Dr. Nathan Lambert at Excel Eye in American Fork is simply the best! He always gives us the time we need to get our questions answered and never seems rushed. He is very knowledgeable and skilled, but also extremely friendly and pleasant in each visit! The other members of the staff treat you like family, they really bend over backward to help out!

Dr Lambert and Holly are great. They’re both very knowledgeable. Dr Lambert seems to know every single thing about the human eye and explained what was going on with my eye and what surgery we need to do so I will be able to see better. I feel very confident that he is extremely intelligent and skilled. He is also very easy to talk to and took the time to do that.

I had cataract surgery and Dr. Nathan Lambert was exceptional in his expertise, and personal care for my needs. I am thrilled with the results of my surgery. The staff was also very personable, kind and helpful.

Their billing department has major issues. They keep sending bills to us on the other side of the country for our adult daughter who is their patient in Utah. We insure her, we are not financially responsible for her. We have called 5 months in a row after each of 5 bills were received to correct this issue so that bills go to her, the patient, who is an adult, who is responsible for her own medical bills. Every single time they apologize and say they will correct it, and that they have their address to bill her, but then another bill comes the next month, so we call in again. So annoying.

We were signed in and taken back to our room quickly. Another tech took me to a different room to do the preliminary exam, then returned me back where the Doctor was just finishing with my husband’s exam. The Doctor then did my exam, we chatted for a few minutes, then we’re discharged. We had 2 complete exams and were finished in less than 45 minutes.

The office staff is friendly, personable and competent. The assistants are the same. Dr. Nathan Lambert is the best I can recall in 74 years. He is unquestionably competent and he is also personable and very thorough. He checks everything, reverifies any reading that might be a cause for concern, explains what everything means including treatment options and he listens. He is young but experienced. I hope he stays at Excel. I want him to be my opthamologist for the rest of my life.

My routine well check for my eyes went really well. From the receptionist who was friendly and knew her job, to Kami who was the tech that checked my vision. She explained what was coming up at every step. There was no wondering what was happening next. Dr Lambert was very cordial and helpful. he took time to explain my problem and what my choices were to fix it. They were all exceptional.

We could not have been more pleased with our visit to Excel eye center in American fork yesterday. Every one was kind, cheerful and friendly. They were conscious of cleanliness, wearing masks. and following health guidelines. They were efficient and timely. Every question or concern was addressed. It was a very good experience all the way through.

Dr. Peter Ririe removed my cataracts about 1 1/2 years ago. I am now 79 years old, and have been extremely satisfied with the surgery. My vision is 20/20 in both eyes, and I passed the drivers license eye exam without glasses. Sometimes I use 1.0 or 1.25 readers, but most of this time I can read, even the very small print on my phone, without them. I had very little discomfort after the surgery, & the recovery period was quick. Dr. Ririe is friendly & personable, & he was helpful & attentive after the surgery. The office staff was also friendly, helpful, & efficient. I highly recommend Dr. Ririe. Great experience!

I have been going to Excel Eye Center in American Fork for many many years. Dr Gunther is no longer there and I was a bit wary of seeing someone new. I had nothing to worry about as the new doctor I saw was absolutely wonderful. Had the best bedside manners ever, so to say, and explained everything in plain English. Great staff out the front and out the back too. Great experience at this appointment, even better than before. Thank you for great caring staff all around.

Excellent and efficient service here! I called to schedule an appointment and was able to get one within a couple days and at a time that worked well for me and my schedule. Every one there was friendly and efficient in doing what they needed to do. Dr. Simmons was great to answer all of my questions and tell me what the next steps were for me! I was seen for my yearly eye exam. My vision is getting worse at night, Dr Ririe suggested it’s time to take off the cataracts. I’m scheduled for that in March. I’m so excited!! He did my husbands a couple of years ago and he has been so pleased with his outcome! Dr Ririe is so kind and very knowledgeable, his staff are all very nice and easy to work with. Hardly any waiting time. I love Excel Eye Center and would recommend them to family and friends!

I didn’t have to wait long to see the dr. I came here because I was referred to see an ophthalmologist for some pain behind my eye. Dr Ririe was thorough and did a complete eye exam to address my issues. I would recommend Excel Eye Center. Just know that they do not accept Vision ins. Luckily I was there for health reasons and could Bill my health insurance.

My family has seen both Dr. Simmons and Dr. Ririe at Excel and we have always received fabulous service. Both are excellent with children and adults. The doctors and staff are friendly, professional, and efficient. We never have long waits. I highly recommend Excel Eye Center.

I had the best experience with any medical staff I have ever had at Excel. Both the Dr and Medical assistant who treated me that day were cordial and efficient. My wait time was almost nothing. However, the part that impressed me the most was the bed side manner of both the Dr and his MA. They put me at complete ease while going through the diagnosis process. Great place! Went there for the first time and they took care of my routine eye exam very well. They were very understanding when i got light headed after they dilated my eyes and touched them with the blue light machine. They tilted beck the chair, gave me some time to recover, and some water and fruit snacks. Nice people, very professional.

