Love the coffee shop and the almost optician-meets-yoga studio feel to the interior. Personally I think the Abbott Kinney location in Venice Beach has a more interesting setup by virtue of the semi-outdoor space there, but this really is an interesting store and I am a longtime TOMS wearer. Definitely check this place out.
In the heart of South Congress Ave. basically close to everything, TOMS has a large rear patio, a smaller front one and indoor seating too. A rich coffee menu, never disappoints. You can find Tacodeli breakfast tacos seasonally. Really charming with very friendly staff. And then, yes, they sell beautiful shoes and sunglasses.
I have small feet. I wear size 5.I went in with the intent to purchase some sandals. I saw their BOGO so I was even more enthused!Right when I walked in, there was a lovely young lady who assisted me in finding the sandals. She proceeded to tell me that they didnt have my size available in store, but she offered a variety of replacements and helped me with options such as ordering for in-store delivery free of charge.Unfortunately, my feet are also wide so when I tried on the sandals they were a bit snug. I would have loved to try on a five but they only offered it online. She admitted that the five would be more narrow since it is a smaller size shoe and I was so grateful that this young lady was so open and honest with me so I dont make the wrong purchase. We parted ways when I continued to explore. As I walked around all the other sales girls were smiley and a second representative assisted me with other questions that I had.It was just a very warm and welcoming atmosphere which certainly makes me want to return but they never have size fives in store so that is why I am not giving this store five stars. Everything else including display was flawless. Keep up the great work ladies!
Here on a very busy street in Austin TX, you will find this gem of a store. Walking in from the street you are greeted with a herb garden, and seating to relax outside. The smell of coffee fill the store and its amazing! The service at their little store was great, and the coffee delicious. They have sunglasses, bags and of course their shoes on the opposite side. What they do with fair trade items is amazing. Youll find coffee from all over the world and then shoes that support developing areas like no other shoe company.Perfect store with perfect values and amazing service!O and there is an amazing sitting area out back with a fun mural. Its a must check out for sure!
Cute little shop that seems to be very popular. Nice coffee shop inside.
Great store, good use of an old house. Love the shoes, they cost what shoes should cost and do good in the world at the same time.
Very nifty little shop with a great selection of footwear, and affordable! Got my first pair here and loving them so far.
The coffee shop and sitting area in the back are a great place to kick back and get some work done after shopping on south congress for the day. The coffee is always great. Definitely check out the seasonal specialties because some of them are out of this world.
What a surprise, excellent coffee.
This was the best shoe experience I have ever had in my life.
Is this the cutest coffee shop with the nicest employees? YESSSSS!! Cant believe were just now unearthing this gem. Def more than shoes! The gals working at TOMS are the best part; theyre accommodating, friendly, hospitable and.....dog lovers! 4 legged friends are welcome indoors and out. This oasis is everything you need and more. Good people watching out front, free wifi and chill spot in the back to do work. LOVE Toms. Thank you employees for making Floyd and I feel so welcome :)
Did you know this place has a cafe? Its true! And its underrated! The drinks are delicious, and always reasonably priced. The baristas are always kind. Defiantly recommend you stop in if you are on SOCO. I recommend the iced oat milk mocha, or the honey tea lemonade with blueberry tea.
The service was great, and the vanilla lavender cold brew is amazing 👌👏👍
Great altruistic company that donates to causes for everything you purchase, from shoes to coffee.Speaking of coffee, the coffee shop in here is one of my favs in town, which is saying alot as there are more coffee shops in austin than scooters clogging sidewalks. The vanilla coriander latte with oat milk is the nectar of the gods.
Good coffee, yes there is a coffee shop inside. Outdoor patio and area is a nice place to hang out and people watch.
Super cool place! the last place you would expect to find one of the best coffee shops in the city is inside a shoe store but thats austin for you. great staff, everyone is super friendly! there wasnt any seating available to enjoy my coffee at, and its very cramped in general, but theyve definitely done the best they could converting this old house into one of the busiest places on congress. Jos coffee may be a classic for austin, but Ill always prefer Toms!
