Started with their online service which was slow but good. Set a time to come in to look for a new bike, was there early, was never greeted. All five men in the shop, including the three customers, turned to see me walk in before resuming business. By the time there was only one customer left ahead of me, I still hadnt been acknowledged, even to ask if I was waiting for someone or was lost. Twenty minutes after I arrived, only one other customer in the shop besides me, another male walks in, he was greeted promptly and courteously. I did witness very good customer service to the men in the shop. Despite expecting me, though, I was ignored entirely. I walked out and bought a bike elsewhere. I chose this place specifically to do business with a small business. I couldnt have been more disappointed. Especially when their apology was to say they try to greet everyone but sometimes theyre too busy. Three customers is hardly busy and they definitely were not too busy to greet a man. I really did not expect to encounter that.

Honesty is always the best policy so... let me shoot you straight about this quaint little shop.I recently did a search for motorcycle repair shops to aid me in mounting some tires on a 1973 Honda CL350 project I am in the middle of. Which led me to only a handful of places near me. I called them all and KFG was the most friendly shop over the phone, so despite some of the other reviews on here I decided to roll the dice.Dropped of my wheels, tires, tubes and straps on Friday in the AM. “ Today or Tomorrow.... it’ll probably be tomorrow” ( That’s Saturday for those of you marking your mental calendars. ) Friday passed... no tires... no sweat... they looked pretty busy to be dealing with some customer provided goodies. You know the drill... minimal profit. Saturday started to get dangerously close to closing time when I spoke with Shaun learning of his manpower woes and he’d have to deliver on Tuesday instead. Bummer but... let’s be real the bike is sitting in a million pieces in my garage so it’s not the end of the world.Tuesday late in the morning I get a call from Shaun and it sounds like my wheels are ready to roll.....I get to the shop that evening to snatch up my rubber coated circles and I was told about how they went above and beyond to clean the inside of the spoke wheel rims due to some crusty rust build up. ( no shocker there.... this bike has been sitting for almost 15 years ) they even showed me pictures.Moral of the longest of short winded stories; KFG and Shaun earned my repeat business from this experience. Now it’s back to looking at those sweet tires and imagining rolling down a curvy road!

I recently sold my motorcycle on consignment through KFG Motorsports. After seeing that my bike was marked SOLD online, I had to call and text repeatedly to get confirmation that I was in fact due money for the sale. NO ONE contacted me. It then took a week to get a FedEx tracking number for my check. My check was not sent for another 4 days, claiming FedEx missed our pick up. To put icing on the cake, the check I received BOUNCED. I still have not received payment for the sale of my motorcycle. Wheres my money April???????????????????????????????Update: I eventually received my payment via domestic wire. I do not recommend doing business with KFG Motorsports.

Got some wheels powder coated and needed new bearings installed. They installed them askew so I couldnt get the rear axle through. Took it back, thought mistakes happen and Ill give them a second chance. This time they didnt seat the bearings down far enough and my sprocket hub wouldnt seat properly in the rear wheel. Even after doing poor work, they dont even fix it properly. There is no quality control here. No doubt these guys have caused accidents or mechanical damage to other customers aswell. Recently I took my Honda F4i stunt bike to KFG for a valve adjustment which started out great. They were very responsive and kept me up to date with the progress on the bike and was very flexible with adding service that I decided to do after dropping it off. From this I “thought” I could not have been happier with the service. Then when I picked up my bike is when all of the fun started. No more than about 10 minutes after picking up my bike and riding around for a few miles, i notice smoke coming up from the bike and I look underneath and notice it is just dumping oil. I call KFG and they said they will take a look at it free of charge which is great. They determined that the valve cover pushed out and that was one of the causes of the leak in addition to the stator cover and clutch cover gaskets failing. This is when their whole demeanor changed and they said that the reason for these things all simultaneously failing is that quote “when we inspected the bike it was at least .5-1 quart overfilled”. I didn’t think of it at first but after we got off the phone and I decided to replace the other two gaskets myself I thought that this was really odd to me as the bike had almost no oil in it when I brought it to them the second time as it had all leaked out, and if it was overfilled, why was this not something that was addressed when I initially brought the bike in? Didn’t think anything else of it until I was tearing my bike down getting ready to replace the gaskets in which I noticed the valve cover had a vacuum cap over the crankcase vent in which I previously had vented through the exhaust via the clean air mod. That is when I realized why everything failed as the crankcase built up pressure as there was no place for all the pressure to vent so it cause all the possible gaskets to push out/fail. It was beyond frustrating that not only was KFG trying to pin fault on me using the fact that stunt bikes typically are overfilled but in this case my bike was practically empty, but I also ended up wasting even more of my time having to wait on parts and doing the repair myself when it could have been avoided by venting it the way it should have been in the first place when they put back together after the valve adjustment. Overall very disappointed because of the second half of the interaction and it is safe to say I will not be bringing any of my bikes, stunt bike or not, back to KFG.

