Visiting Atlanta and happy I tried this place. Such unique milkshakes with a cute souvenir jar. They even have a washing station to clean out the milkshakes jar after. The milkshakes were super sweet and delicious! Be prepared to wait because it is a popular spot. They do have umbrellas outside when you get closed to the front to get a bit of shade which is nice.
We stumbled onto this place after brunch right down the street. Cute little spot with a nice indoor and outdoor dining space (it was raining so nobody was sitting outside). I loved all the decor. It made it so homey and fit the vibe of the place. The menu was a monster!!! So many options that I got overwhelmed because I wanted it all. You literally had anything you wanted and could build your own milkshake. Thankfully the staff was super patient as we picked our items and just took time to look at the menu.If you have a sweet tooth, this is definitely a place you need to visit!
When looking for places to check out in Downtown Atlanta I recognized the name of this place from Shark Tank and knew I had to go! It was amazing, super friendly service, everything is prepared quickly and tastes amazing. I had the Birthday Cake milkshake in the souvenir mason jar that I got to take home. They have a washing station in the building to rinse the jar off before taking it home and bags to put it in as well. My only heads up for anyone going is that this is a super popular place with limited space inside. We did wait outside in line in the heat for quite a bit to get in before we could order. It was not a big deal at all but just a heads up you may be standing outside for 30 minutes or more in the heat! Overall, highly recommend going here!!
Oh boy! This place is just too yummy and delicious to pass up. We visited the aquarium down the street and walked the few blocks to here for a treat! We actually skipped dinner and let our kids eat ice cream for dinner! You only live once and I will certainly die happy after eating my delicious treat! Highly recommended!
The yard was awesome! Very Instagram worthy. Just about everyone in there took pics of their ice cream before eating it. We got the peanut butter brownie bliss. You can choose sundae or milkshake, depending on if you want to eat it or drink it. One sundae was definitely enough to share for two people, and cost about $20. Service was very fast and friendly. When you’re finished, you can rinse your mason jar at the washing station and take it home. Be sure to look up the menu before you go because they have a secret menu on their website. Very cute and fun!
I wanted to leave a review about how great the customer service was!!!! We went to the Fernbank Museum before coming to The Yard. There was a line as we expected. But, it was hot and humid and with kids it was even hotter and more humid 🤪Also, we parked across the street which is paid parking for $10. Just be prepared as parking in Atlanta is always a paid event! One of the employees came outside to find out how many were in our group. We told her nine(9) and that we had a table outside. She said, Im going to find a table inside for you! And boy was it worth it to get inside the air conditioning to enjoy our purchases!!! Thank you for taking great care of us, your customers! We ordered sundaes and OMG what a treat they were!
The ice cream is trash. I got red velvet with a cheesecake topping. It was absolutely disgusting. $16 dollars for ice cream in a jar. I’m throwing the jar away because I don’t want any memories of it. Once I brush my teeth and burn the wasted calories I’ll be okay. Don’t be fooled by the pretty display.
This place is a lot of fun, and they run a pretty tight ship for the traffic they get.If you decide to go Id recommend looking at the menu first because they do have a lot of named shakes with lots of ingredients. Good to have an idea what you want before you show. Also has a neat souvenir factor, with the milkshakes coming in glass Mason jars. Even has a sink for you to wash them out before you get back in your car.Ice cream quality is also top notch.
Let’s start with the Pros:It was clean and inviting inside and the service was great. Unfortunately, that’s all they have going for them.As an ice cream/milkshake bar, I expected the ice cream quality to be top-notch. It wasn’t!! The flavors were creative and the combinations seemingly endless, but that was part of the problem. By focusing on quantity, they lost touch with quality. My peanut butter Oreo concoction barely tasted like anything other than vanilla. The peanut butter cookie was dry and unappetizing. The whipped cream was sprayed out of a can. Furthermore, no matter where you try to park you are going to end up spending at least $10 on parking. So add that to your bill. I don’t spending some money on quality ice cream, but this wasn’t it.
Would’ve been a 5 star review if it wasn’t for SUPER RUDE TIFFANY. Avoid her. She has zero customer service skills. The really pleasant cashier offered me a to go cup and I told her my husband and I wanted to eat some first and I’d like to grab one before I leave. She said that would be okay. When I went back inside SUPER RUDE TIFFANY who was in the back when I arrived, greeted all the other customers and just looked at me. I asked her for a to go cup to which she responded “no”. I explain to her the cashier offered me one and said I could grab it before I left. She said she didn’t care, that there’s a “cup shortage” and turned me away. Pretty terrible treatment for first time customers who spent $40 on 2 milkshakes. Probably won’t be back and will definitely be leaving a review on Yelp Facebook & Instagram as well as my husband. If Tiffany hates her job she should really find something else to do.
