Walmart has everything! From school/ office supplies, birthday gifts, hardware, craft supplies & even fabric!!I know I can always find all the cleaning supplies I need! Plus you can get your groceries & fun holiday decorations too! My kids love to have fun looking at the Halloween stuff!I’m disabled and just sad that they got rid of all their cashiers. I hadn’t realized how much work & energy it takes to do it all myself now. Wish we still had an option for a cashier!

New to Austin. Decided to try a Walmart further away from my address. (this location was recommended). Very nice store, and the shelves were full!

The store is clean organized excellent customer service

There were ZERO actual registers to check out at. Everything has been replaced with a bunch of self checkout lanes only. Personally, thats a deal breaker for me and I will not be returning to this particular location. I do not like self checkout, I do not want to touch the gross machines or bag my own order or be in a bay of people all standing far too close for comfort.

Guillermo was very helpful getting a battery swapped out even a few minutes after they technically closed. Very nice and did a great job getting me squared away with a battery that was the right one and installed quickly. Cleaned the terminals to boot!Great customer service!Went through the self check out line and got $40 cash back.........only I was in a hurry and left the $40. Went back a few hours later and asked and sure enough Art had seen the money left and picked it up and put it in the register.Thanks Art for being an honest and observant employee!When I went back I ran into Stephanie, who is the front end manager, but was actually checking out and knew all about it when I mentioned what happened.Mary got the money from the register and Stephanie compared receipts and I received the $40.Some really quality human beings working at Walmart!!!!Thank You Very Much Guillermo, Art, Stephanie, and Mary.The world would be a better place if every store had such great customer service and honest hard working people like you all!!!!!!!!!!!Thank God!

I love my Walmart store. But the checkout is starting to be a problem. Not enough registers. Do-it-yourself registers are OK when you dont have too many items but when you have a basket full of items working in that little space is just to frustrating. If they could just fix that it would be 5 stars.

The Romain lettuce was out dated. No cashiers only self check out. Optical staff was very helpful.

Relaxed shopping, self checkout, convenient location. However, the staff doesnt seem very knowledgeable about the products, restrooms are very stinky, In 10 years I dont think Ive ever seen an employee cleaning; stocking product...yes... cleaning...never. abs the other day I forgot my wallet and I guess their was an asset protection officer there that acted like I was gonna make a run for my car... it was very disconcerting!

Stop by to get money order..line was long but moved quickly. The person working customer service desk was very kind and friendly. Will come back to this location Hwy 290. Kudos to this person.

The Walmart at 71/i35 is bad. Too many homeless people walk around the store and the parking lot. Does not feel like a place where you want to linger and shop around. Sometimes there are fights in the parking lots because people are ghetto and cant resolve things right.Also, there are 20 cash registers but only 1 cashier. They claim not to have enough people but there are like 5 people walking around. Walmart needs to raise their pay and take better care of their employees. Walmart also needs to stop depending on the government to fund their employees medical bills. Some employees cant afford medical health care insurance offered by Walmart and it shows. Their executives are sitting on fat checks but the retail experience sucks. Especially at HWY71/I35. Parking lot is a mess!

Walmart… Walmart. I feel like I’ve given up in decent customer service at any Walmart. It’s a love-hate relationship with them. On one side the employees are not helpful, most of the time they seemed bothered if you ask anything, their produce is not always the best and they have limited variety and God forbid you need to visit the customer service center! But, on the other side they do have a lot of things so many times you do find everything you need in one trip, they have good pricing in a lot of items and well, you’re able to shop in peace.I must say though; recently I was pleasantly surprised with the Walmart Supercenter on Ben White. It’s the cleaner and more modern Walmart I’ve been to in a while. They even had either a male manager, or security guy (LOL I really couldn’t tell), who was not only nice but was engaging with the customers AND was doing his job. I also interacted with a nice and professional young cashier who did more than the bare minimum to ensure I got what I needed.

Easy Walmart to navigate and clean! Only complaint is they’ve completely gone self check out which isn’t this specific stores fault but at least have all the self check out lanes open, I still shouldn’t have to stand in line because there’s only 60% of them open.

I dont work for Walmart and what if you happened to have a full cart of groceries, that would definitely take some time... Ill go where they have better service and think better of their clientele .Even if it means paying a tad more for better service.

Its ok for being a Walmart. Its big and they have good clothes. Maybe not the cheapest ones but they have good brands in there. Its also close to other good stores and they have variety in their products.

Walmart has everything!! Including super sized anything....cleaning supplies, dog food....just any and everything. Also, theyre conveniently located right off 71 and Mopac in central South Austin. Their produce inventory is super fresh too. Definitely will be back to stock up on essentials.

Its good great freedom only if they had a place to sit down though there are no annoying law enforcement to bother you its A laid back atmosphere .

Nice, clean Walmart. But, all the registers were self checkout only, and no one to check you out. Lines 20 people deep, and multiple self checkout registers closed. I dont mind self checkout but at least open all of them 🤣🤣

Love the people who work at this Wal-Mart, many of whom have been working in the pharmacy, deli, and customer services for the past 10 years! Sadly, someone decided to replace human cashiers for self-checkout machines. I really do miss the cashiers. They enriched the lives of countless people by showing up everyday! Love them, and miss them already!

I am thankful for the availability and cheap prices walmart offers. The newly remodeled stores look modern too.

