I love that every time I am here, a store associate asks if I need assistance. It sometimes turns into something very helpful; the other visits I pretty much know the what & where. It always turns into a 😃 smile.

Today was the first time I visited Ulta. The salespeople were incredibly helpful and nice. They have a great selection and everything I wanted was in stock. Thank you Ulta!

Was looking for a very basic afro pick style of comb. Everything was scattered everywhere across the store and theres no easy way to navigate the store either. Combs/brushes were in like 4 different places all with different selections. When asking employees they were just as lost as I was.Edit: I appreciate the Owners response. I wanted to add that the employees I talked to were nice, its just that when asking a couple different employees the same question I got different answers, but, funny enough, both werent wrong. They both took me too a comb/brush section....that was completely seperate from other random comb sections across the store. Also, I walked past several combs on the wall, by themselves, and thought, Why isnt that with the other stuff?. Im not upset 😁 was just an odd experience. I added a picture of what I was looking for that day.

Brandon cut my hair and he was awesome! He held great conversation plus he did a terrific job cutting my hair! Id highly recommend him.

I can’t rave enough about my recent hair experience. I visited Ulta recently and saw they had a salon in the back. This was the perfect opportunity for me to find a new hair stylist. I just moved here from Texas and online searching for a stylist has been overwhelming. I booked online for an appointment with a middle tier stylist. The app makes it so easy to book around my work schedule. My hair has never looked better. I am beyond pleased with my whole experience at the salon. I highly recommend visiting the salon if you are new to the area, or just looking for a permanent salon option.

They didn’t charge me for my hair but it’s bad enough that I made a entire profile just to complain.. My hair is burnt to a CRISP, and my scalp actually scabbed because it was so over processed, I’ll probably be orange for the next year before I can even start to fix it. But I guess that’s what you get for opting cheap and getting your hair done at ULTA 🤦🏼‍♀️ Don’t do it. Just don’t.

It is a wonderful thing to find your hair stylist! Brandon at Ulta is mine! He is an incredibly talented professional who makes you feel like a long-time friend! Im so thankful to have him caring for my hair.

I love visiting this ULTA but the main reason I go is to see Noelle at the Brow Bar. She is INCREDIBLE! I won’t let anyone else touch my brows!

Noelle waxed my brows and I was extremely disappointed when I got home. My right brow was perfect, but my left brow was shorter at end, thinner all around and had a bad gap I had to fill in. Not a happy customer today.

Since covid their sample demo.prosucys are missing or trashed out. Store is overpriced on most things.

Ulta is a makeup lovers must have. So thankful to have a range of drug store brands to Morphe to high end brands to choose from. My best friend also is a stylist at the Salon so it is my go to for everything. Their rewards program helps to save up and later use as well. Especially if you spend money on makeup like I do.

Scheduled an appointment a month in advance only to show up today for the appointment to be told that it was cancelled..... this is the 3rd time I have had issues with the salon and why I quit using Ulta salon .... the only reason I did again was because my daughter had a gift card.... extremely annoyed and frustrated to have wasted the time and then be asked to make two trips out.....

I just want to give the biggest Shout Out and Thank You to the Queen of Brows and Glam Jen at the Benefit Brow Bar. As someone who struggles with their brows and won’t let just about anyone touch them. Jen took her time and explained everything she was doing. She went above and beyond to map them out and made sure I was comfortable. When she was done with my brows she recommended some products and for an extra fun twist gave we a Quick Glam Beat on my face to show me some products I may like. I would recommend her to anyone. 100% Brow Goddess! Thanks Queen.

My pickup order gave me one time for when I should come to the store, but when I drove all the way to the store I found they didn’t open until 12. Backstory, I was on a road trip for my anniversary and time was of the essence. I saw some employees, one seeming like a manager, going inside and tried to verify and understand why my email told me to pickup my order at a different time than the store owner. They were incredibly dismissive and simply repeated that they open at 12, not even giving me time to say much. I hate being dismissed and talked to like a child because I approach retail workers kindly, as I’ve been one before.

