Scammers - went in spoke with agent as I wanted to upgrade my speakers. Discussed what speakers I would like, price, etc. made appointment for 2 weeks later. 2 weeks later I go to drop off vehicle for install, confirmed details with new agent as the agent I set up appointment with was busy - new agent tells me he doesnt have the speakers I ordered so I will need to pay for more expensive ones. Then proceeds to tell me I need all this other stuff and the bill will now be $1830 instead of the $900 the other agent quoted me and I was expecting to pay. I do not recommend wasting your time with these clowns like I did, total scam and amateur hour.

I live on the East Coast and ordering a part was simple and easy. Package came in a few days. Even though there were manufacturing defects to the connector, Mike and his crew really helped make sure I was able to get a replacement and get everything working.

Other locations are much better. More willing to work with you and much more friendly. This store just wants your money and you in and out as fast as possible. They couldnt care less about the quality of their work or how their treat their customers. Great company, bad location

Just got a Kenwood CarPlay unit installed in my 2017 Subaru Forster and I’m incredibly impressed! The staff (i worked with Aaron) at custom sounds was super helpful in selecting one and the install is AMAZING. They preserved the backup camera, steering wheel controls, added a dual usb in the cig lighter port that works with the head unit, and added a new high quality mic that makes my phone calls and talking to Siri way more clear than it was with the built in car mic. I went in just before closing on Monday to get an estimate, dropped off my car Tuesday at 10am, and had everything done in 5 hours. Great job guys, I highly recommend!

Update, well after I wrote this review I was called by the district manager and the president of the company. They made it right and honored what was told first told to me. They offered a refund and an apology. Also all of them were completely respectful towards me and thanked me for my military service.1 Star is still staying-- instead of refunding the young man charged my card again!! He had no idea he did this until I pointed it out and his coworker fixed the mistake and refunded me the charge and the refund processed. This was Friday so almost 600 of my money was on hold for a week...... please under stand this is not a great experience.A week later my alarm stopped working, I took it back and they told me I would have to schedule an appointment during the week being they were busy! Why dont we fix and install equipment properly so I dont have to come back. I had to call the president, who was awesome and sent me up north to get it fixed. Not how I wanted to spend 3 hours of my day on a Saturday plus wasting gas!I wanted a radio and sound system but after all this Im probably going to go somewhere else! Maybe drive up to the Burnet location and have them do it. Im still on the fence. As I was at the congress location a man approached me and told me he was back to have something fixed that was originally supposed to be installed! Come on guys!Still not happy but its fixed!I have to say going from excited to upset in a matter of dropping off my truck to picking up! I was quoted for an alarm system that would remote start and have an app and I was quoted $703 with a 10% military discount. When I picked up I was told military was only 5% and the guy was upset giving the extra percent.... sorry for My service I guess.... then I was told the app was not included that I would have to pay 199 and extra for labor?!?.... hmmm maybe you all should explain things better!! Im not the expert.. you are!! WTH! Also nobody showed me how to use and or walk me through the features. I guess thats optional as well. Not happy and I am part of a truck crew that I will tell all of them not use you all!!

Austen was amazing! I just bought my new 2020 Trax and wanted to get tint and some speakers installed. Everything was able to get done within the time frame they gave me and you cannot beat the prices for the quality you get! I’ve had now 3 of my cars tinted here and will never go anywhere else! They listened to my concerns about not being able to see well at night and did my back window a little lighter! Awesome experience ! Would give 10 stars if possible!

I went for a quote on my challanger to put a whole system we desl an appointment for saturday i show up and blake told me sorry I forget about you and now we full capacity I was ok lets do it next Saturday I showed up and same thing and he offer me a discount but i tols him if the discount will be the dame like your appointments never mind plus i saw he quote a charger and a extra 2 doors speakers cause I was let me see that quote again after i saw thst they not to serious with customers a rrally bad experience and ran to them cause suppose to be and expert SMH i guess im going best buy reviews are way better so dont boder with them and take your bussines somewhere else

Dont judge by looking a person. I when there and the guy was just barely talking to me whit a discriminatory attitude. Then told him that I was going to buy a full system cash for my truck he change is way to talk to me . Easy to sue this store. Next time will recorded. Installer great guy knowledgeable and friendly

The staff were very friendly and helpful... The gentleman who help us was kind and informative about the products they had in the store.. The installation took a while but he was upfront that it was going to take awhile because they wanted to do it properly.. We were overall happy with everything, only one small thing a little plug that sticks out but he told us about it.. We will see later if they can do something about it, we have a 5 year old and do not want him to yank it out.. Will definitely go back if we are in the market for another stereo..

Nice guys but the they screwed up my subwoofer installation on my Audi S5. The MMI, which is at the core of the multimedia system in the car isnt working after installation. They tried to fix it and I waited four hours, but its still not working so they offered to remove everything they did and provided a refund. This cost me over 8 hours of extra time, having to come back and forth to this place so they can fix it but still not fixed. See photos for all the error codes my car throws now. Dont take your Audi here or any car that has a more advanced sound system like mine, which includes fiber optic wiring.

I would give 10 stars if I could and would recommend them to anyone in the market. Their manager, Aaron, sets the bar high for genuine customer service by making sure I was well taken care with the install of my remote start and tint. His team, including Tim and the technicians, went on a bit of a roller coaster ride with me (to the say the least) and I couldnt possibly appreciate their kindness, patience, and willingness to help anymore than I do. Gio is the man. Brought my 2019 Toyota Corolla in and he hooked me up. He was very helpful annd knowledgeable in all the tints. Took about 1 hr and half. This place is vig and nice. 1st time customer and def would come back.They have a nice waiting room. Couches were comfy. I fell asleep ha and the only bad thing is that the cable sucked in there. Custom sounds i know you make plenty of money to get your customers some good cable. Every other channel was not paid for. Which isnt a deal breaker but if i pay you good money for my car to be worked on I know you can afford to provide your customers with a little bit better options. Thats the only reason you didnt get 5 stars. Other than that. Loved this place. Come here if your thinking about tinting your windows.Ps. Gio deserves a raise!Thank you Gio and Custom sounds!!!

