Up in Maine on vacation from Florida and needed my 6000 oil change. Traveled from Brunswick to Evergreen Subaru as they had a good rating. Didn’t need an appointment, got in and out quickly and was treated exceptionally well by the young lady who was their service rep. Would definitely recommend them to any Subaru owner.

Never, never, never again. I helped my 86 year old mom buy a 2015 Forester there last year (Oct. 2020). The car looked like it was in prime condition. Three months later heavy rust bubbles pop up on the inside and outside of the window fames, as well as inside the doors frames and hinges. I brought it to three auto body shops, and they each said that at the rate the rust appeared, this had been covered up. When I went to Evergreen, they said there was nothing they could do. It was beyond the thirty day warrantee. Essentially they took no responsibility...
Easiest transaction ever. Sold my car outright with Justin, it took 30 minutes and I was out the door with a check! Extremely painless. Would absolutely recommend!

I bought my Forester Feb 2020. I had a really good salesman help me. Wasn’t pushy at all. He was a good listener as far as what exactly I need in a vehicle for work/personal use. Which I loved! I even had some awesome upgrades like plastic floor mats (highly recommend and life changing). As well as two sets of tires (summer and winter). However, I was supposed to get a deep clean before I got it and DID NOT. I got a flat tire in Sept 2020 (no ones fault it happens). Went in to get 1 new tire and had them check all 4 - just to be safe and see how much life I have left. Ended up needing all new tires?! This is quite crazy for only owning the vehicle for 6 months and using winter tires for first few months... otherwise - Amazing customer service, personalities and knowledge. But I feel a little used to be honest. I am a small business owner. I completely understand you can only do so much wiggle room.
It was nice to go back to my hometown area and go to Evergreen Subaru. the staff was polite and courteous and got me right in and had the parts that I was there to pick up. The parts guy was nice enough to take a little time so I could ask him a few questions about Subaru that I have. And filled me in on questions that I had about the right manual transmission fluid. Beyond Satisfied! My 2006 Outback XT went in for the Takata Airbag Recall and while it was being serviced I asked them to check on a loss of power condition I had been chasing. The team at Evergreen was simply amazing, on all possible levels. From Heidi keeping me in the loop and passing information to the technicians performing the repairs, to Joel going over the process of diagnostics and technical data I required to help aid in narrowing down the root cause. Even though my case was particularly difficult to isolate and took longer to complete due to unforseen circumstances, Josh and Chris were more than willing to include me in the diagnostics since I perviously worked as an ASE certified automotive technician and had performed all of the repairs and updates on the vehicle prior to arriving at Evergreen. Joel set me up with loaner vehicle for the entire duration of the repairs and in my eyes, this service alone was priceless as I work as a traveling industrial contractor. I couldnt say enough good things about the team at Evergreen Subaru if I spoke 4 languages! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. To everyone involved and those that I have yet to meet.
They would not pass the inspection. They said I needed new brakes and rotors even though I had already had new back ones put on. They did fix some issues but wanted another $1000 for a Maine inspection sticker. Took it elsewhere and it passed.
Never made it to the dealership. Called for an appointment and was yelled at by the service advisor because I asked what the earliest I could bring it in.

I am always impressed by Evergreen Subarus customer service! I live in Portland and have had a hard time getting appointments with the dealers in my area. For example, this past week my battery was having issues and Evergreen squeezed me in on Saturday to do a diagnostic test while the dealers in the Portland area couldnt fit me in until the following week. I have being travelling to Evergreen for the past year for my routine maintenance and I will continue to do so because of your superior customer service!
So accommodating. The Subaru dealer I bought my car from refused to acknowledge that there was a problem with my new 2020 Impreza, so I called Evergreen to see if they could get me in. They were awesome and got me in within a few days. I was able to sit in an air conditioned, sanitized vehicle while mine was being looked at, and they figured out the issue! Will definitely go back for all of my service!

