The beer here is good and the coffee is strong and tasty! When those caffeinated beverages hit your tum like a freight train and things start getting a little rumbly, you can take solace in the privacy and spaciousness of the restroom situation. One of the best spots in all of Austin for boom time.
They have a lot of seating inside and outside. Great place to spend an afternoon or morning. Havent tried their food but i like they matcha team.
Stopped at this place every morning while in town for a few last week. Cant say enough about how courteous the staff is and how awesome the iced lattes and Bacon/egg/cheese on everything bagel were. Definitely recommend
Good coffee. Good breakfast sandwiches. Busy spot.
I come here after work on a biweekly basis and they ALWAYS come through. The workers are so sweet and can somehow know exactly what alcohol to recommend at 7:30am on a Sunday after a shift where you got cussed out by your patients for 12 hours. Thanks Wright bros!
I dont drink much coffee (have heard the coffee is great 2nd hand) but their breakfast sandwiches and scrambles are next level. Also a nice patio sitting area to enjoy the Austin weather and watch whatever wild thing is happening at the target across the street (I saw what looked like a DEA arrest one time).
Love the golden mylk latte! And the staff is always so nice.
Amazing beer 🍻 selection, great cold brew coffee ☕️, a small menu with bagels, and a cool 😎 place to chill. There is outdoor seating 💺 and free WiFi! First cold brew is $4.25 and refills are $1.50! The space is huge. There is a backroom lounge area! There is amazing Mexican food around the corner 🌮 and 🌯 ! Definitely a great place to go! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Coffee and bagels are in point! Great spot for a morning sip.
40 beers on tap and a full coffee bar . Great beers to choose from logically organized on the menu . Small bites to eat but if youre really hungry this isnt the spot for you.EDIT : Bagels are overpriced and not up to par with Rockstar or Wholly Bagel . Asking for a bagel Toasted yields a slightly warmed bagel even though it was not busy at all. And then you get to spread the cream cheese yourself. I feel like WB B&B should disassociate themselves from the bagel ops. The 4 stars strictly for the beer and coffee selection/service. Youre welcome.
Coffee us fantastic, bagels are great (I’m from Nyc), staff is super chillGood way to start your day 💪🏼
Seriously love this place. Not only do they have amazing beer, but the atmosphere is great and they give back to the community. Highly recommend!
This place was blissfully air-conditioned. I got just the basic cold brew coffee, I usually need tons of cream and sugar but decided to get it black this time. It was absolutely delicious, smooth, and ice cold, perfect and light for this Texas heat. Their bathroom was clean and gender non-discriminating, a lovely bonus.
This is one of my favorite coffee houses on the east side. It has a lot of good seating and outlets, so youll have an easy time working from here. If youre a coffee drinker, their drip coffee has free refills too.The other great part of B&B is they have ~25 beers on tap, mostly local, and always changing. So you can be here all day and transition right from working to happy hour. They have a good happy hour from 4-6 as well, so itll still be an inexpensive day.And theyre dog friendly! Bring your pup whether youre sitting inside or outside.
Good coffee and good food selection.
Been going here for years! Absolutely love this place for coffee and beer! Excellent vibe and the friendliest staff!
I was in Austin a couple weeks back and found this place based on a recommendation. The food was fantastic, the beer filled with alcohol and the staff was efficient and considerate. I shouldve written a review on the spot, but I guess I got distracted. I came back to do so and now I see this fool Joe down there.Im not sure what Joe thinks he deserved for his trouble. The trouble of going to a place? FOH, Joe. They were closed. It happens.Given that were enduring a literal plague, things come up. Imagine being such a privileged infant that you write a review like that, which genuinely does hurt places like this when theyre trying to survive. This spot was everything I heard it was and then some. Sorry to the staff that you have to deal with people like Joe while youre trying to do your jobs. Keep on doing what youre doing, yall. Its working.
Beer was great, service was great - people that work there are very nice. We went back several times during our stay in Austin. One guy recommended some great dark brews...Try the Loaded French Toast! Yum!
Friendly staff! The lattes and bagels were delicious.
Delicious cold brew and friendly staff. What more do you need!
Unexpectedly closed. The girl working here said they had been here a long time. I had never seen this place before. No free samples for my trouble either. I guess she thought those croissants would microwave up just fine in an hour after their meeting was over. I would just soon not go to a place that has microwaved anything anyway.
