Felt the need to drop by and share how well the girls working treated my 2 daughters and myself a week ago while shopping. We needed a complete outfit for a teen girl and got all the help doing so. Walked out with boots, jeans, shirt, hat and belt and she looked absolutely beautiful. This visit took 2 trips and in those 2 trips 3 girls helped us out so let me give some recognition to Shaleigh, Becky and Savannah. You 3 are a plus to an owners place of business. You were helpful and eager to do so with kindness is what is a big part in a customer coming back. Some things you didnt have in her size in stock, however you suggested other things and made her very happy. A HAPPY TEEN is a HAPPY MOM. THANKS GIRLS ..

I purchased a Stetson Gus 10x straw hat on Saturday, August 28 and as I write this review on Wednesday, September 1, I’m wearing the hat I ordered that was just delivered by UPS. That is to say, my order amount qualified for free shipping and I must say, I’m pleasantly surprised at how fast the shipping was for it to be free. The hat was packaged securely and very well and also included a couple of additional treats that made the purchasing experience all the better. Im from Texas so my store back home was Boot Jack so finding anything western is hard to find and I hate online shopping because well seeing how things feel on and look on you well is priceless & you know what your paying for Hands down my place to go for Boots wish they had cool leather Jackets and vest etc for women .

Great place for work boots

I was greeted warmly upon entry and exit, and let me say Im the guy they doesnt want bothered when hes shopping, but if there are 4 people at the front counter and none circulating throughout the store to ask if I need help, (and I did) Ill not go to the front desk to request help, Ill just go elsewhere. I think the store has a great selection and Im sure the employees are nice.

I stopped in here to look at boots. Its a lovely place with a great selection of boots. I enjoyed my visit except for seeing several shoppers not wearing masks. Also no one asked if they could help me. But I really, really loved their boots!

Nice stock. Unfortunately, they have no regard for public safety. Most of the staff did not wear masks and were very verbal about their opinions to the point it felt like they were insulting those who did. One staff member openly spreading false claims about mask wearing leads to bronchitis. The experience was made more unpleasant by the lack of customer service and help. Was ready to buy multiple hats but no thanks. I wont support such a sad example of poor hygiene and service.

I placed an order online after Christmas for a pair of boots for my husband. Not only did Cowpokes have the best price of any retailer, but their delivery was FAST and their packaging was thoughtfully put together. The next time Im near Indy I will definitely be stopping in the store to shop, but until then, Ill keep ordering online!

While I have never been to Cowpokes in store, I had a top notch experience online. It was super easy to shop their store online and the free shipping was surprisingly fast. The product was even better than I had expected and at a great price! Personal note inside the box was a nice touch. I will definitely shop here again.

I have shopped online and in store, there are a lot of kids boots at Cowpokes and a nice selection all through the store. Only downside was, I was in last weekend to do some Easter shopping, spent $177 dollars and still didnt get a free tee shirt.

The staff was very kind. There inventory was extensive and of very high quality. The prices were what I would expect to pay for the top quality products. We stopped in to just look around and ended up spending about 2 hours (and $300).

I purchase my 2nd pair of Ariat boot here. The manufacturer changed the material that my heel drags as I put on the boot. As it wears it turns into a material that drags so after 6 months I can hardly get these $190 boots on. The lady in charge(with no mask) says there is nothing she can do but stretch the boot that I have worn every day for 6 months. They fit fine once I get them on. The pair iI had before has a more finished material in that location that is slick. So I have to keep struggling getting them on until they tear(or I injure myself) before the can do anything about it. I also bought my son a pair that tore in that location due to this same issue and they replaced his.

