Stopped by on a whim in the morning. Great service, great latte, great atmosphere. Some nice little items for sale. People of all ages sitting and enjoying the food and ambiance
Their large cup is considered small to medium at most other coffee shops.Their standard cup of black coffee is watery and weak. Their selection of items to eat is very small, and what they do have is nothing special and the bare minimum of whats required to make for a pleasant bite to eat. I expected something a little more out of a $3.00 small/ medium cup of coffee. The employees are pretty and competent, the inside and outside is clean, parking is easy, easy in easy out. I was underwhelmed and knew I can erase this place off of my list of places to visit again. I was let down.
Delicious Matcha! The baked goods are very good too. The people that work here are always friendly, and the atmosphere is nice. My new regular coffeehouse.
Good coffee and places inside/out to chat
Cute vibe, coffee is very bright. Mask required still. 🙄 good thing covid doesn’t transmit when seated. Lots of fun accessories and cute boho shopping.
What a wonderful place! Went there today for the first time, and I will definitely be going back. Claire is such a delight. It’s eclectic, super friendly and has a great atmosphere with superb coffee and pastries. It’s one of the coolest places around!
Very unique. Great coffee. Quaint and a must if you are nearby.
Love their mocha ice coffee and their homemade whip cream! so good!!
Well this place is just an absolute treasure for those who appreciate an alternative to the mainstream coffee shop. They have a wide variety of coffees and teas all of which are delightful. I am a huge fan of their turmeric drink, its like a spicy chai, but better. Their pastries are also fantastic, if youre in the mood for that. And of course their service is wonderful as well, there are never long lines and everything is neat, clean, and quite stylish there. I love this coffee shop. They do close early, so check to make sure theyre open before you go.
This is such a cute coffee shop with an excellent variety of coffees and teas! There is also an assortment of pastries and breakfast sandwiches. There is indoor and outdoor seating and dogs are allowed on the patio. I loved drinking my Chai tea out on their patio!
Good coffee, had a muffin. Good. Cute gift area. Nice things. Ill go back. I live here.
You cant beat the atmosphere and I was astonished with how good the coffee is. Ive tried so many different drinks and I love them all. If youre a true coffee lover... Not the Starbucks, a little coffee in your sugar type... But really love coffee, youll love this place.
I love Tribe Coffeehouse - it has a friendly vibe, lovely environment, comfortable seating, and they let my dog hang out outside. Great drinks, too!
Best coffee in town, every drink is yummy, pastries are really good too. Decorations and staffs are so welcoming. Love this place :)
Interesting place, different than your typical Starbucks.
Update: (Allegedly) The owner is unwilling to accommodate visually impaired employees. I’ll be going to Quintessa from now on.Original: My favorite coffeehouse in the Grover Beach / Arroyo Grande area. I have tried 6 coffeehouses in the area but I always come back to Tribe. The coffee is very smooth / milky. They have alternate milk options. I get almond milk in my coffee. The whole shop has a very cute vibe. I’ve bought postcards, stickers, and a sweater from here. The greeting cards, calendars and bath products also look super cute.
Best coffee house ever!!!!! How do you like your coffee?Like I like my women; strong, dark, armed, dangerous & opinionated!!!!~ Scott Michael Howell
Best coffee and tea shop around.
This is the first visit for me an I love the charm and quaintness. I sat in the room with the fireplace. So relaxing and calming. Fire going, nice music to sip my latte to in a peaceful setting. It was nice to take a break out of a busy day. Coffee was wonderful, staff very helpful and polite. I will definitely return often.
I like their treats and pastries however Im not a big fan of their coffee.
Stay away from this place. They fired a fully capable qualified employee w visual impairment. Let this be a learning opportunity for your business. People really do care more about your actions than your Coffee. Shame on this business you broke so my hearts.