I loved this store! Never heard of Toms shoes before my visit to Austin. Fell in love with many styles and the concept of retail and coffee. This store has a great vibe, located in a remodeled home with one side showcasing Tom shoes and the other a coffee shop with comfortable Cozy seating. There is plenty of outdoor patio seating as well - If I recall correctly not covered.
Nice shoes. Friendly service. Cool little shop in a really really old house with some outdoor seating if you want a place to relax
I really enjoyed my cup of coffee and able to sit outside relaxing on the lawn furniture. TOMS is located in a small little house and inside there a nice display of TOMS shoes and sun glasses. This is a pretty little cool local hangout. I was very surprised how good the coffee, which was my reason for going inside. Just needed a little pick me up. I would recommend anyone looking for something different, check out this place. Be careful not to over spend your money while you are there.
Went in just to look around, and ended up buying a pair of shoes. The staff was incredibly friendly... almost too friendly if there is such a thing. I would give it 5.3 stars if I could. Also the coffee was better than about 54% of the other places I have gotten coffee from.
First time to the actual store and I enjoyed it. It had a nice area outside for people to sit and the inside was nice as well. I ended up leaving with 2 pairs of cute toms which I’m so happy about. Will definitely be back
Great outdoor area with lots of room to hangout. Big shared study table inside. Besides the cafe area (coffee; tea; pastries), theres also a sale room for TOMS shoes and glasses. I love shopping where I know the causes they support. They have cool wall art showing the different places that theyve served with shoes and water.
Super cute and quaint location! I absolutely LOVE the coffee shop here! The porch swings our front are also a great place to sit, relax, sip coffee, and people watch! They have a nice outdoor seating are out back as well as a nice, quite area in the back of the store for studying/relaxing/etc. The outside areas have games like Jinga and Connect 4.
Toms is not only a shoe store that gives back but they also have a nice coffee shop. Toms is very nice to the art community, they have a market for local artist. Hard to fine good companies to give to the art community.
Cool shop to get some Toms and drink some coffee. Nice place to kick back for a few.
I love TOMS in Austin! Great atmosphere, the staff was very nice and friendly. You can drink some good coffee in their coffe shop while shopping, very cute place. I love what the brand does so I left with two pairs of shoes and one pair of sunglasses! ❤️
The young lady working helped us pick out shoes and was very patient with us and my 2 year old daughter. She was very kind. We love our shoes as well!
Sale associates were very friendly and helpful. I was able to find what I was looking for. Coffee was great and lounge area was comfortable and clean.
Stopped in before closing and Diego was awesome. I tried on about 6 pairs of shoes and he kindly obliged. Super courteous and honest. I bought 2 pairs of shoes based on my style and his much appreciated recommendation and tips.
Wonderful hip place to shop! Great sales most times I’ve visited and nice set up! It’s beautiful and different ! My husband and daughter all got matching Toms while visiting and it was really cute! The staff was great at helping us pic and get right sizes for us all! I would most definitely recomer checking them out and buying from their selection!
Cozy coffee shop inside. They have interesting variations on the traditional latte. Theres a decent amount of seating in the back and two large bathrooms. The store itself was kind of small. It didnt seem like they carried that much merchandise.
Toms is a shoe store with a sketchy level of helpfulness (giving free shoes actually hurts local African economies...), But the coffee shop is pleasant enough and serves high quality beverages with pleasant seating. And, you know, I do enjoy their shoes.Just, its a corporate plant, not really some local place.
Pretty cool little coffee shop. Definitely worth revisiting. I wish they had white chocolate mocha, though.
A shoe store and a coffee shop in one?! Very creative and fun. But the reason this review is 5 stars is because the atmosphere is lovely. A quiet place to read a book, the seats look out on a back courtyard and some chairs are around a fireplace (it wasnt on the day I went which was great because it was really hot out). I absolutely loved coming to this absolutely charming coffee shop, and if Im ever in Austin again, Ill go back.
Absolutely amazing coffee. The nice young man, Zach, made me the best Mocha that I’ve ever had. He was so knowledgeable and friendly. Can’t wait to go back after 1627.
