Great experience getting my piercings re-fitted on short notice! Friendly, safe, and hygienic!

I don’t like to give bad reviews or even reviews at all, I’m a pretty easy person to please but I went in today to get my second holes pierced. I won’t be giving the name of the piercer because she was so sweet and kind but my piercings aren’t even. I didn’t like the fact that there wasn’t a hand mirror so that I could look at them and make sure that they were even. She stood back and said, “That looks pretty even.” There’s a 3 millimeter difference and its quite noticeable. I will be calling once you guys open tomorrow to figure out what can be done to fix it.

I got my upper lobes pierced and they turned out great! Everyone was super nice and they took their time with marking and making sure I liked where the piercings would be. I will definitely be going back if I get another piercing.

How are yall going to be open but your shop is closed?! This isnt the first time and its getting very annoying.

I went into the shop looking for help with my nose piercing. I had a hoop piercing and I wanted a stud put back in and when I tell you JV was an amazing person to work with! Thank you so much love for your energy and your patience with me. I will be back !

I am so impressed with my tattoo! It is absolutely beautiful! Gabe turned my vision of what I wanted into a reality. He is very professional and friendly. Ive gone to other tattoo shops and immediately felt intimidated, but Sugar Skulls made me feel at home and totally welcomed. I wont go to anyone else! There are many local tattoo shops near me but Gabe is so awesome at what he does, the drive there was WELL worth it! If you want a quality tattoo, Gabe is the one to go to!!!

I was very shaky over looking at some of the reviews on this place then my husband told me to judge this place by myself because they could have just had a bad review but when I went in today to get to dermal piercings on my cheek the piercing woman was beyond nice she melt made me feel comfortable and was even laughing and making jokes on the table. Over all experience would definitely be a 10 out of 10 she even got my piercing in the right place I wanted it

I have been wanting my rook and tragus pierced for some time and I just decided that yesterday was the day to do it. I walked right in and Anna took care of me in less than an hour. I’ve had blood draws that hurt significantly more than the two piercings Anna gave me. She was great and the environment was clean. I fully recommend Sugar Skulls for piercing!

Between my wife and I, weve had 9 tattoos done by Gabe- we could not have been more pleased by the quality and his attention to detail. We consider him our family artist. You really cant go wrong with him if you want a great tattoo.

I HIGHLY recommend this shop. My body previously rejected every piercing Ive ever had and I came to sugar skulls on a last chance effort to help my chronic back pain. Ive been in pain for years and I brought a reflexology chart and got 3 snugs and a cartilage done and my pain has actually decreased since then. Im beyond grateful for them. Their customer service is amazing, the artists and apprentices here are as kind as can be. They help you through being nervous, make it as pain free as possible, and are so great at their jobs. I wouldnt trust any other shop with piercings or tattoos. Everybody here will make you smile and feel welcomed and comfortable. Please come here for anything you need as they can do it all and do it with perfection!!!

Great atmosphere. I got an industrial piercing done by Billy. It was quick and painless. He walked me through everything that he was doing. So professional and friendly. If I decide to get any other piercings it will definitely be from here.

Went in to get a piercing and Annie was so professional she took care of me made sure I was comfortable and the whole process was enjoyable. The place was clean and she took time to make sure everything was right. (Minus the needle going through my skin lol wasnt as painful as I though it would be.) I dont tip but she got a tip and I will be back.

First, my sister booked us appointments and put $40 down for each, when we got there theyd completely forgotten about our appointments. Then, when they did a what I feel was a rushed job and put solid color. No depth, shading or highlights. I was quite disappointed. The final straw was that I bled like a stuck pig. My tattoo is right between my shoulder blades, and I had rivulets of blood down my back. Ive never outright bled like it was an open wound from a tattoo before, and this was a touch up/redo. I didnt bleed the first time i got the tattoo.I will not be going back.

Incredibly disappointed with a recent piercing experience I had here.In 2016, I had my daith piercing done here and everything was fine, so I assumed it would be safe to return for another piercing. I wanted a second hole in my tragus.When I went in, I did not recognize the piercer who was there. I told her what I wanted and she seemed a bit nervous about doing it. I was skeptical as to if she had ever done it before, but figured that she was just asking so many questions because she was trying to be thorough. I asked if the jewelry we had chosen would be long enough to allow for swelling and healing, and she assured me it was.After the piercing, which was abnormally painful for a tragus piercing, she said Phew... That was fun. Never done that before. WHAT? This should be disclosed before putting a needle through my body. She also tried to tell me to clean the new piercing with Dial soap. Anyone who has experience with piercings knows that you should treat new piercings with a saline solution only.After about two days, I noticed that skin was trying to form over the piercing. I went back in and requested longer jewelry because there was not enough room for swelling. So I paid for another piece of jewelry. Skin continued to try and form, and it was obvious that the piercing was incredibly irritated.A few days later, the front of the jewelry came off. I went to another piercer because Sugar Skulls was closed that day, and she knew my piercing was done incorrectly the second she looked at my ear. It was pierced at an angle, which would have soon migrated and rejected. I had to take the piercing out and let it heal.Im very upset that I paid over $100 total for a botched piercing. I will not be returning here and would not recommend this studio.