DiscriminationA friend of mine. The situation as told by a former teacher of hers... my former student who graduated with honors from a local high school and is now at Cal Poly recently applied for a barista position at Tribe Coffee House in Arroyo Grande, Ca recently. She wanted to work at a small business and liked the vibe. She obviously impressed them at the interview as they hired her. She did not disclose her visual impairment during the interview as it did not come up naturally (and is not legally required to). At the end of her first two hours training with the manager, she casually brought up to the manager how great it was that the cash register was electronic and therefore, very visually accessible. She then shared that she was visually impared and the manager was very sweet and said they could accommodate her. Upon arrival at her next scheduled shift she was met by the owner and the manager and asked to explain her visual condition, which she did. The owner then gave her a series of tests to do to evaluate her vision. The only task she was not able to complete successfully was to read the measurement on a clear measuring cup filled with water and devoid of any contrasting markings from over 3 feet away. (I remind you she is visually impaired and I dont think I could do this accurately with normal vision on a clear measuring cup from a distance.) However, she gave the owner strategies that she would use to ensure that she had the correct amount in the cup including memorizing each level and visually confirming it before inserting it into the espresso machine. The owner then informed her that they would be removing her from the weeks schedule and that she could go home and they would do more research on her visual impairment. The owner called her the following afternoon and informed her that the position was not right for her and that it might be a good idea to apply at Dutch Bros. or Starbucks where they could accommodate her visual impairment. What bothers me most about this situation is that the owner did not even give her a chance and set her up to fail. My student had and shared strategies she would use and they were disregarded. She wasnt even given the opportunity to demonstrate how she could complete the task! Additionally, it seems Dutch Bros and Starbucks are better able to provide measuring tools with readable print on them than this small business and allow the individual to hold the cup where they can see it. I find this hard to believe. The ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) protects employees of business with more than 15 employees. Since this business does not meet this criteria they are exempt from the same standards and can do as they please. So it seems that in the eyes of the law this sort of treatment is legal but it certainly does not make it right or ethical. A marked measuring cup doesnt sound like an undue burden for a small business to provide for an accomodation. This makes me sad, frustrated, and disappointed. While I’m certain that in the owners mind she was just trying to reduce her own perceived liability and possibly ensure my students safety based on very limited information, the owner lost out on a great employee. But worse yet, she gave my student her first life lesson in employment discrimination due to her visual impairment.
Always great coffee & vibe there. This morning was quiet and peaceful.
Clean coffee shop with a great vibe and very nice people. I will definitely stop by if I am in the area again. Excellent coffee too!
Great coffee and baked goods. Nice vibe inside and out with an obvious attention to details. Excellent team helping make the experience enjoyable!
Good ambiance and service. Coffee seem a bit on the weak side, even when ordering an extra shot.
I love Tribe Coffeehouse! It has the best coffee and friendly service. I highly recommend you go there for your next cup of joe!
Very nice & comfortable seating
Coffee is fantastic we stop here everytime we are in the area. The service is exceptional and we always buy something fun from their shop to celebrate our visit.
We stopped in for a leisurely coffee and breakfast sandwich. I had the spinach and feta croissant and a lavender & honey breve. Both were delicious. The coffee is fresh and flavorful without being bitter, and the pastries are excellent, and gone by 10:00 am. The ambience is lovely, airy and comfortable. Don’t miss this local business.
Best Coffee ever... Wish I was closer.. What a treat. I am from out of Town. But Ill be back when I am in you neck of the woods..
Best coffee in town. Staff is amazing too.
Excellent coffee. The outdoor seating is really nice.
Great little shop, we ordered a dirty chi and a vanilla latte with coconut milk. Tasty drinks.
Large selection of delicious, local, organic tea, great coffee, skilled beverage experts, plus high vibes make this my favorite coffee shop in town. Plenty of cool spots to catch up with a friend or chill with your laptop. I always feel inspired when Im there and get a lot of writing done. The staff are super friendly and welcoming. Youll often find the owners there and you can tell they built this business out of love.
Staff is so nice! Personally my favorite chai is from Tribe. They are my new go to hang out place with my friends. Has the best cafe lattes and the coffee in general is delicious. If you are just visiting for a warm cup of coffee you should really stop by. By far the best staff. Warm and cozy little coffee shop.
Delicious coffee, awesome patio space, wheelchair accessible coffee shop!
Tribe is fantastic! My wife and I love Tribe - the vibe, the coffee, etc. I was just reminded by Yelp of one of their competitors (which has a better cappuccino) but the vibe overall at Tribe makes it the best coffee place in the area (I say with some minor hedging).
What a wonderful coffee shop. Great coffee and fantastic service. I ordered a cappuccino and it was delicious. Also, their monkey bread was fantastic. Wish we had time to stop and sit but we got our coffee to go. Worth swinging by.
Super cute cafe. The staff is amazing, exceptional customer service. All of the coffee is very good and artistic. The food is also very good. Highly recommend.