I rarely write reviews but I just wanted to rave about my skin-saving experience through Ulta here in Asheville. I came into the Ulta Store two weeks ago absolutely exhausted with my skin and my skin care routine. I had AWFUL scaling and rashes across my face and additionally, acne from wearing a mask. I looked like an absolute mess. My skin was dry, I was so uncomfortable, and so scared that I would have to work the rest of the week without any relief. I was almost in tears when an associate named Abby approached me regarding assistance. I told her about the skin problems I was experiencing and she not only offered her suggestions for modifying my skin care routine but also convinced me to try Tula products. I was skeptical so I decided to buy the starter kit just to see if some of my painful dry spots could be reduced.Almost immediately upon trying Tula products, my face felt a sense of relief. My scalliness began to reduce, my acne seemed calmer, and my skin felt so soft. Less than 5 days later, my friends and coworkers began commenting on how good my skin looked compared to what it was. And now, 2 weeks after trying Tula, my skin looks better than it ever has! And that’s saying a lot as a lifelong acne sufferer who has literally tried it all including accutane and antibiotics.So thank you, Abby for leading me to this incredible skin care line and restoring faith in my skin! I’m so excited to go into the new year with clearer skin and better confidence!

This place is amazing! The staff, one and all, have always been super helpful. The gals (& guys) are quick to approach and offer help. They always ask the right questions and do their best to give the right answers! I NEVER feel pressured to buy. I always feel important! George is wonderful, I can’t always say the same for the rest of the staff. They aren’t fluent in their own exchange/return policy, I’ve had multiple issues over the years and it seems they would rather lose customers than make it right. Save your time and call the 800 number.

I loved this store already but, yesterday my sister and I were there just shopping around and I decided to buy a new foundation but, wasn’t sure which brand would work best for my skin. Let me tell ya, Jacob is AHHHMAZING! He walked with me through the store and helped me to pick the perfect foundation for my type of skin, and matched my skin tone PERFECTLY!Anytime I need anything else makeup-wise, I’ll be going to see Jacob! He is fabulous, and has a beautiful personality to go right along with it.All in all, a great experience!!

New to Asheville, looking for reliable salon, I had an appointment for highlights with the salon manager, Dawn, after hearing high praise for her 30 yrs experience with hair color. When I arrived she told me my hair was too short (although Ive had them before-same hair cut) and said she would have to do all-over color, then frost. I should have walked then, but was leaving in just a few days for a big trip and wanted to get ready. And Im rather casual about hair things, just want some highlights and a good cut.Anyway, 2 1/2 hrs later I left, feeling over-processed and tired. Got home and saw the results in natural light. Ugh! She had fried my frosted hair and left it whiter than the hair I went in with. Bad cut too.Next day I called the salon and they scheduled me for a fix with a different stylist. Another 2 1/2 hrs, lots more chemicals and a better outcome, but will be much higher maintenance than my desired highlights.I also expected an offer to refund at least a portion of the very expensive first round - and an apology. None.Contacted the Ulta customer service rep who told me the local rep would be in touch. Nope.Do not go there!!!

The young gentleman that helped me was unbelievably knowledgeable and very helpful. I only wished I had caught his name so that I could truly give him the credit he deserves is a compliment to the store. I was looking for a makeup travel case and he was very helpful

Great for some high end and stuff store brands. Including morphe, too faced, bare minerals, etc. however I went in today and they do not have a great selection of products for nail care. For example nail primer for acrylic nails, dip powder and nail sculpting tools in store.

Benifit Brow Bar review:Absolutely fantastic experience, as always. All the ladies do a great job here but Isabel is hands down the best! At this time a eyebrow wax is $22. That includes a well planned out wax, tweezing and shaping as needed, and a complete cover up when you are done. No more walking around with red/irritated skin post wax. You leave the chair looking like a million bucks!

The only reason why I am giving them a two star rating is because of the last cashier that checked me out, and I do love the rewards, but now I shop online.I dont always wear make up, esp when I go shopping. I have gone at least a dozen or more times in the past year, and no one ever helps me. They just walk by and never ask if I need help or not.On two occasions I had to find someone. The first time I found a guy working there, and was asking for help about a concealer shade for me, as I have never used concealer before, and I told him that and he gave me this look like it was obvious and acted like I was stupid.The second time, I was looking for something specific, I have a disability that makes it hard for me to stand and walk over the place, yet I walked around the store 2 times front to back, isle to isle trying to find someone to help me, and I could not find someone, if I did they turned around and walked away so freaking fast. When I finally went to the front to check out with the items I did find, I asked the cashier and she looked so mad that I asked her about the item. God forbid they work hard.I finally felt the need to review them, as I was looking up the reviews on the brow bar, and after seeing so many bad reviews, I felt it was time to finally give my opinion.Now I have never been to another Ulta than this one, so I am unsure if all Ultas employees are rude and useless but this one is, minus unfortunately the cashier I do not know her name. She at least didnt have a full on conversation with the other cashiers as she check me out, which most do.Ulta has great rewards program, great credit card, and good selection of products, but I will stick to online ordering to ever buy things from this company, as their customer service needs to be fixed ASAP.

