Id heard good word of mouth about Big Star Backyards, so that was the first place I looked when I wanted to get a Jacuzzi for my yard. Cory Power was really helpful explaining the options and answering questions - all with no pressure to upsell. I ended up getting the perfect hot tub for my space and delivery was quick and easy. Im so happy with my new Jacuzzi and the responsive, top notch customer service from Big Star Backyards.

Not sure I could recommend indoor Jacuzzi tub. If anything goes wrong they are of NO service. I have a faucet that WILL NOT shut off. Seems like an easy fix right? Well, apparently not. First, during the install they DID NOT leave an access panel so we had to open up an area to access the pipes. Secondly, there is a SPECIAL tool needed to remove the cartridges from the faucet. Guess what, no one carries that tool. I cannot reach Jacuzzi tub support . No one will call back.... left on hold indefinitely ....NEVER answering. When I call the ONE person in our city (Austin, Texas) that works on these tubs I get no return call despite numerous attempts. The Jacuzzi store tells me they only sell the tubs they know nothing about servicing them and continue to refer me back to a company called DC Professional Solutions who doesnt know how to solve our problem either. We are at our wits end. An affordable fix is turning into a VERY expensive remodel projects. Well steer clear of these style tube in the future.

We just purchased our first hot tub, had it setup, and couldn’t be happier that we went with Big Star Backyards. Chad was very patient and knowledgeable with all of our questions, which made the decisions and purchasing so much easier. The setup by Adrian and Cody was wonderful. We got a fairly large Jacuzzi brand hot tub delivered. It ended up being larger than expected in order to get into our backyard. It would not fit through our gate so we had to take off the fence panel on the other side of the house. It then required maneuvering around our other side fence and the slab for our AC units, and on a severe slant as we live on a hill. Cody and Adrian were tireless in working to get the tub through this tight space and even called someone from the office to help. It took longer than expected but they got the job done and I was impressed with their perseverance and professionalism to make sure I was happy. They even helped me put the fence back together. 5 star service in a difficult situation.

After looking at other spas this company seemed reliable. They did not try to trash their competitors like other stores I visited. Spa arrived in Austin on Schedule. The installation crew were experienced and all went well.

I would give more stars if I could. The guys at Big Star Backyards, Jim, Chad and Chris, are great and super easy to deal with. My friend and I each purchased swim spas at the same time and I have to say it is easily the best impulse buy Ive ever done.Jim honored his original quote for delivery and installation even though the site conditions at my house were very difficult and resulted in needing a much larger crane than anticipated. The swim spa has a 4 week lead time, which allowed me to prepare the necessary infrastructure for the spa. Once it arrived, the crane was scheduled and the installation went flawlessly.I ordered the CalSpa F1325 and couldnt be happier with my purchase. It has proven to be a miracle cure for the searing hot Texas summers and the shelter-in-place orders havent phased me since Im home enjoying the spa all the time anyway.

The ordering process for an E2E Sport Cover was efficient and the installation went smoothly. The installer showed up on time, which is always a plus! The cover is very easy to roll up and unroll and fits perfectly! I am so glad I replaced the boxy foam covers for my spa with this soft cover. So worth it!

We have been looking for our first hot tub for more than a year, everyone we talked to all quoted us between 9 to 15 months before anything we ordered. We had been to Jacuzzi of Austin in the past and just by chance we went back in to see if they had any floor models for sale. The sales person we spoke with was great same as we has received in each previous visit. We were new to hot tubs and wanted a good mid range tub. The sales representative showed us the Vikings tub we were blown away. It was perfect for what we were looking for and it was close to ½ the price of the other places we talked to and they could get us one in less than 2 weeks. The technician Chris was incredible as usual! Was his second time out to our home to service our hot tub and on both occasions there was an issue with getting the service door off of the hot tub. This was our fault as the deck installation was not done quite right. Chris patiently help free the door by unscrewing the deck panels that were obstructing. He could have easily just left and said there was no way to access. First class service by a first class technician!

