The place looks pretty neat and vintage. The service was very friendly. I just wasnt as impressed with the flavor of my Vanilla Honey Latte as I thought I would be. Looks like a good place for people to come and study or hangout.

The kids and I went today to get a Friday after school treat. We loved the atmosphere. The hazelnut latte was good and my son said he “L.O.V.E.S.” the hot chocolate. To me, the cinnamon rolls were MEH because of the frosting. They will only be the best to you if you like cream cheese frosting.

This place is absolutely amazing!!! The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is unlike any coffee shop Ive ever been to. The coffee is amazing but know that is more of the Italian way of coffee rather than like Starbucks or other similar places. You have to try their cinnamon rolls!!! They are made in store and are the best cinnamon rolls you will ever have. You have to come visit this place if you are in Auburn or anywhere close!

Ive been here several times now and absolutely love the Wonder Latte and the Minty Mocha Latte.

I stopped off here for some good coffee after traveling through from Pensacola. Chain stores are not my preference, I much rather go somewhere with a local feel. I ordered straight espresso, and you can tell that the beans are quality. Vicky and Josiah took terrific care of me, they were the actual bomb. The plethora of tables and chairs allowed me to rest and do some work while I was stopped, the big windows let in great natural light, and the casual feel was very comfortable. Ill be sure to come back when Im traveling through here again!

This place was dirty and coffee items were not good. Customer service was terrible. They brought the coffees by hand touching the mugs (where people normally sip), didn’t provide any tissue paper and spoons, spilled one coffee item and didn’t bother to replace it. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Such a fun atmosphere! I have been a regular for years and tried many different drinks and menu items, but my go-to is an iced Wild Lavender latte. The sweetest staff and you can tell they all work hard and enjoy getting to know customers

Everything here is amazing! I love their wild lavender latte! I get their avocado toast topped with salsa and tajin to eat, or their chicken salad with a fresh fruit cup! Don’t forget to bring home a fresh baked cinnamon roll, you’ll regret it!

Great coffee shop just on the edge of Auburns campus. As soon as you walk you can smell the amazing aromas of coffee and the many baked goods they sell. Definitely would recommend this place to anyone looking for a pick me up or delicious treat.

Stepping into this coffee shop and closing the door behind you, will envelope you into a rich aroma of fresh coffee and baked goods. The key lime pie is phenomenal with enough lime to make your taste buds crave one more bit. The cinnamon rolls melt in your mouth just like mommas homemade ones.

Good quality coffee in Auburn, Ive never had trouble finding a place to sit inside. Good place for breakfast as they have cinnamon rolls, theyre amazing, and waffles. The Bean also has a large selection of teas and numerous gelatos to choose from.

The coffee isnt bad. Honestly solid stuff. The atmosphere is really solid too. It feels very cozy. The problem is the owners can be rude, less than tactful about turning over tables, and cloying when it comes to compliments about their products. I usually choose my coffee shops for the vibe from the staff and as a result I rarely visit The Bean anymore

My wife and I recently visited the new location while studying for school. We bought several coffees since we stayed for a little while but we were asked to buy food since we had been there for a few hours. When my wife told them that they didnt have any food items she could eat due to allergies, they were very rude and requested that we leave and find somewhere else to go. I found this to be extremely rude considering we had bought several coffees. I expected better from a business that claims this is a great place to study. Ill just take my business elsewhere in the future and I recommend everyone else do the same.

The lady who owns this coffee shop is very rude. I tried to order a cheesecake from them and she made the process terrible. I called and asked about how much it would be per slice and she told me to do the math myself. Then she asked what flavor do you want and told the flavors, chocolate swirl and regular. So I picked regular and she said, Why dont you like chocolate swirl?. I told her I wanted to do regular and she complained saying she didnt have enough ingredients and she would have to go all the way to the store to pick them up and then said so what do you want to do?. I told her I would like to get what I asked for and she said okay and that was it. I eventually called back and canceled the order because it is not worth paying $40 for a cheesecake made by someone that is complaining even though they are getting paid to do what their business offers. She even complained about being very busy which is not something you should take out on your customers. Never will I do business with The Bean again. In the end, I went to Publix and had great service and a cheesecake worth the price.