Coffee.. beer?? Why not both? This is the best spot on the East Side for both. Staff is super knowledgeable on both. Definitely worth it here!!
If you’ve lived here longer than 10-years; you know Wright Bros. has weathered the polarizing changes to the San Marcos & 5th st by one simple formula...non-pretentious staff and consistent yet diverse menu offerings. If you’re new in-town, consider making this place your next place to grab a beer or a cup of inspirational caffeine from them.
Nice spot for a coffee. Cold brew seemed a bit weak, but that appears to be an Austin-wide trend. Staff was nice, but not the bubbly inviting crew I’ve come to expect with my morning java. Breakfast tacos were great and just the right size. It’s a shame all the construction across the street will change the view to another condo building.
The worst place to try and get any work done in Austin.
Perfect spot to hang out, pull out your computer and have a drink. They serve either coffee or a great selection of beers, some on tap. People working there are amazing, super genuine and friendly. They have small concerts sometimes where you’ll get a chance to see local artists and bands play music for a small fee. Overall, great place! (Side note: I haven’t tried their food yet)
Such a nice place! Great chai and coffee. Service was awesome & the barista at the front (morning of 11/12) was very kind. I would for sure recommend this place! :)
Excellent coffee bar
My favorite coffee shop in Austin. Wonderful service
Very cool and relaxing place to hang out. Perfectly located! Customer service at the counter was mediocre on one day, but better (from a different cashier), the next day. Loved seeing an employee bring over a coffee and water to an elderly homeless one day. He even engaged in a little conversation with him. For this reason alone, I will continue to go! 😊 👍
Amzing coffee and they do a great job of finding beers you cant get anywhere else in the city.
Nice place, but no indoor seating in the COVID times :’(
I just went to go pick up my morning coffee with a dog im dog sitting and the pup started spazzing out (didn’t like the register area for some reason), but to the point where I couldn’t order and pay. They were super nice and patient and ended bringing me out a free coffee. Incredible customer service!!
This coffee is FIRE. I love coming here and receiving excellent customer service from the staff. Its a really good-vibe place, highly recommend.
Rosen‘s bagels are among the best we have ever had in our lives. We have traveled the world, lived in New York, and sample bagels just about everywhere we’ve been. These are top-flight bagels and the way that we were able to cook them at home was an incredible bonus during the holidays. These bagels are normally purchasedCooked and ready to eat. However, we purchased them prepared and frozen and baked them at home. We had 12 people and every single person said they were absolutely fantastic. We purchased three different kinds and every single one was scrumptious. We can’t recommend him highly enough. These are large, delicious bagels and well worth the price.
Just came here for a quick beer. Was super chill and had a great selection of beer
This place is a good spot to meet up with friends and get some work done. There’s a good amount of parking around, and a few good lunch places nearby. The drinks are good, and they do have some food, even though I haven’t tried it before.Come for a coffee, then stay for a beer.
A local favorite of mine for a morning coffee or a pint in the afternoon, but don’t sleep on their wine selection! The staff is incredibly great and knowledgeable and always helps me choose the perfect thing.
Amazing spot on the East side of downtown. As the name eludes to, they are focused on high quality brewed coffee and awesome craft beers. This also the spot to get Rosens bagels, some of the best New York style bagels youll find in Austin. Parking can be tricky since there is no lot, but come early or after office hours and you can usually find a spot. Well worth checking out for people new in town or natives that have sworn of this area
I love this place! They are so friendly and accommodating!
Our coffee was not hot and the server brewed a fresh pot and replaced it for us. Great service and the coffee wasnt bad either. Pet friendly and the ambience is relaxed
The unique ambience leaves you spellbound and you love to visit the place again and again. So, I threw my birthday party at this place. And gladly saying, it turned out to be one of the best birthday parties ever. The place is so cool and amazing.
I am a fan of Brew and Brew, through and through. This place confirms my love for coffee houses that also serve beer on tap (and this one has many local options to choose from). I dont drink coffee (or hot drinks in general) but I love the vibe of coffee houses with everyone working and the soothing background noise. My friends and I came here at 5 PM on a Sunday and most people were working away on their laptops but we all grabbed a beer or a glass of wine. I cant tell you what kind we got but it was local, cold, and hit the spot after an afternoon of hiking. The clientele were mostly 20s and 30s. We only stayed for an hour but the energy of the place just made us happy allowed us to avoid the ever-impending Sunday Scaries. If I lived in Austin, I would be a regular here to either work or grab an affordable drink with friends.
