Great customer service. Came in to buy my dad a celebratory cigar for turning 61 and they even helped me package it up so it was gift ready. Would highly recommend.

Dont know much about cigars and I was treated with respect and guided toward exactly what I needed. Was in and out in 5 minutes with a smile on my face.

Charly and James always serve me well. Consistently friendly and helpful. They take the time to get to know their customers and share some of their own experiences. I never feel rushed or like a customer being taken for granted. Mike is a ubiquitous presence and youd never guess hes in ownership. Hes very down to earth and takes pride in his establishment and prizes and respects his employyees.

This place is only for those who are into pipes and cigars. The manager is extremely knowledgeable and will answer all your questions. The business is in an old house that retains the feel of an earlier time. There are oversized leather chairs for visiting and smoking. There is a vending machine with soft drinks. There is a coffee pot but due to Covid, not used now. Warm and friendly plus well stocked.

1st time In there. What a hidden treasure. James was very knowledgeable and courteous. This will be our go-to place for pipes and cigars. Thanks again James for all your help.

This is a great shop for tobacco needs! The gentleman whom I have dealt with, Charlie, has AMAZING product knowledge, shares it so willingly, and is very personable! The atmosphere is very relaxing and screams nostalgia from a little shop in a big city.

Charlie was very knowledgeable about the cigars they carry. He recommended me and my husband a cigar and we bought it went out on our busy day planed since we are from Nashville Tn and we were here on vacation. It has now become one of our favorites( at least in the top 5 for sure.) It was so good we went back the next day and bought a box to carry home with us. My first stop into this store was shortly after my 18th birthday. I was a little less polished then, probably sagging pants, backwards hat, the teenage angst in full swing. I remember being treated as if I had a suit made of $100 bills. Jeff and Dave always took care of me, allowed me to wander but were always around to answer my questions. Since that day 7 years ago, I still routinely find excuses to head over to B&B for any reason.The atmosphere is perfect for client meetings, hanging out with friends, or just relaxing and catching up with friends Ive made in the shop on a Saturday afternoon. My favorite reason to go to the shop is to spend time on the porch smoking a fine cigar with my father who equally loves smoking cigars.The prices are lower than mall prices and the quality is so much better than a brick of cigars youd receive after being battered, bruised, and dried up in the shipping process. I love being able to hop out of the car and grab a couple of sticks on the way to the golf course, or ride up on my motorcycle and spend some time without having to fight mall traffic and crowds. I wish I had more money to spend on their awesome selection of pipes. Also their accessories are all beautiful and highest quality making for the perfect gift.I would like to end by saying that I have not been paid or rewarded for this comment, but I love this place so much that it has been hard to limit the outpouring of love and respect I have for this establishment to a comment box.

Charlie is always friendly and has a great selection of fine cigars at reasonable prices. I always enjoy walking in and getting cigar advice from him and picking out some good smokes.

I was super excited to check this place out but when I showed up at 6:40 a guy walked up to the door said sorry were closed and locked the door in my face. I’ll go back and give them another shot, hopefully I will have the same amazing experience some of the other people seem to have had.

I stopped in on a Monday while on vacation from Michigan. What an awesome place. I am a regular at the cigar shop in my hometown and I was made to feel at home here. What a great group of nice young men I met. Its always nice being the youngest guy in the shop :). Seriously if I lived within a 50 mile radius of B&B I would be there on a very regular basis. Thanks again, and you will see me the next time I am in North Carolina.

Good friendly place; will help novices and aficionados find something. Runs occasional cigar specials and offers coffee and donuts. Has separate lounge area to enjoy your cigar or work on your computer (wifi). Or sit in main area and swap stories with locals and visitors. Front porch with rockers and chess board if you are so inclined. Popular place with parking challenge at peak times, but worth the effort.

Well, I had to write an honest not so good review on a dentist in town since most of the reviews were one time fakes, and my experience wasnt that great.Now I am happy to write a good one.I have traveled the country for two years now, and have been misled by so many fake reviews. In those two years I have been to a lot of cigar shops. BnB is my favorite one without exaggeration.I cannot say enough good about this place. I never want to leave when I get there. The guys are great, and the old house gives it an at home sort of feel, and there is plenty of good tobacco. The guys that work there are all good guys. I have absolutely no desire to go to any other cigar shop in town,and should we leave for the road again I will miss this place. I would give them six stars if I could.

