Honestly great experience! For military and first responders they care,they really worked with me on my car, got it to a price lower then what I was thinking it was going to be.The best thing was how fast it was I was in at 2pm out at 6pm, test drive two cars and was keys in hand soon later! My husband and I bought a new car here over the weekend and we’re very pleased with our experience! Maria was super helpful on Saturday when I came in to test drive a Tiguan. She answered all my questions and had helpful suggestions throughout the process. We returned on Sunday to purchase the vehicle and again she was nothing but helpful. Providing us with all the information we needed to make informed decisions on financing and whatnot. She was not pushy at all. Cannot recommend Maria at VW Alexandria enough!! She even help me set up my phone with CarPlay before we left. We also had a newborn with us and everybody was super patient and accommodating with us needing to tend to his needs during the burning process.They don’t really haggle prices here so the price you see is the base price you will pay. And any discounts they give you are contingent on you financing through them. They gave us a pretty good rate but we ended up using a different lender and our payments were essentially the same without the discounts. They did give us a „new baby“ discount which was very thoughtful! Thank you again!!

Bought a car here. They aren’t pushy.But they also won’t haggle. Whatever the sticker is, they’re not going to work with you on it. So be prepared to pay the price you see.In addition, if you don’t use their financing you have to pay additional fees. I thought that was a little ridiculous but they had a car that we really liked so we went with it.All in all not a bad experience but had to jump through some hoops I wasn’t expecting to have to jump through.

Be prepared to pay exactly what you see. They dont haggle, but they arent pushy either. What you see online is what you get - for better or for worse. Overall, it was a solid experience, but I wish there was a little more flexibility in the buying process.

I was very pleased with Alexandria Volkswagen. I called Fred a couple of days before I traveled to the location and told him exactly what vehicle I wanted. He gave me his personal number and said to contact him the day I made the hour drive there, so that he could assure me the vehicle was there and hadn’t been sold yet. I ended up purchasing a different vehicle and could not be more happy with the entire process. Fred was thoughtful, patient, understanding, and NOT pushy at all. Do not go here for your next vehicle. I had a hard credit report run and they gave me 9% interest rate! And then had the completely unprofessional response of stating final rate depends on the bank. Its their financing! What a HOOT.Every other dealership I visited, who DID run my credit report quoted me at rate less than 6%. It is pure thievery to inflate an interest rate during a vehicle sale or worse, with just having a discussion regarding financing options, amount down, prior to coming to Any firm commitment to buy. Which of course,. I DIDNT. Just want you all to know they will steal your money
I bought my car in 2020 and the sales team at Alexandria Volkswagen was great. They have a lot of patience, they all work together and they honestly help you get a car. I highly recommend Sorrell and Sedeke Dunzo they are the best. I would like to give a special thanks to Alex in the finance department and the manger Nana, those 2 are so helpful and they never have any issue with answering all your question and they multi task so good, you wouldnt be able to tell they are working with 10 different people at 1 time. I went in to have service done (to program a new set of keys). I talked to julian around 8:30 am of the day I wanted to come and he was very pleasant. He was honest in his time estimates as they had a skeleton crew for the day. I showed up around 11:15 am and they were able to have it all done within 20 min. Julian was even more amiable in person, as was the gentleman (George?) who was next him on the desk. I can’t say enough good things about my experience. It was my first time dealing with this dealership, and hope to be the beginning of (not too) many more the future. :)

Maria Salimi was exceptional! I cannot thank her enough for the smooth and super efficient transaction - in one day! Let me give you the timeline. I searched and was interested in a car on Oct 13th, and made online appointment that night. Made the decision to purchase it the next day. Maria called at 9am on the 14th, told her I was really interested with the car and made arrangements to meet later in the afternoon. A call really early in the morning (onthe 14th) was what I was expecting. That shows an employee with good work ethics and commitment. I value that, more than anything else, and of course the condition of the car, which was superb. I have everything ready by 6pm, and went back happy with my purchase. I highly recommend that you deal with Maria for your purchase there. In fact, I also highly recommend that whoever is planning to get a VW car, go to this dealer. They are all efficient.

