I just love this place. And had great service

No hot donut opportunities at this store. Kind of disappoinyed when I walked in to see there was no fresh glazed donuts sitting on display or the normal conveyor you see at the good ones. They did have a small display of various other donuts but the original that made them famous. Ordered a dozen which she took out from under the counter. The donuts looked like your normally fantastic Krispy Kreme but upon 1st bite you get the feel of a glazed donut from the grocery store. The donut was dry and disappointing.

First time at Krispy Kreme and wow I did not believe the hype. I was completely wrong a fresh Krispy Kreme donut is absolutely outstanding. I had 2 a reeses and chocolate with frosting in the middle. Both flavors were good but I could tell just the flavor and texture of the donuts themselves was a notch above other donuts I have eaten. Price is higher than a gas station donut but worth ever penny. I highly recommend these if you havent had your eyes opened to them yet. A real treat!

I pulled up and saw the lobby was closed and was a little worried about timeliness. The crew was quick, professional, and kind. Got in and out very quickly with great doughnuts for the team that day. Thank you for recognizing the business that you are prepared to handle, adapting your operations, and executing at a high level. I have been back since then. Thank you.

We centered a road trip around grabbing doughnuts. It led to us enjoying Des Moines for a day. The doughnuts were delish and I appreciate the employees for being good to us during our visit in such weird times.

I dont rate anything or much at 5 stars but this place is close. Staff always nice and location is good. Parking kind of challenging at times depending on the time of day, but the donuts are always good and our boys love them!

Nice stop if you’re looking for a fresh donut. It’s not a bakery, so they don’t come fresh off the line, but they do arrive fresh each morning. Service was great during a quick stop with my children.

They were stale and had barely any frosting. Couldve just bought them at a grocery store for this quality

I just got my doughnuts delivered and they were not shut at all. With a time of covid-19 what actions are you taking for safety when my doughnuts are delivered half open. Very disappointed.

Im not normally a big Krispy Kreme person, but having received my 2nd Covid shot, I stopped in for the proffered free donuts theyre giving for vaccinated people.The worker was nice about it, and even gave me a second donut. Both were pretty good, though Krispy Kreme is definitely better when its fresh.

They were very understanding and helpful, but the only thing it would have been nice to get some of the Specialty and Holiday Dounts we came from MN to get them on our way home. but they did have my favorite one which is maple.

The staff was friendly and helpful. Donuts I got were tasty and fresh. Just a heads up, this is a satellite store. So dont expect the same selection as you would other larger stores. They have seemed to always be well stocked on standard product. I havent been able to score the specialty items the couple times Ive been. Usually around 11 am. Other then that, nice staff and clean.

Sad so sad, I wish that I could add a picture of the donuts that was given to us. We paid $14 for a dozen donuts and half of them were flat and dry . So sad.

Ive been here 1 time. They had maybe 10% of their donuts in stock. It was Friday around noon. They only had some jelly filled donuts. Dont waste your time here if you expect some decent donuts.

Quick service with great donuts and iced coffee!

We pre-ordered a dozen of the pumpkin donuts because we havent been able to get them when we go into the store. They are either always out or say they werent sent any. So we decided that it would be best to pre-order. When we went to pick them up the next day, they told us that they werent sent any so they didnt have them for us. We drove 30 minutes to pick them up and nobody from the store had the decency to call us and tell us they didnt have them. Im still not sure they actually sell them since we cant seem to ever get them. We will find donuts elsewhere.

The donuts are always fresh, the customer service is always great, and it’s always super clean in the store. The management really knows what they’re doing!

Although it was 11:00 when we stopped in they still had a wide selection of donuts and they were not busy. I think its really awesome that they will give you a free glazed donut just for having your covid-19 vaccine.

I WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK TO THE ANKENY LOCATION, THESE YOUNG KIDS RUNNING THE PLACE MESSING UP ORDERS SNATCHING BOXES WHEN THEY MAKE MISTAKES THEN PROCEEDS TO TELL ME NO MANAGER ON SITE NOR CAN THEY GIVE ME COROPORATES PHONE NUMBER FOR ME TOO GOOGLE IT. THEN I ASK WHAT THEIR NAMES WERE AND THEY SAY THEY CANT TELL CUSTOMERS THEIR NAMES. LISA THE MANAGER IS A JOKE!

The employees are stellar and always happy, I was on my way home and saw the drive thru- so brought an entire box back to MN with me.

