The employees were super helpful and answered all the questions I had about parts and what would work best with the PC I am building. The person that helped me had plenty of recommendations for what parts would work well together with the components I already have. While prices on some components can be a little bit higher than online it is worth it to not have to deal with shipping and be able to have the parts in your hands when you leave.

If only I could give a lesser rating... My children are currently attending school online due to the pandemic. The school district uses this company to purchase and distribute their laptops through (though the parents are financially responsible to the business for the laptops). I ordered the two laptops for my kids in September and when they hadnt arrived by the second week of October I called and left multiple messages for Tom (Ive been informed that hes the only one who oversees this program). When I called again for the fourth time and was finally able to speak with him, Tom said I should have gotten an email with instructions on how to put my credit card on file for the laptops. I informed him that I hadnt gotten the e-mail and I was surprised to hear that the two laptops had just been sitting in (his) office this entire time only because I hadnt filled out this email. I asked why they let them just sit there rather than calling me to get them shipped out, and Tom stated to me that he had five other laptops on his desk for students whose parents didnt fill out the email and told me theres no way hed have time to call all (as in all six of) those parents.After one month of use my daughters laptop stopped connecting to anything - we cant get the internet on it, we cant get it to connect to the printers, etc. I called the business and again it took multiple attempts to reach Tom, but after I was able to troubleshoot with him over the phone he told me that the business would send us a new laptop with a postage paid box to return the old one in. Its been over 3 weeks now and we havent received anything. This company is getting paid ($320 per laptop from my kids alone!) through the school and the parents to ensure kids have access to computers when schools are shut down and this is the quality of service they give?? As a parent homeschooling one first and one fifth grade student while working full time plus mandated overtime in public safety I dont have time to drive the four hours to the store (and back) to deal with this issue in person. Clearly this isnt a business who cares about quality of service or product.

Honestly cant give this shop enough praise. Had exactly what i wanted and asked for and didnt try to upsale me on it when I didnt need it. Icing on the cake is theyre actually knowledgeable. You can use gamer/techy language.... go to best buy and try that and theyll have a blank stare. If you need parts this is the place to go.

I went to this store to get a few items because I didnt want to wait for them to be shipped every item was $10 more expensive than Amazon but $10 was worth the price so i didnt have to wait. I called before I came in the guy I talked to on the phone seemed friendly when I got there the old guy working in the back had a horrible attitude came at me some sort of way because I didnt get my computer from there and I kept getting the feeling they were trying to rush me out the door its like man Im fixing to spend $200 here and potentially thousands more throughout the next couple years considering Im in school to be a software developer but the guys attitude did not cut it bad first impression but a first impression is all it takes I wont be going back into this store Ill just order my stuff off the internet and watch them go out of business just like the video rental store.

I am very impressed by Milwaukee PC at the Appleton location. Mike and Tom are extremely helpful both prior to and after the sale. These individuals helped me to configure my computer in just the way that I needed. I especially appreciated how Tom took the time to remotely configure my computer when I was encountering email issues after I had taken the computer home.These two individuals are consummate professionals and I would strongly encourage you to contact them if you are considering the purchase of a new computer or laptop. I would strongly encourage you to work with them as opposed to a big box store and you will not be disappointed.

Very reasonable pricing and extremely knowledgeable staff. Ive worked with many projects over about 10 years and never had a problem. The huge array of services they offer is impressive too such as 8mm film conversion and advanced data recovery. I wouldnt have expected that from a non- national company but they do it. Id recommended then to anyone.

I was referred to Milwaukee PC by a trusted friend who is a expert in IT support, specifically hardware. My laptop had suffered one of the most common issues; a DC adapter failure. If youve ever tripped over your power cord, you will relate.I had taken my laptop to a big box store a year earlier for repair. After 5 weeks and several hundred dollars, it was functional but not correctly repaired.Milwaukee PC is very upfront with their pricing structure, which is incredibly fair. We discussed the issue and they actually listened to my description of my problem (I had removed the thousand screws and removed the housing the see for myself what the problem was).Tom at Milwaukee PC called me promptly after completing the diagnostic, suggested the repairs required and outlined the total cost of all the services. The next day I was notified that the problem was fixed and my laptop was ready for pick up.I pleased to say that after I removed the thousand screws to verify the work, Tom and his team had completely exactly what we had discussed.I would recommend Milwaukee PC to anyone in need of PC repair. They also have a great section of systems and accessories available for sale at very fair prices.Check them out!