Brought my sons 2002 Honda XR70R dirt bike here on a recommendation to be gone through. I wanted it to be safety checked and made reliable. They quoted me $800. After months of not hearing anything, I finally called and they said they were waiting on parts. They didnt communicate any changes or that the bid had changed. I called another 2 months later ajd they said, oh, its done. When I arrived the bill was now $1800. They are terrible at communicating and overcharged me more than twice what they quoted. On top of that, got the bike home, doesnt run correct and wont stsy running. It is also leaking oil when it didnt before. I live 2 hours away so I fixed it myself. Turns out they forgot to put a gasket on the crankshaft side bolt. Will never do business with again and cannot recommend.Edit, now that Ive fixed the leak myself, Im discovering lots of new problems that were left unrepaired. For instance, replaced the chain but left it too long that it hits the kickstand. Talk about a safety hazard for a 7 year old. The muffler was left unbolted at the rear and was just hanging. Cant believe I missed this when I picked it up. The rear brake has the wrong bolts on it, which will cause it to fail. Their job was to take my sons Honda safe and functional. They failed on so many accounts. DO NOT TAKE YOUR MOTORCYCLE TO THESE PEOPLE TO WORK ON.

I was very disappointed to hear about my step fathers treatment at the motor sports shop he is a disabled on a very low source of income And his motorcycle being his only mode of transportation to get both food and necessities. He spent almost all the money he had to get a new chain put to on his motorcycle and they not only put. Chain on that was to long without adjusting they also because he didn’t have the funds to replace the battery they wouldn’t even trickle charge or jump his Motorcycle.Pretty sad! Also he said he was missing a front lug bolt witch on a bike is life Or death and instead of replacing that or even telling him about it they try to sell him a battery ? Without even bringing up the missing lug? Until he’s about to leave the shop ?Just seems to me like a very shady way to do business I’ll be surprised if they try to remedy this situation.

KFG worked their magic on my Daytona 675R (won the novice championship, and it was mostly the bike ;), R6, RC390 Cup and my Husky Supermoto suspension. They have great track side support on track and race days on the west coast. They are a specialty shop, they dont carry a huge inventory. Its family owned and both owners are ex racers from PNW, their experience and knowledge is well above an average shop. They will find, machine, build parts that are not on the catalogs to make a steering stabilizer work, or machine a spacer in delrin to raise your ride height, or find and install the custom length hose with correct angled banjos to bypass ABS. If you track your bike or carving corners on Highway 20, give these guys a call. They can help you understand how important to have suspension that is tailored to your riding, skill level and equipment. Or anything else that has to do with bikes.

