and can answer your questions or know where to help you find the answer.

I went there when they first opened. I asked the owner to order me a rifle. He quoted me 1199. I went 2 weeks later to make a down payment and he raised the price to 1499. They had the rifle sitting on the wall. He also told me that he remembers some one asking for the rifle but was pretty sure it wasnt me. He told me that he would never sell the rifle that cheap and I must be confused with the military discount price, I showed him my military ID and he said the best he could do was a military discount of 5%. Which annoyed me more because he told me that military discount was 10%. I bought the rifle because it was in high demand at the time but I will never buy from them again. The owner is a used cars salesman. He is also the worst type of veteran. He will tell a vet he is helping them and will give them good prices just to raise them because he knows how hard it is to find a certain gun. Any retired or active duty should stay away from this place. The BX might not have the best or most knowledgeable staff but they are cheaper and they will not rip you off if you ask them to order you a gun. No point of contacting me you know what you did.

The staff took their time with my wife to help her pick out a pistol that fit her needs for personal protection. As for my AR, they had the best price in town. Great prices on ammunition as well. My wife and I were really pleased with this shop and will certainly do more business here in the future.

Nice friendly folks here! Clean shop in a good location. They were very helpful and shared lots of knowledge, even though they didnt have what I needed. I just wish their transfer fees werent so high or I would have happily used them.

Stopped by here last month. They do open/concealed carry classes on weekends and offer a military discount on gear and firearms. Ill for sure buy from them. Cool guys running the shop. Always happy to see people supporting veterans and active duty.

Man this place was awsome. The employees they are all nice, very respectful and took the time to help me find a gun suitable for me and my wife for home protection all in my price range. I didnt feel judged for my appearance in anyway or form like I did at Omni Arms. Im still waiting on my background check, but even if I get denied I strongly recommend Right To Bear Arms for a nice easy and pleasant purchase.

Great guys and great service. Eric built a lower receiver for an AR platform I built. Love the rifle. I did have a screw come loose and disappear but they took care of it for me free. Love these guys, cant wait to do more business with them.

Bought my first handgun and couldnt be happier with the purchase. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Answered all my questions and were very patient with my lack of knowledge regarding guns and ammo. The major plus for me is that my husband worked with Erik, one of the owners and he helped me with everything. Will more than likely purchase another gun and when I do it will be from this shop.
