Im a huge fan of the loose leaf green tea here. Its better than the choices over at central market. Of course its all about personal preference.
Wonderful shop and very kind and helpful staff. I found some rare Chines medicines I couldnt find in San Antonio where I live so I traveled to Austin to get it. Everyone should come by and look around, its a lovely place that smells great.
My mother has been getting acupuncture treatment twice a week for her neck pain from an accident that happened many years ago. She has tried everything, and this is the only thing that has been proven to work. I highly recommend this place. Affordable, knowledgable, and friendly.
I was used to going to Lin Sisters herb shop in NY Chinatown for many years. Hang Fung is the real thing and I’m so excited to have found them. Dr. John Su is very thoughtful and thorough and the store owners are very knowledgeable and helpful.
Such a great selection and the owner is incredibly friendly! I just wanted to sit in the shop for hours admiring the wide variety of novelties.
Great herbal store with very traditional chinese herbal cabinets! Pretty neat store just to hang out. You might find some surprising goodies.
I absolutely love this place. You need to know what you are looking for as they do not give advice or much information for good reason. Go, look, take notes, research then return. Try a few of the dried fruits and nuts and some of the teas.
Only place I know of where you can pick up Yunnan Baiyao. This stuff is like icy hot x50 without the burning pain. Just a millenia old herbal recipe for soothing injured muscles. As a therapist I need this stuff to keep my muscles healing between intense sessions.
Not sure about other things but dont buy birds nest there. They sell fake birds nest at triple price!
The best place to buy Chinese herbs in Austin. The store has other things that is wonderful such as fresh tea.
