I have been buying paint here for 15 years. The service is EXCELLENT. An example from last year: I had a gallon of high-quality paint that I had purchased there 9 years prior, but had never opened. I took it back to them and asked them if it was still good. They opened it, strained out the rust, shook it, and declared it good as new (and it was). They charged me nothing for this service. Their design services are great as well!

From the minute we walked in we were greeted and asked how they could help us. From there Jose took our order, mixed up 30 gallons, and brought it out to the car. We had some issues locating our account and he went above and beyond to ensure we got all of the paint we needed. Great products, customer service, and prices.

Pleasant but poor service. Sure, a second coat is good for durability, but this will cover in one coat. It wont. Your order will arrive on Tuesday by noon. It doesnt. Someone will call you as soon as your order is here. They dont. Either time.

This is the only place to go in the Alexandria area for quality paint and supplies. Very helpful and quick service.

I went in the store to look for 3 specific paint colors for a project I am doing for school, and the lady who helped me was so sweet and kind! She not only helped me find my 3 paint cards, but she also gave me the actual paint chips, and a lot of booklets to help in the future! I highly recommend this place!

I am a historic restoration buff who lives in a 220 year old house. I needed some extremely glossy paint for the front door. This store had everything I wanted. It had an excellent selection of Fine Paints of Europe and Farrow & Ball. None of this material comes cheap but they knew what they were talking about. I will return hear for specialty paints and brushes.

It looks like they have great stuff, but no prices indicated and staff is too busy to help. Customers lined up waiting. Its probably great but I waited 15 min with no acknowledgement.

If youʻre looking for really good paint and extremely helpful assistants, go to Potomac Paints in Bradley Shopping Center. We recently renovated our home in Alexandria and with the help of a colorist, we found that choosing and buying paint was never easier than it was at Potomac Paints. Use your local independent paint store like Potomac v. big box (Home Depot, Lowes, etc.) You wonʻt be disappointed.

Potentially someone at this store is an expert with paint and interiors, but many Potomac Paint of Alexandria employees who interact with customers answering the phone, placing orders, checking out, and, most importantly, assisting with non-refundable orders placed in error by employees, are incompetent when it comes to customer service (or reasonable conversation). Ive had multiple completely outrageous experiences at this store and will look elsewhere in the future for high-end paints.

Pricey, but Ive always thought Benjamin Moore is great quality and a good value. Plus the staff is always helpful.

Benjamin Moore Aura is good paint but the reason I go to here are the high end options: Farrow & Ball, C2, and especially Fine Paints of Europe. It takes more practice than latex but Fine Paints of Europe Brilliant Hollandlac is the most beautiful and long-lasting product on the market. Stick with the pre-mixed colors for the best results.

Lots of selection. Clean and organized. The designer in the store very helpful. Will do business again.