I love Chris at the Salon! Its hard to find someone you trust, who does a good job, and you feel comfortable saying what you like and dont like. Chris makes you feel welcome and always throws his expertise in the mix to make sure your hair doesnt look like a hot mess. He does a wonderful job, all the time. Ive been with him for 3 years and I will continue to trust my locks to him.

Id give zero stars if I could. I made my first appointment online. They have a range of skill level stylists (supposedly, its a joke), so I chose a mid level, thought that made sense. I get there and everyone had an attitude, like they possess some special talent, hardly. Ashley gave me an uneven cut that was absolutely nothing special. I should have not returned but I did. WORST. EXPERIENCE. EVER. First of all, everyone was rude and unfriendly, again. I showed Ashley a picture and, because she hesitated and made a face at my picture, I allowed her to cut it they way she thought it would work (thick and difficult waves). She thinned it so much I can see my scalp and it is unevenly thinned and cut. Its so bad Ive worn a hat this week. I originally wanted all over color and a highlights and the price quote was $75 more than what the online prices indicated and she said she all I needed was root color touch up and a few highlights. What the heck? So I said no to the color because it felt a little dishonest. I really feel like she got angry that I said no to the color and retaliated with a terrible cut! I feel violated! I called the next day to speak with Dawn the manager, she had a minute to talk but promised shed call back, havent heard from her. They are not worth the time. There are plenty of other options in Asheville. Go elsewhere.

I have been having my brows done by Izabel for the last two years. She is the most professional and product knowledge I’ve ever met at the Benefit Brow. I used the Benefit Brow at Macy’s in FL and now see what an asset this artist is to Ulta.

Products are good. Employees, not all, I am sure but the ones I encountered seem, like they are more interested in being seen that helping their customers. Step that up, treat customers like they pay you your pay check. And all will be well.

Good place to buy makeup. Its my go-to spot for all things Lancome. Prices are reasonable and they often give free gifts or samples with purchase. Ive never used the salon but they offer hair and makeup services as well as eyebrows. Employees are usually friendly but its often crowded and hard to find someone to help with questions.

After reading reviews about the salon I was hesitant to book an appointment, but I did so online. I read a review about pricing, so instantly when I got to the location I was quoted a different price, I went back and online I had booked for a different service then I had needed. I was with Ashley who was more then 100% helpful and professional. She really was educated about cuts and color. I will be back and LOVED the end result of my hair.

I have been to this location 5 times including today, and normally I have a wonderful experience. I have always recommended Ulta Beauty to my friends but that will no long be the case. Today I asked for a perm with large bouncy curls and even showed a picture to my stylist, Dawn; I made it a point that I did NOT want small curls and a traditional 80s perm. I even stated that if what I wanted wasnt possible that I would be more than happy to choose something else. I received small tight curls and expressed that I was not happy. I was told that we couldnt fix it. Dawn cut my hair as well and it is now uneven. My price was quoted at $80 but the bill ended up at around $162. My stylist couldnt be bothered with my concerns. Overall it was a terrible experience and I will never be back. There are plenty of better places in Asheville that actually care about their clients.

I love shopping at Ulta. I always have a coupon and they offer drugstore and high end. Some of the people at my Asheville location are rude but Ive learned to stay away from themIf you know what you are looking you dont need them anyways. Items go on sale often which allows me to stock up on all my must haves!

I get it that your company supposedly “does not use the data customers provide”, however it is my decision not to provide my email nor phone number and I really do not appreciate the attitude the lady had with me while I was checking out about not wanting to provide my personal information. I will not be returning to this Ulta and I am very disappointed in what I experienced.

The overall experience was good. Not bothered in excess by employees with deals just asking if help is needed. It was a bit messy which is normal and the only reason I dont give them a 5.

Got my hair done here. Extremely overpriced compared To beauty salons; Color took 4 hours and when it was finished the hairdresser admitted she messed up because the color wasnt even what she wanted. By the time I was all done they were closing so she said come back another time and Ill fix it color was overall decent though.

Pretty expensive but can you really put a price on beauty? Well they did. Staff is beyond helpful and really friendly and that counts for alot.

Not impressed with this location. They do not carry a full line of products like other stores and the staff is not knowledgeable at all! I dont expect them to be full on experts but at least know where your product is. When asking about a hair product and explaining to the girl what it was she had to ask one of the stylist where the hair products were. The sales girls are not happy to work there and they all act as if you have inconvenienced them by being there. If looking for makeup I now go to Sephora. For hair products I have found a few other stores so I can avoid the hassle when possible.