The coffee shop and sitting area in the back are a great place to kick back and get some work done after shopping on south congress for the day. The coffee is always great. Definitely check out the seasonal specialties because some of them are out of this world
Cool shoe shop. Really, I did not shop for shoes, I enjoyed the coffee bar. This must be one of the better kept secrets of South Congress. There is plenty of seating indoors and out to sit and enjoy conversation.
This place was my go-to spot to unwind and enjoy a delicious iced coffee. I loved the cozy setting and quiet atmosphere. The baristas are both outgoing and courteous, and did a fantastic job of keeping the area clean. Check out their maple-orange coffee! Thats what always had me coming back for more.
Great atmosphere, good cause, so so coffee imo. Coffee is a matter of personal taste so I cant say its no good, I just didnt like it. Still many other people go there with no complaint. They have lots of other drinks that are good and its Toms. You know theyre a big help to communities around the world.
Great place for coffee! Good tasting and consistently crafted cafe beverages along with a cozy environment. Lines can be a little long at peak times but it moves. They have a shop as well selling their shoes and accessories.
I just spoke on the phone with Jackie about exchanging shoes that were bought on-line for my mother that are too small. She was cheerful, helpful, and made sure I understood how they could make an exchange or not. I am eagerly looking forward to shopping there with my 92 year-old mother this evening. By the way, having a brand name shoe store/cafe that is close to my home and not in a mall, is another plus.
I have worked here for 2 years and work on the coffee side. I worked in a cafe before this and go to a lot of shops around Austin and I think when judging based on atmosphere, quality and location it is tough to beat!
The staff was not only helpful, but really care about the company’s vision and philanthropy. I bought my first pair of Toms and I feel even better about wearing them after my visit. Thank you!
Cute coffee shop with great outdoor seating for people watching and enjoying the hustle and bustle of the city. Shop for a cause inside. Limited menu options with breakfast tacos and some pastries available.
This is a real SOCO gem. Even though its corporate, its fantastic. They took an old house and made it a Toms Shoe shop/ coffee house. There are a lot of great space to sit and enjoy your coffee or co-work. The backyard is spacious and shady. You have to come and see it for yourself to see how cute this spot is. Try parking on the side street.
Good service and ok selection. Coffee shop is a nice touch. Watch out for the girl scouts selling cookies. They get me every time. We will stop by again
This is a cute coffee shop and shoe store. Their drip coffee is really good. They have fun outdoor seating area with swing seats on the porch, lounge chair by the fire to picnic tables in the back. They also have a small indoor seating area in the back.
If you like the look and concept of Toms but arent into buying something like shoes online, you should check out their South Congress store like I did. They dont have as wide a variety as youll find online, but you can get an in-person look at a sampling of every style and try them on. The staff is incredibly helping with picking out and trying shoes and I never felt like I was pressured into buy anything I wasnt interested in. They also have cool specials like free drip coffee if youre wearing Toms!
We played the tallest game of Jenga here. The shoes were nice too.
Coffee and shoes - what more could one want?!
TOMS! I am a little partial due to the mission involved within the company to give back to the less fortunate. The coffee I had was delicious and the staff friendly and helpful. You can shop there as well as work or lounge with friends. If the weather is nice I recommend spending time on their expansive patio. A serene setting off of the South Congress strip. Parking can get tough but that is expected along the strip but it is worth it to kick your feet up after a day walking up and down SoCo.
Very con ambiance in this store. The café area is also nice, with good options to eat while you shop. On the back area there are also tables to use your computer and hang around if you need to work.
Love TOMS and they also have a cafe with delicious coffee.
Very friendly service. Bought a pair of shoes and got an iced coffee and both were great.
Im giving this coffee 5 stars, it was a seasonal one called Mexican Mocha. I could tell that real care went into making my cup. The place itself was nice and very well decorated. I dont wear TOMS so I didnt browse much but the coffee bar gets my praise just great people working there, nice and friendly. Just take your cup to the back or the front and take a seat on the chairs they have and maybe soak up some sun. Cant wait to visit again!
Coffee store as well. Unusual combinations of coffee. I had the lavender iced coffee, a bit too different for me. Nice porch to sit on while shopping downtown.