The technician came out for a small thing that I wasnt sure if it was a leak or not. He identified the problem and recommended draining the spa, ordered a new part, and said the entire visit was covered under the warranty. Very pleased to have knowledgeable crews working on these spas and getting the job done right instead of a patch job that might be worse later.

I just bought a jacuzzi J445, and I’m 100% satisfied with the jacuzzi and everyone there...from the moment I walked through the front door, until my back gate closed from the delivery. The honesty from the front office and the scheduler. They will not disappoint you!

Luckily, I have only needed to fix my Jacuzzi two times in 15 years. I have been very happy with the service from Big Star Backyards (and Chris, in particular) both times.

Super satisfied. Hauling away the old hot tub was a beast but Chad and Chris got it done. The bottom of the old one fell off and they had to cut the tub into pieces with a chainsaw to remove it. Cleaned up nice and tidy afterwards (there was insulation from the hot tub everywhere after they sawed it). Dropped in the new tub couple days later, walked me through it. Definitely recommend. Flexible, professional, knowledgeable, friendly.Update: 7 months later and still love it. Stained the fence and decking around the tub and it looks amazing (see pic). Thanks again.

Great crew and deal with Jim, Chad, and Chris!I took a friend to look at swim spa sales around north Austin. Jim ended up selling my buddy and I swim spas. Other dealers couldnt beat the numbers and service. I purchased CalSpa FM-1681.Several crane companies gave estimates (too big require Right of Way permit to close street) and the smaller crane one was selected. Delivery and installation was smooth and fast. From truck trailer to filling water in an hour.Delivery from factory was about 1 month wait.Chris wired it up internally for stealth look.Chad and Chris set up hydraulic levers for cover lid.Quick review of basic spa operation and maintenance.Few weeks later when the deck is finished. I need to trade levers for cover baskets. Jim ordered it and Chris installed it with no additional cost. Jim threw in some additional spa cleaners as well.Chad and Chris are professional and friendly. Jim provided great customer service. He always responded to calls and texts, even after store hours.Theyre all focused on a great customer experience.Definitely recommend for anyone considering a hot tub or swim spa.

From the first time we walked in here, we believe that our interests were placed above the interest of the company’s. We knew nothing about spas and Jim Guide it is not toward the more expensive models, but toward exactly what has shown that we needed. We have called and emailed for advice and help and he and his son Chad have been there for us each time. Even the installation, carried out by other son Casey and nephew Chris, was a very satisfying experience.Don’t let Jim’s fast talking put you off, he’s just very caffeinated. This is a family business, and they’ve proven each time we talk to them they have our interest at heart.

Just prior to the freeze, the breaker to my jacuzzi kept popping off. I was worried that without heat, everything would freeze and cause major damage to it. After it was safe to walk on my deck, I discovered a leak and now my jacuzzi was nearly empty. Thankfully, I found this jacuzzi service close to my house and their service manager Chris was dispatched to my house. Turns out a tube had come loose causing the leak, easy remedy and one of the pumps was going out so it was the cause of the breaker popping. Chris was timely, friendly and knowledgeable and I will happily refer them to other jacuzzi owners! My ten year old jacuzzi is back to great form! Thanks Chris and Mighty!

My old Jaccuzi spa cover became badly water logged. I called them expecting to order one to be delivered some weeks later but they came out and installed a new cover that same day. Awesome! Everyone was great and professional. The only thing not top shelf was the removal of the old cover. The technician did take the old cover away, but when he installed the latches for the new cover, he did not take the minute to remove the old latches which are now useless. Other than this slippup, I find these guys great andf will work with them again.

Getting the hot tub in our backyard was a huge challenge, but the Backyard guys did not give up, and we finally got it in. No issues with setup and they were careful not to hit any of my sprinklers and were very careful not to damage our stone patio. Top notch crew and company!

I have an old hot tub that was leaking and had control problems. I will always give 5 stars to companies who are honest with me about service, even if the news might not be what I want to hear. “It might not be worth the fix”, but they quickly found and fixed the problem and gave me a fair price, an honest estimation of the hot tub life, what it would cost for long term fixes, and were polite and knowledgeable to boot. 100% recommended.