Such a fun place to indulge at!The sundaes and milkshakes are freshly prepared with attention to detail and to balance the myriad of Hershey ice cream flavors and ingredients. The Yard Milkshake Bar Atlanta is worth waiting in line for and most clients will be able to get a table indoor or outdoors — with distancing practices still in place (April 2021).
This place is heaven on earth for all the sweet tooth dreamy foodies out there. The menu has a huge selection of different assortments of shakes and ice. The establishment is clean and very inviting. Depending on the time of day you visit, it could be crowded! My family and I always go during the earlier part of the day to avoid the crowd. Customer service is amazing and the owner was very personable with my kiddos. It’s our new place! We love it here!
Amazing experience! Everything was awesome and the employees were friendly, energetic and engaging. Jasmyne definitely made my friends birthday a little more special!
I stayed ar the the Embassy like a block over and found this hot spot. The line was out the door. I ordered a cone with Strawberry and Cookie butter Craze and it was an amaaaazing comfortable! My daughter ordered the Salted Caramel Cheesecake, and I was NOT expecting it.to be topped with an actual slice of cheesecakeI spent 28 dollars on both, so it was a little pricey and worth every bit!
Great if you only want an Instagram pic, but the actual milkshake was mediocre. The shake tasted really watered down and not at all like ice cream. The whipped cream on top had more flavor. It was so runny that I ended up just straining the bits of cookie dough out with a spoon and dumping the rest. Mine had edible cookie dough on top and that was weirdly fluffy and not at all like the stuff Ive bought before. I would definitely not wait in the long line outside for this again.
Honestly, the best looking dessert Ive ever had!... but it was also the most expensive!! For two of the Mason jar milkshakes, it was nearly fifty dollars 💸. . . Worth the experience, but not a monthly venture. I recommend bringing hand wipes, its a messy process and no one makes it out without a mess on their hands. 🙃
This was such a fun place to visit while in Atlanta, we got there around 3 pm, waited in like to get in for about 10-15 mins, our group ordered 2 milkshakes to share, they offer an amazing vegan milkshake here so definitely give it a try, you go in and order your milkshake, it took about 10 mins to get it since there were quite a few people in there, the decor is super cute and they milkshakes are like wow!! It definitely was a great experience, they are a bit pricey, $15 is the average price for one, so not something I would do often but well worth the trip to try this place out, you do get to wash out your glass it comes in to take home with you.
Who Every came up wit this place... Great idea.... I lov this place alllllll types of ice cream.... U will Fall in lov wit this place... U can even buy cookie dough an ice cream to take home they hav tee 👔 tooo...... Beautiful Family come from all over to com Here... Great place for a date... Or if you just want to put a smile on someones face well this is the place... Very clean...
Super long lines every time we go, but the milkshakes are delicious. Very fun looking and photogenic as well. Lots of variety so theres bound to be something for everyone. Theres other types of ice creams and the like available for people to choose from as well for those who would rather try something other than their main shake selection.
Wow! What a great menu... ice cream, milkshakes, sundaes, edible cookie dough (and a secret menu!!!) We all ended up getting sundaes that we couldn’t finish by ourselves. The ratio of toppings to ice cream was perfect; the cookie dough was amazing; the ice cream itself was delicious! Would definitely go back if not so far away... hopefully they open another store in New Jersey!
This place is amazing, It was my first time there and I got the birthday cake specialty milkshake. the milkshake itself was sweet creamy thick and delicious. The toppings were amazing, piled high with whipped cream and sprinkles topped off with a fluffy cupcake. Hands down both milkshake experience Ive had 10/10 would go again.
Visually it’s appeasing. But for the name including “milkshake “ it wasn’t a milkshake,it was melted down before we even got it. Too much going on and they are not being prepared properly or something.Melted and cost $15 you can see the plate. I feel like your mainly paying for the jar. Not the ice cream since the shake is relatively small.