Ask the guy why and he told me theres a shop fee and I believe processing fee which are hidden fees. careful when you go there or call for a quote Make sure you get exact amount and in writing otherwise It will be a lot more. I wouldnt even leave this review but because a lady overheard my conversation with my service wrap she asked me whats going on I explained to her and she said she feels like they were up front with me... How is that 45 + 45 is 90 10% tax is 99 my total bill was 110 either she doesnt know how to do math or they have hidden fees and its the lateral. after all the work was done and it looks to be done correctly Thats the only good thing out of this experience.Response: Unlike you I value my time. Your employee quoted me $45 a wheel on the phone I drove there spent my time being there at that point I just dropped them off so you can get them done because I didnt want my time wasted. Apparently you have no value on your time and you would take them off just to give me my money back. Keeping your customer satisfied is being honest with them doesnt matter if its on the phone or in person. At the end of the day I paid $11 more then was quoted on the phone. Update:We used KFG Motorsports to sell our Harley motorcycle, and originally wrote this review to try and get our cash from that sale. At the time we felt that we likely wound wind up having to sue them to receive our cash. It took months of attempts and even the threat of a lawsuit to get them to send us a check- which was ultimately returned for insufficient funds. We ultimately contacted a lawyer who let us know that the multiple mistruths told to us about sending out payment, ultimately concluding in a bounced check, moved this from a civil court issue to a criminal court claim. It was at this time that KFG finally paid us. Not until they were threatened with criminal charges, and nearly 4 months after the sale of our consigned vehicle. At that time the dealership also offered to refund the commission that they claimed on our sale, if we would remove our negative review of their service. We refused to do that, but did agree to update our review to mention service recovery if they would indeed refund us the commission. KFG agreed to this compromise. The commission was never sent to us.At the end of the day - no matter how communication was or was not (two sides will always have two stories) the bottom line remains that this business lied about sending us our money TWICE, bounced a check, tried to bribe us to remove factual reviews of their behavior, and when we would not, tried to lie about us and shame us online to save face.More Details:KFG never made contact with us when our asset was delivered into their possession. They did not consult us on where wed like the asset priced for sale. They did not seek our approval on sale price. KFG made zero proactive communication with us. Theyve been reactive at best, and even that was a struggle. This is terrible customer service and likely violates consignment best practices and customer service standards. The bike sold per communication from the shop on July 25, 2020. We were promised the profit from the sale (again, a sales price we were not consulted on and did not approve in advance) would arrive via mail within 7-10 business days.We called them to inquire about it in early August and were told that it must have been lost in the mail, as they sent the check via USPS.We do not believe it was ever sent, as no tracking number was ever provided, and the check never surfaced from the USPS.KFG advised that they would cancel that check and issue a new one, to be sent via FED-EX and arrive in 3 days.By Mid-August the check still had not arrived. That SECOND check has also never surfaced. Again, we do not believe it was ever sent, as they also could not provide a tracking number for this payment. On 9/17/2020 we called again and were told Fed-Ex must have lost it, and theyd follow up with Fed Ex. They did not call back, as promised, with an update. On 9/18 we were told that they had not followed up with Fed-Ex, but it must be due to the wildfires.According to KFG, the FED-EX postmarked check should have mailed well before wildfires broke out. KFG offered no assistance other than, We dont know what happened to it.KFG refused to provide a realistic, tangible explanation for where our funds were or when they will be delivered. We ultimately did call our local police department and were told to retain a lawyer. When we shared this information with KFG on 9/18/2020, they surely did post-mark a check to us.However, that check was returned for insufficient funds, proving that they misallocated the funds from our bike.Im sharing this story publically to try and prevent others from being scammed by this terrible business.DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS.

Got notified my bike was ready so i came in and was made to wait an hour of my time while they searched the store for my key after they apparently lost it... original purpose for being there was to have a new suspension put in and adjusted. The size spring for my weight wasnt available at the time so he assures me well just order the next size up, it really doesnt matter but... it matters. Well they put in the suspension just fine and didnt seem to lose any pieces to my bike but the thing is that I asked numerous times to have it adjusted and it was not. Shawn brought me around back to try it out, was clearly unconcerned if i was satisfied and rushed me out. My overall experience made me feel very uncomfortable to argue this with him and decided to just adjust it at home... which for my 2019 xt250 means entirely disassembling the airbox, exhaust and battery tray to get to it. Wish I wouldve just put in the time myself from the beginning.

Came here to get my tires replaced. The cost of the job was over 300% of what other local dealerships charge. Iam always, all for supporting the local small businesses. Which is why I came here to get my tires installed despite the much higher cost.I figured that I might get a little more personal treatment for the extra 200%...maybe they might REALLY take their time and do their best to not scratch my rare limited edition wheels. Possibly, they might even take the time to paint the wheel weights or maybe even clean and adjust my chain (like the dealerships often do).Nope.... I finally got my bike back after they made me wait an hour for an appointment that I booked weeks ago(that they forgot about somehow). And lo and behold...both wheels gouged/scratched,bike is dirty with fingerprint marks and grease marks in various places, wheel weights not painted, chain wasn’t cleaned and the mechanic forgot to tighten down a couple things before handing the bike back.So what the hell did I pay the extra money for? Probably the 4-5 employees I saw trying to look busy for hours while I was there.I can get good service for really cheap at the dealership, and they have coffee for me too. No reason to ever come to this place unless you like to donate money to people who don’t take pride in their work.Needless to say, I’ll never be back..I won’t ever recommend this place, and they will never ever touch my bike again. Took 3 months for them to dyno my bike. Got it back with 5 missing fairing bolts and a missing mud guard.

