Good Gelato. Nice flavors to choose. Earl Grey is s must try. The affogato could have used fresh ground coffee beans for the espresso. The acidity in the espresso is a bit high.

Some of the best gelato Ive had in the US. I ordered the most delicate of flavors to test and wow, the quality of ingredients gently but fully flow through the perfect milky-creamy sweetness. Coats the tongue l, each bite was a delight. Will come again next time in Austin.

Atmosphere: Fancy gelato/barService: Server seemed an odd counterpoint to the place, like a hipster skater. Not unfriendly, but not welcoming either.Food: We tried the fig and dark chocolate flavors. The fig was lovely and subtle, studded with chunks of fig deliciousness. But the chocolate was another level entirely, perfectly silky smooth, with rich chocolate flavor.

We stopped here for some gelato, and didnt really have a great experience.Weird vibes...the older lady behind the counter looked at us funny when we walked in. It wasnt a welcoming look. She announced that she was sold out of the only two flavors we recognized on the menu. Then, she responded rudely when we asked for samples. We wont be returning. We promptly left and went to a friendlier gelato shop.

Not bad, but fairly pricey for what it is. That may just be a consequence of the retail space being in the ground floor of a new building, but unless you live in the neighborhood, I dont think it distinguishes itself much.

Rude service! No greeting, no thank you, no smiling( he wasn’t wearing a mask), poke-face-long-stare. Yes, employee looks at you as like you did something wrong or owe him a million, as like he doesn’t want you to be there at all ! the “super cold” service make me feel the outside isn’t that hot anymore, would never come here again . Wouldn’t recommend it at all.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE their gelato! It’s the best I’ve ever had, and I’ve had it all over the world. My favorite flavors are their dark chocolate (it’s like fudge) and their pistachio (packs with pistachios, no skimping here)! They have outstanding vegan flavors as well. So good you don’t miss the milk. I had the vegan Chili Mango with a scoop of Coconut in a cone... oh wow, it made my week! The staff and owner are super great people. Outstanding service, and very respectful employees. Follows all the COVID guidelines to a “T”. I place a to-go pints for friends and family as well. Thank you for the great and safe service!

Honestly tasted good but the customer service was so awful I can guarantee I will never go back.Edit: I was outside on the sidewalk and at least 10-12 ft away from the doorway to order. Also saying someone is harassing someone is a serious accusation, and commenting about an incident isn’t that. I’m glad to see the response to my post highlights the great service. That said employee then verbally criticized my gf for not leaving a tip after she ordered. Yikes

I had an extremely awkward encounter that may just guarantee I never return. Upon walking up to the outside kiosk there was no greeting and the staff just stared until I asked a question. I don’t mind being left alone while I try and decide but even a bit of conversation to the only customers around would have been a bit appreciated. When it came time to pay, the tip was preselected at 20%. To change it, I would have to take and re-enter another number under the careful eye of the employee. I definitely do not think that they deserved 20% for the service that I received but if they rely on tips so heavily that they feel the need to pressure their customers, I implore Gelateria Gemelli raise their wages. I also believe that the prices are a bit high in general but that has no effect on this review.

This gelato shop has interesting and fun flavors, like earl gray and cardamon orange, and is overall a really decent spot for gelato. After being treated poorly by the owner on another platform I am stating that this review was written about an experience before the pandemic shutdown.I am also bringing it down from 3 stars (which I thought wasn’t that bad) to a 2 star review due to the customer service experience the owner provided recently. There was no way to get in touch with them because they were not picking up the phone. I couldnt find their prices or hours anywhere so we ended up going on a day they werent open - kind of annoying.Their prices are pretty up there.Employees didnt make us feel welcome. The flavors were super hit or miss.I bought a few pints to go and the guy just scooped their ice cream straight into a paper pint container. It melted so fast that by the time I got home it was more watery than a milk shake. They really need to consider keeping pints ready to go at a lower temperature or investing in better pint containers that will keep the icecream colder a little longer. Not the best experience and for the price and experience I would much rather go somewhere else.

Nice place offering a variety of frozen treats, coffees and other stuff. The flavors of ice cream are as varied as they are delicious ranging from mainstays like the semi bitter dark chocolate and sweer salted caramel to more unique wine/tea inspired flavors like olive oil(sounds weird but tastes pretty good) and my personal favorite of the refreshing earl grey. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about their offerings and were of a great help when deciding what to partake in(the uncommon flavors are great but make it hard to choose sometimes!). And to top it off, you can get your ice cream in a cone made right there in store(and it you time it right you can get a freshly made and warm cone to contrast nicely with the cool ice cream). If you want a tasty, refreshing and new treat a great price you should definitely consider Gemelli!

Best high end/specialized ice cream weve found in the city. For those who know gelato in Italy, this product is stiffer so it is scooped into a cone or cup rather than smeared. The flavor is great. Wonderful innovative gelato flavors, served by the scoop, great texture. Try their baked goods as well- we sampled their torta caprese (a flourless chocolate cake) when we were there. Its a traditional Italian cake made with almond meal). It had a love outer crunch and a soft inside, without the gooiness and over-the-top sweetness of American-style flourless chocolate cakes. So good! Cafe was clean, and espressos and Americanos were smooth.
