I came in with a van that couldnt be smogged because the catalytic converter monitor wasnt working. The catalytic converter was new (installed by a muffler shop) and I had performed drive cycles as recommended by the manufacturer (Chevy), but every time I went to the SMOG station I was told it wasnt ready and that I should drive it more. A mechanic recommended that I go to Auburn Auto N Smog. My registration was due at the end of September, and I needed this Smog certificate. I had tried to get the van Smog ready for 4 months and was getting desperate. The people at Auburn Auto N Smog were incredibly nice and professional. The mechanic called me as promised with his findings and performed the necessary repairs quickly and at a reasonable price. Although I was told that I would have to drive the van after the repairs before the Smog check could be done, the mechanic took it for a 4-mile test drive after the repairs were complete and the van was ready to be Smog tested. Auburn Auto N Smog surprised me with the Smog certificate when I picked up the van. I was so happy that I started crying. I would highly recommend Auburn Auto N Smog to anyone looking for a competent and reasonably priced mechanic. Thank you for getting my van fixed when nobody else could figure out what the problem was.

After moving to Auburn in 2007 it took me 7 years to find the perfect car repair shop. Les and Brooke are a great team and I love having them take car of my car. Les knows his stuff and Brooke keeps the front end of the shop warm and friendly. And the prices are fair. Whats not to like? Nothing at all. And everything to like.

Took my jeep in for a brake and lamp. Was told my ABS line and brake line were being pinched by my tail pipe, my clear DOT turn signal lense with amber bulbs were a fail, that my rear wheel cylinders were leaking among other things. I had just had my muffler and tail pipe replaced not 3 weeks prior to the inspection, the tech was adamant that they were routed wrong and need to be fixed. He was adamant that my lenses needed to be orange, I confirmed with the bureau of automotive repair that they are legal to be clear with amber bulbs. I inspected my brake and abs lines and could find to pinch as well as my tail pipe sitting a good 6 inches away from my axle and lines. Pulled my drums off to see that my wheels cylinders hadnt been disturbed (still caked with brake dust) and are not leaking. Was told my parking brake was working when in fact it works great. Ive filed a complaint with the BAR who sets the guidelines and regulates these inspections. As a mechanic and a woman I would not take my vehicle there for service.