I went into evergreen to look at a vehicle they put on Facebook. When I got there Berry took me over to their other lot to see it. It wasn’t what they described and the rocker panels were falling off, my daughter notice another car next to her she liked better. Yes it was whole sale and they check it out before hand to see what it needs and they give you the sheet with what needs to be done. We decided to go with the car she liked and when we went back the next day for it we waited 30 mins for someone to even help us, no one was there for customers. Finally when we got in they were having problems with the card machine. My bank was showing it went through and they said it didn’t and it showed 4 attempts they tried pending. The guy said the next day they would watch to see if it falls off or not. I was called 4x in an hour from Berry that they gave me the wrong paperwork for the car and I had to go back for the 3 day in a row for the new paperwork. Mean while berry is down right rude and thinks he knows all, his eye rolling to you is awful. When I arrived at the dealership for the right paperwork I asked for a manager because I took this car to Charlie’s Toyota for them to look at to find a lot more wrong with it then what they had wrote down on paperwork. The manager came over (wish I knew his name, was short with tattoos on his arms) with a very cocky attitude told me he wants payment now for the last 300 that didn’t go through, but still showed pending in my account. The manager decided to tell me I was to give the car back or hand over the money, I told him I don’t think so you have most of the money and the finance guy told me to wait till it drops off or doesn’t. The manager told me he would just charge my card without my promise and get their money. I asked for his boss, his boss came over and was very nice, apologizing for what happened and told me not to worry about the money and changed the paperwork. He had the older finance guy write it all up he was also lovely to work with . If it wasn’t for the last 2 guys I worked with I would have lost it. Now for what they said was wrong with the car was more then what they said. They said it needed a marker, rear tires and rear brakes. Well on top of that the car need a whole new exhaust and 4 new tires. The windshield isn’t even in place and had to also be reset and sealed, I took a video how bad it was and that would be why there was mold all on the car as rain was going right into the car. It has been a nightmare with them and that they obviously don’t look over there cars well and I have their paperwork along with Toyota Charlie’s paperwork. All I can say is thank you to the last 2 guys I worked with, but for the rest of it and the lies I would never go back.

I was already joking with them as we drove off that I would see the sales dept in 5 years when we come back for a new one :) but I will be seeing service regularly before then because even the service department is truly one of a kind.

Have to retract my original 5 star review. Purchased a 2017 Subaru from them a year ago now and have only put on 9000 miles since… along with $6000+ in repairs alone. Ive attempted to reach out in the past but unfortunately they were no help. If you’re buying a used car from them you might wanna see a mechanic first to check it over. This past year has been a nightmare for me and I’m hoping my story will save someone a little trouble.
I brought my 2011 Forester to Evergreen in Auburn in 3 times prior to the warranty expiring at 50,000 miles. They said nothing was wrong with it. After the warranty expired, they did a patch on the transmission which did not fix it. I put a quart of oil in every week starting when the car was only a couple years old. Thirdly, I asked to have the exhaust checked multiple times while under warranty because of the strong exhaust smell that got worse in the city. They said there was no problem with the exhaust, no leaks. My s-i-l brought it to an exhaust shop only weeks after the third check. There were 2 leaks. I also had to replace the headlights repeatedly while it was still under warranty, but as soon as the warranty expired and I didnt have to bring it in for warranty work, they have not had to be replaced. I also had to buy a battery when the car was only a few years old, the dealer said it was fine, or holding charge, I got tired of having to boost it. I missed having a recall done timely because I had zero trust in Evergreen at this point, didnt know that they were finally admitting that they sold years of cars with bad engines. The repair was in the thousands. The relative I sold the car to attempted to get an appointment to get the work done but Evergreen said No and she went to another Maine Subaru dealer who initially told her that they would do the work under recall but they wanted the VIn. They recanted a few days after getting the VIN. I sold the car for $3500 less than book value to a relative and now it is dead at 182,000 miles and its only 7 years old. Even when I think back to buying the car, it was a demeaning experience. The salesman slapped the contract down and demanded I sign it. I thought I had done my homework and test drove other similar vehicles but the treatment I got should have made me walk out the door because it clearly continued in the service area. This is a second review and includes more of the history of the car and I can be more candid on how I was treated, so embarrassing that I allowed the demeaning treatment but others should know ahead of time to better manage if they truly want a Subaru.

Evergreen Subuara is a great place. I was in desperate need of a car and found a new car here. The salesperson, Ryan Pablo, was very nice, answered all our questions, and told us all about the new upgrades with the newer Subaru models.He was patient with us in our test drive, and had the car checked when we felt something off with it. He was honest about the issues that were found and got them fixed before we took the car home, also he got a spare key made for us.The car I bought is awesome and I feel safer in it than I did in my previous car.

I had to have a recall fixed, a backup light issue. Service was great, nice waiting room with free snacks and coffee. They have a small library but I appreciated the free wifi and comfortable lounge chairs most. I purchased my Forester here years ago and love it!
I couldnt have felt more comfortable with the buying process at Evergreen. Both Barry and Preston helped us get to a number we felt comfortable with, they were wonderful to work with! It never felt like I was working with a salesman. I even had my six year old and wild three year old with me. Everyone in the building understood our young family and made us feel welcomed. Beware the Don! He asked if he could see if he could find us a better interest rate. He came back with two different lengths of loans and monthly payments. He pointed at one and said this is the same rate as your bank. He pointed at the other and said this one is a little higher but it gets you down closer to the monthly payments you want. I had to go back in and ask directly for the details of the loan offers. He came back with just the length and monthly payments again. I asked for the interest rates he was offering and asked for the information to be sent to my CU after glaring at me he went and got the interest rates... The first was .55% higher and the second was 3.69% higher. I feel that I he lied about the rates and then tried to conceal it by not bringing the information when I asked for it. On top of all that it took them four days to even get the car ready... It had dents and dings all over and pine sap baked onto the hood and roof. Not to mention the loud screeching engine that had gone through and been given the stamp of approval by their service department that same day. When the sales person found out that they didnt have the title (after 4 days of knowing that someone wanted to buy it) he let slip that the car had been sitting in their back lot for months! In my opinion this establishment is not trustworthy in any sense of the word.

