I got my winter tires on early before the rush. I was glad they got me in so quick. However when I went to go drop off my car, no one acknowledged I was there. When they did they would say oh thats so-so go to him over there, then I would go and they would say it was someone else. All I needed to do was drop my keys off. The guy wasnt there so they asked me to pull up my car and I did. Then the guy was there so I gave him my keys and left and as I was leaving the guy moved my vehicle back to where I originally moved it from after asking me to move it to the new place. If I wasnt so annoyed it really would have been quite funny. Im sure they have good intentions but their organization and management is absolutely atrocious. I also wanted to add auto start to my car and the guy said he would look it up for me. He didnt so he just scheduled me. I ended up missing it so I called to see if I can bring it in still and he said instead of coming in he needs to make sure he has the parts and will get back to me on the price and if they got it in stock. Its been about 2 weeks and Ive heard nothing.
Absolutely terrible customer service! took my vehicle there for service and the staff was rude. Disrespectful to my wife and then continued on with me. Son drove there to get some work done and they sold his part without calling and then were rude about it. I will be taking my company and personal business else’s where. Avoid if at all possible. In in all my life I have never been treated so poorly at a dealer.
The place to go for all things vehicle. I have purchased 3 vehicles here (2 new, 1 used) and Jake (Management) has always treated me fairly. My sales person moved out of state, but I did buy all 3 cars from him prior. Ginos is who Ill be working with in sales going forward. Most recently, took my husbands 2019 Blazer RS in for a detail. And wow! It looks and smells brand new again. Like new car smell new. It was filthy and covered in dog hair. Shane in service always gets me taken care of and on my way. I simply love this dealership. Keep it up guys!
Ive been trying to call to schedule an appointment for over a week now. Need an oil change, and a tire change. Select to speak with quick lube, and get nothing more than the voicemail. Left a voicemail a week ago, and have heard nothing back. Also tried to schedule through main service, and they never try to help schedule. Get transferred to quick lube, who never answers. Over the last 3 days, not even service will answer the phone.
The technician was very helpful. He confirmed which recalls were needing addressed on my car, and tracked the parts down to make sure they would be available for my appointment. He fixed the recalls promptly and even checked my tires to make sure they were in good shape and aired up properly. Additionally, he made contact with me to let me know my car was ready for pick up. He was courteous and professional. I am completely satisfied with the service I received.
It was a great experience. My 2 recalls on my 2019 GMC Denali were supposed to take a couple of days to complete, but Shane was able to have it done the same day I dropped my truck off. Thanks Shane, Bob W.
The company I work for has spent thousands and thousands of dollars with this dealership and our experiences buying from or getting service from them has always been less than satisfactory. We dropped a Silverado off in April of this year to get tcm programmed after installing a brand new transmission purchased from them. They said it will be a few days, no problem… called monthly for updates and it was always “you are next in line” “we are waiting for our transmission tech”, excuse after excuse. After 6 months of beating around the bush we have decided to get it fixed elsewhere. To add to insult they replaced a battery and cable and charged us almost $800 for that. I would steer clear of this place. It’s an absolute joke!

You did not fix my truck. This is the second time I took it in and you couldnt repeat the issue. Then you said, oh, its the battery, well replace it. You replaced it, we paid, took the truck back and its still not starting. When I pay nearly $50k for a vehicle, I expect the dealer to be able to service and figure out the problems with the same vehicles you market and sell. Our experience tells us that you service too many vehicles to provide QUALITY service to each customer.

Our whole experience with South Anchorage Chevrolet has been a pleasant and and fully satisfying experience. When we brought our truck in to have the rims changed to the correct ones, along with the the protective coating put on the paint along with the under coating, we were pleasantly surprised to find the interior cleaned as well.
There was a bit of a stack up of customers waiting to get their vehicles back from the LOF service counter. the customer being helped was disputing that he had lifetime oil changes and he had his vehicle since the dealership was Tony Chevrolet. Instead of having a dispute directly in front of other customers I would recommend you have a service manager take over that situation and allow the other customers a chance to pick up their vehicles in a more timely manor. Started off pretty good as usual, at any dealership. They will say anything to get you to sign papers. Promise this and that, and treat you like their last and only customer. Until the deal is done, than act like you never existed. Trash service after the deal. Wouldnt recommend them to anyone.