I went to the Ulta Beauty Salon to get my hair dyed for my wedding day. While the person was nice to others, she was not attentive to me. My stylist was more attentive to her co-workers than me or her other customers. Constantly, she grabbed the attention of her co-workers to ask what they were getting for lunch, where they were to party, and plans for future dates. Rather than let me choose from a variety of different colors she asked if I wanted her hair and then showed only 2 color palettes. When I said that I liked one that looked more natural, she said that she would mix that one with the shade that her hair was even after I told her that I did not want her hair color. The colors were not even close to what I had shown that I wanted. I attempted to tell her this but she insisted that it would be great. Seeing that A) this was a losing battle and B) she is a professional and knows what she is doing, I said okay. I know, my mistake. Once she was done applying the color she left me to go to lunch. No timer set. No telling me of how long it should take. Once she returns, she starts on a different customer. Finally shes ready to rinse out my hair. She rinses out my hair and then goes back to the other client. So I am left with wet hair and hair dye dripping down. At this point, I just want out of the salon. She finally dries my hair. I notice once leaving the salon that I would run my hands through my hair and my hand had the hair dye on it. I had to wash my hair for a week just to get all the hair dye out. Overall, it was a horrible experience to where I have to correct it because this was supposed to be the hair color I get married in and when your co-worker says, I love it you look like the Little Mermaid its not a good sign.

Its was hard to find things. And never found the Bert Bees products. Too crowded for my enjoyment in shopping.

Good product selection. Conditioners are top notch. Fragrances are pretty good too, but they dont have Stetson. The staff are helpful when they can be.

This store is awful. The staff has no knowledge of makeup, the shelves are always trashed, and never have products in them. I went in looking for a full coverage foundation I asked the young women what her recommendation would be and she took me to the skin care area and told me to look there. She clearly had no knowledge of makeup at all. To add to my frustrations of this store they never have products. Ill ask when shipments will be arriving and come the day they say. When there are still no products on the shelves they blame me for coming too late in the day and they were all sold out. I find it hard to believe that in a matter of a few hours that this store would sell out of 10 foundations. The only reason this store is still in business and can get away with treatment of customers this way is because theres no other place to buy higher end make up in the Asheville area.

My chip was not working and the reader would not let me swipe (Id just used the card in three other Asheville Mall stores). They sent me home with a free shipping card. I dont think it was anyones fault just very inconvenient.

I really like this place.Other then its hard to tell who works there and who doesnt, Im always wondering who to ask for help when Im there.And the staff that do work there dont ever walk up to me and see if I need help.Other than that there nice and they have good products.

Im sure this place is great....if you already know someone there, but if you dont you will not get helped. I stood for 20 minutes trying to grab someones attention and got ignored. When I finally got someone attention I told him this store wasted enough of my time you certainly will not get my money. Ill go somewhere else and spend my money. This is really too bad, because I work I would love to get makeup and hair and everything else from Ulta. Oh well Target is cheaper anyway.

I love going into Ulta Beauty, but today when I went to pay for my purchase, the lady layed my money down said here you go. And didnt even hand my purchase to me, and forgot to hand my receipt. They were to busy looking at a dog some customer brought in.

Ulta is my go to beauty supply store, but not lately!!Last time I was there I did not get a nice vibe from them, more like two or three of their employees. They walked around didn’t even approach me. I was going to purchase a new foundation and this specific male employee was looking for a foundation for a different costumer and asked me in a very not nice way “can I help you?” He didn’t even offer to send someone else to help me. Needless to say, I walked over to sephora, was approach, treated nicely and purchased what I wanted

My hair was cut just like I wanted it done. Loved it so much I went back and had lolights done. Danny was a blast. He knows what hes doing. Very professional. Now my daughters are going. Thanks Danny for a great job!!

Worst experience ever. I went shopping for my birthday, had never been there before and was told they dont promote the Ulta Beauty line. I called customer service and was told Id get a call from the DM, never happened, and I would be given a $10 dollar gift in my email, never happened ....will not be going back even though I LOVE the products I did buy.

I was pressured into getting a credit card after refusing 4 times. The cashier had zero respect for my refusals. I left mid transaction just to avoid opening a credit card because the older cashier would not stop trying to get me to set up a credit card.

Everytime I go in there the staff follows me around like i’m stealing, almost all of them except a few give you dirty looks. I was asked twice in a row if I needed help with something by the same girl, less than 2 min apart. Then she was around the corner talking about my weight & I could hear her. I love the products & shopping at ulta but the staff is so rude & thinks they’re better than everyone 👏🏻🤨
