Milk teas are okay, Ive had better else where, they tasted watered-down but their flavored teas like the grapefruit was quite good!

The ice cream is delicious and unique in presentation. I tried the Oreo cookie with a bit of caramel topping. Yum!

The Real Taro and the brown sugar drinks are superb! This will be my go-to place now instead of going to the chain ones which use the powder.

Sweeting is known for their teas and other drinks, of which they have 100+ options. We didnt try any except BobaTea. Tucked on the back page, is a small appetiser and entrees menu. We ordered two appetisers (grilled Kalamari and octopus balls). Bother were about $5 each and tasted good, the Kalamari being very chewy. The entree was Eel Rice, which turned out good (about $12).The decor is nothing to write home about. Basically, its a big room with a bunch of tables in it. Not very imaginatively designed decor but it works.Overall, they have good food, so-so decor, but a good vibe. The prices are really attractive. You cant go wrong with it!

This place is awesome! Ive seen rolled ice cream on videos but i actually got to try it here on my trip in Ann Arbor! The service was fantastic. All though you have to wait a few mins for your ice cream the wait is so worth it!! The ice cream was amazing!! And the prices there are fair!! I regret not be able to try the bubble tea so Im going to head back sometime for some more treats!

Great place to get boba tea and other sweet drinks! I love their huge variety of choices and the ability to choose how much sugar a drink can have is a real game changer.Drink on left is the Creama Tea. Its sweet and salty, definitely curbs anyones sweet tooth.Drink on right is Japan Matcha British Milk Tea with half sugar. Not sweet, but classic tea flavor is yummy.

Very cute & cozy in here. Huge menu, so there are plenty of options to choose from. They make everything up fresh for you when you order. Everyone is very friendly and they were happy to go over the menu items. I will have to come back and try one of the dessert combos they have, because they looked really good!

Great variety of authentic bubble tea options! They also offer 75%, 50%, 25% sugar options for all drinks and you can substitute for non dairy options like soy milk. Love this place!

Its one of the best bubble tea places in Ann Arbor in my opinion. The employees were nice, and since it was my first time trying Sweeting, the cashier recommended a drink to me, which tasted so good. I was surprised I liked it so much because everyone has different taste. Reasonable prices. The store itself felt cozy. Overall, this will be my 2nd go to place for bubble tea.

Very nice and little bubble tea cafe. I really enjoy their bubble tea and ice cream in particular. Often times I just come here and order a bubble tea and study for hours at a time. It is also a very nice place if you would like to bring a few friends and chat and have bubble tea together.

These people are so jealous of Bubble Island they treat customers so badly for even mentioning Bubble Island. Came here with a friend, and the waitress complained that we brought in an unfinished bubble island tea. She then behaved so rudely, gave silent treatment, and intentionally delayed serving us for 30+ minutes. Also, food came cold intentionally. We see through all their fake smiles. Scum, liars, cheaters.

Friendly staff. The ice cream is really good. Very interesting style of making the ice cream. The green apple smoothie was also very good. There service was a little slow when I was there but Id definitely go back.

I went here 1-2 in the past year and the place has never disappointed. The rolled ice cream is delicious and has always lived up to the standards regardless of the flavors ordered. I got oreo cookies and cream this time and it was made quick and packed with tons of flavor. My friends and I typically drive from Detroit when we have a sweet tooth for some sweetings. That being said, I should probably mention rolled ice cream is one of my least favorite desserts and yet they have me wanting more.

Easily the best bubble tea experience Ive had. The selection is large and everything Ive had is delicious. The decor is cute, and theres usually room to bring a small party to study if you want. The deserts are expensive, but very good. I would recommend this over the other bubble tea options in Ann Arbor.

I love this place. They give you more options than any bubble tea place Ive been to before plus you can try all the cool cuisine there. Plus it just has a very comfy cozy aesthetic inside although it can get a little loud at times.

So many bubble tea flavors! The bubbles here are better overall compared to Bubble Island in terms of both texture and taste.

I have enjoyed all of the drinks that Ive ordered here. The prices are good, and the people are really helpful when trying to select what to drink. The food is also delicious. The ramen came highly recommended, and it was tasty. The dumplings are okay, but I would also recommend trying them as everyone is different.

