I was a customer for over 10 yrs but that ended 12/20. The sales person failed to update my invoice with a color change which I emailed and he replied acknowledging. After the installers had ripped out the old carpet and rolled out the new one we noticed it was wrong (lesson - always verify color before the installers start work!). After I was unable to reach anyone, the installers called the owner. The owners opening statement was Listen Lady, you have cost me hundreds of dollars. The phone was on speaker so my husband and the installers all heard the owner proceed to literally yell at me for their mistake - it ended with me hanging up. I communicated with the installers asking them to leave the pad since I didnt have anything for the flooring and I would pay for it. I found a different carpet company that afternoon. I was refunded my money after speaking to a different person in the company but neither the owner or sales person ever called me back. This is after 10 years of business with them for numerous rental & personal projects.
We went to both Carpet Exchange and Carpet Depot, Alan and the other gentleman that work at Carpet Depot were awesome! Alan spent time with us, was patient, lended his insight and was overall wonderful to work with. Ultimately we decided to wait but we will definitely do business with Carpet Depot when we are ready in the future!
Excellent service, great product, and perfect installation! Alan was great to deal with during the entire process. He kept me informed and made the process easy. Wendell is a master of the trade. He was timely and responsive. He even drove out to our home to conduct the final QC outside of business hours to ensure our happiness. This is a great company and I highly recommend them! Thanks Carpet Depot team! My family and can now enjoy our dream home!

I wanted install carpet at my house for a few months but I was getting way over price on other places especially those big store. Then I found “Carpet Depot” here they give a lot of choices to choose from that was something I was not getting on the other place because of my small budget . I had a small budget they where able to find something that I looking for. For the carpet I got I save I lot of money. I would of spend a lot more money on the big stores.The process of the installation was great too really nice people.!
Good prices, terrible customer service. I hate coming out here and writing bad reviews (I try to only post good ones) and contact the companies directly with issues, but I already complained a half dozen times to them and they were barely apologetic and never once offered any sort of discount.We had our carpet done by them recently and had a bad experience. Our carpet was supposed to be installed on a Monday, but was delayed due to COVID (no big deal, just communicate). I was told the installers would come between 8 and 9. I called several times and finally got a call back at 10:30 from the other store. He told me it was not in yet and would need to be installed the next day. So you didnt know the shipment was delayed until 2 hours AFTER you were supposed to show up? We both took the day off to be home for the install AND we had duct cleaning and window cleaning scheduled for the next couple days. Obviously with COVID we didnt want all these people in the home at once. The guy I talked to didnt seem to think he had any responsibility to communicate this stuff to us, despite my complaints that we could have just worked that day instead of waiting half the day for people who didnt show or call.They came the next day and were there until 7 or 8:00 at night and were not finished. So now we had the duct cleaner coming the next day (that we had to push back) and the window cleaner that now had to work around carpet that wasnt done. The crew told me theyd come back around noon the next day and finish. Well, guess what...they never showed up and nobody called me. I had to call multiple times and finally got a hold of someone after 4:30. They had been scheduled on a job 2 hours away and could not make it (keep in mind this is already 2 days after it was supposed to be done, and now another no call no show). The kicker is that the office didnt even know they did not finish installation and so the office already cashed our check for completion!We finally got it finished the next day (they agreed to come before whatever job they had that day), so someone else had their job delayed by an entire day probably. I think the installers did a good job (they lined the pattern up nicely), but clearly they dont communicate with one another well. And clearly the office doesnt care to update customers at all.I hate to say it, but I cant recommend this place at all unless the office has a sudden change in their ability to serve customers. We wanted to give our business to a local place (rather than big box store)...I am glad we did that, but I just wish the level of care was reciprocal. Reading similar reviews on here from other customers with the same exact problem, it doesnt seem like they care to adapt to any sort of shipping delays and schedule things with more of a buffer for delays. We would have been happy to schedule the stuff a week later (it was no emergency), YOU told us it would be installed that day. Alan was nice, but I %100 agree with the other review on here that the main guy (seemed to be overall manager) was pretty rude on the phone. It felt like I was inconveniencing HIM!
Communication and ownership is horrible! They installed the wrong carpet, didn’t come back until the next day and charged us for moving basic large furniture but never put it in our quote so they charged us more day of. Workers are awesome but please stay away from this place!!
I am so happy I decided to go with Carpet Depot. The experience was wonderful and easy. Shane was very helpful, knowledgeableand professional. My home looks amazing with my new flooring! You cant go wrong with these guys!!!
Very pleased with my decision to use Carpet Depot. They did an amazing job on both our hardwood floors and carpet through the entire house. Great customer service all the way through, Alan really knew his stuff and John was super friendly. The installers were great, they got here when they said they would, worked fast and hard until the job was done!!! The floor looks awesome. Thanks again to all of you at Carpet Depot. I recomend this company for all your flooring needs.
Our Sales Guy, at Arapahoe and Parker was extremely friendly and helpful. Our Installers, not so much. They carpeted over our closet door track, and it took them a month to come and fix it. The head guy, from the Main store was very rude, and abrupt over the phone. He was constantly interrupting me, as if I was not important enough to finish talking. I also contacted them about our Warranty, and have yet to hear back from them. So, No, I would no longer recommend this place.
I would be glad to give it more stars if the clerk at South Aurora location could manage customer expectations better. There was a delay in promised product delivery date, no proactive or follow up phone calls of any kind.UPDATE:After a phone call, the owner personally delivered our order to the door within one hour. Clearly, they are taking steps to earn your future business. Nice job.
Great customer service! Came in around lunch time and a salesman named John asked me if I needed anything. He was kind and very efficient in helping with my flooring needs. I definitely recommend this place!
I have a large 900 sq. ft bedroom. We went to Carpet Depot based on the reviews that we read - makes me wonder if they are real. What a huge mistake!!! After paying half of the $5000, we worked nights and two weekends, getting the room painted (due to all of the angles, and high ceilings this was quite a task). When we ordered the carpet, we received a call a few days later saying that the carpet was back ordered. While not happy, we understood and they gave us another date. They indicated that date was firm. This morning they were supposed to install the carpet. When we called this morning to confirm the time, they indicated the carpet was not in. I am shocked at the lack of customer service. They didnt feel the need to call us and let us know - especially knowing we had arranged a new bed delivery the following day. They offered us an insulting $200 credit for our inconvenience. We cancelled the complete order and are now starting over. I would highly recommend that you avoid this place!

