Spacious and clean whole foods market. They have good variety of fruits and vegetables. They also have great bakery products including cakes. The hot bar here serves good variety of products including Pizza. They also have setup space both inside and outside the store for customers to have food and they are kept very clean.
Weve gotten grocery pickup here several times doing prime weekend hours, and have never had to wait more than three minutes. Plus they almost always have every item we select or they give us a great substitue. We go out of our way to go to this Whole Foods because its always been a good experience. The only downside is the parking lot. It wasnt built for the volume of traffic it receives, and theres only one row you can enter/exit on. Thankfully the pickup spaces are on this row, so you dont have to mix with the other traffic. Ill still give it five stars though because the service is so great here.
They have this sign up everywhere in the beauty, vitamin, supplements section and yet only one that are on sale are the one that has sale sign on it. It confuses customers and I believe they are doing it intentionally. I even had item scanned and told me it would be discounted afterwards but learned that it didnt do that and end up not buying everything. Emplyees gave wrong info about the discount program and told me everything here is 25% off from discounted items. This is nothing but false advertising and scamming customers. Look at the supplements picture one sale sign, which I try to buy but wasnt discounted. You go and try this for yourself.
The produce, meat, and cheese sections always have lots of options with great quality. The online vs inside stock doesnt always match up, so call ahead if youre going for something specific. Our family loves their sushi, lobster bisque, and soft pretzels. It can get really busy around lunch time, but early in the morning or mid to late afternoon isnt bad.
I wanted to give a shout out to EJ in the butcher shop . The guy was by himself with a long line but still managed to be energetic and personable. He got everyone take care of quickly and made everyone smile. Great attitude!
It seems that the meat department has much less of an assortment than in the past. I miss the fresh bison. The fruits and vegetables seemed to be the same quality as those displayed in the local supermarkets.
We all know Whole Foods has an incredible selection of high-quality grocery and specialty items - but did you know about their pickup and delivery by Amazon?Today I dropped off an Amazon return at Whole Foods at Avalon. They scanned my Amazon return QR code from my phone, printed a label, and said we’ll take care of the rest. This was the easiest, friendliest, and most convenient return. You can even have some Amazon orders shipped to this location. Your package will be placed in a locker, and you will get a code sent to your email to open it.I highly recommend this location for Amazon orders and returns.I’ll do a review on other parts of the store in the future.
Going to Whole Foods is actually more of a treat for me than a grocery shopping chore. They carry really cool items and brands you cant find in other grocery stores. I dont live that close but used to work across the street. I could run over and grab prepared food from the hot bar. Its a little pricey but enjoyed the convenience and selection. There are tables where you can sit to eat. This reminds me... I should go more often.
I buy, my run-of-the-mill -Brand 365- vitamins, at Whole Foods; better than acceptable quality; constant quality; one gets, in return, your monies worth. At AVALON: Rt. 400 at Exit 10, NW quadrant.
The biggest THANK YOU to Allie who helped make our shopping experience exceptional!!! We were taking a bold step to make our own charcuterie board for our anniversary dinner. Excitement turned to daunting when we saw all the varieties. Allie was so sweet and helpful. She even got us all help when she didnt have the answer. The flavors paired wonderfully! Thanks again Allie!
Overall good experience. We only used a food court salad and not a food salad bar for lunch. I was hoping for a hot afternoon regular coffee after the meal, and unfortunately, this was mission impossible in the pm. The cold brew was good but not my initial request.
I enjoy going to this Whole Foods. It is kept very clean and well organized. The employees are considerate and helpful. We enjoy the hot food bar and “take out” options. The fruit and vegetable selections are plentiful. I highly recommend this store.