Another recommendation found and they didn’t disappoint 😊 The atmosphere was great, the the shakes were well displayed and awesome ( The Cookie Monster is what I ordered ). The space was small given the location so there will definitely be a line out the door, service is good so it will move along smoothly. I definitely recommend checking it out and my family will be going back again 👌🏽
Long wait, but well worth it! #yummy
Great experience indeed! It was a very long line for sure, on a weekend. We waited for over an hour. Seating area is small for a place highly on demand, so probably adding seating outside or offering to-go would be ideal specially with Covid. We tried the unicorn and the salted caramel cheesecake.
This place is awesome... my friend took her daughter here for her birthday and I was like a kid in the candy store... the milkshakes were good... everybody enjoyed them... Ill be back soon... I had the Doughnut touch my coffee and cream and it was DELICIOUS...
Clean store and super friendly staff! Yummy treats 😋
If you’re looking to be served by a rude curly haired middle aged women, then this is your place! The shakes were ok, but the experience from the moment we walked in, to ordering, to our items being served was ruined thanks to the staff member’s unnecessary bad disposition towards us, the people behind us, and the family behind them!
Fun flavor creations. It seems a bit pricey at first to go full scale sundae in a jar, but considering it is enough dessert for 2 and most of them come with a second dessert (cheesecake, brownie, cupcakes etc) totally worth it!
This location is always great. The ice cream is great but the creativity that comes along with it, is what does it for me! My crew enjoys the experience every time, and the customer service is excellent as well.
I literally saw this place on shark tank a few years ago, and look at them now! The only reason Im giving 4 starts is cuz I wish they had more flavor variety in their milk shakes.
The milkshakes are amazing! The ambiance is awesome. I would definitely return in the future. 😍
(I felt it necessary to adjust my review, because I wanted other guests from out of town with larger groups with elderly and children -like our group- to be informed.)Be prepared to wait outside at this location. Bring water for your kids and elderly. Maybe even a fold out chair. Not a lot of seating inside and out. Be prepared to pay for parking, It looked really good however, our group had been on their feet all day and they just couldnt stand any longer. I want to come back and actually try the foodstuffs, will probably try earlier in the day.It seems from reading the reviews that this^ is a normal occurrence. Just be prepared to wait at least 45 to an hour on weekends...
The ice-cream was good however if you dont finish your ice-cream they wont give you a cup or lid to take your remaining ice-cream to go. Apparently you have to order to go and not sit down to get a lid. This is the silliest concept Ive ever heard of.Update: While I understand product being on short supply, a suggestion would be to supply a lid for the souvenir cups. Most mason jars come with cups. Especially if we pay $15 for the cup it just makes sense to provide a lid
Had an Amazing time! Outstanding concept and selection of Ice Cream! Even some great vegan options for the Mrs. Staff was on point with loads of information and fun facts. Definitely a return trip.
Overpriced and the staff is rude to those waiting. 90* with plenty of room in the store and theyre forcing everyone to wait outside...
3 stars for location. Could have opened in a better location. Limited sitting and parking. Product is amazing. Taste is great. Everything we tried was awesome. Over crowded for COVID . Would be my first and last visit. Need to have something sturdy to hold the jar instead of a plate. Just giving my feedback.
My ice cream cone with two flavors, pistachio and mint chip, were very creamy. However, the pricing for one of their unicorn small concoctions was more than I expected to pay for ice cream and some sugar toppings. While the quality of the ice cream is better than usual, so are the prices. Because this location is close to downtown, the aquarium and the Coca-Cola experience, they do charge the tourists higher than normal prices.
This place was amazing! The icecream was as good as it was beautiful! Staff is all super sweet and helpful! & If you get the shakes with the jars you get to take the jar home with you!(There is some outside seating as well)
Cute spot. Great for date night or family fun.
Place has a good vibe. Clean and good service. But milkshake was basically a blended ice cream .Very thick . I personally didnt like it and could not finish more than half.
I wasnt impressed with my $20 shake. Lacked the richness but it was dressed up.
The line and the wait was long but was well worth it. Cant think of any other place doing what The Yard does. Menu was large with a ton of variety. You get to keep the mason jar your order comes in as well. Prices are expensive but the milkshake speaks for itself.
Incredibly delicious. Got the smoreo and the birthday cake. Grey way to celebrate my wife’s birthday! Fun, quirky and delicious milkshake bar.
Perfect place to go if you a craving The Ultimate Milkshake! YUMMY 😋!!!! I had the not milk. Soooo yummy for it not to be dairy! And you get to take the glass it comes in home! Bring your appetite because each milkshake may be $15 but its quite a feat to finish it all and definitely worth the money honey!!!