Well you know its the old story about WalmartOnce they make it to the top and put everybody else out of business around them. They just feel that they can treat you however they like. Of course its the individual clerks in the store so I cant blame the entire corporation but at the location on Ben White I was able to find a very friendly and knowledgeable clerk in the electronics department while I found a very rude one in sporting goods and also one that was rude in the front of the store at the checkout. Ive had better luck at other Walmart locations

Wally world always has what I am looking for. Its rare you dont find what you need and when you do you have options such as pricy cheaper or low value. Go for it. Give them a try.

I couldnt find a single basket and was forced to use the self checkout while an attendant stared at me making sure each item was properly scanned. I would have bought a lot more and used a cashier had I had a basket and someone not treating me like I was there to steal some suntan lotion. 100% will not be back to that location. No thanks.

Useless employees. Horrible store set up. I asked 5 employees where the item I was looking for was and they all deny me to different areas. And they were all wrong. Waste of time. Go to target across the street.

They have done away with cashiers,, its a self checkout system now. Not very pleased with this job killing enterprise that siphons money out of the community. I do nit shop there frequently, only once or twice a year for very selected needs. Shoo local business owners. Save the economy of your community.

Friendly staff,items were easy to find and locate. So far havent had to wait in long lines like other Walmarts in the city.

It’s a nice enough Walmart but this one old lady named ZAGA is thee ABSOLUTE WORST!! First of all is she allowed to wear those unsafe high heels? Second- because she isn’t from America she is allowed to be so rude and nasty to whom ever she feels like? If this is the person representing Walmart here in Austin I won’t be going back and I suggest none of you to go either. That’s how terrible she is.

Im giving this a 4 star bc the store is stocked, clean and easy to find the items needed. However, their Automotive department lacks direction. There is a super long wait just for typical service. Personnel is friendly over-all.

They did a great job of installing the self checkout . its so much faster. 3 stars because of the long wait times at the vision center. Theres usually only one person taking care of customers and each customer seems to take an average of 40 mins.

I would give a zero if I could NO ACTUALLY CHECK OUT LINES, Im on wic and so I have to scan everything then I have to have them suspended it then take it over to an ACTUALLY REGISTER..... So what no more cashiers how does this help with covid when you have 10 people + lines that wrap around the clothing area.... this is a BAD CHANGE. IT FEELS LAZY TO ME. So since there are o cashiers prices should go down right???

Walmart 2133 at S.Mopac & Hwy.290 West has the nicest, most helpful people. Its so clean and spiffy! I love the remodel they just did. All those self check lanes make checking out SO FAST!. No more waiting 25 minutes in line on busy Saturday afternoons . I always shop at that Walmart,I will drive right past the other 2 Walmarts in South Austin,just so I can go to Store 2133

Walmart is my go to place. While there today, my daughter texted she wished she had one near her (Arlington). I got my glasses adjusted and did some shopping all in one place!

Pretty much like most other Walmarts, except that they didnt have quite a few of the items we were looking for. Pretty busy but they only had self checkouts open. I guess they cant find enough help, which probably isnt their fault. Clean store, friendly employees.

Daniel with order pick-up went above and beyond for my futon order. Walmart shipping did not. BUT Daniel did. My order, a full size futon, was supposed to be delivered. Walmart has changed recently and somehow it was to be delivered through “doordash”. My order was to be delivered the 17th, we’re now on the 19th, and I had to call walmart.com customer service to find out what was going on. After finding out doordash delivery kept canceling my delivery, I went to pick it up personally in my Camry. I’m a 5’2 woman who purchased this for my university student son’s first apt. Daniel helped me even after I had to purchase rope, ensure I had tied down my trunk properly. I cannot thank him enough. Please reward him in some way for helping this mom get what was supposed to be delivered. I’m so grateful he was there and was even helpful on the phone earlier in the day to explain what the issue was with the drivers having too small of cars to deliver to me. I’m so disappointed in Walmart delivery, but Daniel made it a 5 star experience.

Nice Walmart. Going through remodel. Hopefully everything will be back on shelf soon. In addition they have remodeled the check out area. All lines except maybe 1 are self check out. Its just a big rectangle with check out registers lined around.

Had some questions about a product and the lady at the pharmacy was very helpful, she was very helpful and knew what she was talking about.

As expected, this place is huge! its so compartmentalized with vast quantities of different products, that, literally no one seems to know where anything is lest you ask them for something in their section.

Self checkout these days. They cut all of the cashiers so add in extra time to do that yourself. The giant retailer finding ways to squeeze out some more profits out of the communities it has invaded.

Worst Walmart Ive ever been to. Been here a total of ~5 times and every time its the same. Cashiers dont know how to work the computers, floor workers act like they dont want to help you, signage is incorrect or missing, shelves are never stocked, etc. Never coming back here.

Waited at the paint counter for 30 minutes 2 employees said they had no key and walked away. one employee called for help another 30 minutes no help. What happened to good customer service? :(

This store is my go to place and i find almost everything i need. Best part about this store is that it is open till late. Mobile app is also great, gives asile number while shopping in store. Walmart pay is great way to make contactless payment. Pretty crowded on weekends, but its very less crowded late night or weekdays. Happy Shopping!!!

They close earlier than most walmarts right now and they only open one side of the registers. Just dont go here for any quick last minute things.