No pressure, addressed me not my boyfriend (car only for me, still polite for my boyfriend but addressed me for all car related decisions), very informative and did his best to work within my budget and wishes.Mark also awesome. The GM of this store has been in the BIZ for 30+ years and hell let you know it. When I tried to reach someone here with an ounce of customer service ability to help a mutual customer I got this D-BAG. Was told they dont keep documentation of when a customer sells a vehicle to the store. Maybe they still use stone tablets at this dealership. BTW there is a thing called social media and reviews these days so you might want to change your ways and improve how you treat customers and colleagues.Wow their on-line reviews are terrible- shocker
The transfer case on my 2003 truck went out on me while driving home from work, I managed to get it to the garage. Through the whole process of the repairs, Shane Schenker kept me apprised of the work being done to repair it. Shaunna Adams was also very helpful in renting a car while the repairs where being done. They both worked with me and where helpful through the whole repair.
Negotiating a deal for my trade in and getting paperwork was done efficiently and quick. But coordinating with Safe n Sound in regards to what needed to be done with the new audio system was unclear- resulting in the truck needing to be sent back in . Also, the detailing/cleaning job appeared to be rushed and a lot was missed. Upholstery has some some “stuff” stuck to it, still dust and residue, and even lots of fur, crumbs and other items like chapstick is under the seats.
Eric in the parts Dept. Mike and Shane in the service Dept., went above and beyond their duties, to give me excellent service. I will continue to do business with South Chevrolet because of their comment to their customers.Mike B.
My customer service experience was very poor, my wife signed off on documents agreeing for service I was not aware of which was no big deal I just wanted to clarify and Shane got annoyed with me and made it a big deal telling me I should know cause I signed off on it which he was wrong my wife did. I felt attacked mistreated then they gave me my vehicle back and I took it to another mechanic cause Shane said I had to fix a long list of stuff that might not even fix the problem. I went to another mechanic to find out that Chevy south left a few wires unplugged and never put it back together. My father in law warned me before I took my vehicle to Chevy, they are truly con artists. I don’t blame Chevy it’s the con artist working there.
Mike was a great help when everyone was trying to get tires changed before the deadline. My Chevy truck needed brakes and a recall service. He was able to make it all happen in a single visit. Great job Mike and team!!
Our experience with Daniel Rogers was first class. He was very helpful throughout the entire day. We test drove several vehicles and he was able to make additional suggestions based on our response to each vehicle. This ultimately resulted in my husband and I each driving home a new vehicle that day.

I dropped my car off on 6/23 for routine maintenance and a check engine light diagnosis. Since yesterday was the 7th day, I decided to call for an update. I got the voice message machine, so I left a message. Almost 24 hours later and still no call back. I called 3 more times today, no one picked up the phone again so I left a message. I am wishing I went to another place to get service done, but at least I know now.
Have had alot of bad experience with it. Its OK if you want to get an oil change. But scheduling an appointment is alot of hassle numerous times Ive scheduled an appointment and showed up then they te) me I haft to leave it for 4 weeks. If I had known before hand I could of prepared for it

I have been using South Anchorage Lithia for mechanical issues and oil changes for a 2009 Cad since I bought it. Most of the staff is friendly and reliable. A great place for our cars.

Classic car dealership. Pressure pressure pressure to buy. Basically won’t let you leave. My 2022 car I bought doesn’t have cruise control, every single person I’ve told that to is absolutely floored by that, and they didn’t tell me. I even asked during the test drive if it had adaptive cruise control and they just said no, not that it didn’t have it at all. When trying to figure out my next step, they were completely unhelpful and two different times it took four days and multiple pokes from me to get answers that should’ve taken 15 minutes. I was even hung up on by a sales associate when describing my lengthy attempts to try to get help. Once they have your money they don’t care anymore. Only giving two stars because one guy I talked to in service was helpful and made a call to GM to see if cruise control could be added after the fact, which it cannot.
The person who was covering the desk for Mike was helpful. He managed to squeeze me in for an appointment same day. I appreciated the extra mile he went to get my car in for an oil change
TERRIBLE SERVICE DEPTScheduled an appointment to have a USB port fixed and a noise under the hood looked at, showed up and they said cant get to it in the shop at least till tomorrow and probably the day after. Why set an appointment or they should have rescheduled?Then 2 days later said the USB was working right and they have NEVER heard of this problem. Had to bring it back another day and they used a different phone to test the port, low and behold it did not work ...Said they looked it up and they was a technical bulletin on it and that they had 3 more on backorder for other vehicles (never heard of it-really)Finally got it replaced.As for the noise, it was usually louder when it was cold, so left it overnight for them, cause another trip to them. they said they could not find anything and that is normal for it to sound different when it first startsNow a few months later the water pump went out at 28,000 miles.Since it was a Sunday, the service dept was closed and I had to tow home at my cost. and then monday to the dealer. Now they say it will be 2 weeks before they can get it back to me,. 99 % sure that the water pump is in stock. So now without a vehicle for 2 weeks at best.

