Loved this place! Nestled in the beautiful town of Alexandria VA, and in perfect town location, we visited the AR workshop for team building. The studio itself is adorable & cleverly designed to capture & display the art of your experience. I chose the large Lazy Susan and with the expresso stain. I am definitely going back as their are so many other projects Id love to do! Katie, the owner, and her coworker were so attentive and patient to our needs in such a large group. Absolutely recommend whether it be alone, with group of friends or with coworkers!

So much fun! Went on a date night for a fun craft and glass of prosecco. Great activity for people who want to craft but dont know how - like myself. My fiance and I create a board for our wedding. Nice staff too! Thank you for a great time! Also, great location. Perfect for a pre-dinner activity.

I had a wonderful time here! I missed my original date that was scheduled with friends and they were great about rescheduling my workshop. Even though I went by myself I had a great time!I also love there little shop in the front! I bought a beautiful necklace that I love!I would definitely recommend having a date or party here!There was an adorable couple painting signs for their wedding, a fun group of ladies just having an afternoon together, and a teen birthday party. Everyone was having fun!

What Fun! The instructors were hands-on & gave great suggestions. Awesome project selections. Made an amateur look like an artist. Highly recommend for you; even better with a group.

Our experience here was fantastic! A big thanks to Michelle, Dana and Liz. They helped me create a custom design last minute. So friendly and so helpful! I highly recommend for a girls night or date night.

I visited AR Workshop Alexandria with a bachelorette party and had an awesome time. The staff was friendly, helpful and very well prepared. Everyone in the group left with a project they loved and enjoyed the experience. This is the perfect activity for all occasions!

Another great experience at AR Workshop Alexandria! I attended a small group party and all safety protocols due to COVID were observed by the shop. Katie, the owner, and two of the employees were there and they were all wonderful, not only in helping us with our projects, but just to chat with while we worked! I made a gorgeous (if I do say so myself) large Christmas Lazy Susan) and got tons of stocking stuffers for the fam in the cute shop. Maybe I also got something for myself. I highly recommend AR Workshop Alexandria and will definitely be back.

This is an amazing local shop! My daughter and I have been to multiple events and have enjoyed their DIY kits in this new stay-at-home world. The owner is engaged with the local community and always giving back and participating in community events. The staff are helpful, fun, and truly care about the experience they are making for the customers. This is a true gem of a shop in Old Town. ❤️

I hosted a private event here at this location, and overall had a great experience. The staff was great to work with and very helpful. One thing I will point out, is if you are holding a corporate event....please make sure to note that the projects can take 2.5- 3 hours to do! Our clients loved what they made and were super happy with what they got to take home. Thanks so much for a great event.

Make a cute sign for my newly renovated master bathroom. It came out so cute, it was a lot of fun and the teachers were great. Found out you can bring your own alcohol and snacks- score! I will def be back!

AR Workshop Alexandria is AMAZING! I have never been to such an up-scale and unique DIY studio. The staff is great and the quality and selection of projects is exceptional. You actually get to sand the wood, stain it and then you do your design which the owner, Katie, custom makes for you. The end product is gorgeous! Katie offers seasonal promos and encourages groups and kids to attend as well. Check it out! You will be hooked.

The staff is great, the individual attention is so nice and the final product is the best part. So nice to take something home with us and get to have a fun time out at the same time. Highly recommend!

I went to my first workshop last week. I went with two other girls, and while one of us had an error when registration, Katie and her team seamlessly got her materials ready and we all began the class. There was just enough instruction, there was always someone to help, and the staff is friendly, knowledgeable and always willing to help and answer questions. Before long the studio was a buzz with people doing their projects, good music and bubbly flowing. This is an absolute MUST for any local and even those visiting the area. My sign is proudly displayed at home, and Im going back tonite for some Christmas in July. Cant wait to pick out my projects for the seasons ahead. Drop everything and sign-up for a workshop! Thanks to Katie and her team for being such a welcome addition to Old Town.

I enjoyed doing crafts here. But our hostess was rude. I was disappointed with the lack of augmented reality despite the name of the shop.

Fun, creative, a bit expensive per project.