Charged for Order Never Received! Messed up My Sons Birthday Cake!I had a very disappointing experience at whole food Avalon. I ordered a cake for my son’s birthday. When I tried to check in for my husband to pick it up, the system showed nothing. I called them, and was told that the cake would be ready. When my husband went to pick it up, they said that they could not find the order. He ended up waiting for half a hour, while I was also put on the phone for half a hour. They didn’t have the cake we ordered. They decided to give us a smaller and cheaper cake for free. They said that they have not charged me for the cake I ordered. I told my husband that it is true we have not paid for the cake. Two days later, I got an email from Whole Foods saying that the order is complete. My credit card was charged for the original cake we never received. I should have just got a cake at Kroger or Publix instead. I did call the customer service. I was told that they will send me an email immediately. I have to take a screenshot of my credit card statement to get the refund. Really, all these hassle? I have not received the email. I am just going to post this review everywhere, Yelp,…., so people won’t have to go through this hassle to get the birthday cake for their kids. I finally called my credit card company and disputed on the extra charge (the difference between the cheaper cake and my original order). It is not about the money, but principles on customer service. I have never had experience of being charged for some goods I never received out of my whole life, except this time and once with Aliexpress from China during the pandemic last year. Really surprised for a retailer like Whole Foods, which is supposed to have high end service. Low end retailers won’t even make a mistake like that.
I shop at this Whole Foods very often! I love the Vegan options and the staff are usually very helpful and kind. One issue though: When I visited this location sometime last month(March), the lady working the pizza station was cleaning her glasses on her apron with her cooking gloves on 🤢 It’s VERY unsanitary and I couldn’t believe she did that, but she also seemed like she didn’t want to be there and people like that usually don’t care so yeah..It was an afternoon shift.Other than that, I love it there.I just wanted to add that I’ve always had great experiences here and I’ve enjoyed the hot foods as well. That one issue did not cause me to dislike this location as everyone else seems to take sanitation serious. For example, there was a couple who did not put on gloves before attempting to fill their to go containers at the hot foods station I was at and a Chef walked by & reminded them to make sure they have gloves on before touching any of the hot food utensils and items. That was super cool and a huge relief. This was about two weeks ago. Also, the staff in the Wine section know their stuff & always recommend great options! I found out they have Organic Wine today and didn’t even know it lol
My first time in this store location,it was awesome, very pretty and lay out was outstanding! They have everything food, wine, food bar, seafood, bakery, cosmetic, deli, floral, just to name a few item! A must see whole food market! I love sweet, that chocolate cake was to die for! Cant wait to return! Customer service was also good!
I love the buffet. Really good choices
So refreshing to shop at. I wish we had one near my house in Alabama! Id shop nowhere else.
Nearly all the blackberries were moldy. I chose the least moldy ones but still ended up some mold. For the price you pay, this shouldn’t be the case.Cashier was too busy flirting with the next two girls in line and forgot to pack the chicken I bought. I didn’t catch the mistake until I got home. The shopper before me, cashier forgot to take their payment for goods. Had to wait for him to chase them down in parking lot.First time back in a grocery store since March 2020; not impressed.
In few whole foods they make fresh juice in front of you, it’s missing in this store
Sitting in the coffee bar, the tables were gross, so sticky that the wipes provided at the “table cleaning station “ (whoever heard of that???) could not remove 😩 . The barista did not know how to work the register and charged us for someone else’s drink. He could not refund the money, told us all refunds had to be done at front desk.
This is a new location its a good size not as big as the location on state bridge rd, the store was fully stocked, just missing deli meats they usually carry from the deli counter, the produce section was a little confusing with mixed in organic and conventional items More conventional than organic, good seafood selection had items on sale, meat department was fully stocked and had a good variety typical meats, fair prices the cheese, olive and pickled items section was okay a little pricey for the olives but the cheeses were all different varieties at diff. Prices, the hot bar had a lot of variety and even had pizza by the slice, the bakery at this location is pretty small and I dont remember seeing ice cream section like the states bridge location. they also have a build your own taco and burger section at this location! Overall this might be the best whole foods within the metro Atlanta area.
I love ordering online and coming to this store!Today, there were two customers who did not have masks on. They really handled the situation as best as they could and eventually had to escort them out because of them being non compliant. Thank you for caring about the health of your employees as well as your customers. You guys are amazing!
Great Food, Hygienic Freak. Health Conscious, Superb Quality Groceries etc. Great for Family and Friends👌🏽
I Just Cannot Say Enough Good Things About Whole Foods! They Are An Amazing Company! Amazon isThe Parent Company of Whole Foods and I love AllThere is about Amazon. The Whole Foods MarketStores are seemingly always Full of Shoppers andThat makes the shopping experience all the better!Good Healthy Food and a Multicultural AtmosphereMakes Whole Foods Market the Place To Be!
