Horrible experience they did my clutch master slave shift tips and other stuff $2,100. I first was told they got a broken clutch then the wrong clutch and then finally got my car back 2 days late and the next day my check engine light is on and my cat is misfiring. Bring it back they run free diagnostic and said my head was blown then proceeded to tell me how much it would cost to fix that. Mind you the clutch fluid was completely dry when I got it back the first time and I could tell they went in to the fuse box cause they had grease marks on it. I have always done my own mechanics and this shop is exactly why I dont trust others to work on my vehicle. I checked my fluids and everything when my check engine light came on my oil was a quart low and my radiator was dry. I told them my lower hose had a small leak and to make sure it was full before they drive it. But this is my $2,100 and vehicle that is now gone, would hate for someone else to deal with this place.

I do a LOT of Traveling. This trip I am out in Nevada City. I am pulling a 22ft travel trailer. I heard a noise also stopped down in LA I looked under my truck to find transmission fluid slowly leaking from the seal at the back of the drive shaft. I didnt want to be in LA so I babied it up to where I was going. I took my truck to another shop that said theyd never seen anything like this. Theres more to the story. I ended up bringing my truck down here where Ryan was able to put it up on the lift to really check it out. Being a single female.... Well people know how that goes. They showed me whats going on. Its really not that big of deal. Im really happy I brought my truck here to get it checked out. Found out a couple of bolts are missing on the back of the transmission mount. I dont just let anyone work on my truck since I do travel international and need to know my truck is safe because who wants to get stuck on the side of the road in any foreign country. This shop Rocks. I definitely would recommend them.

Drove the car in to have it looked at and they tell me they will waive the $120 diagnostic fee if i leave it with them to take to junk yard. My son went to start the car when we picked it up and it wont start.We were able to drive the car to this place but unable to drive the car back home and it cost $120. Ridiculous. I dont recommend bringing your car here.

I feel very grateful to have randomly come across this AAMCO. The people that work here are incredibly kind, hard working and honest. They were also extremely communicative and transparent about the issues with my van and next steps. I felt well taken care of from the second I talked to them! Additionally, they did great work on the van for a fair price. It drives basically like new. They were also so accommodating to our unique situation and timeline, and us being from out of town they were quite hospitable (giving us recommendations in the area) I definitely recommend you come here for any needs!

I don’t review mediocre or dishonest business people because they’re aware of their deficiencies resulting in loss of customers. Instead, I’d rather praise the honest, knowledgeable and diligent operants. Thereby, AAMCO Transmissions and Total Auto Care technicians located at890 Grass Valley Hwy, Auburn CA correctly diagnosed and repaired a 21 year-old pick-up truck with 166 miles of wear in preparation to be driven 2,576 miles cross country. Dave, whom I communicated with over the phone from the aforementioned distance away, not only had the truck accurately diagnosed and had repairs done at a reasonable price noted in an itemized invoice, yet referred nearby reputable companies for towing the truck there and another to replace the worn tires. Based on the cost and ease of doing business with Dave at AAMCO, my presumptive pessimistic thoughts of selling the truck at a major loss reverted to the optimistic relief of relying on the engine that could!

Excellent customer service. Ive brought my vehicle in twice for different reasons and have been thoroughly impressed each time. This last trip in David the owner personally drove my vehicle to diagnose it. He was so easy to ask questions to and to answer back in ways that a person not vehicle savvy would understand. This made me feel at ease leaving with my vehicle. Mo at the front desk also had exception customer service. If you are having vehicle trouble or need routine maintenance this is the place to go!

Brought my truck in for diagnostics due to a transmission solenoid code and problems shifting into 5th gear. Claimed they did full diagnostics and needed to replace my transmission for $5600. Im glad I got a 2nd opinion. Other shop in town determined it was a faulty solenoid and fixed the problem for $500. Waisted my time, money, and stress with AAMCO...and almost caved to loosing A LOT of money. I would never go back here.

I’ve had numerous things done to a few different cars, transmission servicing on a matrix along with engine mounts and other diagnoses in order to get to right answers to get the car smog ready, also my z needed the clutch bled and my other friend even had a lot of work done on his Dodge Ram, great people and great service, I’d recommend to anyone. Mo was super friendly and accommodating. I had him order parts for repairs on my truck and a few days later when I told him I only wanted to fix one of the issues and wouldnt need the other parts he told me it was no problem for them to send them back, and that he would hold onto them for a few days in case I changed my mind. Overall I will be using them for any further repairs we will need for our vehicle.

Transmission went out while RV camping in Truckee. Thankfully the tow truck that came to pick me up was coming from Grass Valley and recommended Aamco. I’m glad he did as it was not only closer to home but they diagnosed the issue quickly and were willing to work with my schedule as I was coming from out of town. The Suburban is running great so far. I appreciate the excellent service and what I felt was a reasonable price for a replacement transmission.

