I got an americano and my husband a black drip coffee. Satisfied, our coffee was nice and hot, and tasted good. I hate when you get lukewarm coffee that goes cold fast this was nice and hot. Service fast the ladies that helped us very kind and efficient and they let our pup have a whip cream treat too. It was great here I’d go back.

Tried Hazel Nut Latte and Mocha here. Tastes absolutely delicious. One of the best coffee shop in town.

The “tall” double latte with whole milk and scones were great. For context, I have a prosumer machine (Lilit Elizabeth) at home and am pretty picky, and this did it for me. Hard to sift through all of the options around here.

Lobby was closed, no menu in drive-thru, they offered to use my phone to take a picture of the menu instead of just offering a menu which I thought was bizarre. Coffee was fine but priced somewhat higher than I was expecting, and not better than the Starbucks a block over. Weird experience, wont go back.

This is my favorite coffee shop in Anacortes. After moving to college Im just now realizing how good their coffee is and though Im mostly very well adjusted I do miss this coffee shop every day. Also the baristas are always very friendly.

Mister & I stopped in for coffee and a pastry at Penguin Coffee LLC. He had milk & coffee (1/2&1/2) and I had an Americano. Both drinks were perfectly made with drinkable temps. We shared a caramel pecan cinnamon roll, warmed. It was delicious. The atmosphere was very laid back with mainly locals stopping in for coffees. Wed go here again if in the area.

This place is so cute, they have penguin-themed knickknacks and a bunch of penguin comics taped to the bar. It had a small seating area that might not be great for a huge group but would be pretty comfortable to sit and enjoy your coffee. Got a big order, too, so there was a lot to deal with and the girls behind the counter were on to of it!

I can not say enough good things about the coffee and staff at Penguin. They always have a smile and great attitude. Their coffee is the best. It is a great meeting spot. Nice atmosohere, games provided to play. You see many people visiting and reading. Quiet enough to work and think. Not so quiet you feel like you shouldnt talk. Two Thumbs up.

Nice place! Cute and quaint. My friend and I met for Tea, nice selection of Tea Bags. The water is hot. Served in a to go cup. No teapot. Much more of a coffee place, I dont think they get a lot of tea drinkers. I would love to find a place where your tea is brewed in a pot, with a real cup, but its a hard place to find. Nice place for coffee drinkers!

This place is off the hook, like captain hook. What is a hook when describing a place?... Anyways this place has friendly atmosphere and friendly service. Most importantly they make great coffee. Pastries are a must with these delicious coffee combinations.

We were at the counter only ones there! A women walked in they acknowledged her and said usual? She said yes so the proceeded to make her coffee as we stood in awe. WTF we wont go there again

The young ladies always cheerful, great customer service and always get the order correct. I rarely order a single beverage...usually 3or 4 sometimes more.

This was a great local coffee place we stopped in before my daughters doctors appointment. She tried the ice cream shake and loved it. I had a very good iced espresso. Id go back and also would recommend to others.

When I think of all the coffee shops in Redmond, Woodinville or Mount Vernon...I can’t think of a better Americano then Penguin. Seriously excellent cup of Joe. Maybe Ristretto in MV compares...but that is about it. Great coffee served with a smile.

Friendly staff, good cappuccinos, fresh bakery products to go or to stay. Always tempted to stay. Relaxed, newspaper reading atmosphere without the hype you find elsewhere.

We went there before closing without realizing we were there 5 minutes before closing. They came to the window like we were bothering them. The coffee itself was not that good. Go to Moka Joes ... Way better!

Good coffee, but seriously lacking in the friendly department. Maybe this is a locals-only place, cause it seemed like we walked into a shop we werent even welcome in. For as many coffee stands there are in this tiny town, I certainly wouldnt subject myself to this cold shoulder again.

The coffee was good. Four stars because I was asked what size I wanted for a cappuccino.

Good coffee, friendly and attentive service, tasty baked goods worth the calories (although nothing that I would make a special trip to get). Plenty of space. Bright and airy feeling. Good Wi-Fi. Downsides: design of the customer area gets very noisy with just a few people, lack of outlets.

Asked for Hemp milk fo the mocha I ordered since my wife is lactose intolerant. They added milk instead. I was also not impressed with the drip coffee I asked for the medium roast and recieved the dark roast.

Caffe Darte, a Seattle based toasting company who has been roasting artisan coffee since 1985, is their grind of choice.