Great service, reasonable pricing. I had an issue with my computer that was relatively easy to fix looking back at it. The first time I brought my computer in, they explained what the issue was and I was able to do what I could to get that part. When the part came, the system still didnt start, but because I was in there a couple days prior and already paid for diagnostics, they troubleshooted the computer for free, prioritizing the service since they already knew the system. Great guys to work with, really recommend them.

Walked in this place, looking, pricing different components for the type of computer I wanted to build, the man working there was kind, and knew exactly what I was talking about, I never mentioned I used to work at one of IBMs data center, and I was a Linux Server Admin. He helped me realize what parts would work great for my project, I was not planning to buy anything, but I did it anyway. It felt so good to not feel like I was at a car lot, this is probably why I bought it the same day. I was able to take my time, and make a plan for my project. After buying the supplies, I completed the project, it is exactly what was expected, now it is the next day, I am even more happy I made my choice at Milwaukee PC. Thank you for being GREAT!!!

I have used there services for about 2 years now. Thats Internet as well as customer service. They are very nice. They work with you to get what you need when you need it. They are a great Internet provider as they have a flat rate. Unlike youre normal provider that jacks up the price ever month. Prices are kind of high but if you need something right away then this is a good shop. Unless youre looking for gpu brace supports then theyll tell you they dont exist and interrupt you while you try to explain what they are and talk down to you and try to sell you a new case that comes with a brace.Overall an okay shop for most needs.

Polite and knowledgeable staff. Often they dont have things in stock and they are a little over priced for regular stuff (not bad) and way over priced for repair ($40 for a system restore? $100 for a system restore with a Windows reinstall?). If you know exactly what youre looking for and can wait a couple days, go Amazon. If you dont know what you need or you cannot wait, go here. The staff seem to have an incredible offhand knowledge of which parts are compatible with which other parts for best performance.

My laptop screen went black but the rest of my computer worked fine. They told me that my motherboard fried and I needed to buy a new laptop. Needless to say, I took it to one of my close friends and he replaced the screen for $100 and it worked perfectly - without needing to buy a new laptop. Do not recommend to anybody.

If I could have a minus stars, I would. My computer has been there for 3 weeks. Everytime I speak to someone it is always negative, my computer is old, hp is junk, or some other demeaning comment.I walk in today to pick up my computer to take to a different place for a 2nd opinion and I noticed a inch sized gouge in my screen. The kid there said Its no big deal, its not worth a thing anyway...its junk.I am livid. The customer service is awful, negative, and if they cant or wont fix your stuff, its junk.

Let me tell you about my attempts to get a laptop screen replaced here.It started well. I was quoted my price on a Sunday and told itd be read in 3-5 days. No problem. Wednesday comes and I get a call saying ok, we just ordered the part. Should be read sometime this weekend. A delay, but fine.They call that weekend and say its ready, then correct themselves and say they were actually looking at the wrong computer, and that mine isnt ready. Another delay and come confused communication. Now its getting a little iritating.Eventually I go in, and they say they the part isnt in yet, but that the definitely order it. A few days after that they say the part didnt ship and theyre ordering it for real this time.I then go to pick it up again, pay for it, then check the computer and they hadnt actually done ANYTHING to it. The crack was still right there on the screen. They promised to refund my payment and took it back (its been 5 days and I still have no refund).Today I went in because they said it was done for real this time. I picked it up. Looked good. I turned it on and the screen was flickering black.Its been 2.5 weeks, multiple calls, and two false claims of it being fixed. I still dont have it. The staff is friendly, but that doesnt mean a lot when a simple fix has turned into a nightmare of terrible communication, lies about it being fixed, and days turning into weeks. Theyve offered a discount of about 35%, but Id much rather have paid full price and gotten the work done more quickly and professionally.Update: I was called by the owner, who responded below, for an update on the repair (everything should be done tomorrow; Ill update once everything is finished). I stressed that the money was still gone from my account, but he was adamant that I was mistaken, which he mentioned below as well. I then got another call back saying I was correct and that their void hadnt gone through. Add that to the list of frustrations and communication issues.