Expect a very used car experience. 1. Full tanks at purchase are for NEW car purchases only. 2. Don’t believe the car fax report. 3. Prepare to find hidden damages. Cracked windshield, busted front grill, broken passenger side mirror. Oil leaks with 3rd party engine repairs that void warranty. Electrical issues. Double check the usb drive for all related docs. Lastly, be sure to ask exactly what the extended warranty extends!
I traveled from Richmond to visit Alexandria Volkswagen. Prior to visiting I had contact with Bernie to set up a meeting time. He helped me test drive a couple SUVs and I purchased the perfect one. Bernie is a great sales associate - friendly and provided a comfortable purchasing environment. Very easy process! Vehicle inventory is good. List price of vehicle is only if you use their preferred lender. Prices are reasonable but the processing fee is a little high at $899. Daniel did a good job and was easy to talk to. I didnt like the fee that was added for theft protection for $199 but Daniel was able to get rid of it. Overall the process was fairly painless.
To start this dealership has to be far the worst dealer to negotiate on a car. I called for a car that I was interested in since I’m on a budget to buy a good condition car, and the sales people and managers kept telling me “no we can’t negotiate on a used car” that was almost $18,000. So basically the owners of Volkswagen don’t like making any deals with anyone. So like I said till they fix that policy I ain’t buying a car from them because I’m not paying for the price they want. I want to pay for a car that I fell comfortable at a price range.

I never write reviews, but my experience here added insult to injury. I had to deactivate my car key after an armed robbery, which I informed the man in the service center numerous times. I also requested my 50,000 mile checkup. He gave me a quote that was $500 below what they charged me. When I informed him that his quote was misleading, he patronizingly told me in a very rude tone that he was sorry I didnt understand what was happening. Ripping someone off after they were robbed is low, but proceeding to be rude and patronizing about a miscommunication after the fact is outrageous.

I came in for a low beam light bulb service, I was told it was going to take a couple of hours. My appointment was at 8:45am, I did not leave until 2:15pm. I had to initiate the multiple follow up as well with the service consultant, asking how much longer it was going to take. This service should not have taken five hours to complete. Also had to ask other employees about the status of my vehicle because the person I was dealing with wasnt at his desk very often. I was only compensated with a full detail service because I did not have time for them to wash my car which was apparently included in the service. While I was waiting, the service consultant seemed to have involved with other disputes/ heated conversations with customers while I was there so that also leads me to think that this employee may have issues with customer service. He actually wasnt the person who offered the full detail, I had a phone conversation with the manager and he was actually the person who gave me the full detail compensation. I will not be coming back to Alexandria VW to get my car serviced.