If I had to put in one word, phenomenal. Dallas was an incredible salesman and a downright down to earth individual. My last experience with South Chevrolet definitely put me on the fence of whether I should ever do business with them. But after working with Dallas, he’d be the only salesman I’d refer anyone I know too. Chevrolet is lucky to have Dallas!
Shane got my vehicle written up said hed give me a call as soon as the problem was diagnosed. I shortly received a call from him that the technician had diagnosed the problem. He gave me call explaining the problem & the cost of the repairs to which I agreed & I was able to pick up my vehicle before the end of the day with the repairs successfully completed. Would definitely recommend my friends to go there..Only thing that was a bit disappointing, i’m from Southern Oregon, and when taking my car to have any service/work done, they always returned it to me washed and vacuumed, that didn’t happen this time.. Really dislike when I find out that the job they had done was not up to par...Shane said he would not cut a PO# to complete the job of painting the Drivers mirror they had replaced... I could not figure out why it keeps turning white till Alaska Sales and Service Body Shop had pointed out that it was not painted to match the Passenger mirror.. the defective drivers mirror had been painted ... I tried to get Alaska Sales and Service Body Shop to fix it and they said the Mirror was Replaced by Chevrolet of South Anchorage and they should finish the job correctly..

I bought my truck here brand new with 11 miles. Bought an extended warranty and lifetime oil changes and tire rotations plan. First of all every time i schedule and appointment like the Chevrolet Web page and My Chevrolet app suggests I show up at scheduled time and no one has a clue about any appointments. I am told first come first served. So all the notifications i am bombarded with mean nothing. The extended warranty i paid for is exclusively at Lithia which is useless if you travel out of state.Ive had been told that they can not do a Coolant flush at recommended service intervals because i have a Leak and have to make an appointment to get it repaired. Since i know there is no leak i take it to another shop to get a second opinion and they could not find the Leak.Its confirmed that i was Lied to. During a trip to Fairbanks i had the transmission fail and took it to the nearest dealer where they did the transmission repair and also replaced the rear sliding glass window due to a recall. Once i get my truck back i try use my rear defrost and one of the rear defrosters start smoking and shatter the back window. I replaced my rear window on my dime and decided that i will leave the defroster disconnected. Now i am currently having transmission problems again less then 3000 miles after it was changed and called to get it checked out. I was told that there would be a 3 month wait to get it looked at. They also recommended that i go somewhere else to get it fixed.I love my chevrolets and but after dealing with this dealership i will may never buy from not only Lithia but Chevrolet as well. The extended warranty is a scam and the integrity is nonexistent.
They made us wait 2 hours for a scheduled appointment we had cheveyoil change they did not top off and fill any of the fluids and didnt leave the car clean
I believe service is also about trust. I have to trust your recommendations for service (of $1500) but when you report tire pressures when I have a TPS which have anti theft caps which you didn’t have the tool to remove, my trust isn’t established.
Micheal Williams in service took care of all our needs was super friendly with all the commotion going on around...he had it together. Can’t find that here in soldotna. Service was fast. Highly recommended place and will be going back for all our trucks needs. Exceeded in customer service all the way around.
Everyone was very professional and nice. Brandon took very good care of me and my vehicle from beginning to the end. He also, kept me informed on my wait. Also, the shuttle driver was very friendly, courteous and helpful. Im a little handicapped and he placed a stool out so I wouldnt experience discomfort getting in and out of the van. This dealership always go the extra mile. This dealership is 10 miles further than the one by my house, but the service and professionalism is worth the extra drive.
They flip flop on their trade in price for you. They will also insinuate that you don’t have money when you don’t want to put a down payment. I’ve never felt more offended in my life. I have bought three cars from other dealerships and have paid them off on time. The sales manager also got offended when i told him it was shady how the trade in value dropped 10k from what i was told in the beginning. He just hung up on me. I will be call corporate tomorrow. Just don’t let this dealership play you.

