Wow! They have everything you need for breakfast. I ordered 2 tacos, 3 Kolaches, and 6 donuts. Total $20 bucks. And the ladies in front are very nice and organized. Don’t forget to tip. 💵🍩 🥐☕️

What fantastic tacos and doughnuts. The green sauve on tacos is a favorite of mine. Plan ahead, the place is popular on Saturday morning and parking is, well the food is great.

Dont recommend ordering online order was supposed to be ready at 10:03 didnt leave the parking lot until 10:38. Instead of working on our orders that they already took our hard earned money from us then they worked on every order that came in as if they were priority over us. Food was cold and the donut was smooshed in a bag with another one. Got chocolate icing all over my lemon donut. Couldnt even get someones attention to ask when the order would be ready. Cant recommend this place to you unless I hate you. Asked for 8 creamer and 8 sugar for our coffee too and they gave us sweet and low. If I wasnt already late for work because of this. I would have asked for a refund and just returned everything .

I legit just had one of the best breakfast tacos I have ever had in my life here!!! SHEESH!!! Both the green and red salsa were on point and thats usually hard to find at places its usually one or the other. The jalapeño sausage kolache was bomb too along with the donuts 10/10 I would recommend 😋 👌🏿👍🏿.

So good! We were visiting from out of town, and saw this place online. Just had to try it out.The name itself sold us.We walked in and were surprised! The place had a cool feel to it, and was rather popular by how many people were stopping in.They were moving along pretty quickly and getting people their orders at a fast pace.The food tasted amazing. We had the tacos - and would have them again!Will definitely go back the next time in Austin.

The name got me, then the kolaches got me.... then the boudin kolaches got me good.

You always want to go to places that have a number in the name. Donut Taco Palace 1 is no exception. The lines are often long, but fast moving, and well worth it. My bacon egg and cheese croissant was delicious(it didnt even make it home, and I was walking.......) When I did make it though, I was greeted by the sweet softness of the cinnamon sugar donut holes. Then promptly lulled into a mid morning nap by the spicy Sausage jalapeno and cheese kolache..... When I wake up, ill have my blue berry cake donut waiting for me ill hit you back with the info on that later.

Love the food, but its stage 5 with covid in Austin, and they were not wearing a mask. We had to walk away. Not being safe for their customers, and immune compromised individuals. (Response to comment below) - it was not the customers who I was worried about since they were not handling and making the food it was the staff Im concerned about. Since more than half were not wearing a mask, and could easily cough or sneeze on the food. Take care.

Ran out of blueberry cake donuts by 10, chocolate cake donut was good alternative. Asked for Bavarian cream long John and got no cream. Small kolaches had hot dogs but preferred kilobasa sausage

Im guessing its good. Ive never been. Ive been pulled over by APD for dot inspections more than once on the over pass in front of it. Theyre a local joint. Spend your money there instead of drunkin donuts or krappy kream

I worked a few minutes away before COVID and I have been coming here for many years. Although it is out of my way now, I get the craving for their tacos. Unfortunately for me, getting my order correct has become impossible. The last couple of times my tacos were incorrect. Each time I ordered egg & potato and picadillo with potato. They insist on adding cheese when I specifically DO NOT order cheese. And although the receipt will clearly say picadillo add potato, potato is not in the taco. When I call to inform them the order is not correct, they argue and say that is what I ordered. All 3 times, I was basically called a liar. Guess I have learned my lesson the hard way about the customer service here.

Donuts are delicious. Tacos not so much. They tend to be a bit soggy. I’d still recommend trying this place for all your morning donut needs. Also great customer service from their team.

Weve been ordering from both Donut Taco Palaces for years and prefer the second over the first. The sauces are better and Ive never crunched on egg shells when ordering tacos from that location. The last time my tacos had egg shells in them I called to let them know and the lady on the phone was dismissive and she didnt offer any means of correcting it, either. My husband just brought tacos home from there 20 minutes ago and once again, I had bits of egg shells in my taco, making it the third time this has happened over the past year. We wont be going back and wont bother calling it in since they dont seem to care about customer satisfaction.

Fresh tacos and even fresher donuts. The selection is pretty large and they always have enough of what I am craving. The staff is extremely friendly and the line moves pretty quickly on a Saturday morning. Stop on in, even the logo is cool! We got free stickers too!

The donuts are good but I would not recommend the tacos or croissants. The wrapping was full of grease. The croissants fell apart because of the heavy grease. One grab of the taco and your fingers felt like they were dipped in oil. They use chopped ham for the croissants! I wasnt expecting great food but I wasnt expecting it to be so bad.

I have driven past the 290w location hundreds of times but didn’t stop in until 11/11/20. Although the doughnuts were good, there was absolutely NO social distancing. In fact, the server had to shoo a bunch of guys away from the counter so I could pay for my purchase. I will not be back.