My wife and I couldnt be happier with our decision to purchase our new flooring (both carpet and laminate) from Carpet Depot. Allen, the store manager was so helpful. I cant thank him enough for helping us save so much money. He helped us select the right flooring at a great price. Even with the install we saved a boat load ($$$$) of money. I highly recommend them and ask for Allen!

BEWARE! After spending $2,573.29 I have a huge seam running across my living room. There is a gap at the end of the carpet where it meets the tile in the main entrance way. The first thing you see when you enter my living room is this seam. The base trim is all beat up (living room, hallway, bedroom). Five months going back and forth trying to get them to repair it or replace it - response: no seam is completely invisible. Well, let me tell you something, this is my 4th whole house replacement (3 of them with Empire Today) and not a single seam is visible (one house is 2970 sq ft, another house was 2400 sq ft, and the other one is 1600 sq ft). I was told the installation crew from Carpet Depot was fired after this kind of work was done in 3 other homes, but yet the owner Wendell refused to make it right. I tried to give a local guy some business - never again. This store does not deserve to be in business; they dont stand behind their work; and from the most recent reviews they dont seem to care to fix the problem. I wish I would have read these reviews before I did business with them. STAY AWAY - Call Empire Today.
From the initial estimate to installation these guys were awesome! Great price and great customer service! 5/5 for sure!
Dont believe anything the sales guys promise you or tell you will happen including fees, appointment schedules, or customer service. Installers did a great job but they are contracted out. Customer service and communication is lacking by far
We went to the store for the first time Saturday around 1:00. We walked in and we heard a voice say hi from the back and that was the only contact we had with the salesperson. We were the only customers in the store, he was eating something at the desk and the phone rang. After 5 minutes of walking around and waiting while he was on the phone we finally left. We drove to another carpet store and purchased new carpet. I would never go back to carpet depot. It is a shame because they have a great website and very nice brands of carpet but no customer service.
