Wow. The other reviewers are not lying - this was excellent ice cream! I went yesterday as a pick me up, and the whole place is worthy of comment: so many different and very unique flavors, and all of the ice cream is made for that store from what I understand. The gentleman who helped me gave me samples to help me decide, and the price is great, especially considering how good the ice cream is! I was having a downer moment and coming here was the right decision - it is a clean store and I felt really welcomed in :) (p.s., get the Mexican Vanilla!!)

Their willingness to assist is so refreshing in a world that seems to becoming mechanical and/or apathetic. Also, compared to many other ice cream shops who seem to want to charge a mortgage payment for a simple scoop of ice cream, this one has more pocket-friendly prices. Authentic Mexican ice cream shop, and loved all of it. I got the mango and chile, and then went back for a second scoop of rose petal which is now my new favorite. My husband got coconut, tequila and cheesecake. Well be going back to try the amazing looking popsicles.

I went to buy an ice cream, but I was disgusted when I looked at the man who attended me wipe his nose and did not wash his hands and thus he attended to another client, he did not have the mask we are all supposed to use it, really disgusting not how it will be inside where no one looks at them? .

What I saw today really AMAZE ME because not every owner does this to help out with people with disability, the owner of this place made sure this MAN was attend, made sure he was ok every time while we were there. She even carry a conversation with him even though she couldnt understand him right cause of his disability. Its a MUST to come by and check this place with their incredible service, food.

I love coming here. They have some of the best paletas with unique flavors. My favorite ones are the cream based one. The fruit flavors are great as well and they offer many combinations. Give this place a chance, they are much better than normal American ice cream parlors.

Honestly its just really good, fun flavors that regular ice cream places dont have. So glad I visited. Definitely recommend the gansito ice cream.

Went for some elote (corn) and palettas (ice cream) since I was knew to Austin and am familiar with La Michoacana brand. Disgusting! They gave me corn that had been stewing in a crockpot, most likely canned corn. They served it to me in a bowl. I basically got corn chowder. Exaggerated, but I was shocked by this weird corn soup hybrid (very watery). The palettas also didnt taste like the on brand flavor Im used to. Idk if they were stale or were another brand all together. I dont recommend coming here if youre looking for authentic Hispanic desserts.

Holy smokes, I panicked and ordered boring but amazingly delicious ice cream (dulce de leche and rum raisin) but the other flavors they offer sound so good. Besides ice cream and sorbets they have both regular popsicles and ice cream popsicles. The corn is also delicious. The guy at the counter is very nice and let my husband sample a bunch of things. I cant wait to go back!

We are always looking for that special place to eat something good, and this place it is one of those places. We bought ice cream in cones, cup, and chocolate cover strawberries. Everything was really good. The coffee ice cream was delicious with an unexpected crunch. Well we did not stop there, and we had to try ine of the paletas. I got the strawberry with cream to together. I was so sad that I did not order it first, and that I had to shared it with my kids. Going back for more paletas. I want to try every flavor

I took my family to celebrate my wife birthday. She had three scoops with different flavors: coffee, pistachio and mango. My mom had one scoop of butter pecan chocolate in cone. My daughter had a strawberry fruit bar. Normally, she would chocolate ice cream. I had three scoops: butter pecan chocolate, caremelo, and pina colada. The gentleman who worked there was patient. Since it was the first time we visit the place, he showed us the menu. Ice cream is awesome. We will return.

Far and away the best fruteria Ive found in Austin, though there are a few newer ones still on my list to try. Michoacanas paletas are worth bypassing other venues closer to home - especially with hard to find flavors like mamey. They do a great job of the essentials as well - delicious elote cups with all the fixings, tall pours of aguas frescas, and fresh tasty fruit.Some dishes can be very spicy to the unfamiliar palate, so be careful before blindly choosing off the menu - but there are plenty of sweet and savory options available, so no one in the family should have a problem finding something they like.