I cant say enough good things about this place. I was already in love with this place when they only had sweets and then they added authentic Asian food to the menu... every time Im down South U I cant help but hit up this place. The desserts are like none else in Ann Arbor and the bubble tea are done right. I have never tried the ice cream but I heard its good. I tried most of the desserts and it has never failed me... NEVER! Now that they added meals to their menu ... and its really unfair for all the other food businesses around it. The flavor is so authentic and delicious... its almost wrong that they started serving these too! Now... only if this new name will stick. I believe this is the third name that theyre on?

You walk in and it feels like it is a little pricy for rolled ice cream. Then you watch it be made and feel you didnt pay enough. It is such a skill and their tea menu is so exspansive. They have something for everyone.

I really enjoyed my visit to Sweeting. It is very much a boba tea place. Tons of different T options, dessert options, appetizers, and more. I especially like that you can get dairy-free milk tea. They have almond, soy, or coconut milk. The Boba Tea is very good and not too sweet. They have flavored tea options as well. Staff are super kind and helpful and everything is extremely delicious. Highly recommend.

My go-to spot for bubble tea. There’s an almost overwhelming amount of flavors to choose from and if bubble tea’s not your thing, there’s also regular tea, shaved ice, rolled ice cream, and plenty more Asian desserts! Sweeting also has non-dessert food like chicken curry and ramen. The best place in South U to satisfy your sweet tooth.

My favorite drink here is the Bubble tea which is moderately sweet and refreshing. They have a great variety of flavors to choose from and the macaroons are so light and crispy..they melt in your mouth 😋The rolled ice cream that is sooo good makes this place a dessert destination in Ann Arbor.

I love Sweetings! After some less than ideal experiences trying bubble tea at bubble island, a friend brought me here, and Ive been hooked ever since! I always get the mango green tea with boba, but they have a huge menu, which includes food and hand rolled ice cream. Love the decor and love this spot!

What a fantastic place! Sweeting has such an expansive menu- there is truly something to fit everybodys taste and preferences. They have so many options in terms of bubble tea flavors, and so many ways to customize it to make it your own! My personal favorite drink is the Wintermelon Frostea- its so delicious and you cant get it anywhere else!I recommend this place to all of my friends whenever they are in town, and they all have loved it as well!

Sweeting is sweet!

This place seems to experience a new identity every few months but at least the bubble tea and desserts have been consistent. While its evident that this is a business still trying to figure out what it wants to be when it grows up the food/drinks here are none the less authentic, tasty, and worth checking out. There are other places in Ann Arbor that offer bubble tea but once you try sweeting you will notice the difference (and its a good one)

My wife and there went for the first time the other day. It reminded us of the great little boba joints around southern California.

Most genuine bubble tea I can find in Michigan, but doesnt compare to the boba in LA. Sweeting uses powder for their flavored drinks, much like bubble island across the street, but I definitely find sweeting to have higher quality base milk tea. They also serve some reasonably good food, and their staff is polite and respectful. I wish they were around when I was still an undergraduate!

Everyone here is super nice, and the tea is great, along with the bubbles. They have a great consistency. However, the tea is super strong so look out for that.

First off I order a few thing from here it was my first time here the potato twist it came out burned then i order the mochi fruit wrapped it came out to be old and smelly with a super sour taste I saw them in the back making it and they was smelling the fruit and tasted it and from the look the fruits were already went bad but they still put it in the mochi anyways. This place is dirty doesnt seem clean the stuff they put inside the drinks and to make the food doesnt seem clean nor does it seem safe. I went here because it seem like a nice place with a lot of good reviews but it turn out to be a let down I wouldnt recommend this to anyone it might give you food poising.

I love this place! I went with two Chinese friends who told me this is exactly what a bubble tea shop in China looks like. The environment is Asian pop: you will see a wall covered in posters of American pop icons, and a bookcase filled with Japanese beauty and pop magazines. The menu is authentic: try the mango wrapped mochi, or, for a more exotic experience, try the durian fruit dessert (warning: I couldnt eat more than two bites). Wash it down with the green bean soup milk tea (it has crushed beans instead of tapioca balls).

A good place to get boba, but I ordered the lavender milk tea and got a bunch of fresh lavender in my drink. This was unpleasant as I did not want to be eating or filtering out lavender bits while chewing on boba. Otherwise the people were nice and decorations were cute. Food is good, and they even have some nice Asian magazines, which is awesome. The only thing I feel bad is the food comes slow and you need to be extra alerted to know when your food is ready.
