I’ve visited this location many times throughout my 20 years here in Apex, and I can’t say I ever remember having a single negative experience. One team member that stands out and is consistently helpful, knowledgeable, and patient with questions and assistance is Caleb. He’s super nice and knows his stuff. Ive been coming to this location for a few years and have never been particularly impressed. However, today was the final straw. I came in around 3:45-4 pm (June 5th, 2021,) and at least 6 employees were working. I was standing at the front counter for a few minutes, and three of them walked past, one even looking at me directly in the eyes. Instead of offering to help, they went to the back (in the view of customers) and starting having a gossip circle about other employees. I waited over 5 minutes and walked right out of the store. I saw another customer walkout as well when I was driving off. Advance Auto Parts is garbage. Their prices are higher than any other auto parts store Ive seen (Autozone & OReilly), and their customer service is horrific. This isnt just one store either about 2 years ago an associate tried to accuse me of stealing at a different Advance store in Cary. The sad part is that this is right by my house. I will never shop at an Advance store again, and I highly advise anybody else who values their time or money to never shop at Advance.
Staff is friendly and helpful...They can test your battery..Like this store over other Auto Nations..nobody has been rude to me in over 3 years
They were short staffed when I came but the employees worked quickly to give each customer attention and accurate parts.

I was really disappointed going to the store this afternoon. While Tristan was very helpful today, A man named Justin was standing right at the front door smoking a cigarette. The whole store suddenly smelled of cigarette smoke. When he came in he didn’t even wear a mask. I also noticed that a number of patrons were not wearing masks. I decided to leave not feeling like safety precautions were even a consideration.
I am in the process of replacing my trailer hub races, bearings, and oil seals. Tristin was exceptionally helpful. The first time I walked in at 8:40p and he insisted on helping me out by researching what I needed and staying late. The second day he found answers to all my questions. It would have been such a hassle without all of his help. Ask for Tristin if you are having difficulties finding answers to your questions.
Great experience with changing dead battery! Friendly and helped with the install. Gave lots of options on battery replacements. My go-to place now 👍
I’ve been coming here for years and have never had a problem testing a product on my older vehicle before paying for it. Today I brought in a piece of metal to test some paint with and the punk behind the counter said I can’t spray a small quantity of paint onto the metal. I just needed to make sure it matched the paint of my car. I have never had an issue doing this elsewhere.Advanced Auto Parts should invest more time into hiring knowledgeable and respectful workers so they don’t loose sales like they did today from me.This happened Sunday October 6th, 2019 at 2:45 PM.

David went above and beyond when he replaced my battery by solving two other problems and helping me navigate the order process. Very knowledgeable and friendly.
Came in needed help with my battery the store manager JUSTIN said sure and asked me to wait for them at car so I did, after waiting for 15 minutes he help every other person who came in after that was white, and then told me I had to wait my turn even though I was here first. I am a an African American had to nerve to tell me that I wasnt priority. Then refused to give me the district Managers number.

I came to return a part, and the guy said he could return. i used my debit card to pay for the party, but unfortunately lost it. So i asked if i could have it in cash form SINCE I USED A DEBIT CARD! he apparently was the manager. definitely didn’t act like it . so i definitely won’t be coming back. he insisted that’s how they do things here. But i called a different store and they said they would return it since i have my receipt and i paid with a DEBIT CARD ! this was just another employee who obviously didn’t know how to handle a return .
Needed to check a battery and alternator. Both ended up being bad. Luckily battery was under warranty from 2 years ago so was able to pull it up on my phone and get a free replacement. Although online sales and in store sales still arent linked. Quick and convenient service.
Store had one other customer... Two employees... and me. No one asked if they could help me...or even acknowledged my presence... Was apparently out of one of the items I needed (and had to find in the store myself... :-/ )... When I inquired (after waiting 2 minutes standing right in front of the counter till the employee decided he could be bothered helping me) he didnt offer to look in the back for more, offer a replacement suggestion... or even a rain check on an order. He just shrugged and said Were obviously out of those then. and went back to his computer terminal (dont know what was more important than helping at that point the ONE SINGLE IN PERSON CUSTOMER he had in the store ?????).... Left, went up the street to Walmart (which I HATE to even step inside of...) and got what I needed for half the price. Thanks for absolutely nothing!!!! ..... One star?? You guys dont even deserve that.

