This place is awesome! The ice cream is very different, but good and Roz gave great suggestions. Roz brought a nice energy and friendliness that made the experience really enjoyable. I will definitely bring my friends and family back for more!

Really wish I could try the PB&J Miso ice cream sometime, but the Shroom of Doom had a carefully-crafted balance of salt and sweet! The mushroom strips were crispy and added depth to the entire ensemble (and ice cream needs depth, for sure).

Weird flavors but this place does it better than Lick.I got the Miso-PB&J and it was really good. It was salty and crunchyyyy from the croutons. The texture is solid- super creamy. The toppings are included so it makes the price not too bad!

Didnt like the ice-cream taste at all. The Miso PBJ was way too salty. Sum Yum Yuzu was OK but not worth the steep price at all. The best thing about this shop is the presentation and ordering system. As for ice-cream, if youre looking for the smooth milky and not too sweet Japanese ice cream, this isnt it.

The selection was very limited, but what they had was very well done and creative! They use a unique combination of flavors that arent always common in ice cream and I appreciate that creativity!

Dont go, not an enjoyable experience. The ice cream is fine, but expensive. Its an uncomfortable place, theres no seating and its not something you take to go.

Roz at the ice cream counter made our night! We hadnt gone to any restaurants in over a year due to covid but stopped by for our first date night out. Rozs upbeat personality and friendliness was such a good reminder of why going out in Austin is such a joy. We missed supporting our local businesses in person and Roz has reminded us of why we love (and need) our local businesses so much. Because of him we will be back VERY soon. Thanks Roz! Honestly, if I could give more stars I would. We tried this icecream place out of curiosity and were definitely impressed. I hate any frostbite on my icecream and am nervous to try new places but the icecream was the perfect consistency.The flavors were unique and tasted divine. We were helped by someone named Roz and he was great! Gave awesome suggestions and made the overall experience fantastic. He was so enthusiastic about the job and went above and beyond. We will definitely be returning and sharing this place with our friends and family!

Flavors are SO unique !! I tried the matcha flavor and added the miso butter pastry. It was very good! The ice cream is a little expensive, which is why I took a star off. For 1 cone and a topo Chico we paid a little more than $16! It was super tasty, maybe if someone comes from out of town or something we will come back.

They current arent selling ice cream in cups or cones, just milkshakes and pints. They should have specified that on their website or when we tried to call.

Ah-mazing. Definitely our new favorite ice cream shop in town. We tried the sum yum yuzu, 1000 kabochas, shroom of doom, matcha cha cha and the lime (so almost all of them), and lived every single one. The dipped cone is not your regular ice cream cone and is absolutely part of the dessert, so don’t skip it! I’m sure it isn’t the same in a cup.

Matcha flavor was intense! Just the proper matcha taste: earthy, grassy. A bit pricy though.Lychee marshmallow on top was so delicate with the thin layer of caramel and lychee smell.

Editing my review, because I think the recipes have changed. I loved these ice creams when I first tried them, but the last two times I went, it seemed like everything was overly sweetened. I used to love the yuzu mascarpone, but I think the formula changed and now it is more lemon merengue-y than sour mascarpone. The strawberries are also syrupy (as opposed to the first time, when they were fresh), and I havent seen the saw tooth leaf garnish in a while. I couldnt even taste the shitake or chocolate in the shitake chocolate caramel—it was all sickeningly sweet caramel. The green tea is my new favorite flavor, but overall I am disappointed by the changes in the other flavors. I also would like to see customized dip choices—I like the kabocha ice cream but dont really like the chocolate dip. Please change the flavors back to be less sweet! Or at least add some flavors like the green tea that arent so sugared.Old review:Yes, it’s expensive. But these flavors and toppings are unique and delicious. I had the yuzu mascarpone and it was excellent, like lemon cheesecake but better. Also the cones are made of sweet rice and are thus gluten free! I wish that there was a smaller size because it’s a little too much dessert for me. It would also be nice if the ordering system/menu identified where the gluten is for the toppings. I tasted the green tea and ube, but so far the yuzu is my favorite. I’m curious to try more flavors. The flavors aren’t super saturated, more subtle. Not oversweet, which I like. A lot of desserts only have sweet and maybe one other flavor note. All the things I’ve tried at dip dip dip have a really good balance of sweet, salty, sour, and bitter. Even umami in some but I haven’t tried anything with miso or mushroom in it yet. It’s definitely an Americanized ice cream Sunday form, but the sweetness and other flavor balance reminds me more of Thai, Vietnamese, and Filipino desserts I have had. If you’re expecting a decked out version of grocery store pocky or mochi, this won’t be it.

I have difficulty recommending this to people accustomed to American ice cream.If youve grown up on Blue Bell, youre probably going to express some level of emotion at discovering that the purple potato ice cream tastes exactly like pureed cold sweet potato.Or upon discovering that the chocolate shiitake mushroom ice cream has the earthy taste of pureed cold mushroom paste and vinegar and not Hersheys milk chocolate, youre probably not going to start gushing about how this is the perfect blend of umami notes.At this point, I have had each flavor except for miso pb&j.The presentation is 100% top notch. Its just that flavors you might associate with a main course are now presented to you as a cold dessert, and thats not going to be everyones cup of miso.

Dip dip dip is delicious. We got the Matcha Cha-Cha and the Sum Yum Yuzu. Toppings were really unique and tasty, and everyone was really nice!

Omg, Very big disappointment there, super small portion of ice cream, I finished it and still have 80% of cone left, they put alot of cone flakes on bottom in the cone, totally rip off, will never come back !!!