She kept me informed and walked me through the service process to make sure I understood everything regarding my vehicle and potential options to fix the issue. My experience here was very, very sketchy.Bottom line: take your business elsewhere.Longer version: I spoke to a sales rep and then a manager multiple times over the course of 4 days about 3 specific vehicles I was interested in purchasing, the 2.12% APR advertised on their website for qualified borrowers, and their pricing. I used the “check availability” and “get e-price” feature on their website for several vehicles and was contacted almost immediately. I was first given information about monthly payments on a term longer than the term I specifically asked for, which was misleading. I corrected their mistake and we continued negotiating. I then asked multiple times for information about their offer in writing so I could make a final decision, and said I was ready to pull the trigger but obviously needed the final price and interest rate details first so I knew what I was agreeing to. I was told they would not provide any information in writing confirming what they’d negotiated with me because they did not want people shopping around. I was also told over the phone that 3.9% APR was the best they had available for any customer, and if you didn’t finance through them they charged the MSRP rather than the $2k lower advertised “Greenway Price” for the vehicle, despite them specifically advertising 2.12% online for the lower priced vehicle. They did not honor the advertised rate even when I sent screenshots of their website. I also asked them to hold a car for me for 24 hours (as their website says they can do), and the sales rep said he couldn’t unless I completed a credit application. So I did so. I was already frustrated with the lack of professionalism, but they were the only dealership in the DC area with the specific vehicle I wanted, and I wanted to reserve it. The dealer ran a hard check on my credit. Today, the sales rep called me to talk again about the car I wanted. I provided the stock number and other details and asked about specific features and price of the car. He said it was still available. I assumed it was on hold for me given my credit pull and specific request that it be held. I went to the dealer an hour later. When I got there in person, they did not have the car they told me to come in to see, nor did they have my second choice. In fact, first I was told the car I came to see had been sold, despite me asking to put it on hold after applying for financing, and then I was later told it hadn’t been sold but wouldn’t be available until at least 4 weeks later. When I complained about them lying to me, they were completely unapologetic and unprofessional, and the sales rep lied again and told me I hadn’t asked about that car (which is absurd — I literally have notes from conversations about that car from when I inquired about it’s features and had provided them with their stock number for it in order to ask these questions). It also turned out they did in fact have the 2.12% APR I saw online, but the manager the sales rep had been working with was unwilling to give it to me. Don’t shop here. This dealership will waste your time and lie to you.

Daniel made it really easy for us to get a car without pretty much any waiting. With the supply chain issues it was really refreshing how easy they made it to have a brand new Jetta.
Generally, the staff were kind and courteous when we walked in. I test drove the model I was interested in and liked the car. However, after I told my sales representative I was interested, he started heavily pressuring me to get the car right then and there. For me, getting a car is a major decision and I wanted to get a better understanding of the numbers and maybe sleep on it before making a decision.I asked for clarification about the relevant numbers and my sales representative said he couldnt tell me unless I agreed to get the car. He then made comments in front of us to other coworkers saying its fine these people didnt come here to do business. He looked visibly upset/annoyed that I wanted to discuss the prices in more detail.maybe the hard sell tactics work on some, but it came off as rude and unprofessional to me.

Absolutely impressed with Alexandria VW, and more specifically Daniel, who helped us. He was extremely friendly, and seemed just as genuinely excited about me buying my first brand new car as I was! He wasn’t pushy and didnt make you feel like you’re getting ripped off. They did actually have the lowest prices on the new Taos than anywhere else in the Metro DC area and while we decided to not take their financing offer and that caused the pricing to raise, it was totally a breezy experience. It took us less than 2 hours to look over the car, test drive, go through pricing and and all of the finances. Definitely a great place to buy a car. From the moment I spoke with Daniel, through the whole purchasing experience I would say this is the best car buying experience I’ve had!

Very non-responsive about concerns. We bought a certified pre-owned car. Which means they allegedly made sure every little detail on the car was in working order prior to selling it to us. We made sure beforehand that the rather significant chip in the windshield would be fixed if we bought the car. They “fixed” it but it is still very obvious and looks likely to crack again. Even the man there at the time acknowledged it wasn’t fixed all of the way, but we were told we were “lucky” enough it was even “fixed” the first time. I’ve tried to contact them numerous times regarding this issue and nobody has followed up. If they couldn’t fix it, they should have replaced it. It was “certified” so I’d think that would hold some meaning. Do not buy a car with ANY hopes that they will hold true to their promises. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. (This has been ongoing for two months)