Everyone is so friendly even the owner and office manager came and worked on my vehicle. I was having a problem with the a/c and heater working. They were able to figure what was wrong and fix it.The following week my clutch went out. They were able to fit me and safe me money telling me it was not the clutch but other less expensive parts that needed to be replace.I will continue to use them.

To say the service was exceptional would be an understatement. Very rarely will you receive service that is world class from start to finish but you can expect that here. The shop was efficient and professional and a huge help in getting my G8 quickly taken care of. Im incredibly grateful for a smooth transaction.

I was going through a lot of problems in my life and to add to it my transmission on my vehicle gave out so I had it towed to amcoo to have it looked at but I didnt have the funds to have it worked on so instead of making me spend another 200$ to have it towed out of there they let me keep it there until I came up with the money to have it worked on and not 2 time did they call and pressure me to make a decision on when it was going to be worked on. I had the pleasure of working with understanding and hard working staff to help me get through this endeavor. Not only will I bring my vehicle in again to be worked on i will also recommend there services to everyone i know.

Very happy with Moe - he was great and diagnosed the problem which turned out not to be the transmission but a sensor in it - or whatever, but NOT a new transmission!! I Okd the work over the phone - the tow truck driver that took y M Benz to him said he worked with all th time so I felt confident not going to th shop in person. Repairs were done on time and all is working fine. Would highly recommend!

First of all, this Aamco shop in Auburn CA is an awesome shop. My Superduty was towed there on a Saturday. Ryan called me on Monday and told me my transmission had some issues. Lets just say it was done and would not go no more. It was a 10 weekday turnaround. Really good price on a transmission including the labor. I was shocked at how low the cost was and cant beat the nation wide warranty if you travel a lot. I highly recommend Aamco in Auburn.

As a full-time RVer, AAMCO, Auburn, CA, was the only facility able to take my GMC Sierrra 2500 HD truck - towing a 26ft trailer - when it blew a heater hose on Hwy 49 just north of Coloma. Very good Good Sam Roadside Assistance had trouble finding a tow truck big enough to take my rig, and because of twisty road has to take a long detour to Auburn (nearer Placerville had no repair shop with space to help). Extremely professional and helpful service from owner Dave and service writer Brian who could not make the repair so late in the evening - but allowed me to sleep overnight in my trailer on their forecourt! They fixed my truck first thing in the morning and I was on my way by 10am. So happy, I returned to them a month later to install a larger transmission cooler after a problem towing to South Lake Tahoe. Excellent service at very fair prices.

Mechanical Issues with Vehicles are always Stressful. We found this shop last summer and it turned out to be a huge blessing. Brent and Dave were incredibly professional, honest, and reliable. Brent was able to determine that my issue was an issue for enough Nissan Altima drivers that Nissan had extended the warranty for it. I was able to have a full transmission replacement at the dealership thanks to Brents diligent research. Super grateful.

Dont Service your vehicle at this AAMCO. They will not diagnose you vehicle correctly. If you have a check engine light on they will simply pull the code and throw a part at it to try and correct the issue. Transmission wont be repaired correctly. Incorrect fluids will be used in there repairs such as oil or transmission fluid. The owners know absolutely nothing about the automotive industry. They rebuild transmissions when the vehicle has other issues such as a plugged exhaust causing the vehicle not to accelerate over 20 mph. This is inside information from myself having worked there as a technician for three weeks and am no longer associated with them. I have over 8 years of automotive experience and can confidently tell you that this is the wrong place to go for professional service. They have just last week been sued for $4600 dollars for damaging a customers vehicle. This is straight from the California Bureau of Automotive Repair representative that came in the front door. Went in for what i thought would be a 2k$ job on my Beamer. After their free inspection, Turns out mechanically i was good, and it was a coding issue, which they dont do. That shows me that these guys are honest unlike loads of other mechanics ive dealt with in the past. Free wifi made my hour long stay pretty easy to sit through and everything they did was thoroughly explained to me before hand. As someone whos normally very wary of mechanics, trust me, these guys are great. Ill be going to them for anything i can from now on.

I bought my van from H & S a little over a year ago. From the beginning Swaran and Harry have watched over us. They are easy to work with, knowledgeable, and honest. Recently I have referred my best friend and my Dad to them. Both have been very satisfied with the work done and the cost. Their mechanic Brett, actually showed me the old parts for my dads truck. They were scary! We were driving on a prayer. Every time I call Aamco I get answers to my questions, replies to my requests, and solutions! I can drop off my car at night and first thing in the morning I get a phone call with information including my options. I feel so comfortable working with these folks. Im glad I stopped in that day oh so long ago and chatted with Swaran and Harry.

I was on a long road trip from the west coast to the east coast, towing a trailer when my truck broke down. They were personable and replaced my radiator in just a few hours.

Hari and Swaran are just the best anyone could ask for. They dont just fix my car, they take care of me as well, ensuring I am not inconvenienced by my car needing repair. There are many auto repair shops in the area but none offer the customer experience and drive to ensure the customer walks away happy. Thank you Hari and Swaran!!