Disappointed in the service. I took my truck in for an alignment and diagnose the back up sensor. When i call i was told the need the truck one day to do the service. When i got there i was told they would need the truck a couple days. Well 3 days were up so i called, they had not got to it because their alignment machine was broke and were waiting on parts but were getting the parts that afternoon. The next day went by and still hadn’t got the machine fixed. By now it’s the weekend by was guaranteed to get the truck aligned and done monday. I stop by Monday late afternoon to see if it is ready to pick, i see it on the rack, nothing had been done yet, the technician did not show up to work that day. Shane the service writer and others did not even know that the mechanic didn’t show up and my truck wasn’t getting worked on. I then told Shane i want my truck back to me by the end of the day that i will take it else where. He had to get ahold of the technician to see if it was safe to drive. Didn’t hear back till Tuesday morning. They had the audacity to charge me 149$ to diagnose the back up sensor, i was reluctant to pay that. And wanted 700$ For parts and labor to repair the sensor haha. I will find a different shop to take my truck. And when i go to buy a new truck this year i will go to Alaska Sales instead!
If I could leave zero stars I would. I have bought several used cars in my lifetime from dealer ships. I have never been so lied to before in the sales process. DO NOT buy their extended warranty. You will have to take your vehicle to them to get the work done, or take your vehicle over 40 miles away for the warranty to kick in. Not quite feasible when you cant even drive the car to begin with. Theyre always backed up, they will only provide you with a rental for 5 days even though theyre a month out on work. Customer service is always awful with the service department. The only department that I havent had an issue with yet is the lube department. They wont work anything out with you to get the job done sooner, even though theyre a month out and another shop can get it done the next day for you. I will never recommend buying from a Lithia dealership, nor will I ever take one of my soldiers there to purchase a vehicle.

Where do I start! Well I truly regret ever making any business with this dealership. When I first bought this vehicle the service wasn’t really great and buying a vehicle was like they were doing a favor for me. Then I buy the oil change for lifetime. Every single time I take it I’m prepared to waste my time.1st time they couldn’t find my account and waited until they did.2nd time I purchased a auto start and they said the had it in stock and I was sweet I will take care of the recalls and oil change and the auto start. They ended notifying me they weren’t able to install because they made a mistake and didn’t have the part and they were only doing the oil change and two recalls.3rd time I never received a phone call that my part was in and it was like 3 months. I finally made a appointment since it needed a oil change and had them install it. Then they charged me 200 and I was thinking it’s alittle too high for a a install then I review my receipt they had charged me the oil chang. And the customer service couldn’t even return the money and told me to come back Monday.OMG never going back there for sure

Stay as far away from this place as you possibly can. Extremely rude customer service extremely rude sales personnel. The particular one we got try to relate with us by explaining his whole family is Corrections and hes put an old roommate that was in the Army in the hospital. Thats not a good start. I requested a different salesperson before walking away from the sale or that was my next option. Ended up making the sale due to the fact that the price was right and I couldnt find a comparable truck for the price in mileage. Then I went in two months later to ask about status of plates and tags. I have permanent veteran tags I explained to them before purchasing that they werent going to be able to transfer and Id like to do it on my own. They insisted they could big surprise they cant they were supposed to have called me a month ago but for some reason they didnt. But let me back up when I went into ask about update just because I was in the area they told me do you have your paperwork I said no they said well we cant find you in the system anywhere are you sure you bought a vehicle from us I said yes I gave him the salespersons name. The lady asked again if I had the paperwork I said no she said well its not my problem then. So you telling me you losing your paperwork or not being able to do your job is not your problem thats the customers Im confused. So then I requested to talk to the regional manager via by phone 4 days later no call their manager they call that day and the first thing on the line was Im sorry you got upset and then proceeded to explain somebody was supposed to have called me already Etc I sat in silence. Then he asked are you still there I said yes I was just waiting for you to get done with your rude conversation I said usually when theres an issue you call in at least try to fake an apology his response was I did Apologize said no you said Im sorry you got upset again so the customers fault my fault I got upset because you guys cant do your job right. Long story short this place is a joke I personally will never step foot in a Lithia store again and I will make a strong effort to allow other people to understand and know people like this are not welcome. Do your job show up with a smile dont talk about stuff thats offencive or unnecessary.
On Feb 9 Continental Subaru put a new battery in my wifes Subaru; it took a half an hour. So, I called South Anchorage Chevy, talked to Shane about putting a battery in my Aveo. He said sure, bring it in, you could get to it, probably take a couple of hours. I brought it in. Another advisor told me Shane was out to lunch, I could leave the car overnight, they couldnt get it until tomorrow. I elected to bring it in first thing the next day. I did. Shane was late to work. When he showed up he asked if I had a ride because it was going to take all day. I complained, he said he would try to get it done quicker. I decided to wait-until I saw my car parked outside. So I took the shuttle home. After Shane called to tell me my car was ready the shuttle got me back to pick up my car after lunch. Only at that time did Shane reveal what he was going to charge- $259.95! When I dropped the car off he didnt say peep; the only figure I saw on the work order was $148. With no warning you charge me $100 to test the battery! $10 for Provisions and Materials. To change a battery?!? I questioned Shane; he said I wouldnt find a better price in town. The previous day Id paid $131.34 with a lot less inconvenience, no deception and no insults. If this is how you do business...well, you wont get anymore business from me or anybody I know.