The BEST coffee shop in the area!!!! Every experience Ive ever had at The Bean has been awesome. Its a family-run business, and Mama and Papa Bean (the owners) care about their customers and treat them like family. Ive also never had anything I didnt love here, whether it be food or beverage. This place rocks and will always be my favorite breakfast/study spot :-)

This shop is great. Their cinnamon rolls are truly amazing! They have a rewards program and after 10 visits, customers can get $3.50 off their next order. Its about the same price as a cinnamon roll. I also had their delicious chocolate swirl cheesecake. I cant wait to go back. This will definitely be my new coffee spot.

The Bean is an EXCELLENT coffee shop! The staff are ALWAYS nice and make great coffee and tea. My personal favorite thing to order is a “Mystery Frappe”, which basically tells the Barista to make a surprise flavor or combination for you. They always do a good job. The best item on the menu by far, however, is the cinnamon roll. It has a nice, soft dough, and the perfect balance of cinnamon and icing. Plus, the are made 100% fresh in house every day!

I rarely get coffee other than from home but the new location is on my way to work. The young Ladies working were friendly but were unable to make a half-caff coffee. I couldnt tell if this was because they werent equipped to, which seems strange at a coffee shop, or because it didnt seem like they had any way to ring one up. I settled for a regular 12 oz coffee which was fine but pretty acidic (probably just a personal thing). I also had a blueberry muffin which was super average. It seems to me that a muffin and a 12 oz coffee shouldnt cost nearly $6. I dont visit coffee shops often so maybe that is average these days...

Glad to see it was busy...maybe a little too busy...they were out of most of their gelato flavors (10am)...and out of several of the flavoring syrups..and when I ordered a pour over coffee...I was told that takes too much time and that I couldnt order that...when we did get our order it came out in 5 waves and my cappuccino was room temp (not an iced cap)..I have enjoyed the Bean the first couple of times we went at its new locatio... all the best...will try one more time

The coffee, drinks, and food (especially the cinnamon rolls) are absolutely amazing. Also, the staff are awesome, but the owner can really make your time there unenjoyable. She works quite often and has multiple times been very, very rude to customers and employees in front of many which makes people feel not very welcomed.

It was awesome. The young man at the counter was very kind, fun and helpful. Atmosphere was great!! The cinnamon buns were delicious! All 4 of us got something different to drink and all loved it!!

Super cozy place! Its owned by a local family and they have great baked goods. The cinnamon rolls are literally the best thing you will ever eat. The place can get a little loud if there are a lot of people, but otherwise its a great place to study and its pretty close to campus. I dont drink much coffee, but their tea and hot chocolates are pretty darn good. Theyve got lots of flavors to chose from as well. Definitely would recommend.

I came in last night and had a great experience. I asked the barista for a hot coffee recommendation and she recommended a great peaberry coffee that she had out to me very quickly. They have a lot of actual furniture, and the whole place has a really chill ambience. For three bucks, I got a killer cup of coffee, an inviting space, and great service. Can’t ask for more from a coffee shop. I’ll definitely be back in the future.

Truly the best coffee Ive had. There are a lot of great coffee shops in Auburn, but this one is hands down my favorite. They have selections of various roasts from all over the world. And they have several different options of how they brew it, including chemex and pour over. Highly recommended!

A little 70s themed shop that has great coffee and pastries made in house. The coffee and food is so good! I love the coffee because its good but its not too sweet like a lot of Starbucks coffees are. There are tons of places to sit, and a number of pretty big tables that are great for doing homework. I always manage to come when it isnt super busy, and its quiet enough that I can focus and get a lot of stuff done. The staff are really friendly and they bring what your food/coffee to wherever youre sitting. This place is great!

I don’t frequently write reviews but this place is awesome. If I had a friend coming from out of town and wanted them to see one coffee shop, this would be it. Really unique and still has a family feel to it.

Espresso here has a irregolare strong back door taste. It it not like coffee found in Naples. The cinnamon rolls are excellent. I am cliente abituale and the biggest issue are my affrontare with the madam in charge of her cafe. She has a big, scary personality and is no accogliente to her patron. I try to treat her with kindness, but she is freddo. She treats me as though I am cagna though I am a good patron. I am no longer going to come here. I do not suggest coming here to be non benvenuto.