Web sit is no good 😕.Cant just type in what your looking for. Over 1000 items show up starting with fuses. And then everything in store.Customer service is slow you will wait for over 20 minutes in line .only one person to help register and questions and run to see if warehouse has an item.so plan on waiting

Not sure whats up. Their website says they are open, but I cannot for the life of of me get someone to pick up a phone call. Tried two different locations that their website says are open for business. Have literally been trying to get someone on the phone for an hour.

My 1970 Cadillac coupe de ville is Banging!!!

Purchased a stereo and dashcam camera a couple of days ago and had it installed the same day.in total it was 250.00 plus tax for the das cam that I installed I didnt want to pay 165.00 labor.I read on another post that you charge 65 an hour. And then almost another 1000.00 for the stereo and install. The backup camera, a feature on the purchased stereo, was not installed. I called when I got home to discuss this with them, they set up another appt for today. I was quoted a price over the phone of $45, in addition to the installation charge I had already paid. I arrived there today to be told that its going to cost me $120 and that the gentlemen didnt set up the appointment, I was not on the schedule. He also was not working today and the manager was not in either. Completely disappointed in this purchase and installation. Please consider carefully before spending $$ at this establishment.

This place is bs i took my car for window tinting and added a car stereo and now my locks on my door unlock and lock by them selves when im driving then they tell me i need to have my car looked at by someone else and that if its there fault they will reimburse me which is bs also they didnt install the radio properly. I had to go back a 2nd day and they had to switch out the whole radio with a new one and they said they tested it but they didnt so i will not be returning horrible service and another thing i went to them because i wanted in to be professionally done

Have gone to a lot of audio shops over the years but glad to say ive finally found the only one i will be going to anymore. Aaron was so helpful in helping me decide the best setup for my needs and budget without being pushy and trying to get me outside of my budget. We scheduled the first appointment of the day, 10AM. The guy behind the counter was flustered, making excuses for the wait time, etc. Then assumed we were leaving the car for the day. It has already been established we wanted it done in 2 hours as promised over the phone. We were there at straight up 10AM. Why bother to schedule an appointment if youre not going to honor it. We will be going elsewhere to get UV coating on our windshields.

Seemed to be the only one there who was not incompetent or just plain lazy. Very unprofessional and not very happy with the install job completed today. So unhappy that I will be fixing things myself this weekend. Wish I would have just saved all of my money and done it myself in the first place.

I had my windows tinted here. The man who helped me was very friendly, and didnt try to push the most expensive package. When I was running late to pick up my car, they waited a bit after closing for me to get there. Im very pleased with the tinting I got, and have had no issues (its been about a month). They guarantee the tint, and will replace the it if there are bubbles or tears. My car is much cooler now, which is great because Texas summer is brutal, and part of my job is delivering wedding cakes.My one complaint would be that they could use an extra person sometimes, as i had to wait awhile just to hand over my key when dropping off my car because there was only one guy working and he was busy with someone. It was a mild annoyance, but otherwise the service was great & definitely not worth deducting a star!Thanks for a job well done!

Quoted price for tinting was overpriced. I had work done at another Custom Sounds on Burnet a few years ago and I dont remember it being so expensive. They did a good job back then, though.

Manager working behind the desk gave me that V.IP. service. I thought the price was a bit on the high side but what do I know.....I have not purchased a car system in years. After I heard the sound and saw the work that they did I felt I got my moneys worth for sure. JL Audio sound quality is great and cables are no where in sight. Love the placement of the bass knob.

I picked up my car today and the stereo sounds worse than the factory stuff did after having paid for an amp and woofer. There are bubbles all in the tint. I have tried to call several times and they won’t pick u the phone. Geez. I am a widow and was just trying to fix up my car because another vehicle isn’t in my future!!!! I would give them 0 stars if I could!!Finally talked to Aaron, the manager who sold me all of this, says now that it takes a week and a half for the bubbles to come out of the tint. When I was there I was told three days. They will make this right and when they do I will amend this review. Until a week and a half from now this review stands!!! I was ripped off!!!!!I took my car back in and the stereo does sound better.Back to no stars!!!!!!!! I hit a bump and the stereo goes off. I called today and spoke to Larry and he said he would all me back for a time to bring it in either today or tomorrow. But, of course, he never called back!!! This is a lousy excuse for a business as I have ever seen!!!!!!! Time to complain to BBB since they can’t seem to do the job they were aid handsomely for!!!!!!!!!!!!

Their prices were so high it seems they need to make a weeks overhead from each customer. The name brand items they had on display were 30-40% cheaper online. I didnt even ask the price of installation.

Austin Is a great guy gave me a really good deal on JL Amp, JL Subwoofer, and a Custom box to put the Sub and which was well build. Will come back for future services. Very nice and patience through the process. Best Subs on the Market JL Audio W6v3 and W7s too

I was told the technician didn’t want to do the work bc of the make and the model of my car and other excuses. Then they say they could, but I needed brackets that cost 50/bracket and was quoted almost 300.00 in labor alone; over 600.00 in total for two speakers and a head unit.I went to their competitor to have it done for far less without the brackets and runaround.