We use these guys for our companies laptop needs. The prices might be slightly higher for parts but you dont have to wait 3+ days to get something like memory. They recently helped me out with used parts for my older laptop, great prices to get the thing up and running.

My screen had a crack in it after I just opened up my lid. Took it to Best Buy, told them Ive had the pc for 4-5 months and it just cracked. The guy at Geek Squad told me that it wasnt covered under my warranty because it looked like I stepped on it or dropped something on it. I asked him how the heck could he tell that? No clear answer on how, I stood there dumbfounded and told the guy that I didnt step nor did I drop something on it. They told me I could send it in for them to look at but that would cost $50 and potentially another $300+. To top it off the kid that was helping, started to show me how they were going to fix it and potential problems with more cracking and he grabs the screen where it is cracked and makes a bigger one.Took it to Milwaukee PC, they said they could fix it for $150. About $100 for the part and the rest for the 30 minutes of labor. Best Buy told me it would take them about 3 hours to fix it. I was very happy with the service at Milwaukee PC.

I recently used Milwaukee PC as a service to repair my laptop computer. I called ahead and made an appointment to drop off the computer, which was suffering a malfunction with the screen. I was told on the phone and in person, that the computer would be ready to pick up by the following Saturday.When I arrived the following Saturday at 03:00 PM, the computer was not completed. In fact, the computer didnt even seem like it had been diagnosed. I ended up hearing from a store employee later that evening and when I brought my concern of the computer not being completed to his attention, he told me that, We never tell our customers when the computer will be finished, only when we should have it diagnosed by. This same employee then told me that the computer repair would cost me $170.00 and it should be ready on Tuesday.The following Tuesday, I waited until 03:30 to contact the shop. I spoke with an employee who informed me that the UPS truck had already come and the part for my computer hadnt come yet. I asked him if the computer would be finished on time as quoted and he replied that there was still another UPS truck coming and he would let me know. I never received a phone call.The next day (Wednesday) at 06:00PM, I was finally contact and told my computer was completed. I went to the store and was charged $178.00 for the computer repair, no discount for the misquoted time given for the repair.That evening I went to boot up my computer and now my computer is running very slow. It took nearly 15 minutes for the computer to get to the Welcome screen to password in. When I dropped that computer off, it took about 2 minutes... max.All in all, I paid $178.00 and waited 12 days to get my computer back to me. I have spent all night running virus diagnostics and de-fragmentation software to see if that will speed things up any.Now, in full disclosure I must say that the store was apparently doing a new grand opening at a new location in Appleton. This being said, there is NO REASON for this type of customer service. To tell a customer a job will be completed and then fail to complete the task not once, but twice is unacceptable. You can bet I will not be returning to them, nor will I be recommending this business to anyone!

Took my rig in after not being able to boot to windows, not on a disk or USB. After being given a 3 day estimate, I finally got my PC back one week and a hundred dollars later, and all they did was slap a bandaid on it after a serious motherboard issue. The PC ran smooth and great for 2 days before it crashed again and refused to boot. Take your business elsewhere.

Working with Milwaukee PC - Appleton has been a 5-Star experience all the way! It began when a good friend introduced me to the store. Tom and his staff built a high-end, high-speed machine specifically for Photoshop photo processing, and its performance has been amazing! They have also upgraded the machine several times as my business has grown. Since then they have built three other machines for my wife and me - all for running OFFICE software, but just as effective as the first one.We had previously bought several computers from the big-brand builders, but had become frustrated with the hard-to-understand support personnel. The good news about MPC is that the store is local, and I can take our machines in for problem solving and upgrading.What is really great is that they deliver computers that meet our needs; they service them locally; and the prices for their computers are still competitive with the mass-produced brands.Now you can see why it is a no-brainer to keep going back to Tom and his staff.

Ive had a bad experiences with this place and selling a power supply out from under me for emergency repair, but other then that MPC is a decent place to get items you need right away. There prices might not always be cheapest if you shop online, but good if you need something now and cant wait for a part to be shipped this is the local place to go.