I loved my experience at Excel Eye Center at American Fork. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Kyle Anderson was the technician that helped me and was very kind and knew what he was doing. I also bought a pair of glasses from Excel and Lee was the one that helped me. She was so great to work with. She made sure I got the eyeglasses that looked best with my face shape. I had been having problems with my vision for well on to two years. I knew I had A.M.D. but it wasn’t advancing as fast as it could. But I was still having problems seeing. I went to see Dr. Ririe who advised me that I had cataracts on both eyes.We scheduled surgery for November 16, 2020, and December 13, 2020.I couldn’t believe the difference in the brilliance of lights, colors and my ability to see at night or in the dark.My vision was almost as good as it was 50 years ago! I still need glasses for up-close reading, but I can pass a drivers test without glasses...that’s a great score!I can’t thank Dr. PETER RIRIE and his staff enough. What a great guy, a wonderful team, and such a supportive staff.I recommend them highly to anyone with vision problems, especially if you are like me, and a little more experienced (72), or you find your vision getting darker or the colors fading a bit. Go see Excel Vision! They’re the best!

I returned after 2 years. My initial experience was not good. The techs were flippant in their exams and the physicians appeared to be the same. This time the tech was new and excellent, the physician was also new. The experience was excellent. I would recommend them.

We went on a Monday the lobby wait time was under 10 minutes in the room I had to wait maybe 25 to 30 minutes for the doctor once in the room he was quick. The only complaint I have they dilated my eyes and didnt provide me with any glasses so driving home was a joke. Not sure whose oversight that was but it was very frustrating.

Great experience with Excel Eye Center and Dr Lambert. We even had our hyper 2 and 4 year olds in with us and the Dr Lambert was very nice and understanding.

The exam side accepts my ins but the glasses side doesnt. I thought it was going to bd a one stop shop and since I work full time and took the afternoon off I needed it to be. I had a good exam but no glasses and no time to shop

Wonderful service and care! I had some problems with the eye drops administered for the eye exam. I am just wondering if there isnt some alternative for people with super sensitive eyes.

When my regular eye doctor was on vacaton, I went in to Excel as an emergency to have a small, but extremely painful metal fragment removed from my eye. I had to wait over 35 minutes for the Dr to see me, and then another 10 after I was shown to the examination room. The Dr. was kind, and the removal took about 10 minutes, 5 of which waiting for the anesthetic to take effect. The chip was quick removed and a prescription for antibiotics was provided. The Dr. asked for a followup visit in a week. Charge for the initial visit was over $200, and I felt the charge was appropriate. The followup visit took less than 5 minutes of the Drs time, and I was charged an additional $100 for the followup. I was very disappointed that I was charged a followup fee. I will looking elsewhere for emergency eyecare in the future, just based on the $100 followup visit charge.

EVERYONE is friendly and competent. they take care of virus spread concerns but still take care of my eyes efficiently. Very comforting experience.

Dr Ririe is so kind and gentle. He took the time to thoroughly exam my eye, explain his findings and put my mind at ease.

I was scheduled to have a chalazion drained. When I went in, it was a lot smaller. I asked Dr. Ririe what he would do, he said wait because it will go away on its own soon. I appreciated him telling me that and putting me first verses how much my insurance could be billed.

I just had cataract surgery last Wed. ( Feb 2019) and I am thrilled.It was so easy, painless and now I have 20/20%. Dr. Ririe was excellent in calming my fears, answering my questions and good grief - I think the entire surgery took 10-15 minutes. Ive no problem since and recovery has been easy. Today it has been one week . I went to my follow/up exam and everything looked great. Im scheduling my other eye now for in a few weeks. The office staff, recpetionist and everyone were extremely friendly and helpful and the office is so extremely clean! 5 Stars for me

Surgery in 2016 with Dr. Hunsaker. Second surgery in 2020 with Dr. Ririe. I now have 20/20 vision in both eyes. It doesnt get much better than this. Terrific people to work with. Quality service. I was well treated. COVID precautions seemed thorough.

Dr. Simmons was so helpful in working with me until I got the correct fit and vision for my contacts. It took 3 visits to get the astigmatism, distance and reading correct, along with trying different brands until I felt comfortable. I can see clearly now!!!! All the staff was so kind as I would come in week after week until I had the right contacts for each eye. Highly recommend AF Excel!!

We have never had any bad experiences since bringing our two kids here. The staff is so friendly and willing to listen to our questions. They have even helped our son with the appropriate glasses he needed for seeing things far away. We will continue to bring our kids here.

Made my first appointment with Dr. Ririe on 7/31/18 they were able to fit me in same day for some concerns I had been having with my vision.I was super happy with the medical assistant and doctor and both seemed knowledgeable and concerned with patient care and comfort. Even better than the service I received was the fact that Excel Eye Center automatically adjusted my bill lower after my insurance rejected it (turns out I dont have vision insurance, my mistake) and gave me the cash price. Ill be recommending them to everyone in the area. Thank you for treating your patients like people and not just revenue.

I have mostly good experiences here although last years appointment took almost 2 hours because they were unusually busy. Generally speaking the office staff and doctors are really nice and I have felt like it was a good place to go until . . . Before Christmas, I requested that they fax my glasses and contact prescription over to Costco (this was weeks before I left). They did not. I had to call twice to get them to send over the prescription and they only sent the contact prescription. It was too late for me to order and receive the contacts before I left on vacation so they graciously gave me a trial pair to hold me over. The prescription did make it to Costco and I had contacts waiting for me after my vacation. Fast forward to the last couple of weeks when I have repeatedly called and they have repeatedly informed me that they called over my glasses prescription. It is getting so frustrating because they say they are doing it then Costco doesnt have it. So yesterday, they told me I could open a patient portal and I could just print the prescription off of there. Great, I thought! They also said again that they were faxing the prescription. Today=no prescription at Costco AGAIN and to my utter frustration they DID NOT post my glasses prescription. They did however post my contact prescription. WOW! This is beyond ridiculous.