Ordered an American Hat Company cowboy hat online. Was absolutely the best price anywhere and superfast shipping. I walked into Cowpokes to check out their hats. Im looking for a winter western hat to go with my boots. And Im always looking at western boots despite having several pair. A couple young gals behind the main counter inside the front door looked at me but didnt greet me, or inquire how I was, had I been in before, or was I looking for something in particular. So, I took myself on a self guided tour through kids and mens clothing. Then I toured the hat department where a young man was pressing a hat for a customer. They were actively talking. On I went after trying on a few hats. Checked out the tack department. Made me miss my years in horses.Next--Boots. Lots of boots. Some were on sale. Tried some on. Then on to the boot and shoe racks nearer the front of the store. Dan Post had two or three pair that tempted me. But no one engaged me in conversation except a customer entering the store who was heading toward the back. He said he thought he knew me from another store. I smiled and replied I just had a familiar face, but we had never met. Someone from behind the counter exchanged a few words with him as he passed between me and the counter.Two women customers were in the shoe rack area trying on shoes, talking among themselves, walking over and looking in the mirror. No store personnel engaged them in conversation while I was in that area. I was there enough time to pick up and hold quite a few different boots, looking at sizes, composition, country of origin, prices, workmanship. Before leaving boots altogether, I again admired the Dan Post pair I liked the best. I did resist temptation, however, and crossed the front of the store the second time, back to where I had seen a hat I liked on a mannequin earlier. I had picked it up then and put it on, but would need a different size.With that in mind, I headed back to the hat department where I was intercepted by the young man from hats. He and I looked at the hat I liked, tried to find my size and color. As we discussed what I actually had in mind for my winter hat, we ended up looking in catalogs. He was very helpful. But by this time, I was also getting very hungry. I decided to go eat and do some more thinking and looking.Based on initially absent customer service, I was going to rate my visit a three. But then the young Hat Man from eastern Tennessee who works in tack as well as hats, gave me great customer service. I had seen him giving the same to his other customer.Therefore I rated my visit a four.While I sure saw a lot of attractive boots and hats, I also saw a super lovely bright colored cactus shirt. I wanted to try it on. More than that, I wanted to wear it. I dont know how the usual customer who enters Cowpokes thinks, but I know there were three or four times during my visit when had an interested sales person approached me, I would likely have bought something, especially that cute and colorful cactus shirt. Just saying.

Was in town for the holidays with my mom and stopped in to look at some new boots. Wow! What a selection and the customer service was superb!

Great experience and interaction with sale. A young man who rode and cared for horses waited on me today. He was very knowledgeable in the boots and hats, which I was looking to buy. With his help I purchased a nice well fitted cowboy hat.

Ive lived in the area for almost 15 years and have never been to this store before; however, my daughter and her boyfriend wanted to go and look at their boots so I tagged along. While they were busy looking, I decided to browse around. I saw this sweater that jumped out, but I didnt want to buy it on impulse so I decided to think about it. The customer service wasnt the greatest, but my daughter found what she was looking for and we left.After a week passed, I couldnt get the sweater out of my mind and decided to go back and buy it. The customer service was even worse than the last time I went, as far as greeting and service. I went straight to the sweater, but they didnt have it in my size. I went to the counter to ask the only worker I was able to find to ask about my options for getting it. She wasnt all that helpful and didnt offer any advice so I inquired about ordering it through their online site. I was told it could be ordered online as long as the item was in stock. Luckily, she informed me it was in stock and in the size I wanted (there was around 25 available). Once the order was placed, I was told I would receive an email that my merchandise had arrived at the store. No other information was provided to me and I was already irritated with the poor service so I paid with cash and walked out of the store. As I sat in my vehicle looking over my receipt, I realized I was overcharged for the sweater (by more than $50) and the receipt showed my merchandise would be in around 10-14 days. Since the service was so horrible, I didnt feel like going back in to ask about the price discrepancy and figured I would get it straightened out when the sweater came in.Two weeks pass and I still havent received any communication at all regarding my order so I called the store to inquire about the status of the merchandise. The person I needed to talk to had just left for the day so I had to wait another 2 days. She was pretty prompt with getting back to me; however she wasnt very knowledgeable about the situation so I had to explain what had transpired and having to place my order through their site and she said she would have to get back with me. She called me the next day and informed me that they never received the merchandise I ordered, the item was currently out of stock, and the company (Ariat) was no longer going to be supplying or selling the item I wanted. So many questions came to mind, too many to ask over the phone, as this was really disappointing and irritating because now I had to go back to the store to get my money back instead of picking up my merchandise. The customer service was slightly better this time; however, after I said I wanted my money back, I was asked if I was sure I didnt want to just purchase something else.This happened in November...it is now January and Im sure you could imagine my shock, frustration, and disappointment when I happened to get on Ariats website, and low and behold they have the sweater (in my size, and at the correct price I should have originally paid for back in November). Totally opposite of what I was told 2 months ago!

We visited for a specific item. An employee told us most of their stock had been taken for a show in Kentucky and to return in a few weeks. Unfortunately we drove 90 minutes to this location. So if youre not in the area, I would suggest calling ahead. Also larger sizes had limited availability.