I came in with a bike that wouldnt run, and these guys got right on it despite their backlog of work. A week later I picked it up, but the problem was back after only a couple minutes of riding. They took the bike back immediately and found the issue a few days later (clogged fuel filter) at no charge. I couldnt have asked for better service with a tricky issue. Their prices are absolutely fair, and I never felt neglected as a customer. This shop has my loyalty.

Very happy with work and set-up that Ive had performed there. Its really amazing the difference custom suspension work makes on your bike. I would not hesitate to return for work.

Brought in my 91 nighthawk that I bought last fall. It was a craigslist find and I knew the bike needed some attention. I was ignorant and had originally thought that it needed its carbs cleaned/ rebuilt. These guys could have easily agreed with me and taken me on for a very expensive (and unnecessary) job. Instead they displayed absolute integrity by being honest about the condition of my bike and only recommending and ultimately performing maintenance that my bike needed.Rode away today with confidence in my rebuilt brakes.Had a bit of a problem with some interference with the levers colliding against my end of bar mirrors. They got me adjusted to be safe for the road and gave me recommendations on different shorty levers or lower profile mirrors. These problems are due to my insistence that I use the non OEM handlebars. They even honored my prior service with a military discount.I will be returning next time I need help with a bike.

TLDR; The KFG Staff is friendly and cares about the customer. I am interested in doing business with them again soon!Long version: I had my suspension tuned by Barry at a 2Fast event. And although I remember him telling me the baseline tune would cost 40, I was later charged 60 dollars plus tax. I called KFG to see if there was a misunderstanding, and according to the staff at the office, the baseline price has always been 60.Im not sure where the miscommunication happened, if I misunderstood Barry or if Barry told me the wrong number. Either way, KFG did the gracious thing and refunded me 20 bucks and reduced the price to 40.This was certainly a bit of a strange miscommunication, but Ive dealt with other companies that handle this in a far poorer way and are not very friendly at all.Im hoping to get the suspension on my 848Evo upgraded by the guys at this shop. Really great place.

Bad experience, ordered parts for my bike they told me they would be in 2-3 days. Also that they would call me when they come in. One week later I call they said there was a problem and they would call me. Another week goes by still no call. I call them up again 3 weeks later and my parts were in. Never got a call to let me know my parts were in. Cutting in to my ride time, poor communication with clients wouldnt recommend going here.

These guys, and girl, are great. I have had them do suspension, tires, find parts, and even engine rebuild. They always do a great job. They know sport bikes, race, street, off road, MX, you name it. The last one Berry did my YZ 250 suspension for off road/MX and it is fantastic! They have done sport bikes for me that I can drag my elbow at the track with. I could go on, as I keep going back to them. More than 10 years now.

This business, KFG, absolutely impresses.I bought a track bike this past year that was so good it ruined me for the sloppy ride of what I use on the street. Low and behold, I found out KFG had something to do with the setup of the track bike, and their staff had already been helpful to me at a track day on separate issues. Twice. After tearing it up on the track this summer, going back to my street pig was just letting me know what a glaring example of lack of upkeep it truly was. It was time to make lworking on it a priority. I had lost my working space to split apart the bike and leave it apart for the time it would take to source parts and perform repairs - and was quite depressed at this. So I caved and turned for the first time to a business to work on one of my bikes. I took it to KFG.The KFG shop earns what their name and discipline as a race-prep outfitter implies. KFG is made up of friendly, professional people that really know their craft. Their attention to detail, professional and informative notes on well-laid paperwork is outstanding! Not only did I leave with a full, detailed account of all work line by line, I also received copies of the technician notes that were used throughout the service. I can see first hand what the math was and where settings were placed. The work is as clean and as careful as the paperwork. As an individual with over half a lifetimes experience wrenching on all of my own vehicles and many belonging to those around me - from passenger cars, motorcycles, dirt bikes, race cars, trucks, equipment and more - I feel Im at least somewhat qualified to judge the work of another, and the peeps at KFG worked to the standard of quality on my motorcycle that can only be acheived through genuine care, maybe even like it was one of their own fleet. At least thats how it translates. And all that was for just a street bike. I would trust them with my track bike. KFG is top notch.