Plenty of amazing vegan options and friendly, helpful associates!
Higher quality produce in most cases, and worth the difference in price in some cases. Ive been shopping here regularly since they opened. No substantial difference to date after the buyout. Never seen the electric vehicle parking occupied, which leads one to wonder their value, or perhaps its marketing.. but at the expense of the shopper and up front parking. Many who shop here are fans of whole foods, and not so much of Avalon.
Its nice to have a store filled with organic or all natural products. Prices are higher than other store for organic foods but at least you dont have to read every label. The meat section is great and every steak we get here is excellent. We also like the fresh breads. Even though they are not at the European standard its significantly better than anything else around.I was not impressed with the coffee or the cakes. The cakes look wonderful but could use a major overhaul. Too sweet and missing the crisp flavors of a high quality cake with a moist finish.Still for those that care about the quality of their food from non gmo to nitrate free Whole Foods makes it easy.I noticed the latest 2 reviews about parking. It is a problem. The parking is over enforced as many Avalon shoppers park at Whole Foods and take the parking spots. Booting cars is a dirty (and possibly corrupt) business but I think they are trying to tackle a major parking problem of keeping spaces open for customers. I will edit this review since my mom lives in Avalon and i am there often.Edit:Been a year and booting still happens. Also the electric chargers broken. It’s amazing that the electric charging is free but it looks really bad when they are wobbly and broken.Cakes and breads are better and not since amazon owns them 5% cash back with my prime card. Woot.
Good place with a large selection of items. Enjoyed the layout and the staff was very helpful and friendly
Nice buffet selection for lunch. Its slightly on the smaller side, have seen better ones
Too pricey for what I am looking for. There prices are even higher than Publix.
Love $3 pint night at Whole Foods!
Great selection of organic fruits and vegetables
Great selection of fresh proce, good service. Just a bit pricey.
It was our first time back in a while since 2020... Things seem to be back to normal for the most part. Im glad I can get my food from the hot bar and eat inside now...-Home Dryer Solutions Company
I do not shop here a lot for groceries, but we come quite frequently to get dinner. Their buffet selection has a lot of variety and quite good. There are so many selections you can literally come every single day and get something different for a few weeks. They have large tables for you to sit at and enjoy yourself. Make it a date night at Whole Foods one time. I don’t think you would regret it
Great place to shop. Everything is always fresh.
New to the Atlanta area, I was thrilled when I found the Whole Foods Market in Avalon. It carries so many foods that I had been looking for since moving here as well items I never expected (e.g., the gelato bar). The store is bright and clean. The staff are visible and friendly. I love it! As noted in some other reviews, it can be pricey but that is most true for the organic produce, which tends to be expensive everywhere. I highly recommend it to supplement the basics you pick up at your regular supermarket and for fresh carry out meals.
My favorite Whole Foods location!!
I love this location!!! My first time coming here and the lady that works where the supplements are located helped me out a ton. I not only got what I needed but she made me aware of the promotions so that I could save money. When I went to the check out the cashier and bagger were amazing!!!! Then smiled and were extremely patient with me as I pulled up my amazon prime scan code. I will drive an hour just to come here for sure. They also had the spelt flour Id been looking for. The trip was well worth it!
Not my place. Worth a try to judge for yourself.
This Particular whole foods is right across the street from the Avalon. It has the hot bar which they are now packaging up or have their associates scoop the food because of covid as well as two or three places you can order food. They seem to be well stocked in things like toilet paper and paper towels but understand youre going to pay high prices. They also have the Amazon prime feature when you shop here.
Wonderful choices.. Excellent service
Always clean with a super friendly and helpful staff.
Too criwded. Nobody following one way signs. Signs confusing. Expensive. But large selection of some amazing products.
Horrible. I went there at 8pm tonight to pick up 3 items. I get to the checkout and they had closed the self checkout and had 2 registers open with long lines of large orders. Several employees walked by me and saw I had three items at the end of long lines but no one of them offered to help. What should have taken me 5 minutes took 30 minutes. This store does not care about customers.