If I could rate 0 stars I would.If youre a person who doesnt know a lot about vehicles, dont go here. Theyll take advantage of that. I brought my truck in because it hasnt been serviced in a while. I brought up several concerns including; brakes needed to be change, the front lock had been popped by a burglar so it needed to be replaced, the check engine light was on, and an overall courtesy check.I was charged $500 for the replacement of the door handle and lock. When, upon inspection, they didnt replace it, they simply put the original lock in that had already been broken into and broke about a week later.I was under the impression that a courtesy check included an overall tires and lights. When I got my truck back the drivers side brake light was still not fixed.Not to mention when I went to picked the truck up it was pouring rain... AND MY WINDOWS WERE LEFT DOWN.I was assured that id receive a survey within a week - still havent seen that survey Mikey (Service Advisor: 173037 Michael William). Good on ya for taking advantage of someone. Youre a real class act.

At 22 Im buying my first car and will admit I was a bit skeptical about purchasing a vehicle from this dealership due to the amount of negative reviews theyve received online. HOWEVER---Im very glad to report my experience was absolutely amazing. I was unsure in the beginning as to what I wanted exactly but Dallas, the salesman, was incredibly informative and helpful. It did take a few days of communication and him working with us on a reasonable price for me to finally decide on what I wanted and at the very end I was sure I made the right choice. Shout out to Dallas for your kindness and overall diligence, you were wonderful to work with and Ill definitely be back to see you again with a box of Malasadas and some Poke :)
I told the salesman exactly what I wanted and in several days he called for me to come in and check out the car he picked out with options I wanted and I was very satisfied with the car and the test drive. Update:Chevrolet of South Anchorage replied back, but it seems to be removed. They want me to come in and purchase another lugnut key when they/their employee stole or misplaced my original one. I dont see the need to re-purchase my property they had stolen or misplaced.I purchased my truck in 2015, that experience was good, then I went to get my truck serviced and have tires put on January of 2020. I have aftermarket wheels on with a certain wheel lock key that I brought to them to get it changed over, I went to pick up my truck and they claim I never brought it to them, Glenn is the guy who has been giving me the run around claiming hell talk to the managers, hell get back to me but he never updates and now the technician has stolen my wheel lock key and I am unable to find a replacement. They can they can cut it off, but the simple fix would be to give my tool back that I purchased.

The work is not done yet. More problems with the engine were discovered. The saving grace is that there will be a 3 year/50K mile warranty issued upon completion.

My husband and I started our purchase with Steve over the phone since we live in Fairbanks. It was super easy and efficient. A few days later we flew down and finished paperwork with the help of Jerry who was wonderful. The finance department was personable and had us ready for the road in no time. We couldn’t be happier with our experience or purchase!
When I was in the time before I was told that a transmission and the brake fluids needed to be changed. I came in this time to get those options done. All was done except the transmission because a gasket was not in the store and a replacement will be ordered. I am told that once it comes in I will be called. When i went to check out I attempted to pay via check. I was told that they will not accept checks. There is no signage that states this. It does however say debit or credit cards accepted and cash though they prefer not to. I do not use my debit card unless it is through a ATM. May I suggest you put one in. I have no credit card. However when the gentleman became aware of this to his benefit allowed me to go to the bank and get him the cash. I thank him for that.

Shane has been my service advisor for 14 years. I’ve always gone to him with my truck problems and he’s ALWAYS extremely helpful and accommodating. I live an hour away from the dealership and drive in to anchorage to see Shane and his guys anytime I need anything vehicle related.The service manager Kenny is great too!Steve in the Lube bay is also a great guy.Chevy of South Anchorage is my store. And I’ll always go there!