Your morning staff was extremely rude and unprofessional. Yelled at me in front of other customers. Would give negative stars if I had the option. We order frequently for our morning huddle. This is extremely disappointing and will not be coming back again to endorse this kind of behavior.

Nothing compares to a fresh glazed Krispy Kreme doughnut!Please, come back to Rochester, come back to Minnesota! No Kwik Trip doughnut can come close to the original!This particular location is delightfully quaint, and everyone was doing their part in social distancing and mask wearing.

There donuts are great when they have any. They send out email promotions but never seem to have what they are for. They are open till 10, however if its after 5pm be preaired to not have many choices.

Great place for donuts, drove 3 hours from MN for the free senior 2020 donuts. Was definitely worth it despite them running out of the special donuts and just giving out glazed, the workers were still very helpful. 100% worth it!

Krispy Kreme donuts are the BEST!!! but unfortunately this and the Clive location dont carry all the donuts that you see on their website, like the pumpkin cheesecake donut. Thats the only bad thing about these locations, other that customer service is pretty good here. I drive all the way from Ames to Ankeny to get these delicious donuts...yeah, they are that good!!! I hope they open another store in Ames.

The donuts and coffee are amazing! However, the man that appeared to be the manager on shift made the experience not good. He was VERY rude to his employees and it showed in their performance. First he gripped at an employee asking why they werent helping us (we were also still deciding) she had been helping another employee out, not just doing nothing. That clearly made her flustered and she ended up having a tone with us. Another employee ended up finishing ringing us up because the other was making more coffee. I had traded my chocolate milk for water and the girl asked the manager how to take the chocolate milk off. He scoffed at her like she was an idiot and did NOT seem willing to help. Seems to me he shouldnt be a manager. I felt very bad for the employees. They all seemed to be scrambling and working hard.

RJ was excellent. This isnt a place I ever come expecting the type of customer service I got from him. Something in the app didnt work, he helpfully resolved it promptly for me. Im hard pressed to find service like that the places I expect it. Thanks again to RJ!

This location is very clean and fast service! I will say that we had better luck when going earlier in the day for our doughnuts but still good anytime of the day! We love the classic glazed doughnuts and were so excited to have a Krispy Kreme so close! Good location too!

Very limited parking. The plain cake donut I got was stale and had a slight fruity flavor to it (like it was indirectly applied from storing with flavored donuts). It was 9pm though, so I wont knock them below 3 stars. Im sure the donuts are great in the mornings.

Got me what I needed quick, fast, and in a hurry. Considering I live 2 and half hours away and basically just drove down there to get doughnuts, I was pleasantly surprised.

Order 2dozen doughnuts few drinks $35 gave them a 50 told me they cant expect anything over a 20 guess its time to go elsewhere plus the staff was rude from now on its daylight doughnuts for me at least they treat you with respect

I wanted Krispy Kreme but I ended up getting Krispy Kremeless. They were out of all the cream filled donuts. We drove all the way from Rochester MN for these donuts, very disappointed.

They dont make donuts in Ankeny. You cant get what you want there. And all teenagers working here no real supervision

Went to this Krispy Kreme at 9:30pm looking for a couple of dozens of original glazed donuts. I wasnt greeted at the door, and when someone finally did acknowledge me and my friends they told us the servers were down so they werent sure what to do. They asked if we had cash or card, because card would not work. We had cash, but the server then said they wouldnt be able to take cash either. Confused, we stood there unsure if they were going to serve us or not. After standing around for what seemed like forever, another server approached us. She didnt say anything, so I said The servers are down? She said, Yes... so I dont know how to do change. She then asked what we wanted, as she reached for a bag as if she was going to serve us. She then stopped, and just looked at me. I finally had to ask if I was going to be able to buy donuts today, and she kind of scrunched her face without saying anything - I still didnt even get a straight answer.I understand that system issues occur, and I absolutely understand that it might have been hard to figure out change, orders, etc., but we stood around like idiots because we werent sure if we were going to be able to buy the simple donuts we came for. Maybe next time you should turn your open sign off or maybe have the decency to write a note and post it on the door to let people know. Funny how they close at 10pm....coincidence?

Delicious doughnuts, and a very good price. Usually have coupons out, but if not the receipt usually comes with one also. Definitely worth trying out if you never had then before.

Went there in the afternoon and the case was stocked with fresh doughnuts. Great price for a dozen of your choice. Delicious and we will be back the next time we are in the area.