Mixed and inconsistent experience. Depending on day, produce can be good or terrible, reasonable or expensive. Avoid baked all baked goods, they are consistently terrible. The prepared food is expensive and cafeteria quality. Most staff are courteous, helpful and friendly. includingcustomer service. The store is basically a hodgepodge and checkout aisles and approaches cluttered. The new self checkout leaves many confused.Sounds like a one star review but I like Whole Foods and want it to be there for the things that bring me there.
Great store with large area for prepared foods, high quality produce, fish and meat. As Amazon Prime customer additional 10% savings on sale items are available via the app.
Always something wrong when ordering from Amazon. I have to assume my Amazon delivery order is coming from this store because it is the closest one to my house. While its convenient for someone to deliver to me (though I tip generously) whoever actually pulls the stuff and packs my order always gets something wrong... and I always say no substitutions. Totally frustrating because it happens every single time Ive ordered... and I dont order for delivery that much for this very reason. But sometimes I am desperate and cant leave the house... It is something I come to expect from Whole Foods Market.
Very satisfied with the variety of organic and non-GMO produce and grocery items. Also gluten free items. Butcher shop always has great choices too.
Love love love whole foods
I placed a special order with Alberto at the Avalon store to get 14 cases of our family’s favorite Peach Salsa, which is only available in Georgia Whole Foods stores. We had recently moved from Georgia to Florida and the local Whole Foods stores in the Palm Beach area said they couldn’t get this Salsa that we’ve been buying for over 10 years from our local Whole Foods in Alpharetta.Once in the Avalon store we arranged to have them picked up by a courier company and delivered in Florida for a special family celebration. Alberto was extraordinarily helpful and took care of everything. Thanks to Alberto and Tom and everyone who helped with this.
We like pizza from whole foods.
Well maintained. Great selection of Organic Products
Great quality veggies and fruits organic and good quality
Over priced, quality aint that great. A lot of employees running around the store doing nothing. Not a really great selection. By all means not coming back!
Great! Clean. A lot of fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, fish etc. Prices are competitive. Many local vendors. Our favorite Whole Foods Market.
Great stuff. Too crowded. Customers all over like ants.
Love Whole Foods! Everything is a step or 2 up from other grocery stores, especially the produce, meat, and cheeses, but still with great prices and Amazon prime incentives. Plus, lots of local stuff and good prepared food.
Poor service. Got my car booted in the parking lot even though I was shopping at Whole Foods. Looks like they are trying to make money by improperly booting your car, when I called the manager to complain they said there’s nothing they could do. I would recommend going to another grocery store.
I went on a week day and it was really crowded. I havent been there in a few years. I spent so much time reading labels...after all its about eating and living healthy. Just wish there was an easier way.And wow their prices are high... that is the only reason I gave it 3 stars.
Came at 8 in the morning. No breakfast items, some shelfs are empty or partially restocked. One cashier is open with huge line of people waiting. A lot of employees are just walking around without a clear purpose. I understand that covid changed a lot but it seems like it is better to shop at Kroger nowadays.
Everything youve come to expect from Whole Foods, but this one is slower. This picture was taken at 130pm on a weekday, after the big lunch rush. There are 3 express cashier stations. They had fully 2 of them open today, one featuring 75 year old man with absolutely nothing express about him in any form or fashion. I counted 21 people in the express line and a minority of the regular cashier stations were open. Not very express so if youre in a hurry better slow your roll.
Went to get some of that Good brand soap and other things at Whole Foods yesterday when my car got booted. I feel creeped out and extremely uncomfortable knowing someone was either watching me or timing me the whole time to do this at 5:30 in the afternoon. A friend was in the exact place and was on her way to drop off a gift to me, so I walked across the lot to grab it. When I went to put it in my car and go back in, I had a boot on my car. So I guess I wasn’t a customer that day because the money I was going to spend in the store was spent on paying a fine to get it taken off. So, I immediately left without buying anything. It’s Christmas time during a Pandemic and I can’t afford to worry if my car is going to get booted trying to run errands. Bad business plan. Whole Foods has lost a customer and I will let others know to avoid this place if this is how they are treating their customers...or would be customers...sorry I went across the lot to speak to a friend I haven’t seen since the Pandemic began, life happens, just not at Whole Foods.