I had an apple fritter. Overall, it was delicious. Crunchy without being overcooked or greasy. I do wonder if they are using apple filling instead of fresh apples. I guess that would not be surprising. I just would have liked more apple in the fritter.

So disappointing. We won’t be back anytime soon.

I ordered a croissant sandwich for breakfast because the taco that I wanted for breakfast was no longer available. It was not pleasing to see the croissant placed in the microwave in front of me instead of a toaster to be warmed.

Awful customer service. It’s like the person serving us was intentionally giving us the opposite of what we asked for. The place was full of the most annoying patrons i.e. high schoolers that came up to the counter looking for their food and started grabbing and looking at everyone else’s and an old lady breathing down our necks, humming in our ears and asking us if we’re ready to order before an employee was ready to serve us. To top it all off, our donuts were absolutely mauled by the employees. There are just so many things, I could write a whole essay about this experience.

The donuts are good but the cream filled ones are gross. Also the kolaches taste off. They have great service . The sign i saw last week in the business says that mask are preferred but not required and that was concerning.

I think this place has the best Kolaches in Austin!Their breakfast tacos are also really good and very inexpensive.The only thing that makes absolutely no sense about this place is they make Green Salsa like 2 times a week. I just dont understand why they dont have a more popular salsa everyday. They ALWAYS have the garbage red salsa. Pretty frustrating.

I come here often and the donuts are delicious and tacos are decent. I’ve been here 3 times since Austin mandated masks. To not be wearing one in FOOD SERVICE during this time is irresponsible and disrespectful to the abundance of customers you are putting at risk every day. Especially as you watch them handle your food, the cards/money, pens etc without sanitizing in between. Honestly they should be shut down for not following the simple safety guidelines. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE IMMUNOCOMPROMISED OR ARE FOLLOWING THE RULES!!

I was craving breakfast tacos on my way to work when I noticed this place. I am so glad I did! The breakfast taco and kolache I got were so good. Plus, they were very fast despite a long line. I would recommend this place to anyone nearby looking for a good, quick breakfast.

My family goes here sometimes because it’s very close to our home but after my experience today I had to reflect on my previous experiences and ultimately decide to never go back. The employees are consistently rude, the ordering is completely disorganized, and the tables are messy. I can’t think of one time the lady behind the counter has smiled or acted pleased to have me as a customer. They have zero customer service skills. I feel resented for ordering something that’s not already prepared. No signs on donuts so we have no clue what they are and asking isn’t pleasant. Employees shouting through you to another customer. The food isn’t even good. Blah donuts and I make better tacos at home. It’s just close by and takes less time than going to the store. This isnt a one time occurrence either. EVERY time. I felt so unappreciated I got on here and spent 25 minutes remembering my password and writing this as a warning to others. It’s really too bad.

It doesnt look like much on the outside, but Donut Taco Palace is a local gem. Its well loved, with wonderful donuts, tacos, kolaches, and croissant sandwiches and rolls. The inside is very cutely decorated and comfortable, and friendly staff even during the busiest times. A great place, well be back!

I love love LOVE the blueberry donuts! The original blueberry cake was very light and fluffy with a thin sweet glazed. The blueberry iced was amazing! It was the first time Ive ever seen a blueberry glazed donut. Its just a regular donut with a blueberry icing on top. I also tried the potato, egg, and cheese taco, Mexican style taco, and the pastor taco. All pretty solid and affordable. Two donuts, two breakfast tacos, one meat taco, and a coffee came out to about $10.I went around 10am on a Sunday morning. There was a line, but it moves really fast. The whole time I was there, there was always a line of about 5-6 people, but it moves really fast. P solid breakfast place on our way back from enchanted rock :)

I really liked this place for breakfast tacos until earlier this week. Stopped in to order a breakfast taco and a coffee, but there were not any ready like I wanted. No problem. The clerk charged me while I waited. I look on my receipt and Ive been charged for a donut. Once again no big deal. BUT they argued that I had ordered the donut and refused to refund the money to my card. I had already tipped the girl and I guess she assumed I should just say no big deal and she should keep it. Another lady finally threw a dollar at me from the register. I HATE donuts. There is no way I ordered it. What happened to the customer always being right. It isnt about the dollar it was about the service. Ive never been treated like that. Wont be back. I can get breakfast tacos elsewhere.

Prices were right (inexpensive) and the donuts were delicious. The peanut butter bacon donut was a surprisingly tasty treat. Definitely try it. Did not, however, see any taco shaped donuts (the reason we stopped :-D) but the hook-em horns shaped donut was great, both of the kids had to have one.

I love this place.the donuts are good and the kolaches are good but they make killer breakfast tacos! They keep them hot and ready to go first thing in the morning but if you want one made to order they are happy to make one with any ingredients you choose! So when you bite into them you taste nothing but piping hot freshness and fresh ingredients