Excellent selection of tobaccos, pipes, cigars, etc! I went in a few minutes before closing and left about 30 minutes later with everything I didnt pack to smoke a pipe, most of which the owner gave me on the house, including a new pipe I got a fantastic deal on. If youre looking for a genuine tobacco shop while youre in NC like I was, not a hippie smoke shop with mushrooms on the windows and incense burning inside, THIS IS THE PLACE!

What a great place. You walk in to a rustic building whose décor more closely resembles an antique shop than a highfalutin tobacconist. But dont get me wrong, they know their tobacco. They have a great selection of cigars and pipe tobacco, some things that are hard to find elsewhere. But a great selection isnt what makes a place 5-star; a lot of places have a good selection of product. What made my experience at B&B so special was the warmth of the people I met. Matt was the guy working and I also had the pleasure of meeting some of the regulars there. They were all some of the sweetest, friendliest people Ive ever met. If youre in Asheville, head to B&B and plan to stay awhile, you wont regret it.

Poor Customer Service.My girlfriend and myself had seen this place in the paper and decided to go into this very nice establishment and perchance some good cigars. Walked in and walked past the cashier and into the humidifier room.Nuthin....No Hi, Welcome, If You Need anythingNuthin.The guy at tobacco plus was a better greeter when we walked in and it took him 2 min while counting his cash to tell us about the new stuff they got in.Just Poor Service thats it.

This was a five star place, but I tried to visit on a Friday night at 7:30 when they are supposedly open until 9. Lights were on, people were inside, but the door was locked and no one answered!

A young gentleman was working on my second trip into B and B. He was willing to help me find exactly what I was looking for, even offering to order any other cigars of interest. He took me on a tour around the building, showing me the lounge, library of books and movies, refreshments and snacks. He introduced me to every one in the store who mirrored his kindness and enthusiasm for pipes and cigars. Although not the classiest or cleanest of cigar shops I have been in, it still held that smokey mens retreat ambiance. A good place to sit for hours, tell stories, and tease one another.I can say that every time since then that I have been back, the same employee continued to welcome me back with the same enthusiasm, jokes, and still introducing me around to any one he had assumed I had not met yet.Over all my experience has been good, but the store hours are TERRIBLE. Opening very early, and then closing by the time most people get off work and look forward to enjoying a good cigar.I would also reiterate that the clutter, dust, and junky knick nacks, almost completely rob the client of a chance to feel that they are indulging in the delicacy, and experience that comes with smoking a luxurious stick. Like you are treating yourself to something maturely fine tuned, crafted with care and elegance, in a dirty frat house. (Needless to say, its due for a make-over)That said, I would still return for the incredible customer service, products, and warmth of the other smokers.

Plush, clean & well-circulated are not adjectives ever to be affixed to this fine establishment. Its a social club masquerading as a business selling stellar tobacco products - pipes, cigars & all their accessories.Camaraderie is the real commodity available in the shop and its present in bucket fulls. Occasional shoppers are treated well, but there is a bit of initiation to crack the regular group. Cant help but think some of negative comments on this page are fueled by those who expected a Kumbaya welcome wagon to be rolled-out upon sitting down in the lounge rather than the 240 volt cross-examination sometimes employed on newbies (especially those without even trace elements of a sense of humour).Please come in on a Saturday & enjoy the warmth of proprietor, David Barnes. He is one of the most gracious + knowledgeable men youll encounter. Late nights are Thursday & Friday when the lovely + talented Matt Ring gracefully presides.This shop, admittedly, is not everyones cup of tea (so to speak), but Ive never seen anyone disabused while in the shop. Considering Ive spent enough hours there to equal time served for most lesser class misdemeanor sentences, I do believe I can testify to such without fear of contradiction.Should the Taj Midor not have your favorite stick, Mssrs. Barnes or Ring will be happy to order for you. All the best brands, e.g. Padron, Ashton, higher end Fuentes, etc., are available on everyday basis.Should, however, you hanker to see real world collection of characters Damon Runyon, Jimmy Breslin or Mike Royko would be hard-pressed to surpass in terms of colorfulness, then just ease into a chair in main room & watch the parade passing-by.