I swear to God, if you love coffee and tea and never gone there, idk what to say to you.Although I never gone on dates, I would say this is a good place for a first date. They have board games, Delicious desserts, along with Belgian waffles that got my friend hooked.I always ordered the Plum spice flavor since Im not much of a coffee person myself. It warms me up whenever I enter the darken mood.

Iced Chai Tea latte tasted like a simple glass of milk with cinnamon on top. Took 30+ minutes to get my drink and food. The owner lady & workers are not friendly at all and I did not feel welcome there. Customer service & food quality 0/10. Will not be returning

The coffee really isn’t anything special, I have been to many other coffee shops around town that have been much more impressive. This biggest thing that bothers me is how rude the owner/employees are. I have been to this location and there old one several times and not once have I had a nice interaction. I will say the cinnamon rolls are good, but there are other places I’d rather go for one.

Cute, funky coffee house! I tried the dirty iced coconut chai latte. It was just okay. My son had the hazelnut frappe and it was delicious. My daughter had an iced peach blossom tea and it was really good. We shared a cinnamon roll. They are huge and yummy, not too sweet! We played blokus while we were there. All in all it was a fun trip.

The web site is better than actual place. Had waffle it was cold and extremely plain. The physical place needs renovations due to moldy back room! If I had seen that before we ordered we wouldve left immediately!

Pros: The Bean is an amazing place! The coffee is great and the vintage 70s atomosphere is nice! A great place to study. Plenty of room for students laden with many books. I love this place!! It is my one of my favorites in Auburn.Cons: Parking can be a hassle, depending on what time of the day it is (it IS in downtown Auburn). Do not park in front of the dry cleaners next door; theyll quickly tell you to relocate your car.

My finace and I decided to try this place since its within walking distance of where we live. It was crowded, but our orders were taken quickly. My fiances order was taken first as he just order a vanilla chai latte. I order next a vanilla chai latte and a Tex Mex breakfast casserole. We waited almost an hour to get our orders and mine came out first even though my fiance ordered his first and ONLY ordered a drink. His came out about 15 minutes later. The vanilla chais tasted absolutely disgusting. There was no vanilla to taste and they both tasted like hot water with a ton of cinnamon thrown on top to make it look fancy. On top of that, they gave me a regular breakfast casserole and when I asked about it they said they had run out of ingredients and I never got a refund for the difference between the two. The drink ended up making me sick later on. The location also causes a difficult situation with getting home. People park on both sides of the road, basically causing barely enough space for a single car to get through (its supposed to be a two lane road) and it is causing a traffic hazard. I have nearly crashed into vehicles trying to come from the opposite direction multiple times.

This is the best mom&pop coffee shop Ive been to. It has an enjoyable chic atmosphere, and the owners and staff are so helpful. They make the best baked goods and their caramel tea with cream is really tasty.

Most are going to think they got misinformed about the location, even parked a few feet from the front door. Its hard at first glance to notice that theres a business there. Staff treats customers like family. This place definitely represents quality over quantity. Everything is very good. You are welcome to stay for any length of time. Owners know some good jokes too.

After having been here a few times, I feel like the owner lady is always rude and not a people-person. I commented on the cute decor my first time in, and she hardly replied and didnt smile or look at me. The prices are too high. And the bean quality is low compared to Mama Mochas. I just havent enjoyed any of my experiences here and felt unwanted as a customer.

Owners have been rude and snapped at me on multiple occasions before I even speak to them. I have put up with it because of the atmosphere and location; however, after seeing the woman be rude and confrontational to another customer was simply uncalled for. I will not be returning and from the looks of other reviews, I am not the only one. If you want to feel unwelcome at a coffee shop, this is the one for you.

I know too many people that boycott this coffee shop due to being treated poorly by the owners. Local coffee shops should be friendly and welcoming to their customers, and as there are plenty of coffee shops in Auburn that do so, this is not one of them. I would not recommend this coffee shop to anyone.

When the owner passive aggressively tells you that the library has free seating and basically tells you to buy something, it really makes you not want to come back. I hope someone else wants to purchase their coffee because not I wont be.

I dont understand how someone that decided to open a coffee shop could be so unkind. When I asked for a fresh cinnamon roll, the owner told me he had to sell the older ones first. On another trip, the mans wife rudely asked me to move to a smaller table (in an angry voice while the shop had plenty of seating)