Really great cup of Ethiopian drip style coffee. Big patio to lounge with plenty of distancing.
Best little coffee shop in town! The coffee and pastries are top quality, coming from Seattle I was quite impressed .The barista’s were very friendly and helpful. The outdoor patio area is huge and very clean. I highly recommend checking this place out for your self .
Great atmosphere and vibe. Service was excellent. The layout is nice as there are several areas to tuck away into as well as a large outside patio to enjoy some fresh air. Beautifully designed interior, very sharp and clean all around!
Good matcha latte. But is the owner Native American? I sure hope so.
This place has the best atmosphere and vibe. Always feel welcomed. Oh yeah, and the drinks are great tooa
Cute little coffee shop that my daughter loves so I come here with and for her often. They do have Ts and Juice as well.
The drinks at this coffee shop definitely arent as good as they used to be
My car was being smogged so I walked across the street to Tribe, for the first time. Really cute inside, everyone was super nice, and I really liked the coffee...better than Starbucks for me. :)
Nice little shop. Friendly staff. CBD available in case is needed
Had really good coffee with dried flower leaves in them. Almond croissant was very tasty. The vibe was also very cool and quaint.
Tribe Coffeehouse has my favorite almond milk latte! I also love the decor and overall vibe! The baristas and owners are great too!
Great coffee and a cool spot. Big patio!
Coffee and breakfast was nice and relaxing sitting on the patio
Very lovely place and staff was so awesome. Coffee was great and they had a nice gift selection.
Great vibes. Friendly and welcoming staff. Had a black drip coffee and it was very smooth, didn’t notice any bitterness and the taste was so good. My wife had a latte and it was perfect.
Cute place. I love seeing local spots open up as opposed to Starbucks. Really good coffee and baked goods.
Really cute place. Dont like the coffee unfortunately. Very strong and no mild brew. Food is good however.
Nice place to stop in ...Were from Ventura so decided to pop in on our trip to Pismo...friendly staff clean well put together coffee spot
Cute decor but unfortunately the coffee was not very good. Very watered down and the water they use has a bit of a metal taste. Excellent potential if they start making better coffee.
Love the Gluten free scones from this place, and their coffee is very good too.
Great coffee, beautiful and spacious interior, mellow staff. Highly recommend especially for out of towners looking for the best local independents. A short drive from the village and well worth it.
For the Five. Cities area, this is the best coffee house. If your over Starbucks try the Tribehouse. Very comfortable atmosphere and friendly people.
Let me tell you good service all smile and great coffee love this place
Tribe Coffee is my favorite place to meet friends for coffee. It has a warm atmosphere, a friendly staff, amazing coffee, and wonderful baked goods.
Great customer service. Nice working space. Beautifully crafted beverages. Will be back. And back again. And again.
Love their coffee!
Many areas to sit and visit, great parking, super customer service and of course, delicious coffee.
Nice staff and absolutely gorgeous inside and outside. Very good coffee and they made my 3 kids very yummy hot chocolate.
Love this place
Sweetest little spot with a comfy feel🥰☕🍵.
Love the atmosphere. Great selection of uniquely crafted coffee, tea, and other beverages and foods.
One of our favs. Great service and great staff.
Nitro coffe with Sal caramel oat was very good, everything is homemade, and the coffe is personally brewed for 24h and keg it for the nitro. Perfect place to catch up with a friend or on working emails with comfy tables, harm chairs and fireplace and power outlets for non-MAC users. 😉
Good coffee, lovely barrista presentation ☕, yummy scones, cozy seating. Well be back 👍
This place is great. My husband has had their cappuccino and Ive had their chai latte. I asked about their chai because I loved the flavor and they mentioned it had lactose. Im lactose intolerant and had already received my drink at that point. They were really sweet and made me a new one with different chai and the flavor was still great. Also love that they have oat milk! Really nice people and interior has a good vibe. Wish I lived closer so I could come more. Check them out!
Cutest coffee shop. Excellent coffee and baked goods
Very clean and tidy with a well kept and unique aesthetic and atmosphere.
They were fun to visit. Thank you.
Really cool atmosphere in here. Friendly staff and really good espresso!
Very friendly. I tried the acai bowl. Delicious.
The coffee & food is just as special as the atmosphere. Give yourself a treat on the way to work or beach & stop at Tribe Coffeehouse.
My husband had a gluten free scone that was moist and tastey!
So glad this place just opened. Perfect vibe 👌🏻