I came in on a whim and got 5 ear piercings (tragus, 2 helixes, 2 forward helixes). Beth Ann did all of them so flawlessly. Im not a stranger to piercings, so I know that pain that comes with them. Beth Ann was SO gentle I felt almost no pain. All 5 of them just flew by with perfect placement and no issues. She talked me through the process and each piercing and was just wonderful. Highly highly highly recommend!!

I dont usually leave reviews (especially bad reviews), but the experience I had at Sugar Skulls was atrocious.Both my friend and I went to SS to get clear piercing retainers for my two newish lobe piercings and her newish cartilage piercing. From the moment we walked in the door, the girl helping us was very unprofessional and only begrudgingly helped us. We told her what we needed and she pulled the retainers our of the case. She knew what type of piercings we needed retainers for, yet she gave us both 16g curved barbells. My lobes were pierced at 20g and my friends cartilage was done at 18g, so these were definitely the wrong gauge and the wrong shape.Since I am new to piercings, I didnt realize at the time how much of a problem this would be. I double checked with the girl and she said what she gave me was fine so I took her word for it. ((Side note about the prices: $10 for one cheaply made plastic retainer is completely rediculous and I cant believe I paid $20 for these things.))We gave our cards to the girl and she sighed and started ringing us up. We had to wait about 5 minutes for the card reader to start working because apparently its on the same signal as the phone, which was being used, so we just had to wait.Then the girl rang up my friends card for $20 (two retainers) when she only needed one, which isnt a big deal, but she turned back to us and said in a very rude tone, What do you want me to do? We told her not to worry about it, my friend would buy two retainers and we could give one to another friend of ours.The girl immediately says, What?? This is too much math. And we explained it to her again, explicitly stating that we would both buy two retainers, which was $20 each, so all she needed to do was ring me up and give my friend the second retainer she had already paid for. She turned back to the cash register, sighing loudly multiple times and saying, This is ridiculous.After that, my friend had her put in the retainer which the girl said she could do. When they went to the back, the girl was throwing the chairs around loudly with more sighing. It had been pouring outside when we came to the shop, so my friends hat was a bit wet. When the lady touched it, she loudly and rudely said, That is so disgusting, and my friend apologized and tried to explain but the girl kept saying, Ugh, so gross.The whole time this was going on, some random people (one didnt seem to be an artist here, the other might have been) were lounging around on the couch inside the door, cussing, eating chips, and playing YouTube videos from their phone.The worst part is, neither of us were given receipts so I cant even return the (unused) $20 retainers that I paid for.The whole experience was very unprofessional and disrespectful and we are never coming back to Sugar Skulls. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY!

Went and got dermals in back of neck . Worst experience ever. They only let one person do person at both shops . Never again and my friends worst piercing experience.

READ BEFORE YOU GO PLEASE!!!Went to the location on South College for a tattoo of two roses and a butterfly. Got my arm completely DESTROYED by Chris. Really questioned if these people are professional about their business. I had an appointment at 1pm on MLK day I believe and literally did not have a needle hit my arm until about 5 pm. I did not make it out the shop until after closing for a tattoo that should not have taken more than 3 hours. He photoshopped my whole tattoo as I sat there and watched him pic different images off the web to copy. His drawing was completely remedial, and after the tattoo was done it looked awful. I have had many other tattoos on my body and none of them have I ever had an issue with besides this one. I was completely embarrassed to even wear a tank top anymore due to the fact that ANYONE AND EVERYONE looking at my arm could see this tattoo was messed up. The lines were completely shakey and blown out, the shading and coloring looked unfinished and just unflattering, and there were many design flaws due to the fact that he did not draw up my tattoo he simply photoshopped it. While sitting in the shop from about 1pm-9pm, there was a man just hanging out in the lobby getting drunk with his three year old daughter(not a customer), while all the actual customers were coming in. While I was waiting four hours for him to even take me back to get started, Chris went outside about 6-7 times to smoke cigs and or pot ( I know when people are smoking pot), he was trying to start on other peoples tattoos(during my appt time), and was talking to his baby mamma THE WHOLE time he was actually tattooing my arm! I am so ashamed I even sat through that whole day as I have had MUCH BETTER experiences with actual artists who put MY appointment time solely on me as the PAYING CUSTOMER. Went back to speak to presumably the owner of the shop after my arm had healed and she asked me Whats wrong with it that you dont like?. ARE YOU F***** KIDDING ME? I know we arent all professional tattoo artists but I know when a tattoo looks like S*** and she completely disregarded there was even anything wrong with it although it was completely obvious there were major flaws that could have been prevented if given the proper PROFESSIONAL artist. Anyways, went to Outlaw Tattoo in Montgomery to get it fixed (HIGHLY RECOMMENDED) and they totally fixed my busted A** tattoo. Dont make the same mistake I did and let the people at Sugar Skulls railroad you and make you feel like your stupid and dont know what youre talking about. Get some quality art from people who actually care to be at their job.

I went to get my tongue pierced two weeks ago and I was eating last night and I swallowed the whole thing the tongue ring loosen up and I wasted my money for NOTHING!!!😠😠😠 But it was irritating asf anyway so yeah Im not getting another one