Im glad I tried this place, but the ice cream is honestly bland 😔. It doesnt have any real flavor depth. I went as part of a celebration after paying off my student loans. 🎊🎉🥳 Id been following them on Insta for a while, and they were at the Dessert Wars event earlier in the year but Id missed out on trying them because the line was so long and theyd packed up when I tried to go back. We arrived around 9PM on a Friday night. The staff did a good job of greeting us and explaining how ordering works, and asked us to wait outside for our order since we were togo. Anyway, we ordered the Donut 🍩 Touch My Coffee ☕ and Cream, Salted Caramel Cheesecake, and the Peanut Butter 🥜 Oreo Overload half pints. The whipped topping tasted a little oily. The cheesecake on one of the shakes was pretty much frozen, making it hard to actually eat with the ice cream. The donut seemed like it was refrigerated too. I understand they serve things cold to prevent it from melting your ice cream, or to prevent the ice cream from making the topping soggy, but that method reduces the enjoyment of the topping. 🤦🏾♀️ If you go, see if theyll 🔥 heat up 🔥 your cheesecake, donut, cookie or whatever for 7-10 seconds to at least get it room temp. I did appreciate the portion options. And we really enjoyed strolling to Centennial Park to eat our pints. So its a cute date idea. But Id recommend Jenis if youre looking for some really GOOD ice cream. Also, dont sleep on a milkshake from Cookout 🤷🏾♀️.
I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this ice cream shop. It’s such a cool place. My daughter and I had two great desserts. I forget the names of what we had but they were delicious! At first I thought it was pricey, but there was so much fun, my glass mason jar was over flowing with goodies inside and out. We went on a Thursday evening at about 5 and there was no line but full inside. Everyone was friendly and following Covid guidelines with the masks, so I was happy about that. I did pay for parking, which was $10. It’s not an everyday treat but it was worth every penny, oh and the cheesecake was Awesome 👏🏾 my daughter and I will definitely go back.
I went here with my family, and we got 2 green mint monsters, and 1 whisky business. We didnt know how big it would be, and we all said the moment it came oh Lord. I loved the shake, and so did my comrades. Will definitely be back and recommend it to everyone.
Delicious! The desserts were truly perfect and weren’t too sweet, like you would think. I had the strawberry cheesecake. There was an actual full sized slice of cheesecake! My daughter had something with chocolate, mint ice cream and a full sized brownie! 😋 We’ll be back!
They my son day!!!! We did a birthday trip and the shake he got was cookie dough. It taste really good. Shocked me that it was $17 but you get the jars and all this stuff which makes it worth it.
They have great quality milkshakes and still managed to provide fast service without giving a sloppy presentation
Amazing ice cream, the kids loved it. The portion sizes are big.
Its good but very very bery sweet. Definitely a once in a while treat.
Totally terrible experience. I think it could be a great place but today was not the day to go. Service was so bad. The door attendant was rude and would not let us in, she was on a bit of a power trip. Place was pretty empty and multiple social distancing dots open in the line inside but she still made us wait outside in the Blazing heat. Felt really rushed to order. We have an allergy in our group, they caused so much anxiety with the waiver that our kid didnt eat her ice cream. It was a lot of extra that didnt need to happen. Clearly if we are coming we know the inhearant risk, we are just asking for a fresh spoon and clean gloves while serving. To call out the kid, bring a manager, sign a waiver, it was too much. Lots of undue stress from that procedure. No water to drink either, only bottles.I think if there was a different staff, it could have been a totally different experience and lots of fun. Its really expensive and because of our experience today no one had a good time so it wasnt worth it. To be fair the ice cream was good. Not worth it, but good.
Street parking is your best bet, it’s very dark and creepy at night so don’t go alone! I went on a Thursday night so it wasn’t busy, we got our order pretty quickly. We ordered the cheesecake milkshake and loved it but couldn’t finish it! I love that you get to keep the glass! Place was clean and well staffed but the staff could’ve been more welcoming.
First time customers. We ordered a banana split and chocolate shake. Friend not very happy with the banana split. It was expensive ($16), small portion (served in a small Mason jar inside a larger cup), and not that good. I had the shake and it was only average. Would never visit again.
Me and my family came here from out of town. The milkshakes are to die for! I Will def be coming back for more.
Amazing wish they had one in Houston
$10 to park so I can get some ice cream was a bit off putting....but I needed to try it! I got the coffee float! Delicious!!! Very good service! I will be back...
This was my first time here and it was very enjoyable. The cashier gave my party excellent recommendations on what to get.