My husband and I went to Evergreen Subaru yesterday to trade in and purchase 2 cars. We worked with Barry and Ally on the sales floor and the business manager Don. We had such a great experience with all 3. All were extremely personable and were able to get us into the cars we wanted at our budget. Unlike other dealerships they were extremely focused on us as customers, were not pushy, and made the process as enjoyable as it could be. Definitely worth the 1.5 hour drive for us!

After a very bad experience at Charlies Auto Mall, we drove down to Evergreen expecting the worse. Since it was late Saturday we got there just after it closed. As we looked at the cars, the finance and business manager Josh was walking across to the parking lot heading to his car to go home. He stopped and asked us if we needed any help. After telling him what we wanted, he gave us all the info he could and set up a meeting with our salesman Barry. After Barry had contacted my wife, we came back. The Outback Barry had set up for my wife to test was beautiful and she fell in love with it. After looking at the various vehicles, I found I really liked the Legacy sedans. Barry found he could get us a brand new one under our budget and found 2 to test drive. Loved the car, but wanted one or two more options. Barry said hed be right back and pulled around a Legacy fresh off the truck, dust and all and we took it for a test drive, I decided on it and from there we went to talk to Josh. Josh walked us through all our options, they found us a little money off for buying two cars from them and we left very happy with our new cars. At no time was there any type of pressure or push to buy anything they have. We love our cars and would recommend them highly for anyone buying a new or used car.

I have previously purchased a new carreceived it like they had withew car. Preston was also very rude to us when picking the car up and Ashley was not their like she said she would be and the car hadnt been detailed like she said on Friday and this ased a new car from evergreen and was purchasing a certified used car 1 year old and only 7000 miles on it. They did not honor their web site price nor did they do what they said. The car was not ready when they were the ones who called and said to come down and pick it up nor did they go over the car when I picked it up
My wife had a service appointment, it was 94° outside and thats where the waiting room was they gave us the key to a 2020 Subaru Forrester so we could sit in the air condition car while we waited for her car. They are the best

They have a couple of WRX STIs on sale. The AWD performance of these cars amazing, very forgiving, went into the corners braking a little late, the cars response no problem, select too tall a gear, the car said, no sweat.Torque is available. 😈😁😇

Its the first time in my life I was offered a free loaner while I waited. I drove into the service bay with a tire that was deflating. Mr. Crowell informed me the work would probably take 2 hours and he offered me a ride or a loaner. They fixed my tire for free and the wheel bearings were under warranty so I paid nothing. Thats the kind of service I like. Thank You Evergreen.

After really bad experiences with 2 Subaru dealerships, we took our leased unit to Evergreen Subaru. They could not have been more helpful in making it an easy transition. We made the final two payments at the dealership and turned in the car. If we had not already made a contract for another brand of SUV, we would have bought a Subaru from Evergreen. We had our 3 Labradors in the other car. They wanted us to bring them into the showroom. What a different experience from Bath Subaru and Charlies Subaru.

We recently moved from FL to ME so Evergreen is now our preferred Subaru dealer. Their Service team members are awesome! During our last oil change/tire rotation, their Express Service rep ensured that a recent recall on our fuel gauge was also completed, even though we didnt have an appointment. That personal touch was much appreciated and saved us another return trip.

No pressure deal. Explored several different options from buying vs leasing, buying a certified used or new vehicle with no pressure and with patience explainiesng these options. Overall a good experience. Salesman Ray Lewis was very knowledgeable about the different vehicles that were interested in and was very helpful.
Called and asked for the sales manager and got passed to 4 different people before getting him. Initially he was not willing to negotiate on the price at all but was suddenly able to come down a little when we told him we were going to walk. He told us the car had been sitting on the lot for a long time and theyd lose money by knocking $500 off the price. He talked a lot about how they need to make a profit which is not the customers problem. I just got the vibe that he was dishonest and trying to guilt trip us. The sales person we dealt with was fine but took us on a 45 minute test drive around the lake. Due to the manager and high prices I did not enjoy shopping there.

Sales guy Ryan was nice but the finance guy was a freak show!! Actually tried to sell me a car for full asking price!! Very high prices and rude finance guy who thinks he doesnt have to negotiate price 🤣🤣. Stay away from this dealership!! Could have made a sale today but his ego got the best of him 🤣🤣