Great grocery store with unique and healthy products. The store is also a great location to get lunch and dinner. They have all sorts of fresh made food ready to eat. From pizza to a great salad bar, to many more varieties of foods. The prices are a little high but you are getting a premium product for that. It is a nice place to shop.
So I’ve shopped at this whole foods for 6 years, There are cheaper options, but hey whole planet right? I used to work at whole foods so I know all about the whole planet thing, even donated part of my paycheck every month. I park my car and walk under the parking deck for about 5 mins turn around and shop at whole foods then walk out to my car and there a boot on it. Whole foods management says its a 3rd party company and there’s just nothing that can be done. So I payed 75 dollars to shop at this whole foods. Its a pandemic people are dying,, the parking lot was empty. Is this really how we behave? Yeah its on a sign if you leave the parking lot they can boot you, but when you turn around to spend money in that store? Ill never shop here again and Im ashamed that this is even a thing that goes on. Merry Christmas, you guys got me. I left feeling like a criminal, thank you for that experience
Awesome people. Working hard to keep things in stock and as clean as possible. They are also limiting the number of people in the store at any one time to make it easier to keep a good distance from other customers.
I asked a young lady at Alpharetta WF about tahiniThank You for your help she went out of her way to go an find item for me.Sorry I did not get your name. It was Wednesday about 1030amTHANK YOU
You can get your produce, food and other healthy choices. Yet parking lot is almost always busy so parking is a little tricky.
I can always count on Whole Foods to have the prettiest flowers 🌹 ready and available. I must admit I always stop by here first because seeing their beautiful inventory of blooms always makes me happy hehe 😍!!!
I am never one to complain but I walked into this terrible encounter with a manager or whoever name Hannah she was an Asian women not exact of name Hannah I believe that’s what she said she was one of the rudest people I’ve ever encountered does not at all need to have any authority in a store as such she became verbally rude to my 3 year old mixed son and I do not ever play the race card and came off as if she may have had some sort of issue she was telling me oh go leave him at the front of the store he can’t stand here etc one of the first ever encounters with such a hateful horrible person
Great place for groceries but somewhat upscale and expensive. Not for folks on budget.
This While Foods has lost us as customers. My daughter parked briefly visited the store, left when they did not have what she wanted. Proceeded over to Avalon and came back in an hour to find a boot on her car. $75.00 charge! She didn’t even notice if there were any signs.
Good place for vegans
I solid selection of locally or near local vegetables and meats and fish of great quality.
Good quality food, quick eat, yummy desserts. Several gluten free options.
Please do not eat the cookies that are left uncovered in the pastry/bake goods department. Knats, flies, & fruit flies swarm & nest on them.... Not okay.
Went there with a friend and she was completely ignored on purpose by the meat cutting staff. After repeatedly ignoring her, I stepped up and ensured he assisted her.She decided not to purchase the steak at the check out and I told the front staff about the incident. Instead of apologizing to her while she was standing next to me, they apologized to me.Store manager was not available to talk.Update: GM called and apologized to my friend. Acknowledged the issue and said she would take immediate action.
The hot food bar is finally open again! You must wear disposable gloves which they provide. A great step in the right direction.
Shopped at Whole Foods before, but NEVER after todays experience. Left my car in their half empty parking lot for a while and it got booted when I got back. Had to pay $75 because of the sign Parking for Customers Only. Well, youve just lost a customer. Merry Christmas to you guys :(
This is a great location. Ill be back...
Very clear and well thought out store. Well stocked with the special items I expect from Whole Foods. Mask and distancing policies are handled well without causing inconvenience.
Far better than most grocery stores.
They have the BEST coffee!! Been to many, many spots around Atlanta on the search for a smooth yet energizing roast. Not a fan of the burnt/bitter taste and as an avid coffee drinker, it’s easy for me to tell the difference in a premiumversus mediocre brand. Allegro is genuinely AMAZING! Please try it, you will instantly notice the big difference in comparison to a Starbucks coffee!!
Such a great place for groceries and a quick bite to eat.
Busy today, but lots of registers open, no problems.