Manager Tom Lison is dishonest and unprofessional. He glibly offers excuses but does not accept responsibility.Voicemails are not returned. Staff do not communicate with each other, resulting in execrable customer “service.” Service estimates are a joke. The form says 3 days. The verbal estimate is five days. Nine days later? Zip, zilch, nada.Go elsewhere. You have a myriad of choices.

Came in around holidays to get a copy of WIN 7 installed on an SSD for a nice widescreen laptop neither Microsoft or HP would support me getting Windows 8.1 back off its crashing ass. They were a little slow getting the work finished up due to business volume and holidays- so they gave me a discount. Very professional, store was busy, probably because they do an outstanding job, and they still helped me out. Price was reasonable, technicians knowledgeable and friendly, would and will do business again!I have had 3 PCs fixed up here.Take it from me this is the place to go when you need a PC fixed up!

I took in an iPad and a laptop for repair. The iPad needed the glass replaced and the laptop needed the keyboard replaced. Was told the iPad would take 1-2 days. NINE days later I received word it was ready. Was told twice that the laptop repair would be $40 - but when it was *finally* completed, I was charged $70 for the repair. Ive been in IT for over 2 decades - I could have done the repairs myself (as could my spouse), but theyre a bit of a hassle and for the price it was worth it to have it done. Had I been informed of the increase in price I would have done the repairs myself - however, as I was never notified of the jump in expense (or notified of *anything* despite the promises to call me - the only time they actually called back was when my husband called them, so typical for IT!), I was stuck with the option of paying the additional, unauthorized expense or forfeiting my daughters 1 year old laptop. This is not only unethical but violates the states consumer protection laws. I swore wed never return. Well be returning today however, so they can FIX the things they broke on the machine! I wouldnt send my worst enemy here.

Had motherboard on laptop failed Saturday - so I wanted new laptop computer - Tom from MKE PC said he would order one and I would have everything ready by Tuesday 5 PM. I called Tuesday at 4 PM and they said data was being transferred and it would be ready. Called at 5:30 PM to be sure that it was ready - a that time I was told that the new laptop did not arrive but they would check on it tomorrow. Even after they kept saying they would keep me informed never did I get a call about status about when I would get computer. Finally I got the computer 24 hours late and when I turned the laptop on it was not programed as agreed. I specially went to MKE PC because I want the data cloned from my last computer. Instead of Internet Explorer they left everything in Microsoft Bing - they did not transfer Favorites, drivers and on and on. Still have issues with backup data but not worth time to work with them at MKE PC.For what they did at MKE PC I could have gone to a box store and got better service, better product for less price. Forget about shopping local when it comes to MKE PC.

I arrived with one simple task at this specific location. I ask for them to test my cpu, who i was talking then proceeded to say they could preform a series of tests for 42 dollars. Whatever. I paid, and before i left urged they tested my cpu before anything. All the person at the counter could say was that its highly unlikely and to be completely honest treated me like I knew nothing the whole time. Needless to say when i came back at a later date I was informed my motherboard was toast. The first question i asked was are you positive its not the cpu he seemed sure, so i went home and bought a new motherboard. I am now sitting here writing this because i am most certain they took my money and didnt do any testing at all. A simple flip of the cpu and the computer would work fine and they would know that if they did it. Thanks for the waste of the 42 dollars in testing, a week and 155 dollars for a new replacement motherboard for no reason.

My power supply on my home desktop suddenly stopped working so I went to MPC for a replacement.They had a lot of psus to choose from and the prices were fair but slightly marked up compared to online. Either way, they had what I needed, instant gratification is always a plus.I got the psu home and found out that I needed 2 pci express 6 pin plugs. The power supply I picked up only had one. I thought for sure that my error would cost me a 15% restocking fee, but the guys at mpc were kind enough to give me a molex to six pin adapter free of charge for shopping at their store.Im giving the store a 4 out of 5 stars for their good customer service. Only way I would have given 5 is if they increased the hours of operation and opened the doors on sunday.

Average in prices, and the top guy knew what he was talking about and was very helpful. Athough, the (probably) new guy didnt communicate very well and overlooked a lot of things, whether he was just not having a good day, in a rush/inexperienced, or was just too confident Im not sure. But hey, you gotta learn somehow.