Excellent service every time that Ive been there. Quick and easy. No attitudes at all. Everyone there has always been pleasant to me whether I go there to ask for a free diagnostic, or buy a simple item or buy an expensive item. They give very good input, and will help install simple things on your car ( e.g. wiper bleeds, etc) if you need the help. These guys are really great. Ive been going there since Ive been in Apex. So if you need something, feel free to stop by.
A month ago, I went to the store to replace a headlight bulb. I didnt realize Advance doesnt provide this service though they sell bulbs so I asked if they could send me somewhere else. Though the 2 men were firm that this is not a service they supply, one of the men said hed take a look and see if it could be replaced easily. I was in a pretty desperate situation trying to get to my father whod been put in ICU 2 hours away. The fact this man put my light in for me allowed me to get to my father safely while he was still alert (he passed away) and my mother who needed me. I dont know the name of this person, but he was a real blessing.
Went there with a dead battery. I was greeted upon entering and once I explained the situation they tested it promptly. The battery was to dead to give a reading as to its capability. The rep gave me two options, the first to leave the battery with them overnight to build a full charge and retest or to puchase a new battery. I appreciated the options.
Was not sure if my battery needs to be replaced. So Will from the store was very helpful in checking if the battery was still ok. When it tested fine, suggested to diagnose the starter and charging system. Best of all is that its free!
Nice location and easy to access
Absolutely disappointed in the staff and manager. They refused to refund me money after their part went bad after 2 months. They only offered store credit. I will never spend another dime there again. To many auto parts stores in Apex to be that arrogant.

Store Manager is smug, and not knowledgeable. He refused to allow a return because the packaging was open, not even for a store credit. Keep in mind the part was purchased because Advanced told me it was what I needed for my vehicle. How was I supposed to know that the drum brake spring kit THAT YOU PROVIDED ME was for the wrong vehicle without opening it? I had to reuse the existing springs because you gave me a kit for a different vehicle.He then tried to argue that the kit was missing parts. Wrong again kid! There are only two large colored sprigs per kit, not four. One for each rear drum. They are color coded for passenger versus driver side.Do yourself a favor and drive down to AutoZone...
The staff was very helpful in explaining all the options I had for what I need for my car, I actually learned a few things. They also helped me install my new, silicone, windshield wipers, which by the way, are the best windshield wipers Ive ever had. Will be going back.

I have been living around Raleigh and Cary my whole life Ive always been to an AutoZone or Advance Auto but have I ever been treated like s*** like I have this one the one on Williams Street in Apex North Carolina. I had a flat tire less than 1 mile from their store had an issue with getting off one of the lug nuts on the side of the road drove it to their store to get a loaner tool to get the tire off so I can continue on with my day and what do you know got go no help from ANY EMPLOYEE!.. and was also told there was no loaner tools!!??.. so my advice to anyone that has a flat tire in Apex North Carolina do not go to the Advance Auto on William Street!!
Bought the high end ceramic brake pads for my car. Limited lifetime warranty. They started making weird noise before worn out. I found out warranty was basically bogus.

Very disappointed with the store manager. We needed to return a defective ignition coil which was purchased at another advance Auto Parts store. The staff wasted some 45 minutes processing the refund. At the end I was told by the manger that all they could do is replace it with a new one.Since the one old was a defective part and I had to pay labor again to install it the second time, the last thing I wanted to do is buy another one from the same manufacturer!Any how, next time we will take our business elsewhere, that is all I can do as a consumer!