This dealership is very disappointing. I was interested in buying a car at a price almost $16,000 and I asked to atletas drop it a little down to a better price or negotiate. But I hate the fact that the owner and the managers here are not willing to negotiate with customers on used cars. I understand they are trying to run a business but the customer is always right and if I want to buy a car I want to at least negotiate. The manager name Chris also was like yea I been doing this for almost 20 years and it doesn’t matter how long you been doing this type of work, because at the end I’m still a customer coming in buying something from y’all. I found a used Highlander that was what my wife wanted. I ran to Alexandria VW on a Sunday, because I knew it would not last. I was able to get in touch with Dean Reyes on my way there to ensure it was still available. He had the car ready and waiting for me. Others in the dealership gave me some cold water on the hot day. I was able to buy the vehicle at a fair price. Dean walked me right through the process in just 2 hours even though they were very busy. A great experience and a very happy wife. Just another typical used car dealer. I bought an Audi A5 from there. I was pre approved from financial institute they work with however During the sales process they increased the price $1000 because it was not their preferred financial institute. Their financial institutes APR was 2% higher. when i was picking up the car i mentioned that the back tire looked almost flat. they said it normal for these models. Well, after 0.5 mile drive I got the low pressure tire alert. Lost another 30 minutes. they gave me only one key. than i realized that bluetooth and the microphone is not working in the car. they just told me to go to an audi service!! Will never ever recommend this place

The car salesman I dealt with and represented Alexandria Volkswagen was a guy named George. When I arrived at my scheduled test drive, the first thing he asked me was about the method of payment and what my budget was. I explained to him that I was paying cash and my limited budget. He didnt seem to be interested as much after that and in fact as we were test driving the car, he was on his phone most of the time and barely answered any of my questions.The vehicle I chose was well priced and with the current situation of the car market, the lack of inventory - I had to not let Georges lack of decorum stop me from moving forward with the deal. As I was waiting for the invoice, he came back to me with a piece of paper that showed the total cost of the vehicle which was right about where I expected it to be. I then reminded him that I was paying cash and at that point he told me that the price on the paper, is if they finance the vehicle and further explained that it would be an additional $1000 if they did not. So at that point I had to walk away from the deal.Unfortunately, such a reputable organization is represented by the likes of George that seems to be taking advantage of the market is disheartening and I hope that this will never happen to anyone else in the future.

Our salesperson was very knowledgeable, personable and efficient. Actually helped us get the used car we drove up from Harrisonburg to see; even as other potential buyers were walking into the dealership to get it. The electronic purchase documentation system in use by the business office was also a real plus for efficiency and time saved.
I have been looking for a mid-size SUV for a few months now and decided on a VW Atlas Cross Sport. I bought a car from here but was not very happy with the overall experience so I will state only objective observations: worked with Sorrel about the purchase, visited two times.Our conversations combined was shorter than a phone call I had to order my wifi. He spent most of his time on his phone, calling for his personal matters while we were on the ride, even got my contact information wrong when I called about my purchase. The first time I visited, he literaly give me a sheet of items and tell me to come back when I have all of them and walked away with his phone. A bit challenging to communicate. But everyone else I met there were quite friendly.The seond issue I had is with car quality. Right after I drove my car away from the site, I receive a tire low pressure alert. I took the car to Audi for inspection, the pressure thread were 1,1,3,7 (3 as the bare minimum safety threshold, 6 as recommended quality) When I called over and send the inspection report, they patch me around 5 different times, claiming that I need to contact a different apartment. And the one person who them tell me to work with (used car manager) would not pick up my call. I left a voice message, 24 hours later still no response. So I will ask two questions: Are these issues common among your used cars and should you have screened these issues and fix it before sales?
I was casually looking for a used Golf SportWagen, and Alexandria VW had one with great specs so I went to check it out. Bernie helped me take it out for a test drive and I fell in love. It was in amazing condition and the price was unbeatable. I couldn’t pass it up! Everyone I worked with made the buying process friendly, transparent, and effortless. (And I love love love my “new” car!)
This dealership by far had the most options out of any in the area. Lots of good options, we were able to get a good deal on a VW Jetta thanks to the salesman Dean. Wasn’t pushy and was very helpful. Definitely would go here the next time I want to buy a car.