Rosen’s bagels (hidden inside Wright bro’s) is amazing.
Tasty drip coffee served in a bottomless mug at the counter. Cool vibe and friendly staff. $3.50 is pricey for a cup of Joe though so make sure you want more than just one cup ... take advantage of those free refills!
Great staff!! Chill.
According to my visiting friend from England, the hot tea here is served correctly, with a cup, saucer, teabag, and a separate little teapot of hot water so that the customer can brew it themselves. I have never seen it served this way anywhere else. Therefore, I presume that Wright Bros. is the only place in town that serves tea in the proper, British fashion. Our sandwiches were also very good, although I had a hard time keeping mine from spilling out the back end as I ate it.
One of if not thee best taphouse in Austin. Incredible draft lineup plus a bottle/can selection that is better than any I saw while down there. Behind the bar was a great crew that were timely in answers with good advice to keep the line moving. Definitely worth checking out.
Absolutely first rate selection of continually rotating beers, including rarities. Fair prices. Word is the coffee is great too. Relaxed atmosphere, good people. Parking is readily available most days along the street as well. Highly recommended for craft beer devotees and coffee swillers alike.
Very low key place where you can grab an espresso and a beer. Good selection of beers and friendly staff!
Great little coffee shop. I usually start out with a latte or an espresso and then Im on to one of their great selections of craft brews. I like the Blood and Honey, which they have had every time Ive been. One morning, I guess I was a little to early to get a beer, but I could if I order some food. I had one of their bacon, egg, and cheese on an English muffin. It was good, not great.I enjoy sitting outside, but I do like the decor and feel of the inside also.
This place was VERY cool in a town that tries too hard to be cool. They have an expansive beer list broken down by style and majority are local. Also they seemed to be churning out plenty of coffee and espresso drinks and have all the gear any craft coffee bar would have. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the area.
It is nice in there. They are open late. Tea selection is weak but about what youd expect. It is more of a place to hang out and have a conversation with a friend. Tables felt sticky. Staff was polite.
Service was pretty poor. Would have expected a more friendly atmosphere. There a quite a few other good local coffee spots nearby too. Maybe it was just my server though?
Edit, June 2018: location expanding along with the food options. Love to get coffee here when Im working late shift. Great beer selection when Im not working too.Original: Coffees hot, croissants are decent. Get you some.
Very clean and modern look. My test for good coffee places is a cappuccino, and they did it amazing (actually hard to find). I enjoyed the patio seating to sip my coffee and chat with my date.
Love the coffee and vibe of this place. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Good beer and caffeine... That solves many of my problems most days. The staff is hit or miss - Ive had great experiences and then the other half are just stoic and act like they are too cool to smile or ask you about your day.
Wifi signal is amazing
Chill vibe, excellent staff, and great beer/coffee options. The space has all of the usual aesthetics, with concrete floors, a long row of bright shiny taps, and a lovely wooden bar with trendy stools. I had a great recommendation on a coffee and beer pairing. The music wasnt too loud; I was fairly productive. It checked off all of the necessary requirements in my book for a good all-round coffee shop to go to regularly.
Nice ambience. Went for the beer selection, plenty to choose from. Great place to hang with friends and plenty of shaded outside seating if needed.
Great place to go for some good and different coffee. It is very dog friendly and they have plenty of coffee and beer options. Also the pizza bagels were delicious!
Great coffee, beer, and bagel sandwiches!
The coffee and beer was awesome! Friendly staff. Great place to hang.
Funky coffee shop/bar with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Coffee was great and the selection of beer is eclectic but covers all the bases. Great place to chill with friends on a hot day.
Fantastic coffee, neat space, great service. Food was of quality but not anything special.5 stars for the coffee!
Great cafe for working and enjoying coffee and bagels. They have THE best rosemary and sea salt bagel. I would definitely recommend it if youd like to try something new. There are concerts held on weekends and in the evenings, and beer is also available. This Brew AND Brew.
Wright Bros was one of my favorite places to work remotely. Start with coffee, then switch to beer! They have a great list of draft beer and great space with some outdoor seating as well.
I get my coffee at Progress all the time and I really like the employees that work there. They are really chill and one of them even let me know that it was happy hour every day from 3-5pm! So now I try to go there everyday from 3-5 and I usually order the Iced Thunder because its only half as sweet as the Lightning- perfect! Over all, its a great spot to get coffee and even sit down to get some work done.