What a relief to find guys that really know there stuff. Great service.

Recently purchased a hot tub through them. The first part of the process was okay. I will say that they missed some set-up details that caused water issues. However, I kept asking them questions and we were able to get my water back on track. My bigger issue is, apparently they gave me a nicer set of stairs then they meant to but they didn’t realize their error for a month. Thus, out of the blue I get a call that they are immediately (like in an hour) coming to my home to take my stairs and give me a lesser set because “the boss said so.” My response was “I guess I don’t have a choice.” I was told they would bring me free spa chemicals for my trouble. Well, two hours later I had different steps by my spa but no “free” chemicals.Let me be clear here, I really don’t care about the steps. Steps are steps (which makes this even more unbelievable). What I care about is the lack of professionalism. 1) How do you demand back a used product that was your mistake to give in the first place a month later? 2) I wouldn’t want to be the people given these well used stairs as “new.” 3) The immediate demand to come get them “now” was tacky and inappropriate. Their lack of planning shouldn’t be by emergency. 4) To try and make up for it with a couple of spa products that they didn’t even leave is the icing on this ridiculously poorly executed plan.If you simply want a hot tub, go here. If you want a well run business that respects you and delivers the correct product, go elsewhere.

After researching hot tubs for months, I finally decided on a Jacuzzi brand. Big Star/Jacuzzi Hot tubs on Burnet was by far the most helpful of all the local places around Austin. I went and looked at tubs 4 times before finally deciding on the one I liked best and the owner Jim at Big Star/Jacuzzi never pressured me into buying, offered numbers on each model, and told me exactly what was needed in the yard to get setup. I didnt receive this level of customer service anywhere else. Months later after purchase, I had a water question and they walked me right through the process over the phone. Well done.

Just wanted to take the time to Appreciate Good Business. Search the web trying to figure out the way to go as far as Hot Tub goes will take you on a rabbit hole which is hard to return from. Before my stop in Big Star I had an appointment at another local store, I was to be the 1st appointment and sure enough we sat in the parking lot for about 25 min. Needless to say we departed. We ended up going to Big Star, the door was open we were greated by Big Yellow Lab wearing a suit and tie. It was a family affair with everyone playing a role in the process. Jim and Kacey made it a great expirience and even with a little confusion later on things all worked out. Due to everyone looking to have some sort of water outlet at this point we do have a little waiting period so to this point things are great. What sold me? A local distributor that stands behind the product and a strong warranty. The other two places we went did not have a product that we were interested in or a person to show the product. It is important to make the right choice in making big purchases like this and we feel like we have done just that.

Only Hot Tub Location in Austin you Need to go To. I visited two other locations on the same road and I felt like I was at a used car dealership. Every-time we discussed price they had to go to the back and talk to a manager. Additionally I already had a hot tub I needed to get rid of and the other locations would not remove them and the other locations would require me to hire an outside electrician just to plug the hot tub in even though I already had the correct wiring. I walked in this location and I met the owner and he made us feel warm and welcome. I told him the features I wanted and he showed us the perfect hot tub that was actually below our budget and did everything we wanted. There was no haggling and he even threw in the upgraded cover and stairs. Two weeks later they called and delivered the hot tub on time. We actually had a problem getting our old hot tub out and instead of walking away they spent 5 hours at my house getting it out and installing the new one. The owner gave me his personal cell phone number as well to call him if anything went wrong. We went in it for the first time last night and loved it!!! They went above and beyond any expectation. If you need a hot tub, dont even bother going anywhere else!!

I am enjoying my Calspa hot tub since it was installed 2 months ago in my backyard. Jim and his son Chad were and still are super helpful. Jim was instrumental in choices when I bought my first hot tub ever. The choice was great. His sons delivered and installed the tub all the way in Wimberley- very professional and efficient. As a new owner I still have a lot questions and the are very helpful and available to answer. I’m very happy that I went to their shop, which I found by accident 😁.