Went in today to get my first pair of Tom’s. It has been one of those days where nothing is going smoothly. Anyway, at Tom’s my card only did a partial payment, then I couldn’t make a funds transfer on my phone, had to walk to the ATM, came back and completed the purchase. As I was sitting outside putting on my new pair of shoes the manager came outside and gave me a complimentary coffee and a scone. It really made my day! Thank you!!
Shoes were eh in my opinion but the coffee was very good. There is many unique coffee flavors and they just taste great.
Awesome service. Nice atmosphere and Mill King milk AND cream. Great spot
Love this place! People are just so friendly, positive and extremely helpful! Won a prize in their drawing and the atmosphere is so chill and calming! Also love bring my dog with me, pet friendly for sure!
The building is an old house retrofitted into a store with a neat little coffeeshop. There is some nice seating outside to just sit and people watch. This place is mostly atmosphere but the actual product is neither here nor there.
I love this cozy coffee place. It sells TOMS stuff but the coffee is even better! If you wear its item you can get a free drip coffee as well!
Never been to an actual Toms store. And this place was amazing. Customer service was on point. And the coffee shop inside smelled amazing.
I had the Honey Tea Lemonade and it was delicious!
Nice and clean! The girls that where helping us were very helpful and nice. And the restrooms are clean.
Great coffee, great space and you can also buy shoes with a cause here as well! What not to like about TOMs. Cool vibe, a cup of coffee or one of their unique drinks, cool outdoor space and front porch area. Its like a little haven from the hustle and bustle of SoCo.
Been looking for a certain pair of Toms for my wife for 5 years and they had them. My wife was very happy.
Attended an Imagine Art show...hosted by Toms...very friendly atmosphere...great place for coffee, visiting friends and of course, shoes!
I love TOMS Austin a whole lot. Everyone was very friendly. Can’t wait to come back again soon!
A really cool little store in an old house. A lot of places to sit and chill while my wife and sister in law looked at shoes.
Unique and Interesting place. Overall, Ill enjoyed the environment.
This is a review specifically for the food and drink. The atmosphere really shines through the most here, but it definitely is a taste thats acquired that not everybodys going to be into. The variety of drinks is very small and simple, but that can be interpreted as them creating a no frills, streamlined experience; that, I can appreciate. Variety in foods though is shockingly small and in terms of taste for anything, you definitely will not be blown away-- Everything is just okay here.
Most staff are friendly, great coffee and a nice place to work, read or hang out on South Congress. They also seem to have a selection of good shoes however, I didnt get the chance to explore yet.
Great place to buy cute shoes and help out some children in poor countries at the same time! Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, can even buy pastries & coffee!
Great spot with organic milk options, and they even had local artists for 1st Thursday!
TOMS feels more like a home than a store. You can get coffee, hang out in the backyard, study, or shop. Its home away from home. I love it!
Would have been 5 stars but they had some shoes on display that were only available online. Boo. Not the stores fault Im sure.
Had a coffee date there, way cool...and they support charities; excellent!
Great place! Grab some coffee, grab some shoes. Enjoyed stopping in.
We had a very helpful sales person that was able to juggle us and other customers as it was a busy night.
Love stopping by Toms as I shop SoCo! They have great coffee, and shoes that not only look stylish, but also give back!
Visited the TOMS store on its opening day during SXSW 2014 and have visited many times since then. Its a regular pit stop when we bring friends to South Congress. Its eclectic and charming. The front is patio is great for hosting events and people watching. After entering, on your right is a coffee shop featuring their signature roasts. On your left is the showcase of glasses as well as the display of their classic and seasonal shoes. Ive bought at least 4 new pairs ever since they opened up and my bf finally caved in to buy polarized sunglasses! Much better than having to search for a distributor who may not have all of the styles. Then theres ample space in the back for doing work or taking a break from window-shopping. 4 stars since it can be hard to find parking, but that goes for most businesses on South Congress.
So eccentric and adorable. Coffee ? So good! Besides the great, comfortable shoes, you can actually kick up your feet, drink your cup of joe, and go on your Soco journey.
Hands-down the coolest coffee shop Ive ever been in. Youll walk in and immediately feel at home. Grab some coffee, a good book, and lose the rest of your day here.
